This is a must-stop place if you're looking for good Mexican food while in Branson. I've been here three different times and have always had great food. The salsa is so unique and has a rich, smoky chipotle flavor. The guacamole is made table-side so that's always a fun touch. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend this spot if you're shopping at the Landing! read more

Amazing atmosphere for a weekend dinner. I brought the family here and sat out back on their patio that overlooks the water. It was a perfect setting to see and hear the 9pm water show at the fountains. The wait staff was friendly. The food was awesome (I got the queso for an app and the shrimp tacos for dinner). I will be back for sure. read more

What a gem. Location is awesome. Service is incredible. Jesse was one of the best Servers we have ever had. Fun, informative and simply nice. He gave us a heads up that at noon they play the National Anthem. What a treat on Memorial Day sitting with my retired Air Force Captain. We shared the steak and chicken fajitas with the bacon wrapped shrimp. Too die for!!! I had the Chili Cucumber Rita, yes another too die for!!!! read more

Found this little gem on google maps. And omg. We added this place to our favorites for when we come back to town. SOOO GOOD!!! Someone else had a pic of this stuffed pepper and that literally was the one dish that made me want to go there lol. And guess what I ordered, the same dish. Lol. And it was exactly how it looked on the other persons plate. And it was SO good! Stuffed with shrimp, and flavor and etc. it was a total of 2.5 meals for me. My fiancé ordered the veggie enchiladas and added chicken. They had mushrooms and spinach in it. The black beans and the lime rice was delicious. And for our dessert, we were totally talked into getting this mango cake thing. No idea. But it was SOOOO good. It's not made there, it's shipped in, BUT it was regardless very very good. It didn't taste like it was shipped in, cause it was so soft and moist, not dry at all. The mango sauce stuff that they drizzle on top, however, they DO make that in house. DELICIOUS!! read more

Great service, friendly and prompt. Poblano Asada dinner was very good! The hot salsa just right. Outside dining was comfortable at 53 degrees with overhead heaters. read more

Not impressed. Should have known the further north the more Mexican food lacks flavor. Maybe because it's on the river.

I got a steak fajita burrito and it was really good. The steak was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of fat in it to give it good flavor. I'd definitely get it again if I were to go back. read more

Outstanding and authentic Mexican food. The service was very personal.... We enjoyed Cafe Laredo so much (including a great wait staff) we went there twice during our five day stay in Branson Missouri. We had no complaints about their margaritas either. . read more

Came for happy hour and it was only available at the bar...give me break. The bar only has about 3 seats. The Queso Laredo was very good, but it couldn't overcome my irritation. read more

Very happening place. Good Mexican food especially guacamole. It is very fresh because they make it for u at the table when you order it. The chicken/beef fajitas are amazing. The meat and vegetables are all fresh. Customer service is good for being a busy tourist downtown Branson. I give it a 4* because of the rice, not as great as I expected. I think it could be better for the price you pay. Little over priced for Mexican place. When you GPS, it's a little hard to find it, park at shops near bass area and walk to it. It's easier that way. read more

As Mexican food snobs from Southern California we didn't have high hopes. But man were we so surprised. I had the carnitas and it was falling off the bone amazing!! All of their sauces were so flavorful. My husband had tacos and really liked the spicy salsa they brought him. And we both liked the margaritas. Service was really great and they were great with me being gluten free, I have celiac. Also for Mexican roasted corn it was decent, not amazing but decent. We ate twice while in town for 5 nights. read more

The food was absolutely fantastic. The ambiance with the fountains in the background was great.

