Chourico pizza

Visited for the first time last night and really liked everything about Canned Heat. This brewery is spacious, and warmly decorated with a variety of seating options - bar stools, booths, tables, and comfortable couches. We opted for bar seats and our order was quickly taken by Rebecca, who was am amazing server. She gave us just enough time to look over the large beer menu, and we were really happy with our choices of a the pumpkin beer and an IPA. We ordered the bar pizzas and they were some of the best I've ever had - crust was nice and thin, toppings were generous, and the cheese went nearly all the way to the edge. While we waited for our order, we munched on the free popcorn, which was a real treat! We will definitely be back - the atmosphere was amazing, service was great, and the food was delicious. The prices were very reasonable as well - my pint of pumpkin beer was $7, and pizzas start at $10 with additional toppings for $2 each. Would love to try the wing specials on Wednesdays, and would love to come in the summer for the outdoor seating.

We stopped by Canned Heat specifically to check out their entry in the RI Food Fights' 'Lord of the Pies' competition, and we were thoroughly impressed by both the atmosphere and the offerings! From the moment we walked in, the space felt spacious and inviting, which makes it a really comfortable spot to hang out. Even better than the setting was the service--our staff/bartender was super friendly and incredibly attentive throughout our visit. Great service definitely elevates the experience. For the main event, the Bar Pie type pizza was fantastic! We added pepperoni (highly recommend), and the crust and flavor were spot on. It totally lived up to the hype we heard about their pizza. To wash it down, the House of Horrors Double IPA was great and hit the spot perfectly. Canned Heat clearly excels in both the kitchen and the brew house. If you're in Fall River looking for delicious beer, friendly staff, and surprisingly fantastic pizza, Canned Heat is a must-visit.

Back again for the Best Pizza around. Wings are great also / when they have them. Wish they had something other than beer, I would visit more often Sound is very loud with a band playing, bring ear plugs. Seating inside and outside. Gets hot inside, no AC Bartenders are great. Beer selection is good, if you like beer.

This place has a great industrial brewery atmosphere! The beer is fantastic as well. The best part is the food. They have a FANTASTIC bar pie. Top 10 of all time! The staff is friendly and attentive. I would've included pictures of the bar pie, but I ate it too fast!

Wow!!! The craft beer line up is unbelievably good, along with a house made fruity seltzer on tap for the non beer drinkers. Went tonight to try their highly talked about bar pizza & I'll promise you, it is The BEST bar pizza in the area!! Thin, crispy & laced crust that is to die for! Jason, the beertender working on Tuesday evenings is excellent & completely knowledgeable of all they have to offer. Bonus deal on Tuesday's it is Industry Night! Free pizza with the purchase of beverage to all Restaurant Industry Workers!! Check this place out for great service, drinks, food & entertainment!!

Bar special pizza and the Kolsch

This is such a cute hidden gem weirdly placed in a shipyard (?) but not too hard to get to. I can't believe how few places lack comfortable seating, but I was able to lounge on a couch in here and it felt like they wanted me to stay and hang out. There's also a corner of little arcade games to play, and it's dog friendly. The beer I had was great, recommended to me by the most pleasant bartender. I also had the pizza which was good but nothing to write home about. Overall great vibe and I will return

What a fun unique place. Housed near a marina it is a great place to grab a craft beer and pub style food. The pizza's and appetizers are very good and there are a bunch of beer options. The brewery has a large variety of beers to try that goes well with food. The staff is great, the atmosphere is great and all of the entertainment and special events are excellent. If you want a fun place to go this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Checked this space out for the first time and loved it! They had tickets from the Big Lebrewski for the month of March, and such a good find. There was live music, the bartender cracked us up and was so friendly. the beer was great!!!!

I've tried Canned Heat beer a few times and I love the taste of everything I've tried. The ambiance is so relaxed and fun, I've been there on nights with bands playing and it's very enjoyable! The service has always been met with kindness and fun. I can't wait to go back there soon!

Sorry Canned Heat, we tried to visit on a Saturday afternoon just after 12 noon and you weren't open! Your hours on Yelp say you open at 12 (and that's what I looked at), and your hours on FB say 1 pm. We'll give you another try next time we visit Fall River!

Great beer and atmosphere

The name of the brewery is a reference to the historical name of Fall River. Although originally founded under the name "Fall River" in 1803, the town changed its name to "Troy" the following year and eventually changed it back in 1834. Carvalho started a home brewing club in Fall River in 2006. In 2017, Troy City brewing was founded as a home brewing entity when Carvalho joined forces with Ferreira. Eventually they would move in at a historic textile mill and opened their taproom to the public a year later. Together with nearby Canned Heat Craft Brewing, Troy City Brewery brings the brewing industry back to Fall River for the first time since 1963. My wife and I first visited Troy Cory in October 2019. We were in town for the day to visit the home of Fall River's most infamous citizen: Lizzie Borden!! After visiting some spooky sites around town, we decided to check out Fall River's local craft brewery scene. When we arrived, they were having a Halloween costume party in the taproom (which was totally fine with us). I ended up sampling four beers: the Rail Trail Cranberry Lager, the TCB Test IPA, Maplecroft (Maple Syrup Porter), and Gage Hill (Toasted Marshmallow Chocolate Porter). The last one was my favorite and it came with a cinnamon-sugar rimmed glass. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our visit to Troy City. If you're planning on visiting any spooky Lizzie Borden sites in Fall River this Halloween season, make sure to visit Troy City Brewing.

