As a parent you do your research for a "driving school" to teach your teenager how to drive. Here is my experience. The driver came out to my home to pick my daughter up and drove her 45 minutes away to a site to teach her the "basics" and the driver drove her back (another 45 minutes). Mind you I'm paying for 2.5 hours. Her total time of driving was 25 min in a parking lot. I reached out, not a very happy parent to express concern, only to be told repeatedly "the instructor might have felt she wasn't ready and drove her to a site so she can practice." Again...45 min away instead of local parking lots at parks? I made the comment maybe she should change instructors, I was told to go online. So I did, I ended up calling the number to get help, and I didn't like the answers of the lady i was speaking too. She said she talked to the owner of the company and he sides with her. I asked if he can call me back in 24 hours, because the circle game is getting boring. Mind you I've been emailing for a few days, with the same response, and nothing is getting resolved. Honestly everyone...when the owner of a company answers the phone and says "Your gonna let me talk first." It's game over. I kept my tone, his raised, infact his yelling was so excessive I didn't have to put him on speaker, my co workers could hear the screaming. I told him how social media will love this review. Also told him to not speak to me that way, he came off EXTREMELY defensive and again, he screamed something (at this point my co-workers are questioning HIS behavior. After we hung up he started to text me! Um hello, why? Which already "said owner" is in the wrong. He crossed a line, acted completely unprofessional, harrassed me after our phone conversation texts. Also threatened me that any negative comments on social media he will get a lawyer involved. But its ok for him to tell me that im a bad mom? He doesn't want his name smeared (maybe act a little more professional?) So no, I definitely don't recommend this company to help your child. Go somewhere else. P.s. I knew about the policy, and never once asked for a refund. Why he felt the need to aggressively text me, 13 texts in a 2 min span? Go somewhere else, our kids will thank us. And for those who are considering..please review the Better Business Bureau website. You would think the owner of a business would rather resolve a simple situation instead of acting like a man child. What business owner would make threats about contacting Child Protection Services to have a child removed, BLOCKING an upset customer or to threaten to call the local police for a "wellness check." Because the owner is still unaware how to resolve issues. I welcome all to review the 1 and 2 star reviews, because there is a reason for those reviews. Bought driving classes for my son for a Christmas gift, we just didn't have the time to teach him as we were extremely busy with work. Etc. My son was extremely nervous, his instructor was Jannet he stated she was very informative and took great time to teach him. Like anything in life as it relates to business your experience will be based on the employee you interact with. Unfortunately for us the driving instructor my daughter had wasn't a good match for her. So this review is based on her experience with Rachelle Warring. I've seen other Cantors reviews mention driving instructors that they highly recommend so our review isn't really a reflection of Cantors business as a whole. Throughout her behind the wheel lessons I instructed my daughter to keep notes on her experience & this is what she had to say: -continuously turning up the radio when I purposely turned it down to focus -being indirect with answers when I asked a question -Having a nonchalant attitude and tone when we were driving, getting snappy fast, having moments when she snatched the wheel -waiting until we're up on a sign to instruct me on it instead of telling me while we are a little ways behind -being silent for majority of our rides! I felt as if I didn't learn anything, and I had to piece things together as we went, there was no direct instruction throughout the courses Before booking with Cantors my daughter already had a little experience operating a motor vehicle. Our reason for putting her in driving school was for her to learn the laws of the road, that didn't happen. She did pass her driving test in the end but Rachelle expressed that she didn't feel she was ready to drive. To me that is also a reflection of her teaching. We do feel like we wasted almost $700. Thankfully she is driving fine & out & about on her own. read more

I was on Rt 51 a couple of days ago and a white car with Cantor's Driving School logos on it careened across 4 lanes from left to right and just missed side-swiping the whole left side and left front of my car by no more than two inches, in order to exit on the right side of the highway. If this is how your employees drive they should have their licenses revoked and not be teaching driving to anybody. read more

Just finished my 10-hours behind-the-wheel training with Kathleen H. I got my license from another driving school more than a year ago and never driven after that. I didn't learn much from my previous instructor as I didn't even know how to park the day I "passed" my road test. My teaching instructor was Damon W. He was PHENOMENAL. I am a 21 year old female with anxious parents that would not teach me how to drive. I signed up for the Green Light Package and have to say that it was fully worth it. I sat for the first time in the driver's seat super nervous to even be on the road and after being in the car for 4 sessions with Damon, my confidence has greatly increased in addition to FINALLY being licensed to drive in AZ! Damon was always very positive and calming but most importantly he believed in my ability to drive us safely on the road before I could. Honestly this service is beyond incredible. Claudia is an outstanding instructor: she is so very friendly, helpful and direct. She makes driving easy and manageable and gives substantial tips that you wouldn't think of while driving. However, she is direct when she needs to be with important factors which is soo important! My son did driving lessons with Claudia and it wasn't a good experience for anyone I'm sure. First off, she came two times out of three early. Not at the agreed time. If I'm to respect your time please respect ours as well and come at the time you agreed to. My son described her as being inpatient on the road, and easily frustrated with him. He's not an experienced driver, thus why I'm PAYING you to teach him. He has yet to take his final evaluation and I'll be asking for someone else for that one. This review is a must!! I am 24, never drove before, did not feel confident behind the wheel...AT ALL!! My instructor was Claudia and let me tell you!! She is just THE BEST! I purchased the green light package which consists of 10 hours of driving, road test included. From day one she made it seem so easy...she is so patient, calm, explains as many times you need until you get what you need done! I've never been on the streets before and she deposited so much trust in me that I completed day one anxious for day two! Day two I was feeling more comfortable driving, we did some parking, showed me some cool pointers to parallel park, did our 2.5 hours and I was already feeling confident that day! day three and four I felt like i've been driving for a while..I swear!! Claudia helped me so much and she doesn't just sit there telling you where to go, she explains what to look out for, what to pay attention to, she sets a plan for what you need to practice on and I couldn't be more happier to have her as my instructor. I'm so happy I did this. I'm 16 and starting this I was really afraid for two reasons. One what if I mess up while driving and people get hurt. Two I was getting in a car with a complete stranger. After my first lesson I felt relieved and didn't have to worry. The car had a break on the instructors side to make sure no one got hurt and my instructor Monty was soo easy to get along with. He kept very calm with me and helped me learn a lot. I had lots of questions about what to do and he always answered them. This was seriously the best decision to learn how to drive. I recommend it to everyone and I recommend Monty as an instructor. You won't be let down. read more

It's a good driving class, but I was expecting more out of it...like an extra class where they can teach you the laws... you don't get that here. Monty the instructor is a good guy but to me he's not a good driving instructor that will make you feel safe and confident. I've never personally used this company however when one of their driving instructors was driving erratically (speeding, tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic, no blinker Etc) I reached out to them via Facebook messenger about their instructor driving un-safely so they were aware that that kid of driving can hurt someone and also looms bad for their company, they came back and assumed I was on my phone while driving (I was passenger and it's obvious in the video I sent them of their company car I was referring to) and told me I was now being unsafe then telling me I'm a bully and that I'm teaching my kids to be a bully (he could hear them talking in the video from the back seat). VERY unprofessional and not how that should have been handled. This company is not whom I would ever go with based off of that conversation. I have the whole conversation documented if the owner would like it but they need to set a safe driving example if they intend to get business. read more
