The FOOD was amazing. Our family of 6 went today, I had the Hot Philly. So GOOD. I also tried all of my families food... the OG philly, Italian sub, chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, fries. Everything was fantastic! 10/10. The service was fast, the staff were friendly and attentive. The place was clean and the walls decorated with some pretty cool art. Thank you so much for the great food. Best place we ate during our trip. read more

I'm a Chicagoan, and we PRIDE ourselves on the proximity and access we have to GREAT food. I was in town for an event in downtown Chesterton and wanted something quick to eat before heading back home. Chomp came up in my search and I took a chance. And I'm so glad I did! The young lady at the register was firm, direct and patient with me as I had questions about the Philly versus Original Philly. All in a good way, I felt like she was coaching my through my decision. She was attentive unlike some cashiers at restaurants these days. I ended up getting the Original (peppers, caramelized onions, provolone) and when I tell you it was DELICIOUS! Seasoning, quantity, quality of ingredients and smooshed up and gooey just like a Philly should be. I wish I had taken a photo and I promise I almost circled back to tip my hat to the cook (and order another one for the next day). The inside of the restaurant is cutesy, purposely vintage and really colorful. All in all 10/10 for my visit to Chomp. I know the next time I'm in town, I will make a stop! read more

Well. I love a good deli sammich. BUT THIS PLACE MAKES THEM GREAT! Pastrami, Corned beef, Big New Yorker, Philly with provolone, Philly with cheese whiz, BBQ Bacon Philly, Maxwell Polish, Chicago dogs. DAMN! DELISH. TRY THE TOTS! Service is always friendly. Great family-owned restaurant for the best sammich in NWI! Bring the family. The atmosphere is small town idyllic! read more

We order through GrubHub. The order was incorrect for one of our three meals. It's hard to get the taste of onions off a burger even though you pick them off. The New Yorker was very good, and I love rye bread. Their chips were ok, but loved the BBQ chips they served this summer. They changed. The chips were different. There is a review from 5 months prior that shows Michigan Cherry BBQ chips. Those were not given tonight. read more

Not your ordinary sandwich shop. Excellent corned beef & pastrami. Big sandwiches & reasonably priced. Give them a try

Bbq bacon Philly n tots were good besides being Luke warm considering the wait time that was slightly disappointing.

It was the first time coming to chomp. We saw it advertised on Tik Tok. They have the best reubens. I will definitely be going back

Music on in kitchen to loud when u place your order.......table menu wrong price Table by vent horrible dust allover especially on the napkin holder Ruben and fries good Philly Swiss meh read more

I love the cheese steaks. I'm hooked. Sat at a table and watched all different foods they have. Now I'm going to try all of the other food. Great people behind the counter. read more

Amazing food! Got the Chicago dogs and a cheesesteak. Enjoyed both. Fries were good and so are the flavored lemonades. We aren't from around here and it seemed a little sketchy getting there going through neighborhoods bit once you arrive it's a cute place and the service was outstanding. read more

All of the sandwiches are great. I wish more places learned to cook their fries like Chomp, always so crispy. One of the best places in the area. read more

The food was fantastic and really tasted great. I will definitely go back. The size of the sandwich was huge and I really liked the whole restaurant. read more

First time there. These sandwiches are insane! I got the chicken ceasars this thing is gigantic. The bread, what did they do to the bread?! It's fantastic and they grill it with some parmesean maybe too giving it a like a tuile texture. Nom nom nom. The fries are crispy on the outside, squishy on the inside and perfectly seasoned. It has a great youthful fun vibe inside with plenty of seating. I ordered carryout at the counter and it was done fast! You can also order online by going to their website if you're in a rush (who wouldn't be to rip into these sammies!?) read more

Great food! Great staff! I heard 4 customers asked to leave due to disgusting behavior towards staff recently gave negative reviews. I don't always review cause I'm lazy, but they were and are wrong. Go get yourself a slice of cheesecake AND MORE!!! read more

OMG! I never start a review with that but Chomp is deserving of this exclaimation. My first time ordering from Chomp was something I wish I had done a while ago. First impression walking in was the dining area was clean and tastefully decorated. You can tell there's a community conection with the items around the store displaying local school and other Chesterton items. The cashier was very pleasant and answered all questions. NOW THE FOOD....OMG! I ordered the Big New Yorker. Corned beef, pastrami and melted cheese on marbled rye bread. OMG! It comes with chips and pickle, it was delicious!!! My wife opted for the patty melt, a full 1/2 pound burger with carmelised onions and cheese. Also comes with chips. A nice aspect here is you, via the large ordering window, are able to see your food being cooked no walls between the kitchen and the public. OMG! She loved the burger and the marbled rye as well. We both opted for the tots instead of chips or fries, good choice. The tots were crispy, hot and delish. I am looking forward to sampling more of the menu as this may have been my first visit but it will not be my last. Oh and I must tell you that they also gave me a veterans discount which made the entire experience even more pleasant. Go to Chomp and you too will be saying OMG1 read more

