    Master Bath Remodel Pic 1

I can't say enough great things about this company. They just finished my master bath remodel and it looks fantastic! Not only that, but Alik, and the crew were a pleasure to work with, always on time, working hard and with superb workmanship, and cleaned up all construction messes every day. Alik was helpful in giving me sound advice on some of my design and color choices. And their pricing is very reasonable. I saved thousands of $ compared to other quotes I had received. I would highly recommend them, in fact, I already have to some friends and family!

I hired capital construction to redo my bathroom. I worked with Thomas and under his guidance and design expertise I now have the bathroom of my dreams!! Thomas picked the design and held my hand through the whole process. He also helped me with my insurance company! Excellent service and care. I can not say enough about the whole team!! I thank you all soooo much!

Work Quality: 5/5 Communication: 3/5 We love our new kitchen. It has totally transformed our quality of life and we feel a renewed love for our entire home that we owe to the good workers at Capital Construction. Ultimately we are happy that we went with this company because the results speak for themselves. That said, the experience of the project itself had several points of frustration that I can't overlook. Hopefully reading about my experience can better prepare you for your projects with this company. Admittedly I am not a seasoned homeowner and haven't worked with many contractors, so perhaps my expectations were skewed. You can judge for yourself based on the facts below. Thomas came out to see our kitchen on June 26 to provide a bid. It was a well-priced bid and we felt reassured by Thomas's confidence in our job being an "easy and quick job" that would take 3 to 5 weeks, so 2 days later we signed their estimate and paid the $1000 deposit signaling we'd like to move forward. Our design meeting didn't get scheduled for a full month (finally met on July 31). We still had a long runway, we told them we had guests coming to stay with us for the last week of October which was our only deadline, so at this point we were not too concerned. However as August came and went with no movement or communication, we started to get worried. This is when I realized I needed to be more assertive and pay much more attention to this project. After I prodded, our first day of work was finally scheduled for Sept 11 - 2.5 months after we accepted their bid. And in the end, the workers were still finishing up on the same day of our guests' arrival, giving us just a few hours to clean up and rush to put our kitchen together. The workers are top notch. They do good work period. No complaints at all about the guys' work ethic and quality of work. The main challenges we had were around communication and scheduling. Examples below. The design meeting was in-person at their office where we saw a technical drawing of our kitchen and all the cabinets that needed to be ordered. Thomas showed us a few cabinet door styles, but no specs about the materials or info about options for inserts/accessories. Alec said we could decide on that stuff later. It wasn't until work was well underway that Thomas said we should have decided on them during the design meeting. Very confusing. We decided to switch cabinet brands a few days after the design meeting. This caused a small delay which was worth it to me to get the right cabinets. But from then on Thomas reminded me of this change-of-mind every time I expressed concern about the project timeline, which I felt was unwarranted. Once the work started I thought we would have workers coming every day. But for most of the weeks, workers would only come for 2 or 3 days, sometimes only for a few hours at a time. It's hard having 2 young kids and no kitchen, so each day with no progress felt extra disruptive. I figured since we hired a company with a project manager we could be more hands off. But on the days the workers were here, I was frequently called upon to answer questions, make small decisions, run out to purchase missing parts, etc. I wondered "is this typical?" but did it anyway since I just wanted our kitchen done asap. The workers seem to answer mostly to Igor. A few times I played middle-man between the workers, Igor and Thomas. I was confused about who I should be communicating with. Thomas only came to the work site a few times. I sent him frequent progress photos to keep him up-to-date and report issues that needed changing/fixing which I then had to reiterate to the workers. Again I wondered "is this normal?" There was an extra $800 added to our bill for tasks I didn't know went out of the estimate's scope. I wished we were informed about the charges before work was done. Conclusion: Ultimately we are satisfied overall with the work done and with this company. It's no small feat to renovate a kitchen on time/budget (mostly). Thomas was responsive and listened to our concerns even when his hands were tied, which I did appreciate. And maybe one day I'll look back and see that my expectations were way off. With all of that, I think 4 stars is a fair rating.

I highly recommend Capital Construction. This review is a long awaited one as I've had service done previously and did not get to write a review. I worked with Igor and his team to get my kitchen counters remodeled. Igor is very professional in arranging and giving you a quote. He arrived with his team to take measurements and to also "gut" out the old tile that was in the kitchen. He also was patient and understanding about me wanting to save money as at that time, I had just moved into the area with no full time job. He works with Arizona Tile and he asked me to go and pick out slabs of granite and choose one that was more affordable. I was grateful to have found one that appealed to my liking, one that was lighter in color and also was "scrapped" to save money. Igor is highly communicative, now for the guys that came to install the granite, there was just a minor situation where they did not want to have the piece go on the wall by the kitchen window, perhaps they were in a hurry. They were going to leave without the granite going up on the wall and so I had to ask them to do so and they did. So just a tip, be mindful and communicate with the people if Igor is not present. Overall, I still give them 5 stars as they were reasonably-priced and Igor, the owner for his communication and professionalism.

