Had a resy here for their tasting menu and got seated with a great view of the CN tower. This place is def a great date night spot with pretty intimate ambience. For the tasting menu items we shared: Salmon tartare (5/5): fish was really fresh and the sauce was a refreshing touch French onion soup (5/5): not your typical French onion soup, tasted quite elevated. The soup wasn't as thick as the typical way to make it but was packed with umami. Wanted more after each bite! Moose (4/5): cooked perfectly medium rare, the meat itself was splendid and the mash was a great addition. The sauce however was a bit overly salty Duck leg (5/5): basically fall apart, skin was nice and crisp and meat was super juicy. Didn't need a knife to cut it at all Dark chocolate (3/5): a bit too sweet for my taste for being dark chocolate Berry tart (3.5): also a bit too sweet but the fruitiness made it less rich and more refreshing palette cleansing after the other courses.

TLDR: come for the views, stay for dessert Pros: - views! It has a nice view of the TO skyline and waterfront, and is also cozy inside. - food - genuinely the best quality in all of the restaurants we tried in TO. Their vegetarian risotto was splendid and desserts were immaculate. - good drinks too. Cons: - Service: a tad bit slow and their very stringent about their coursing policy (i.e. finish dessert then we will fire mains or vice versa) which is unnecessarily restrictive. It's not a prix-fixe menu or one developed in a way where one course determines the rest. We told them we were hungry and jet lagged and this policy combined w the slow roll out really tainted an almost perfect dining experience.

It was nice, it was ok... Pretty much what we expected. My husband and I said let's do this place instead of the CN Tower. We had reservations for the bar at 8:45 pm and to our left were three children with their parents and then another couple behind them with two children. Not really what we were expecting. Anyway, we were able to move to the bar and then eventually to the counter looking out to the city, We did enjoy martinis and old fashions and the raw bar tray.

Easily the best dining experience I've had in Toronto in my recent memory. Every part of it was elevated and proved to me why Canoe is so talked about in the Toronto culinary scene. We opted for the Summerlicious menu for a more affordable first visit. It is not as affordable as it once was, at $75 for a three course dinner, but in my opinion more than worth the price. For starters, we tried the salmon tartare and onion soup. Both were good. The entrees were amazing - both the Alberta Beef and King Cole Duck Leg blew me away. The portions are generous and they do not skimp for the Summerlicious menu. I highly recommend both dishes and I'm not sure which one I'd choose if I came back. Finally, the service and atmosphere were top notch as you'd expect from one of Toronto's best restaurants. Most of our 5 o'clock seating was seated at the window-side restaurants, giving a breathtaking dining experience.

Summerlicious at Canoe Restaurant is back. Located on the 54th Floor TD Bank Tower and part O & B, Canoe once again taking part of the Summerlicious after being MIA for a few years. So glad to see Canoe back for Licious as it wasn't the same without them Reservations can only be made online on OpenTable this year. When booking online, need to make sure to select the Summerlicious Prix Fixe in order for it be counted as the Summerlicious Prix Fixe. I kept checking every day and finally was able to score a spot online for dinner. The fine dining experience at Canoe never disappoint. I was lucky enough to score a window seat and the view was breathtaking As for the food, I would said the mains were the strongest, with the duck confit cooked to perfection while the beef just melted in my mouth, being so tender. The lime posset tart had the right balance of tartiness and sweetness. Canoe also added a personal touch to my table when they realised it was my birthday. I really enjoyed celebrating my later birthday at Canoe check out to see where I go next "camerafirst" #canoerestaurant #summerlicious #summerlicioustoronto #summerlicious2025 #liciousto #licioustoronto #gta #6ix #torontofoodie #musteat #torontotoeat #tasteto #torontoeats #toronto #torontoigers #torontoinfluencer #torontodeal #foodieexplprertribe #foodieinternationalchat #finedining #tdtower #54thfloor #camerafirst

Canoe's ambiance and views are simply spectacular. Went at sunset for cocktails and appetizers. Good service. Great burrata-one of the best I have ever tasted. Reserved bar seating which faced window overlooking the city.

Lived up to the hype. Hosted a business dinner and it was perfect. Fantastic view and excellent service. Food equaled the surroundings. The asparagus and coddled egg starter, recommended by the waitress, was both quite unique and very tasty. The albacore tuna was perfectly seared and a plentiful portion. Great menu, can't wait to try other items.

I came here for a team dinner with a party of 8, it was mostly good! I enjoyed every course, particularly the chicken wing and the petit fours at the end. The veal course was just alright and the carrot dessert's filling was a bit too sour for me though. Also not sure if the restaurant was really busy but there was quite a wait in between courses (like 20-30+ mins). They gave us a lot of free bread though.

