Great place to get your CDL. Also great place to get it quick then going to other schools paying thousands of dollars. But if you don't know how to drive a manual make sure you practice a lot. This is not like a normal school where you take your time, cause time costs money and you will be spending a lot of money if you need more time. They teach you the pre trip and the 3 back up tests and the road test. Classes are usually early mornings. Before learning the pre trip and everything you must need to have your permit. They have some books to help you as well if u didn't get it yet. Also if you practice and take your test in a automatic truck you will be restricted and can't drive a manual. If you test in a manual you will not be restricted. But if your new to this and don't know anything. I suggest a different school. If you wanna learn like every thing. Like backing it was my first time and the guy got frustrated with me. I didn't like that. After that they switched me instructors.

Hello! If you're reading this, you found the right place! Don't forget, you NEED your permit to attend this program. Read the ADOT manual. Focus on the chapters necessary for class A or B. Review the test your knowledge questions on each section. Go take the permit tests & take your permit to this program! So my father located this business & informed me of mixed opinions from randoms. Personally, I was very impressed. I wasn't expecting so much progress as a one week student, but thankfully the instructors made it all possible. Starting off with pre-trip inspection, i suggest you take notes, attend as many as possible to learn from the best, aka Michelle, the queen of pre-trip inspection. She makes learning fun & memorable. Thank you Michelle! My driving instructor was Lowell. Huge thank you to Lowell for being so patient with me. He offered so much motivation & instruction that suited my learning style, which accommodated me to better comprehend/understand & remember the necessities for testing. Huge thank you to Lowell = Highly recommend ! Mickey, don't be fooled by the petite female, she can out drive anybody! She offered me very helpful tips & tricks that helped me be a better driver. Thank you Mickey for being such a kind & patient instructor. Scott, the man! Great instructor, Great evaluator, I always felt comfortable & safe. I was worried about feeling intimidated, indecisive & most of all afraid of failure, but all instructors made me feel comfortable & welcomed ! Also, thank you for providing cold water for everybody. That was an excellent touch. Highly recommended this business to anybody & everybody. Men& women. All shapes, sizes, colors :-)

This is the price list of when I attended the school. Please call & confirm pricing, but here's a ballpark.

I give this CDL training school a strong 5 stars! This review will be very detailed! This school has high foot traffic, but they staff manages things very well! I had to call the school several times, due to coordinating with class availability & my job. If not within the same day, the next morning Kayla would call me back & answer all my questions...she gave me the pricing, class dates available, and ultimately got me setup. Upon arrival at the school, you setup with Kayla again for your registration & payment...simple, quick process, before you start your classes. I opted for 2hrs of backing, pretrip class, and road test...they're 1 of the few schools that allow you to take either a 7 day course or you can pick & choose which courses (hourly) you need before testing! I strongly suggest taking their pretrip class no matter what! It's helpful to learn the verbiage & exactly what they're looking for from you during your pretrip inspection!!! I am a complete newbie at backing with a trailer...I was instructed by examier Lowell, super cool guy with a lot of patience & tips on how to do backing maneuvers. After 2hrs with him, I felt a lot more confident in testing the next day. If I'm not mistaken, I had examiner Scott for my test...he too is a super relaxed guy & doesn't make you feel like there's a gun to your head while testing (the school administers the test, not MVD/DMV). Collectively, the staff was all around pleasant...they made every transaction clear, concise, and most of all COMFORTABLE! I passed my cdl test with 2 days of pretrip class & 1 day 2hrs of backing...its possible if you really want it! I highly recommend this school due to total professionalism, quality & pricing...by far the best priced school I've come across. I hope this review helps, and good luck to you in your CDL quest!

