We are absolutely thrilled with the work Capital Construction did in our home! From the very beginning to the final cleanup, we had such a great experience with this company. They replaced all of our countertops in the kitchen, butler's pantry, and laundry room. They also lowered our raised bar and fabricated a beautiful new rounded countertop, which made such a difference in the look and feel of our kitchen. In addition, they installed our new sink, garbage disposal, faucet, and backsplash, and reconnected our dishwasher, gas cooktop, electrical outlets, and under-cabinet lighting. The workmanship is beautiful, but what impressed us just as much was the care they took with our home. They did an amazing job protecting our new floors, cabinets, and furniture and cleaned everything up at the end of each day. They were respectful of our home throughout the entire project. Alik was wonderful to work with from the very beginning. He helped us with design decisions, coordinated all the different parts of the project, kept everything moving, and was always available to answer our questions. We really appreciated his help and communication throughout the process. We are so impressed with how everything turned out and feel that we received excellent quality and service at a very reasonable price. We would absolutely use Capital Construction again and highly recommend them to anyone considering a kitchen or countertop project. We LOVE our new kitchen! Thank you, Alik and the entire Capital Construction team! read more

We had worked with Capital Construction on a small kitchen electrical project in the past, so when floors needed to be replaced, we asked them for a bid. They were several thousands of dollars less costly and provided a broader scope of work than all the other bids we received. Alik our design consultant and Daniel our project manager could not have been more helpful throughout the entire process. When hiccups occurred, they were quick to offer advice and options to keep the project on time and on budget. The entire team was at once friendly and professional that included timeliness and cleanliness of the worksite at all times. We will invite them back soon for another room remodel project. read more

If you want a fast, professional and beautiful renovation...Captiol Construction is who you should go with! This is the 3rd renovation I have done in my lifetime and by far the best and easiest! Thomas and his team at Capitol Contruction are a dream team. The process to renovate our house has been seamless. We really enjoyed going out to their show room to pick out our materials. This made the process very easy. Every single staff member has been kind to us and professional. And the most important part...the renovation is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Everyone who comes in our home is shocked by house nice it looks. We renovated our home top to bottom. Capital Construction has done two bathroom countertops and shower ledges for us and their work has been excellent. But this review is for customer service, specifically the support we have received from Thomas. We have been considering a kitchen remodel and Thomas has been incredibly helpful and supportive as we've gone through trying to figure out what we wanted to do and changing our minds more than once. We never felt any pressure from Thomas to get the project started, he has always been willing to help us make changes and give us good advice on what is and what is not a good idea. We've had nothing but positive experiences with Capital Construction, I would have no issues recommending them. read more

Capital Construction just completed a renovation of our kitchen. We are delighted with the outcome. Every person involved in our project was professional and courteous. The quality of materials and craftsmanship were top notch. Our home was respected. Our existing floors and cabinets were covered and protected. Thomas was very helpful and responsive. We highly recommend this company. read more

I can't say enough good things about working with Capital Construction. My family just finished up a few large renovation projects for our old home in a historic Sacramento neighborhood, which entailed a full renovation of our main bathroom, master bedroom, and living room. The work that they completed is high quality and was delivered within a reasonable timeframe.  We found the Capital Construction crew to be very polite, professional, and great at their jobs.  Their project manager, Thomas, kept in consistent communication with us.  Also, typical of renovation projects on old homes, unforeseen issues arose, but Capital Construction helped us problem-solve so that we received the deliverables we wanted at a fair price.   As you've seen from other reviews of Capital Construction, they strike the increasingly rare balance of providing high-quality work at a reasonable price.  I'd like to underscore this.  None of the other bids we received could compete with Capital Construction, and my wife and I are very, very pleased with the quality of their work.  Capital Construction delivered.  I would highly recommend you work with Capital Construction.  I know we'll be reaching out to them for future projects. read more

I hired capital construction to redo my bathroom. I worked with Thomas and under his guidance and design expertise I now have the bathroom of my dreams!! I thank you all soooo much! read more