THE SCENE SEVEN hours in a compact car traveling from Dallas Texas on back country roads that fluxuated in speed limits from 65 mph to 30 often was exhausting! Speed trap you say? ... yep! The fuzz was almost always inches from the posted reduction in speed just waiting for the opportunity to make a weary travelers day. But not me Coppers! I made it all the way to Branson without getting busted for my occasionally heavy lead foot. Tired and hungry, we didn't want any part of being in that cramped rental car any longer and decided to stretch our legs in Branson Landing... which was only minutes from our resort. What a gorgeous outdoor shopping mall, very similar to The Avenue malls around Atlanta. No one in my crew knew exactly what they were in the mood for, but as soon as we spotted a Mexican restaurant we all agreed succinctly. ---------- - - - - - - - - - - THE DETAILS Date & Time: Friday, July 13th, 2012 @ 9:00pm Dining Companions: wife and children What to expect: Posh upscale interior lots of hostesses to greet you Decor: modern Service: Sydney was great Liquid: water Ordered: Steak & shrimp ($23.99), Spinach enchilada ($11.79), Kids quesadilla ($8.79) & chicken fingers ($5.79) Dislikes: NONE Total: $55.38 ---------- - - - - - - - - - - THE EXPERIENCE It was our first hour ever in Branson, Mo and we were too hungry to care about anything other than sitting down for a meal. That's when we happened on Cantina Laredo. We immediately knew from the interior decor this was an upscale restaurant, but before we could discuss it we were being whisked away by one of the hostesses to a cozy booth nearby. The prices had me considering walking out before our water and chips arrived in favor of something cheaper. After all, the kids would have been happy with Taco Bell or McDonald's. Then, a nearby table received their entrees and suddenly I needed to taste the glorious steak that my eyes had just witnessed and my nose had confirmed would be my next meal. THE FOOD... ...was delicious, probably the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. Then again, I've never paid close to $25 for any single dish in any Mexican restaurant anywhere, so it had better have been good! I highly recommend a visit here if you are in Branson. Be sure to order the ASADA Y CAMARONES... it's very, very good. The wife and kids also enjoyed their meals very much and we all gave high praise to the manager on duty for the efforts of our server Sydney! TIPS Something else we saw while enjoying our meal was something the menu described as a MEXICAN BROWNIE w/pecans on a sizzling skillet with Mexican Brandy Butter and vanilla or cinnamon ice cream. It looked absolutely incredible and planned to come back for a second visit during our stay. However, there were so many choices for food in Branson that we never returned. Please try it for me if you come here and tell me if it was everything I dreamed it would be :-) Try the patio for dinner were you can watch the fountain show that happens every half hour or so. THE VERDICT Cantina Laredo is a great place to dine and I'm excited to discover they are a chain. We look forward to finding one on our next vacation. read more

The chips and salsa and queso were very good, which is a requirement in My opinion for any good Mexican restaurant. Our meals were good for the price. Service was prompt and friendly. I'd go again. read more

Three stars isn't bad! It's average! The chips and salsa were great with the salsa a little on the salty side. The tableside guacamole was good but was the money worth the one avocado they put in there with some queso fresco and pinches of onion, tomato, and peppers? I don't think so. My mother and father's meals looked great and full of food. But based on my barbacoa tacos, the price was not worth it. One of the three tacos had mostly fat. They were good, but not worth what we paid. It took a little while for the bartender to make one of our drinks, and it wasn't during a prime hour. This isn't bad but it added to. The drink was GREAT though. read more

- wonderful views to the landing. Head out to the patio at the top of the hour for the fountain show. - Guacamole is made at the table it tastes great. - drinks are well made. Very strong, but still nice. - food is well presented and tastes great. - overhead music is a bit too loud and the serving staff is a bit slow, but got everything correct. That said, everyone is friendly! read more

We usually love Cantina Laredo in other locations but this one was not our best experience. The food was not great and the wait time was outrageous. I think staffing shortages are the real problem right now. Would give them another chance in maybe a year. read more

Used to be a favorite spot, but I won't be back again. The entire menu now consists of the same five ingredients lumped into slightly different shapes. Waited almost 2 hours for something I could have made myself with items from a gas station. No thank you. read more