Best Philly ever, I LOVE coming here! Hits every time. The staff is also super nice. I'm so glad they have a shop now

The size of the sandwich seemed small, but I heard otherwise from a coworker so I guess it depends who is cooking idk. Don't feel like I got what I paid for. But the food was good. read more

MAN what a great sandwich! This was my first time stopping here yet I'm a long-time cheesesteak aficionado. This place has the intense flavor that highly-regarded chains lack, at a price that was reasonable by 2025 standards. I got the Hot Philly and it was a perfect blend of hot and savory and decadent. The large was a *very* substantial sandwich. Tots were fresh and perfectly crunchy too - WAY better than your regular bag of chips at the other places. Next time, I'm getting the loaded Philly tots too. It's an hour away from where I live but I'm seriously considering making it a regular stop :-) Gracias Chomp! read more

Been going here once a week for over a month everything was excellent. Today how ever the guy taking order made a mistake and did not put cheese on either of my large sandwiches. Called and he was like a little rude and said if I didn't take a bit out of sandwiches then when I come back next week he would make new sandwiches lol. Not going to keep 2 sandwiches laying around to return. read more

Their food is good and the portions are very reasonable. If you have not been to Chomp yet, I recommend giving Chomp a try. I have ordered from Chomp about five times as of the date of this review. Account of todays visit though my review is only four stars instead of five account chef over-grilled the bread on my Ruben sandwich, it was hard and dry and tore up the roof of my mouth, now a bit sore and can feel the skin hanging . Come on chef you can do better!, (do not grill the bread until it's hard and dry). I should not have to, but guess in the future I will have to stress "lightly grilled" when ordering. Otherwise my Ruben was very good on all other check marks. read more

Overpriced with a small dining room with chairs that are awful and uncomfortable. They charge a fee for cards as if they are still in the food truck at a festival. They don't listen and gave me condiments on my cheeseburger that I asked to not have. They even repeated it back, but put them on it anyways. Then, the cheeseburger was swallowed by the bun. The most irritating part was they refused to give us a straw and lid for our drinks, so we couldn't even take them to go when we left. They said they don't have any, yet they gave other people after us. Guess we weren't privileged enough to get them. I even thought maybe they were just running low and they weren't giving them out to the dining room, but some got them and some didn't! I just won't go back. I'm sorry I just think they seemed to be understaffed and it wasn't a great experience. read more

Had a cheesesteak here. Really? Meh. They either slice their meat too thin for my liking or they are using a product out of a bag. Not sure. Seemed like the old Steak-Ums. No peppers on the cheesesteak? Do I need to order those additionally? If yes, that doesn't seem like a cheesesteak. Idk what all the hype is for a $14 sandwich? The Wiz Cheese seems weird as well. Definitely a product. Took about 10 minutes to get one sandwich and fries. Wasn't a terrible wait. I split the sandwich with someone who couldn't finish their half. Just unappetizing read more

Had the Original Philly and the Loaded Fries both were really good, would definitely go back and try more!

Love their food truck , the restaurant just blew us away! We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and it was fantastic! Having eaten Philly Cheesesteaks in Philadelphia I can honestly say Chomps nails it! so flavorful! The service today was the best! Carmen took our order, she was so friendly and really made sure our order was right! She came to our table several times to make sure everything was good. We will be back again, not only for the great food but for the great service!!! So happy Chomps is in Chesterton! read more

Ordered online for take out. Good food with good service. We will return! Food was hot and ready when we got there.

Food and service were great. Ordered the Ruben, Philly cheese, and loaded tots. All of them were exceptional! Ready to try more menu items.

Nah took one bite and tossed it in the trash, drove an hour to Portillo's ...very satisfied

Pretty good cheese steaks this far from Philly. Friescand tots were good. Pricey but big enough to split.

Very big portions and food is made when ordered so don't be surprised if you have to wait a little. Worth the wait the and staff was very friendly. read more

Service was absolutely horrible I wasn't going to leave a review cause the owner said he would take care of it but it has been several weeks now and all they do is avoid the calls, The food was good the Philly was worth it but we was also supposed to get 3 loaded tots, and didn't receive any. We did get a chili cheese tot and it was good but the whole generous portion claim is an absolute lie they give you a little container for $10 absolute rip off, so we paid $30 for loaded tots and got zero and never got any refund. We was told multiple times by owner named Mike that he would take care of it to just give him a couple of days but to date that has never happened and we just got the run around so if you expect honest service with good food you will be highly disappointed read more