The last time I…read moregot a sour slushie beer in the summertime, and it was sweeter than other similar drinks I've had at other places - I loved it. These didn't seem available this time, so I ordered their Untapped-award-winning Peanut Butter & Jelly Sour - WHOAAAA! So delicious, and smelled and tasted exactly like the name, not a watered down faint whisper of peanut butter as many similar drinks have. I could see it being a little too sweet if you had more than two of these, but I loved it and wouldn't shut up about it, leading multiple friends to order one. This was unique and a must try, well worth its awards. My friend ordered a Bacon Maple beer that also smelled exactly like its name, but as a vegetarian I declined a sip since I wasn't sure if it had any real bacon in it. It was slammed and busy here, but our wait time at the bar wasn't too bad considering. The beertenders were pretty quick and friendly. Someone was throwing a birthday party and had a band playing, yet they were still open to the public. The acoustics in here are a little bizarre and echo-ey, so the band was unbearably loud. Luckily there were picnic tables and high top tables outside and it wasn't too chilly, so we headed out there. They brought out a few heat lamps which helped my friends that weren't dressed for the weather, and added a nice cozy atmosphere without any bonfire smoke smell. This would be a great area to hang for the fall! They had a food truck available which is always a great feature (Kroffle Kreations - I will review separately soon). There is a small parking lot that's been full every time I've come, but since it's in a far out industrial park area of town, people park on the sides of the road with seemingly no issues. Great little spot and very creative beers, with lots of events hosted! I'm looking forward to branching out into some of their other and darker styles of beer in the future.

The interior is nice and bright with a decent-sized bar and lots of tables. They had an excellent selection of beers, ales, and stouts. I generally stay away from this kind of place because they are IPA-heavy, and I am not an IPA fan. I had a couple of glasses of this fantastic stout and a great Scottish Ale. My wife had a peanut butter Porter that was yummy. The servers behind the bar were great. They also had a food truck that offered salads and sandwiches. My understanding is that they have a variety of food trucks that rotate through. We had an excellent time listening to music, being with friends, and having some great beverages. I would give this place a try.

We do try to make a reservation for brunch, as I know there's usually a wait. I will say that the decor in the tipsy is one of its biggest drawers. Whoever is decorating, definitely knows what they're doing! The fireplace at the center of the restaurant is always tastefully decorated for the season. I absolutely love it! I had quite a few other $20 lobster rolls specials this summer. The amount of lobster that they give you for $20, and being able to pick your side is one of the best deals around. Not to mention the quality of the food for the $20. My Caesar salad was absolutely delicious too! The other picture I posted is one of my favorite salads that they used to make with the goat cheese "arancini". I really do miss that side, so hopefully they'll bring a back one day. If you like thick clam chowder, this is it. For meals we opted to split the honey, hot chicken sandwich and a buffalo chicken pizza. Not gonna lie, the bowl of chowder was pretty big, and I was pretty full by the time I was done with it. The honey hot chicken sandwich is more like a honey mustard chicken. It was still pretty good, but if you are expecting hot honey, this is not it. I opted to have the blue cheese on the side with the pizza, because my husband doesn't like blue cheese. The buffalo chicken pizza was actually really delicious. It was like a bar pizza that you would get from the south shore. You really can't find this pizza in Rhode Island or in Southern MA, so this was a great find. Staff were friendly and attentive. I didn't get any alcoholic drinks cause it was pretty early and not much of a day drinker, but it had a really good vibe and I'm sure it's a lot of fun at night. The drink menu looked really good so I'll likely come back for drinks and apps. There's a cute outdoor seating area. It was pretty hot so we sat inside, but I'm sure this is a great place to sit at night time once the sun goes down and it cools off.

This appetizer was very fresh and exceptionally good. Beet Salad ($15): Whipped goat cheese, roasted beets, blood orange, toasted pistachios, pickled red onion, arugula, EVOO, and balsamic glaze. My wife loved this salad--it was packed with fresh flavors and textures. Lobster Truffle Grilled Cheese ($32): Made with Gruyère cheese, fresh-picked lobster meat, truffle oil, and toasted sourdough. While it tasted good, the truffle flavor was very light, and there wasn't as much lobster as I would expect for a $32 price tag. Ultimately, it was good, but not really worth the price. The Drinks: We also grabbed a four-beer flight, which came on a fun whale-tail paddle with a handy menu card: 1. Raz Sour 2. Blueberry Ale 3. Capsized IPA 4. Colonial Ale Overall, a fun spot with great starters and a cool flight setup. I'd definitely go back for the scallops and drinks, though I might skip the lobster grilled cheese next time.
