Cancun
Shawn V.

This is one of the 'ole original restaurants on the landing and for good reasons: great location, great food, great prices and great patio! Their patio overlooks the famous White River/Lake Taneycomo and the "million" dollar fountain at Branson Landing. But, if it is off season the place is huge inside with plenty of seating. I ordered the Cancun dish that had a crispy taco, beef enchilada and chicken burrito (i believe). It was a big dish of food served with rice and beans. Really good! Fun place to go with groups of friends and they make fresh guacamole at the table if interested. We sat at the bar tonight and she took really good care of us.

This place continues to be ok....and solid enough for Branson anyway. Here's what I thought of their latest efforts: - Guac: Ok...but not great by any means. Lacks seasoning of the avocados. A big ample portion however. - Queso: uhm....don't get. Rotel and Velveeta is far better than this stuff. - Fajitas (beef): a good portion size....and they're ok. But this dish again, lacks a good solid seasoning and flavor base. - Chips & Salsa: This wasn't too bad...both the chip or the salsa. Salsa is thinner...but good overall flavor it had. Now, you factor in what things cost here....and it isn't a great value by any means. Decent atmosphere Cantina Laredo has. Service can be hit and miss. But, to be fair....I'm usually going at their busiest/most popular days.

Cantina Laredo has a slightly fancier feel to it when you first walk in while still remaining comfortable. This restaurant has a relaxed feel and our server provided excellent customer service. After ordering our meals, salsa and chips were delivered to the table, with each one of us getting our own personal bowl. The salsa was very flavorful while the chips were perfectly crunchy. My daughter and I both ordered the Cancun and we loved it! My husband ordered the lunch combination fajitas and he said they were delicious. He commented that he had never had skirt steak that was so tender as they were here. My son ordered a bowl with rice, black beans, chicken, and cheese sauce and he devoured it. Overall, I would highly recommend this location as the food, service, and ambiance were spot on.

Cancun special.

Excellent! The chips are thin and crispy and the salsa has a nice level of spice. They got us right in. And our food came almost immediately. The service was super quick and really friendly. I got the Cancun special and whatever the brown sauce is (mole?) On top of beef enchilada that is serious money!! Sooo good. The tacos were really crunchy. Portions were great. And it was a good price It was under 50 bucks for two people. It's in a nice area where there's lots of things to see and do lots of shopping It walks along the riverfront. There are plenty of options to eat. This was a tasty choice I would definitely go back.

I'm a big fan of outdoor dining and Cantina Laredo did not disappoint. Our group of 31 from our church in Alabama dined at the restaurant after seeing the play Queen Ester at the Sight and Sound Theater in Branson. We had reservations so the tables were all set including chips, salsa and water. The wait staff quickly took our orders. While waiting for our meal, a beautiful Fire and Water show started just off the outdoor dining area deck. What an awesome experience while dining on the Lake Taneycomo!! My husband and I enjoyed an order of chicken fajitas which were delicious. Sorry, I forgot to get a picture of our meal. Thank you Cantina Laredo for a wonderful evening and great customer service.

Beef Enchiladas with Black Beans and rice

Great service and food! I ordered the beef Enchiladas. The meat was seasoned (so many in Branson aren't) and the quality was better as it was Ground Sirloin, so less grease. My Husband had the Fajitas combo and said the lunch portion was perfect. We started with the queso quacamole combo. Shout out to Juan Pablo he took good care of us! Highly recommend this place. Great views of Lake Taney como too. We will be back. :)

We've been wanting to try this place for a while. It has a great view of Lake Taneycomo and we always see people out on the deck enjoying some yummy looking drinks. After being seated it took a full 20 min for our waiter to show up and then he didn't come back for our order for another 20 minutes. By this time we're really getting hungry and wondering why it's taking so long. We get our food and it's not good at all. The taste was off in my soup and my husbands tacos. How do you mess up a taco? They also gave me a dirty spoon and I had to wait so long for another one my soup was cold by the time that arrived. We will NOT be back. I'd give it a zero star if possible. Bathrooms were dirty and service was horrible. We almost walked out after 1.5 hours after asking repeatedly for our check. Find something else this place is 2 thumbs down for us! One good thing was the salsa was delicious!!!

Amazing, fast service! Really good, fresh food and drinks! Beautiful view right by the fountain on the patio. Good prices and kid friendly!

We wanted to eat on a patio along the riverfront at the Landing, and decided Cantina Laredo would be the best option. While it's a bit pricey compared to other Mexican restaurants, the food was all excellent and flavorful. We especially enjoyed the queso dip. Our server was attentive and constantly checking on us, which was appreciated! The patio atmosphere was nice, even if the restaurant's decor is a bit bland. We'll definitely eat here again when we're in the Landing.

Not impressed. Should have known the further north the more Mexican food lacks flavor. Maybe because it's on the river.

10/10. Tl;dr. Excellent choice. You gotta try it…read more We're from San Antonio, so we're spoiled by options for great Mexican food. I was skeptical about a Mexican restaurant on the outskirts of Branson, Missouri, but we were pleased to find this hidden gem. If this restaurant was in San Antonio it would be on my short list of top choices, at least based on the one experience. We all agreed it exceded expectations and if we're ever back in Branson, we'll return. The parking lot was empty when we arrived, not a good sign, but it was 2:00pm on a weekday, in the off season (early May with temps in the upper 50's) so we decided to chance it. We walked in and were the only customers there. Everything only got better from there We received a healthy servings of chips with a small carafe of salsa, so no need to ask for refills. We ordered an appetizer of guacamole. It was on point. We repeatedly remarked how fresh and tasty everything was. My wife had a mango margarita. It came with plenty of mango flavor, including some fresh mango chunks. I had the ground beef chili relleno with a side order of cactus (nopales). I've had many disappointing chili rellenos, but this one was perfect. The ground beef was well seasoned and not to dry or too sloppy like you sometimes get. Is was very lightly breaded, so if you really like a lot of batter, that might be a negative for you. It was served "open-faced ", sliced open so the ground beef, topped with plenty of cheese, was on top of, not really stuffed inside the poblano chili, but it was awesome. The cactus strips had been stewed with onion, tomato and jalapeños, so it was almost like a spicy warm salsa, or if you've ever had spicy green beans cooked with tomato and jalapeño, it was kinda like that - really good. My wife had enchiladas with a side of fried ripe plantains (maduros) and our grown son had tacos. Again, everything was great. The server was attentive and food service was quick (to be fair, we were the only customers). This is a small place They have a patio but it was chilly so we sat inside. There were only 5-6 booths and 4-5 tables but the decor was nice. They played mostly mexican pop music ( incl. Selena - Bailey Este Cumbia) with some American pop - a nice mix. I almost never post to Yelp. I had to recover my password to post this, cuz its been years, but I didn't want to let this pass without giving these folks credit.

We finally got our menus and decided to get a margarita. We just wanted regular margaritas--no flame necessary. He asked us what size. We thought okay we said medium. We noticed on the menu it said +13. But because there was no base price listed we assumed it was $13 each. Keep in mind we never said we wanted a flaming margarita. Our waiter never explained pricing. The margaritas came out flaming. We then thought I guess that's all they have. $13 was a bit pricy but we thought okay. But then we got the bill we found out they were $28 each!!!!!! WTF!!! My husband who never goes without tipping still tipped. I would not have. Thus for 2 margaritas--(one I could not even finish--we were never told how bit they were) and some chips and salsa costed us $82.08. So basically this joint stole from us. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! IT'S REDICULOUS!!!!!!
