I use this place all the time for alterations. I am on 5'1" so every thing has to be altered and she does a great job and quick too.

Best place ever for alterations - the lead lady converts slacks and shorts for me to petites and always suggests the least expensive way which is good because you don't have to sacrifice pocket space - have seen men in there having suits altered, brides and bridesmaids and prom goers - male and female - more than one dressing room and the employees have on masks and hand sanitizer - great parking because it's in the Food Lion parking lot - very $$ reasonable read more

Cam's is a moderately large shop in a storefront. There are at least 3 proper sized changing areas, and a line of mirrors along the left wall. It's open on Saturday to 5, and until 7 on weekdays which is convenient. The waiting area is tidy and nicely painted. I simply had two shirts adjusted. Cam only pinned me for one arm on one shirt - but I assumed she was experienced enough to mirror the rest of the work, and she did. She returned my garments within a week and for a few dollars less than Tina's (which also has many good reviews on Yelp.) Stitching was rugged and the fit was good. I found a few other colored threads from the sewing room on my items to brush off. Not a big deal. read more

I decided to give Cam's Alterations a try. I needed a zipper replaced in a pair of 3/4 length pants. Cam's told me they did not have the color zipper I needed and to purchase one and bring it to them, which I did. I was given a price of $13 and a date to pick up (2 weeks later from drop off). The date arrived and I called to make sure it was ready. I was told that it would be the next day. When I arrived, I was charged $14 and it was a day later than I was told, which was very disappointing, especially for a first time customer of the shop. There was no explanation given and no apology. I will not likely return but will continue to use Anna's Alterations in the future. read more

I have been using Cam for about 16 years for anything and everything! I started with her when she was with another alteration business and stayed with her when she went out on her own! She has done everything for me from hem a pair of pants, to make costume dresses for me for dance when I was younger, to alter a bridesmaid dress from a size 22 to a size 2 to fit like perfection! She is fast, inexpensive, and one of the sweetest women you will ever meet! read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I took two lace dresses to Cam's to just have a ribbon put on under the bust. I even provided the ribbon. She charged me $40 for this, which I already thought was pricey, but I was under a time crunch. It took her 5 days to do this, and one of the dresses was for my sister's wedding on Friday. When I picked up, the ribbon didn't seem attached very well. I asked to try on the dress, which before fit perfectly. When I tried it on it was very tight, and was difficult to zip up. I asked the employee's to help me zip it up, she then proceeded to struggle with the zipper, and have to call a friend over. They were finally able to zip it up but the dress was very tight right under the bust (where the ribbon was placed). The employee then laughed at me and said "Wow. You need to lose weight!" I awkwardly laughed thinking, okay, that's insensitive, but maybe I have gained weight since I tried it on. I went to my sisters wedding in one of the dresses, and 2 people had to zip it up, and it was tight and uncomfortable. The next day I had to wear the other dress for engagement photos. My fiance could not zip the dress, and realized that the ribbon was pulling the fabric because it was sewn so tightly next to the zipper. I decided to cut the ribbon off, and the dress fit easily. Even a little loose under the bust. Putting a ribbon on a dress, should be something very easily done, but they either waited to the last minute or just didn't care. They also kept the rest of my ribbon (I gave them an entire spool - two of them because each dress had a different color ribbon with it). The lack of professionalism and courtesy by telling me I have to lose weight while laughing...absolutely ridiculous. I will never go back there, and I hope other people don't have to face the same humiliation and insensitivity I did, especially when the dress didn't fit BECAUSE OF THEIR OWN FAULT! read more

Fantastic job on 48 year old, real leather, real fur, coat! I mean the lining was shot to hell the collar, couple of buttons missing, etc. but they nailed it!!!! My mom repaired it for me for my birthday as it was originally hers, but i fell in love with it and took it from her years ago. It took her 2 years to even find someone willing to do it, and at a reasonable cost.. GREAT JOB!!! read more