Work Quality: 5/5 Communication: 3/5 We love our new kitchen. It has totally transformed our quality of life and we feel a renewed love for our entire home that we owe to the good workers at Capital Construction. Ultimately we are happy that we went with this company because the results speak for themselves. That said, the experience of the project itself had several points of frustration that I can't overlook. Hopefully reading about my experience can better prepare you for your projects with this company. Admittedly I am not a seasoned homeowner and haven't worked with many contractors, so perhaps my expectations were skewed. You can judge for yourself based on the facts below. Thomas came out to see our kitchen on June 26 to provide a bid. It was a well-priced bid and we felt reassured by Thomas's confidence in our job being an "easy and quick job" that would take 3 to 5 weeks, so 2 days later we signed their estimate and paid the $1000 deposit signaling we'd like to move forward. Our design meeting didn't get scheduled for a full month (finally met on July 31). We still had a long runway, we told them we had guests coming to stay with us for the last week of October which was our only deadline, so at this point we were not too concerned. However as August came and went with no movement or communication, we started to get worried. This is when I realized I needed to be more assertive and pay much more attention to this project. After I prodded, our first day of work was finally scheduled for Sept 11 - 2.5 months after we accepted their bid. And in the end, the workers were still finishing up on the same day of our guests' arrival, giving us just a few hours to clean up and rush to put our kitchen together. The workers are top notch. They do good work period. No complaints at all about the guys' work ethic and quality of work. The main challenges we had were around communication and scheduling. Examples below. The design meeting was in-person at their office where we saw a technical drawing of our kitchen and all the cabinets that needed to be ordered. Thomas showed us a few cabinet door styles, but no specs about the materials or info about options for inserts/accessories. Alec said we could decide on that stuff later. It wasn't until work was well underway that Thomas said we should have decided on them during the design meeting. Very confusing. We decided to switch cabinet brands a few days after the design meeting. This caused a small delay which was worth it to me to get the right cabinets. But from then on Thomas reminded me of this change-of-mind every time I expressed concern about the project timeline, which I felt was unwarranted. Once the work started I thought we would have workers coming every day. But for most of the weeks, workers would only come for 2 or 3 days, sometimes only for a few hours at a time. It's hard having 2 young kids and no kitchen, so each day with no progress felt extra disruptive. I figured since we hired a company with a project manager we could be more hands off. But on the days the workers were here, I was frequently called upon to answer questions, make small decisions, run out to purchase missing parts, etc. I wondered "is this typical?" but did it anyway since I just wanted our kitchen done asap. The workers seem to answer mostly to Igor. A few times I played middle-man between the workers, Igor and Thomas. I was confused about who I should be communicating with. Thomas only came to the work site a few times. I sent him frequent progress photos to keep him up-to-date and report issues that needed changing/fixing which I then had to reiterate to the workers. Again I wondered "is this normal?" There was an extra $800 added to our bill for tasks I didn't know went out of the estimate's scope. I wished we were informed about the charges before work was done. Conclusion: Ultimately we are satisfied overall with the work done and with this company. It's no small feat to renovate a kitchen on time/budget (mostly). Thomas was responsive and listened to our concerns even when his hands were tied, which I did appreciate. And maybe one day I'll look back and see that my expectations were way off. With all of that, I think 4 stars is a fair rating. read more

I highly recommend Capital Construction. This review is a long awaited one as I've had service done previously and did not get to write a review. I worked with Igor and his team to get my kitchen counters remodeled. Igor is very professional in arranging and giving you a quote. He arrived with his team to take measurements and to also "gut" out the old tile that was in the kitchen. He also was patient and understanding about me wanting to save money as at that time, I had just moved into the area with no full time job. He works with Arizona Tile and he asked me to go and pick out slabs of granite and choose one that was more affordable. I was grateful to have found one that appealed to my liking, one that was lighter in color and also was "scrapped" to save money. Igor is highly communicative, now for the guys that came to install the granite, there was just a minor situation where they did not want to have the piece go on the wall by the kitchen window, perhaps they were in a hurry. They were going to leave without the granite going up on the wall and so I had to ask them to do so and they did. So just a tip, be mindful and communicate with the people if Igor is not present. Overall, I still give them 5 stars as they were reasonably-priced and Igor, the owner for his communication and professionalism. read more

Daniel and his wonderful crew recently installed flooring in my mothers home. They were prompt, kind and very efficient. They completed 3 bedrooms and a bathroom in one day. The baseboard caulking is perfection! Daniel was extremely communicative with me, answering all of my questions. Not only that, he replaced a section of baseboard in a completely different room and did not charge me. His crew, Sergei, Dorosh (spelling?) and Andre are all kind and helpful. They are a focused crew, and with Daniel available to answer all my questions, I am one pleased customer! I highly recommend Capital construction! read more

We just had Capital Construction remodel one of our bathrooms and they did a fantastic job. They have great attention to detail and do excellent work. Every aspect of the remodel was done to perfection. They are very polite, clean, and easy to work with. They came highly recommended by a friend of ours who had them remodel a couple of their bathrooms and they did not dissapoint. They are very reasonably priced too. When it is time for us to have another remodel done, Capital Construction will be our choice. The bathroom is just absolutely beautiful and everyone who has seen it has been extremely impressed! Thank you Captial Construction. We have already recommended them to others and would highly suggest you consider their services. You will not be dissapointed. read more

