Lychee lemonade with butterfly pea flower - A breakfast sandwich featuring scrambled eggs and bacon is placed on a piece of parchment paper on a wooden table. The sandwich is made with a croissant and contains scrambled eggs and bacon. Behind the sandwich, there is a clear plastic cup filled with a purple-colored drink, likely a flavored beverage or lemonade. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment.

Every "local" seems to know this spot. A nice place to sit and chat for awhile with both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and then choose where you want to sit. They have a lot of fun seasonal drinks for coffee and non-coffee lovers alike. The croissant was fresh and flaky on my bacon egg and cheese that I ordered. They have so many options worth checking out! There was a line when I walked in, but the woman at the register was a pro. She helped the line move quickly and had a very positive vibe.

Breakfast Omelette - The image shows a breakfast plate with an omelet topped with diced tomatoes, crispy bacon strips, roasted potato chunks, and a side of toast in a paper tray. A small cup of guacamole is placed behind the plate. The meal is served on a wooden table, with some torn paper napkins visible in the background.

I used to drive by this place all the time curious how it was. Well I'm very glad I decided to stop in one day. This is officially my new favorite breakfast spot. Best bacon egg and cheese I've ever had. The avocado toast is great. I also enjoyed my omelette. I cut it in half and made a sandwich with the sour dough bread and avocado. It was phenomenal. I love the music played there too, it creates a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. There was so many people in there yet it was still quiet; I could hear the music clearly. It made for a very enjoyable place for a breakfast date. There's outdoor seating and major perk that it's next to the bike trail. A great place to walk after eating.

On my way! itch home fries - The image shows a black plastic plate containing fried potato chunks, tofu cubes, and scrambled eggs topped with diced tomatoes. The plate is placed on a wooden table, with part of a white cup visible in the background. The food appears freshly prepared, with the potatoes and tofu having a golden-brown exterior, and the scrambled eggs are yellow with tomato garnish.

My wife and I love trying new breakfast places and Funcle's is special. The maple sausage is killer and the coffee is a great compliment. The star, because of all the place around the state we have been to, is the home fries. They are huge and delicious and we've never seen home fries done this way anywhere else. Great job!!!

Funcles Cafe is getting neater and prettier - A tall artificial tree wrapped in beige material is decorated with clusters of blue and pink flowers, positioned in the center of a cafe. The cafe features wooden tables and black chairs, with a counter area in the background. The ceiling has recessed lighting, and the overall decor is casual and inviting.

Delicious food and very friendly people. They added a lot new decorations in the store. It's neat and pretty. Love it!

Where to start with this place. We arrived and almost turned away due to the line out the door. But we held n and it went pretty quick. It was so worth the wait. This place is the neighborhood staple serving breakfast n lunch. The food is on point, I had the breakfast burrito. My wife had an egg omelet with home fries on the side. The ambiance is casual get out of bed and roll in casual. The service was great and the staff had smiles and made u feel at home....absolutely recommend this place for some good grub..Deliciousness!!!

The owner is absolutely incredible -- talented, dedicated, and genuinely one of the most hardworking people in this industry. She opened her café during COVID at a young age and built it from the ground up through pure passion, grit, and love for her community. That alone deserves recognition. The selection is always thoughtful and creative, and the specials are phenomenal. She makes all her syrups by hand and sources gluten-free items in-house, which takes so much time and intention but shows how deeply she cares about quality and inclusivity. You can taste the effort in every single drink. Crossroads is a place built on heart, and the coffee community is extremely proud of her. She does not get enough credit for everything she's accomplished and everything she continues to pour into her space. If you want to support a café run by a genuine human being who truly loves what she does, this is the place. Highly recommended -- not just for the coffee, but for the person behind it.

Recently obsessed with this local coffee joint. Been spending the week in North Haven checking out…read moresome spots. Super cozy place, eco friendly with some of the best coffee/matcha. Friendly service at the counter, few tables inside to lounge at. My wife and I frequent the Last Drop in Monroe and this is ultra comparable. Very good pricing and kudos to them for using and making homemade syrups! I am a matcha guy so I get an iced matcha latte with vanilla cream cold brew. My wife has had the special Cherry Cold Brew which sells out quick and some lattes with cinnamon brown sugar, fantastic. I vow to get there early enough one of these days to try their blueberry muffins, always sells out quick. They have a host of other pastries as well, you are missing out if you don't try this place.

We stopped into Bread & Chocolate shortly after noon on a Sunday knowing they were closing in under…read morean hour. Most of their baked goods were sold out, which totally made sense because it was nearly closing time and the items that remained looked delicious. So we were sure that whatever had been sold before was more of the same. I ordered a hot latte and the kiddo ordered a raspberry tea. We also decided to order toasted sandwiches (grilled vegetables for me and grilled cheese for her) to enjoy in the shop. Enjoy we did! The latte was served with a foam smiley face. The espresso was strong and delicious and tempered nicely by the milk. Her tea was piping hot and fruity. The sandwiches were toasted but not blazing hot, for which we were thankful because we were very hungry. They also weren't greasy - an issue I have with other toasted sandwiches. As a side note - why do sandwich shops slather sandwiches in oil or butter when a simple iron sandwich press and a hot grill will suffice? Anyway, our sandwiches were great! They were filling but didn't leave us feeling lethargic (please refer back to the not greasy comment.) We were so happy to have a good meal and a seat after a long tour around the Quinnipiac campus. Bussing one's table is expected and the staff kept the tables spic and span in between patrons. Speaking of the staff, the young man who took our order and was servicing the dining area was kind and patient as we ordered. We made sure to leave fifteen minutes before closing because we didn't want to be THOSE people, namely the couple in the corner who'd setup their computer shop and looked to have no intention of leaving without a fight. We will definitely return to Bread & Chocolate if we find ourselves in the area again.

This place was extremely disappointing…read more I've had their bread at local restaurants and always thought it was excellent, which is what motivated me to visit in person. Over the past few months, I tried stopping by three separate times, twice they were already closed, and once they had completely sold out of bread. I finally made it there on a Sunday morning, and they had only one loaf left, and not a type I wanted. We decided to order two egg and cheese sandwiches (one with turkey bacon). Both were terrible. The rolls were soft, soggy, wet, and flavorless. Each sandwich had a single egg placed off-center, so half the roll barely had any egg at all. The turkey bacon was so bad we removed it and threw it out. Normally, I would have just moved on and not returned. But what really pushed me to write this review (which I never write) was the carrot cake we purchased. We took it home, refrigerated it, and tried it later that evening. It was, without question, the worst piece of carrot cake I've ever had. The frosting was hard, dry, stale, and completely lacking flavor, no sweetness at all. The cake itself was equally bad: dry, crumbly, and utterly tasteless. There was no hint of carrot, cinnamon, nutmeg, or any spice, just bland, dry crumbs. The cake was completely lacking sugar. After two bites, we threw it in the garbage. I don't say this lightly. I've been cooking and baking for decades, hold a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, and spent over 20 years in the industry. I've traveled extensively and eaten outstanding food around the world. For me, someone who genuinely loves desserts, to throw cake away (which is rare) says everything. I understand it was a Sunday and that fresh baking may not be happening that day, but it's simply not acceptable to sell baked goods from prior days that are clearly stale. Even more concerning than the staleness however, was the complete lack of flavor in the product. The sandwiches were disappointing, but that cake was on another level. I won't be returning for sandwiches or desserts, but perhaps the bread.