My bathroom re-model was just completed and the guys did a great job. They kept me updated and confirmed things were the way i wanted throughout the process. They were careful, clean, and worked hard each day.

My wife and I have been trying to get our kitchen island one level for the past 5 years. All other companies were not helpful or had very high quote. Finally we found Capital Constructions and Alik stopped by to give us a quote. We started with the island and ended up upgrading everything. All the staffs from this company including Igor the owner, are super patient, pleasant to talk to and very fair with the price. They are very honest with their estimate and timeline to complete the work. If they are not able to get it done, they are not going to bluff it. We love the work that is done. We picked Quartzite Taj Mahal, recommend by them, and very happy with our decision and the way everything turned out. Roman did an amazing job cutting the slabs, and what a precise and accurate job. Thank you Alik, Igor, Roman and the rest of the staff.

Capital Construction got me and my family exactly what we were looking for. We were interested in two things: new flooring and new counter top install. I had shopped around for quotes and nobody else I spoke to was capable of doing a mitered edge apparently which is a huge deal we researched when it comes to having your new counter tops look really premium. We wanted to invest in a higher end quartzite material rather than just quartz and Thomas from capital construction was able to work with us and get the job done as quickly as possible. His quote was more than fair and had been one of the better quotes I had gotten, so it was a no brainer. It did turn out that we were going to be short on material which was frustrating, but Thomas was helpful and accommodating and we were happy when it all was said and done. The new flooring was installed quickly and I'm confident it will last. The new counter tops look premium and were fabricated and installed much faster than expected. Those 2 projects made a huge difference in our home and we feel like we didn't have to break the bank to get it. So if you're wondering if you should work with Capital Construction, I would highly recommend you get a quote from them and feel confident that the work they will do is of quality and more than worth the cost.

I knew this wasn't good, as fungus means moisture and dead stuff (old wood). Thankfully this isn't a "M word" story (mold). But anyone would be concerned by a weird intrusion like this so I had Good Life come out and check it out. I had been dealing with real estate recently, and I was somewhat familiar with Good Life for home inspections so I gave them a shot at this repair. Project Manager Eugene arrived with one of the construction crew and they explained what they could do to assess the problem. We scheduled them to come out and pull off some drywall and do a moisture test. The next day they were able to confirm that water was getting into the wall from a part of the outside stucco and had caused extensive dry rot down to the studs. Obviously, this is where it sounds expensive. Eugene explained in detail what needed to be done to repair the damage and to prevent a future leak. He emailed me a detailed repair with a reasonable estimate, including an up front discussion on change orders that may need to be made. I approved the estimate online and felt confident that the guys knew what they were doing. Over the next week or so the crew from Good Life worked efficiently and professionally to remove the old stucco, wood and insulation and treat the fungus affected area which about 10 feet high by 8 feet wide on the exterior. Eugene called or updated me on the daily progress in-person and was very professional. The crew was Ukrainian and spoke some English along the way but Eugene and a couple others explained everything clearly. After a couple of detailed change orders the crew put the front of the house back together with fresh wood, insulation, stucco and a brick veneer that looked especially challenging. I was very impressed with the crew's versatility in how those guys were able make the house look the same down to the paint and the landscaping that was in front. Good Life did great work and made my house look good as new. They worked quickly and effectively and left a very clean result inside and outside. The cost was a good value for the amount of work I saw completed and the attention to detail. I would definitely call Good Life again for repairs, but hopefully we're done with anything at this level. Great job guys.

Would not recommend Rose Remodeling - we met with this company at the Home show and set up an appointment- the sales rep (Eric) came out on the 4th in the evening, took measurements, we went over what we wanted and he said he would get us an estimate - haven't heard a peep - don't waste your time as they will waste yours and not communicate - he also kept saying "this is going to be expensive" without even knowing our budget. My husband was concerned that the sales guy didnt act like he knew what he was doing when talking through what we wanted, measuring - then we sat our our table for 15 minutes while he scrolled home depot site showing us shower heads -- I told him he could just send us something as I was losing patience -- so he said he would send us an estimate and left - that was 10 days ago - not an email saying working on it, not a can't do it -- nothing. I appreciate small businesses and want to support them but not to my time and expense. I also understand (from my past experince being a home show participant) that there may be an influx of sales calls, etc..however that is not an excuse for zero communcations after an inperson sales meeting. Poor leadership, sales and attention to detail which unfortunately for the team doing the work could cause more problems. Recommend to owners to be honest - if your sales team doesn't want to do the work or can't - just say so - don't say you're going to do something and never deliver!!! Also, why waste your money at the home show if this is how your sales team operates? If they don't communicate before the project, imagine the lack of communication during the project!!! RED FLAGS! I'm leaving two stars as the sales rep did provide a good picture of work Rose has done in the past that now I can use to show other companies what I want.

I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!
