Stopped in for a first visit. Said we would have about a 45min wait. We decided to visit the bar while we waited. Bartender was super friendly and made us a couple Knob Creek and cokes. Great pours. My dad and I came here for lunch around 1pm on a Saturday and it was busy outside because the weather was good. We sat outside and had a view of the river and a somewhat okay view of the water/fire show that was probably every hour. Our hostess and waitress were nice and friendly. The outside area were all covered, but it was still hot in some areas because of the patio cover absorbed the sun's heat which was very warm/hot beneath it. I decided to order something different and went with an all-vegetarian dish. It was the Enchiladas de Espinaca ($11.99) and I was debating whether to order that or something with chicken in it. I believe my dad ordered the Relleno de Camarones ($16.49). The complementary chips and salsa were good. The hot salsa was a little spicy and some wouldn't like it, but I thought it was better than the normal salsa. I must have had spicy salsa still left on my tongue as I couldn't taste the normal salsa unless that was how it was supposed to be. The food came out quickly and the presentation of the dish looked good to me. I liked the mushroom in it as well as the spinach. The sour cream poblano sauce added to the flavor and I thought it complemented everything else. I tried some of my dad's Relleno de Camarones and it was tasty. The portion was right for one person and I wasn't really full after finishing everything. I ate some more chips and salsa to fill me up some. The ambience was nice but the service and food quality were lacking. Though it was not a busy time it took a long time to be served and then not of the best flavor, didn't seem fresh and lacked the popping flavors of lime and cilantro you might expect. To top it off, because we were a larger group we were charged the tip automatically but then also again when we ran the credit card. When we brought it to their attention, they said they would remove it and we were given a receipt for the lower amount. The location is great and the outdoor seating if available is well worth it for the view of the fountains and river. I have ate here on 2 occasions and each time the food was amazing. The Carne asada fajita burrito was perfectly done. We were here the first week of June 2021. Most of the restaurants on the landing were short staffed and had wait times over an hour on Monday and Tuesday night. We walked in around 6 and were seated immediately, on the patio just as we had asked and hoped to be. Staff were great and the waitresses were very accommodating. We ordered somewhat off the menu for our picky eating daughter and they treated it as though we asked for no sour cream on nachos. There was one employee however who I think may have been the manager who just did not look like he wanted to be there at all and gave a vibe off that you did not want to even say hi to him. Two years ago, my husband and I came to Branson for our anniversary and ate here while we watched the light show. I don't remember what we had, but the food must have been good because this weekend when we brought our kids, it was the place we knew we wanted to eat. We sat on the patio Sunday evening (they allow pets on the patio! Our dogs loved it.) with our three small children. I had the VeraCruz enchiladas, which were DELICIOUS, my kids had cheese quesadilla (huge!) and beef taco. But my husband has the carne asada. IT WAS THE MOST DELICIOUS THING I HAVE EVER HAD. So delicious, in fact, that last night, we took our kids and our dogs AGAIN and ordered three carne asadas: the kids split one and my husband and I each got one. The salsa is fire-roasted yumminess. The service is very friendly. The bathroom is clean. And every hour on the hour in the evening is a water/light show you can watch from the outdoor seating area. On a busy night, service is slow, which is expected. It's not because of inattentive servers, but because EVERYONE wants to eat there, so be kind to your servers and hostesses. They're working HARD! My husband and I went on a last minute "date night" during our Branson week. We wanted a nice dinner out without a big fancy reservation kind of place. Cantina Laredo was wonderful! It is on the pricier side but the drinks are creative and the food is delicious, not to mention the beautiful patio overlooking the river and the fountain show, so I think the price was justified. I got the Enchiladas Veracruz because I wanted something healthier and lighter and they were perfect. Lots of veggies, not a lot of cheese or creamy sauce. Very light for Mexican food. My husband got a Carne Asada burrito with a delicious cheese sauce and he loved his meal as well. Lots of delicious steak and the burrito was enough for another meal the next day.
