Stopped in while in town for an event and needed a quick bite. I ordered the Cheeseburger & Fries, which came with a drink for a very reasonable price. The burger itself was pretty good, but it was messy--next time I'll definitely ask for no mustard, since it was all over and tough to clean up. Unfortunately, it also ended up bothering my stomach later in the day. I don't live close enough to visit often, but I'm sure I'll be back eventually to try something different, especially since options in the area are limited. read more

I went in unsuspecting, and wasn't sure what to get so I asked the employee at the front "I know I want Irish Fries, but what burger do you think would pair best with them?". Im not sure what I did to him, I don't believe I know him but for some reason he had plans that were sinister to say the least. He recommended the Hebronator. It has two patties, grilled onions(also comes with grilled mushrooms but I took them off), bacon and some sort of fancy sauce. Im currently halfway through the meal and I fear the end is near. Assassination? an overestimation of my character? or just a simple misunderstanding? I assure you I do not know, but sir I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused you or yours. I've ordered twice from here and ended up with food poisoning both times. My first order was the beef nachos, and the hamburger meat was spoiled. I barely ate any of it and had the worst abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. My second order a few months later was a BLT. You could taste the old burnt grease on the bread. Pav's gets a solid 3 from me. There are pros and then there are cons. The burgers are pretty good tasting and the chicken pita is one of my favorite things to order. They need to add a bit more lemon juice to their chicken lemon rice soup, it's a bit bland and tasteless without it. Sometimes the fries are good, sometimes they're not, it all depends on who's working, which makes a big difference in the quality of the food you get here. Since they got a new owner you can tell that the gyros don't taste the same, and I wasn't given tzatziki sauce sauce last week, which I mean, kind of is what makes a gyro a gyro. The prices on some things here too are hyper inflated, but then again, it's Hebron, what else would you expect. Def recommend the jalapeno poppers though, those are always consistently good. read more

I've driven by here countless times for years and never stopped by. The outside looks divey, and I didn't figure they would have much I would be interested in. Wrong! They have a huge menu (look it up)! We ordered a ridiculous amount of food wanting to try as much as possible with our party of six. We got fried mushrooms, fried pickles, BLT, fries, chicken strips, shrimp basket, the Hebronator (huge hamburger named after the town), tacos, and sodas. The food was really good. The only complaint was the chicken was basically heated up frozen chicken strips. Other than that everyone loved what they got. To top it off, the prices were quite reasonable. We got all of our food for around $50....keep in mind how much we ordered. With a friendly staff and not too far from us, we will definitely be back. read more

Hebron is blessed to have a good dine in/ take out restaurant like Pav's. The food is excellent and at a reasonable price. It's nice to have a restaurant like this instead of having to drive to Valpo or DeMotte for anything comparable. read more

Thursday afternoon I had a Fish & Chips dinner, take out. I can't exactly call that food, and the vast majority of it went to garbage. I have never experienced that peculiar taste, quite unpleasant, that they called fish. I believe I can honestly say that had to be tied for the worst food of any type I have ever had. On the other hand, the fries were OK and the cole slaw was actually good. Expensive cup of slaw is what I took away from that meal. And instead grabbed aging leftovers for dinner from the 'fridge. read more

The food is pretty typical of your greasy spoon kind of place. The grilled chicken on pita was very good. Way to heavy on the Mayo though. The fish sandwich was pretty good as well. Lemon rice soup was ok. Inside the dining room is filthy and the floors are coated in grease. Bathroom was gross too. read more

Best burger around is the Hebronator. It's a cheaper version of Radius in Valpo, and owned by the same guy.

Had the best burger I've ever had, at Pav's. Went for the first time the other day, and ordered the cheeseburger with the works, and added grilled onions/jalapeños. AMAZING! Their fries were good too, and they make all their own sauces, including their ranch which was wonderful. read more

This place wasn't even busy when I just stopped there. Ordered a gyro plate with extra pita and also a regular gyro. Asked for extra sauce, no feta cheese on the gyro plate and no onion on the regular gyro. Well they give me 1 sauce in the whole order no feta cheese for the regular gyro and onions for both sandwiches. Well at least I got the extra pita. Won't be going there again. No excuse for such lack of getting an order right. read more

I will not be returning. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The order took 35 minutes and when i received the order the fries were cold and the bread on the burger was so soggy it was falling apart. When my husband and I first moved to Hebron with our child everyone had been raving about Pavs, but I didn't even notice that the building where it's located was IT because it looks like an empty building...kind of run down. Well, the food and service make up for it and the inside is nice and clean. I had the gyros plate...my husband had the "hawks" burger...my mother had the pork tenderloin sandwich ....my father had the shrimp basket...and the little one had kids chicken tenders. All the food was good, and you can tell they make ALOT from scratch which is always nice. We will definately be returning. read more

Pav's is your typical Greek fast food joint but they take it to another level. If you look past the typical menu they have at these places, you will notice items like the HEBRONATOR and LASAGNA. I was told by several people that their Lasagna is the best. I have yet to try it but I know I will at some point. I'm happy this place is only 10 minutes from my house. Hits the spot everytime! Pav's isn't a fast-food joint; it's a restaurant with food that is served fast. The ribs are ridiculously, fall-off-the-bone delicious! I don't know how they do it! The perch and gyros sandwiches are also five-star meals. Congratulations and thanks to the owners for some of the most flavorful food around. P.S. In regards to someone needing tomatoes on their sandwich, it's pretty simple to ask for a forgotten item. To give fewer stars because of that is just not fair. read more