Food is most definitely delicious. Absolutely no complaints there. Bartender seemed to need more training, she was super sweet but not very knowledgeable about the menu or the bar. I did not see a manager at any point in time, or anyone who seemed to be in any type of supervisory position. The food quality is what has saved this restaurant. My friend and I had ahi tuna tacos, queso laredo, and flatbread de bestik also a pomagranate froaen margrita and a Cantina Mojito. Unfortunately the Mojito was horrible, as a former bartender it was easy to spot the 2 day old browning lime wedges and mint leaves. I only had about 3 sips of the Mojito, and pushed it away. Overall I would give it a 2nd chance only because the food was excellent. read more

I was looking for a good dessert place in Branson and the only places opened was Wal Mart bakery and this place. We went here and asked our waiter what was the most popular dish and he said !! So we went ahead and ordered that plus a brownie, to our surprise they literally made it in front of us. Very cool experience and the apple pie was the most yummiest delicious tastiest bestest pie I've ever eaten! It's definitely a must order/try/eat/repeat item! read more

Food was great and there was a lovely view with a light & water show! But the best part of our visit was the outstanding service we got from our extraordinary waiter Jesse! So if you go...and you really should...ask for the main man Jesse! read more

Service was great. Food was sub par. Tortilla chips were stale. Margarita was mediocre. The rice tasted like it had been cooked a week prior. It just wasn't the quality of food we expect at a high end Mexican restaurant. Even the kiddos Mac and cheese was lumpy and sad. The food just didn't taste like it was made to order. More like it was prepped at 1 pm and sat under a heat lamp for hours. Could be to the punch Covid has taken in so many restaurants, but I hope they get the food quality back up. We usually love visiting here! read more

The location is a bigger draw than the food. Sitting outside and watching the light show was great! The food, while good, should have been great for what you pay. Still, you need to go for the show and view of the river. read more

Cantina Laredo - Great dinner with a wonderfully different salsa, little sweet, little smokey and this tasty Acapulco platter - Mexican Near Me - Branson, Missouri

Great location and view. We sat on the patio and loved enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery. We started our dinner with margaritas and queso dip. The queso dip was good and the margaritas were so-so; they tasted a little watered down. For our entrees we ordered the Mahi Mahi fish tacos and shrimp stuffed chicken. The tacos were fine, not the best fish tacos I've ever had and not the worst. The shrimp stuffed chicken was flavorful and nice sized portion. Our server wasn't real friendly. My first impression was that she seemed unhappy and I almost felt like my requests were met with annoyance. Not horrible service, just not amazing or anything to rave about. This is definitely a fine place to dine to enjoy the view of the river and the beautiful weather. read more

We went here based on the recommendation of a local that I work win. Oh my gosh this place is amazing. The staff was delightful. Very helpful in defining what is good to eat and explaining the menu. They bring you multiple bowls of chips and a bowl of salsa for each person at the table. And they keep it coming. The salsa is amazing. We also got the guacamole that is prepared table side. Delicious. I had the Carne Asada and it was probably the best Carne Asada I have ever had. It normally comes with a chimichuri sauce but the waiter recommended the chipotle wine sauce they put on the Carnitas. He said it was amazing on the steak. And it was. Absolutely delicious. Amazing flavor profile. The only downside was I didn't think the margarita I had was all that terrific. I've had better. But that's it. Everything else was phenomenal. read more

Lovely atmosphere and location. Certainly much swankier than your typical Mexican joint. Food was really good. Giving 5 stars because it was a bit overpriced. Carne asada was delic. Margaritas were good too, but served in a pint glass. $13 margarita in a pint glass is a little disappointing. Great service and good kid's meals. read more

The food was good like it usually is. One thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars this time is we asked if they would make Flautas, although it's not on the menu, they used to make things like this if asked. Waiter said he didn't think so and never even asked. We have definitely had better service in the past, but like I said the food was good. read more