The view was glorious. Everything else, not so much. This is such a highly rated (and expensive) restaurant that I couldn't help but be disappointed by the somewhat mediocre food. We came here for a business lunch and were seated in a private room overlooking the CN Tower and Lake Ontario: a wonderful first impression and we were delighted to be able to dine with such spectacular scenery in front of us. However, it started going downhill from there. We ordered from a set menu and were not impressed by the appearance of the appetizers. The "vine-ripened tomato" literally comprised a few pieces of cherry tomatoes with some random ingredients thrown on that contributed absolutely zero to the flavour - I could've been eating just raw tomatoes, and not even very fresh ones at that. The "romaine" was a plain Caesar salad, nothing special at all. The steak tartare received some positive feedback, but the portion was tiny. The main courses offered a bit more appeal - my halibut was tender and cooked to perfection, but the tartar sauce was seasoned on the bland side. Dessert was fairly standard, but quite possibly I was disenchanted and bored of the whole thing by then. Service was prompt and professional as expected at these upscale places, but our waiter did give an unexpected little speech about the reason behind the rising prices at restaurants (all their suppliers increasing prices, very low margins, etc.). I was actually inclined to agree until I saw my tomato appetizer being served. I'm sad as I remember this place used to do much better. Suffice it to say that I will not be back anytime soon.

Fantastic experience . Food was so good with the wine pairing. Great views. Service was attentive. Can't wait to visit again

"Decent food overshadowed by rude and bare minimum service quality" I came here for valentine's day tasting menu. This is $250 each. I actually had a bad experience with this place two years ago being rude to my parents and not respecting our time and space (and I spent another $600+ back then for tasting), but decided to give one more shot and now am certain I am never coming back. 1. Food is alright. vday tasting and regular tasting are fairly similar and in overall we had great time with food. Often salty and three desserts were maybe too much but it's ok They were experimental, interesting, tasted good. Things like Tarragon icecream, beef fillet, etc, I think the kitchen did a great job. Just heads up, you come here for experience and to show your guest that you care about him/her/them. The food is 'interesting' and nice, but it's not like this is amazing and you come here for food kind of greatness given it will be significant spending. So set expectation not too high if you're here for food. 2. Service - main reason I'm not coming back. As it's 8 course meal, people who served changed consistently (which is fine), but they put bare minimum effort to explain what the dish exactly is. Like...the servers just put bare minimum effort to explain what it is and just say 'this is A.' often just putting down the plate and leaves without any words. I think I had better service and commitment to explaining these basic food at a local bar. This depends on a server though I think because I overheard other server and she was doing a great job and we guessed what we're eating based on overhearing the other table. The worst part is we saw our main server maybe a few short times during entire 2.5hr, not initiating conversations, just putting bare minimum effort putting things down. Then I was shoved a bill without me asking at the end during important conversations. That's ok because it does happen for restos with packed schedule, but when I tipped, probably the person didn't like the amount, as soon as I paid, he ripped the bill paper, slapped/slammed it on the table, said 'we need this table' then just turns around, walks away without any words, feeling negativity from him. Not sure if he was expecting 30% but regardless this is unacceptable at anywhere especially upscale restaurant. Imagine this is treatment you get for paying $600. Food was decent but these inconsistent service and rude staff is something I didn't expect, foolishly came back for the second time. I'm never coming back.

We had such an incredible time during my first visit to Canoe! The restaurant not only offers the best view in Downtown Toronto, and the ambiance was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend going there with someone you love. We decided to try the Taste Canoe menu, every dish was beyond fantastic. The presentation was top-notch, and the flavors were incredibly tasty. If I had to choose a favorite, it would definitely be the Onion + Caviar. The chef used real onions, and it was simply amazing. You have to try it! Make sure to make a reservation in advance and request a window seat. It's the perfect spot to celebrate any occasion. Complimentary Parking after 5:30PM

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!

They were surprisingly meaty, and tasted decent. They would probably make a good sharing item for the table as they were quite salty. Now, if this were a taqueria, I would not be impressed with the tacos. So if you are expecting "proper" tacos, don't order them. Go to a taqueria, lol. But this is a corporate chain pub in a city, whose main goal is to make a large swathe of people happy. So within this context, I think they did a good job. The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! I grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered a drink, and listened to a podcast to wind down. It was exactly what I needed. The drink, Nutty Times, was not only delicious but the presentation was exciting too. The bartender was witty, he advised everyone near us at the bar to whip out our phones, because he was about to put on a show. Check out the video I added!
