Review Ah yes, a tapas restaurant. Doing tapas is an…read moreexcuse for an incompetent kitchen. More on this below. We are seated, get water, order food and drinks. Within 5 minutes the first entrée arrives, 10 minutes before the drinks. One person has food; everyone else watches uncomfortably. Finally drinks arrive. Then the wait begins. Like the opening scene from "Casablanca" - "they wait, .... and wait,...and wait." Dishes arrive, one at a time, sporadically. They say the dishes arrive when they are ready. So here's an idea: organize the kitchen so that the food for a table is all ready at the same time. You know, like restaurants do. Maybe it works if everything is " for the table." Speaking of the tables: a table for four is too wide by 6 to 10 inches. Your dining companions are so far away that you cannot hear them - unless you shout, which may explain why the place is so loud you can't hear anyone at your table. To add to the raucous ambiance, our table was situated in front of the doors the wait staff used to access the outdoor dining. By "in front of," I mean maybe a foot or 14" from the back of the chairs to the door. Close enough that the waiters are squeezing between your chairs and the doors. All in all, a mediocre experience. To be fair, the food is very good, which is why it gets 3 stars. Except for the crispy calamari which was probably good when it was hot.

We shared the seafood paella; they make it to order so i was able to ask for no octopus and mussels, and have more shrimp and fish. It was outstanding and so were our cocktails. This is a new favorite restaurant for me. A note of warning: this is an expensive restaurant... the bill for 2 of us was $200, but that is with four $15 cocktails. My apologies... i was too distracted to remember to take photos, but I do plan to return and will do better next time.

Popular menu items include birria tacos, octopus, shrimp ceviche, and steak chimichurri. My daughter and I visited here for her birthday, and we both love Latin cuisine. As we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats immediately. It was a chilly day, and the restaurant felt cold inside as well. The staff tried to warm things up with space heaters, but they didn't quite do the trick. We ordered empanadas, birria tacos, hanger steak, and sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco. When the dishes arrived, they were lukewarm--a bit disappointing, considering how cold it was outside. The birria tacos were delicious, though again, they could have been hotter. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, but I would have liked it a bit crisper. The hanger steak was tender, and the Pico de Gallo was bursting with flavor, pairing perfectly with the steak. It was nicely seasoned and had a good-sized portion. The empanadas were tasty, with flavorful and plentiful meat. The plantains were extremely delicious. The crema and queso fresco helped bring the whole dish together beautifully. The customer service was friendly, but the food could have been hotter; still, the flavors and seasonings were spot-on.