Capital Construction got me and my family exactly what we were looking for. We were interested in two things: new flooring and new counter top install. I had shopped around for quotes and nobody else I spoke to was capable of doing a mitered edge apparently which is a huge deal we researched when it comes to having your new counter tops look really premium. We wanted to invest in a higher end quartzite material rather than just quartz and Thomas from capital construction was able to work with us and get the job done as quickly as possible. His quote was more than fair and had been one of the better quotes I had gotten, so it was a no brainer. It did turn out that we were going to be short on material which was frustrating, but Thomas was helpful and accommodating and we were happy when it all was said and done. The new flooring was installed quickly and I'm confident it will last. The new counter tops look premium and were fabricated and installed much faster than expected. Those 2 projects made a huge difference in our home and we feel like we didn't have to break the bank to get it. So if you're wondering if you should work with Capital Construction, I would highly recommend you get a quote from them and feel confident that the work they will do is of quality and more than worth the cost. read more

My wife and I have been trying to get our kitchen island one level for the past 5 years. All other companies were not helpful or had very high quote. Finally we found Capital Constructions and Alik stopped by to give us a quote. We started with the island and ended up upgrading everything. All the staffs from this company including Igor the owner, are super patient, pleasant to talk to and very fair with the price. They are very honest with their estimate and timeline to complete the work. If they are not able to get it done, they are not going to bluff it. We love the work that is done. We picked Quartzite Taj Mahal, recommend by them, and very happy with our decision and the way everything turned out. Roman did an amazing job cutting the slabs, and what a precise and accurate job. Thank you Alik, Igor, Roman and the rest of the staff. read more

I was in a pinch and Capital Construction really came through. One of my tenants damaged a single family home rental we own. I had a tight timeline to turn the property over, and Thomas responded immediately to my inquiry and visited the property the next day. We hired Igor and his team to fabricate and install quartz countertops in our newly renovated kitchen. From the first step of obtaining a quote to the final step of having the work done, it was as simple as can be with Capital Construction. Their communication and helpfulness towards any questions I had was above average. They provided me with a great price and the finish product came out beautiful. Igor was able to answer my questions on the support that I needed to build the island properly to hold the weight of the quartz before they came out for the install. I usually do not have a good experience with contractors but I will easily go to this company again if I ever need any countertops installed. These guys know what they are doing. read more

We just went through the longest kitchen remodel. Some background. Our sewer backed up, toilet overflowed, the bathroom flooded, water soaked through and warped hardwood in laundry room, and soaked into kitchen cabinets. We called our homeowners insurance and before we could even plan our next move, they brought contractors in who demolished everything. Did they have a plan for us? Of course not. They basically said find yourself a contractor. Thankfully we contacted Igor and his crew at Capital Construction. Everything had to be planned out, from picking cabinets, countertops, kitchen hardware. We had nothing while this was happening. Usually you wouldn't demo until cabinets are in or close to being in, and this wasn't our case. Igor's team walked us through our options and quickly ordered everything. We picked custom, so the wait was nearly two months. In that time they redid all our plumbing in the kitchen so this wouldn't happen again. They put in new electrical and discovered a support beam on a load bearing wall didn't exist.... It's a wonder the ceiling didn't collapse on us. All taken care of by Capital! More important than any of this is our new kitchen is beautiful. Even some missed opportunities in the planning process that we'd wished had been addressed, Igor has gone above and beyond to bring everything up to our satisfaction. I can't recommend Capital Construction enough! Just an incredible job Igor and his team did for us. read more

All the workers were efficient and polite and went out of their way to take care of any problems. Needed tile in our family room & new bathroom counter tops installed in my home. Contacted Capital Construction & they contacted me quickly to measure. Installation went great. They did a fantastic job. We chose our counter tops from the back remnant area, which fit perfectly. You can choose from their samples, remnants or select your own slab. They have a nice showroom from which to choose. From them masking off rooms for demo, installation, to the final cleanup, it all went smoothly. The tile laid on our family room floor and around our fire place by Vladimir was meticulously done and looks really beautiful. We were very pleased with Thomas and the Capital Construction team. They made everything easy for us from the initial quote to the completion of the work they helped us all the way. Then when Arizona Tile placed the quartz slab we loved on a 3 month hold for builders only they went to bat for us and were able to get us the 2 slabs we needed to complete our project. When Thomas came out he listened to what we needed and made suggestions. He helped us pick out the materials at their showroom, he helped us match countertops and cabinet designs. He recommended cabinet alternatives; again keeping our budget a priority. Everyone involved from the making of the cabinet doors and gorgeous pantry they built to the tile work in the bathroom, countertops, flooring and the installation of the sink and faucets. Igor and CC are THE best. I originally found Igor through a furniture store about 14 years ago and had him install carpeting. About 10 years ago I decided to use him to update my kitchen. Fast forward to now and CC just finished two bathroom remodels and new tile flooring in my laundry room. I am extremely picky, and a typically anxious person so doing a remodel is very stressful for me. Igor has a very calm personality which really helps lower the stress level for me (that is another huge reason i continue to choose CC). CC's work is impeccable and i have never had any complaints whatsoever. I was mostly never home when the work was being done and i trusted them to be in my house unsupervised.