Instructors always on their phones and like to provoke arguments from students. They will do anything but teach you. Go to this school only if you want to teach your self, sit around for hours on end wasting valuable learning time. The recruiters walk around constantly bringing up how they get paid more for students passing their tests so it is all just a money game for this school. Over crowding the driving pad so you have less time to actually learn or practice, completely unorganized management, no curriculum set in place so each instructor tells you different things, instructors being overwhelmed and overloaded with students forcing students to teach each other. All the training vehicles have various issues making the manuever / driving inconsistent. The school is also infested with mosquitos and ants and they do nothing about it but recommend bug spray

Based on his recommendation, my husband and I called and made a same day appointment to get more information and check the school out firsthand. Our appointment and ongoing contact was with Carlos. He explained their program, gave us a tour and answered our questions. He was very personable and relaxed. No pressure. We spent about a week discussing the logistics of going to school and basically making a career/life change. After that things happened pretty quick. We again met with Carlos. Then we met with Janessa who answered all our questions about Werner. Janessa is awesome! She and Carlos took care of all the paperwork and got us a prehire at Werner Enterprises. (Although the school is owned by Werner, there are other options.) Brittany, who handles financing, walked us through the process. Classes start every Monday. We picked a start date then used the time to study for our CDL permit. Sidenote: Get CDL permit, drug test and DOT physical before starting classes if possible. You will get out of the classroom and to the core elements of the program quicker. Plan on classes taking up a major part of your life for a short time. The program is 160 hours. It is Monday thru Saturday from 7am-6pm with an hour break for lunch at noon and a couple smaller breaks. The goal is to prepare you to take and pass your CDL test. To do this they focus on the three parts that will make up your CDL test: Pre Trip, maneuvers and driving.

Over the years, I have sent several friends and their kids to ABC Driving School. While much…read moredepends on the level of experience and the ability to pick things up quickly by the student (0 Experience and slow to learn usually means spending more time in the parking lot; and sometimes, extra lessons are needed before a student is deemed good to drive). While the school tries to have the same instructor for both lessons, sometimes scheduling issues (or requests) prevent this. Also, my friends kids have said that some instructors are better than others (same thing can be said for people in general; you get along better with some people than with others). But, only 1 feels that they didn't get what they paid for (though they passed the road test and got their license without a problem + the Certificate of Participation than can save up to 60% on Car Insurance). While the other 6 really liked it. Will they write an independent review? I don't know. But, I thought that I would give one. However, if your kid (especially with experience) or you, feels that too much time was spent in the parking lot on the first lesson (expect 1 to 2 hours at least). Or, the instructor didn't do the job adequately, you need to make the school aware of this so they can work to resolve the issue. It was school policy that regardless of the level of experience, the student is to start out behind the wheel, as the instructor has the auxiliary brake and accelerator. And, can easily drive/control the car from the passengers' side.

I am so impressed with ABC driving school as they all did an amazing job. My sons 3 instructors Alison, Otisha, and Luis were beyond amazing friendly and made my son feel super comfortable. We had a fantastic experience with ABC from enrolling to scheduling all the way to completion so once my son turns 16 he can walk in and get his license. I 100% would recommend ABC driving school to anyone.

5 stars for location & teaching style…read more This business is located about 10 minutes from the DMV office. Although class is from 8-4:30, you must be there at 7:30 AM in order to register. The class size is small, so the instructor is able to engage the students. Although I was required by law to attend Traffic Survival School in person, I learned things about driving that I had never even knew existed. So, I gained new perspective. The method is a mix of lecture, workbook, and video. If you don't speak English (well), they can still work with you. (While I was there, an instructor was working with new Americans from Africa who only knew broken English.) After class let out at 4:30 PM, I drove quickly to the DMV office. I stood in the Express Lane and had a clerk help me reinstate my suspended license. Despite popular belief, she accepted the paper certificate of completion from Universal Driving School. I paid with a debit card. (I think you must use plastic for this lane because it's like an ATM machine.) Literally, I walked out of the DMV at 4:55 PM with 2 large receipts proving that my license was reinstated. I kept them in my glove compartment and (legally) drove home. Bring beverages and snacks. While lunch break is only 30 minutes, you get to eat in the classroom. A basic Circle K is only one block away.
