Found this little gem on google maps. And omg. We added this place to our favorites for when we come back to town. SOOO GOOD!!! Someone else had a pic of this stuffed pepper and that literally was the one dish that made me want to go there lol. And guess what I ordered, the same dish. Lol. And it was exactly how it looked on the other persons plate. And it was SO good! Stuffed with shrimp, and flavor and etc. it was a total of 2.5 meals for me. My fiancé ordered the veggie enchiladas and added chicken. They had mushrooms and spinach in it. The black beans and the lime rice was delicious. And for our dessert, we were totally talked into getting this mango cake thing. No idea. But it was SOOOO good. It's not made there, it's shipped in, BUT it was regardless very very good. It didn't taste like it was shipped in, cause it was so soft and moist, not dry at all. The mango sauce stuff that they drizzle on top, however, they DO make that in house. DELICIOUS!! read more

Very happening place. Good Mexican food especially guacamole. It is very fresh because they make it for u at the table when you order it. The chicken/beef fajitas are amazing. The meat and vegetables are all fresh. Customer service is good for being a busy tourist downtown Branson. I give it a 4* because of the rice, not as great as I expected. I think it could be better for the price you pay. Little over priced for Mexican place. When you GPS, it's a little hard to find it, park at shops near bass area and walk to it. As Mexican food snobs from Southern California we didn't have high hopes. But man were we so surprised. I had the carnitas and it was falling off the bone amazing!! All of their sauces were so flavorful. My husband had tacos and really liked the spicy salsa they brought him. And we both liked the margaritas. Service was really great and they were great with me being gluten free, I have celiac. Also for Mexican roasted corn it was decent, not amazing but decent. Three stars isn't bad! It's average! The chips and salsa were great with the salsa a little on the salty side. The tableside guacamole was good but was the money worth the one avocado they put in there with some queso fresco and pinches of onion, tomato, and peppers? I don't think so. My mother and father's meals looked great and full of food. But based on my barbacoa tacos, the price was not worth it. One of the three tacos had mostly fat. They were good, but not worth what we paid. It took a little while for the bartender to make one of our drinks, and it wasn't during a prime hour. This isn't bad but it added to. Service was great. Food was sub par. Tortilla chips were stale. Margarita was mediocre. The rice tasted like it had been cooked a week prior. It just wasn't the quality of food we expect at a high end Mexican restaurant. Even the kiddos Mac and cheese was lumpy and sad. The food just didn't taste like it was made to order. More like it was prepped at 1 pm and sat under a heat lamp for hours. Could be to the punch Covid has taken in so many restaurants, but I hope they get the food quality back up. I was looking for a good dessert place in Branson and the only places opened was Wal Mart bakery and this place. We went here and asked our waiter what was the most popular dish and he said !! So we went ahead and ordered that plus a brownie, to our surprise they literally made it in front of us. We went here based on the recommendation of a local that I work win. Oh my gosh this place is amazing. The staff was delightful. Very helpful in defining what is good to eat and explaining the menu. They bring you multiple bowls of chips and a bowl of salsa for each person at the table. And they keep it coming. The salsa is amazing. We also got the guacamole that is prepared table side. Delicious. I had the Carne Asada and it was probably the best Carne Asada I have ever had. It normally comes with a chimichuri sauce but the waiter recommended the chipotle wine sauce they put on the Carnitas. He said it was amazing on the steak. And it was. Absolutely delicious. Very disappointed the one In Huntsville,al near my home closed so when I saw this one I was very excited unfortunately that was short lived when I arrived I requested the patio that was deserted one table was occupied the restaurant was at best 1/2 full and the 3 people at the host stand advised and hour plus wait. Our last night at Table Rock Lake we went to Cantina Laredo. The place is nice and has a view of the water and the fire show at the landing if you sit on the window or outside. The interior is simple but nice. There is a big bar in the center. Our party was four people and we had three different entrees. My wife and I split the combo fajitas - our daughter had a fish special - and her friend had the carne asada taco plate. The beef was tough and cut to thick making it chewy. Some of the chicken in the fajitas was under cooked and could not be eaten. There was not enough guacamole and so we asked for more and got charged $3.50 for about two table spoons full. My daughter did really like her fish but did not enjoy the side items. The salsa and chips brought before the meal were top notch. My wife had one margarita and I had a coke The service was 8 on a 10 point scale. Unfortunately, both my wife and I got ill after the meal. Not good! The cost with tip was $81.00. Will we return. Probably not following this experience. Would we recommend CL? in fairness we have had several better experiences eating eating at CL so its hard to tell you not to go. Maybe this was a aberrant experience? I'd say beware and approach with caution. read more

My 3rd time at CL over the past 10 years was less than exciting. The free chips had no salt and tasteless. Ordered chicken enchiladas and spouses ordered impossible tacos. The beans and rice sides to my enchiladas were 7 out of 10, okay but nothing special--everything needed salt, and I don't ever add salt unless I have to. While the menu description of the enchiladas was technically correct, I expected that the chicken would have had something done to it--even simple salt and pepper seasoning, cooked in a little onion, something. Nope, it was (I think canned) chicken and that was it!! The impossible tacos had good flavor in the "meat" but the tortillas were basically raw. Favorite place to eat in Branson by far. Most of the time when we are down here we will stop in for lunch then maybe come back in a couple hours just to get dessert. Great quesadillas, enchiladas, tamales and of course you have to get the apple pie with cinnamon ice cream. read more

THE FOOD... ...was delicious, probably the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. Then again, I've never paid close to $25 for any single dish in any Mexican restaurant anywhere, so it had better have been good! I highly recommend a visit here if you are in Branson. Be sure to order the ASADA Y CAMARONES... it's very, very good. The wife and kids also enjoyed their meals very much and we all gave high praise to the manager on duty for the efforts of our server Sydney! TIPS Something else we saw while enjoying our meal was something the menu described as a MEXICAN BROWNIE w/pecans on a sizzling skillet with Mexican Brandy Butter and vanilla or cinnamon ice cream. It looked absolutely incredible and planned to come back for a second visit during our stay. However, there were so many choices for food in Branson that we never returned. Please try it for me if you come here and tell me if it was everything I dreamed it would be :-) Try the patio for dinner were you can watch the fountain show that happens every half hour or so. This place is pretty darn good. While not traditional Mexican food the fresh flavors and presentation are much better than I was expecting. The skirt steak was awesome and the other dishes my family ordered were quite tasty as well. While we understand that everyone is short staffed lately I didn't feel that the wait times or services was unreasonable. Mihaelah was our waitress and she was on top of everything very friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations for our family. Friend and I were just n Branson for a conference. Been eating hotel conference food. On the last day we skipped out on a class and went looking for some good food. Our walk on the landing brought us to Cantina Laredo. What a wonderful lunch. The food was fresh and original. Friend had a Casa Rita swirl and I had a Cantina Mule. My first cantina mule was a simple margarita. When I complained the waitress, without complaint, had a manager remake the drink and it was excellent. Salsa was delicious and the chips were super thin and crispy. Atmosphere was wonderful. I will definitely come back here on my next visit. read more
