Worst experience ever, stay away!!! Where do I start.. My Dad went in to purchase a travel trailer, put $1000 down for a deposit on a trailer already in stock. He unexpectedly had emergency surgery the next day and was unable to follow through with the purchase for a short time. 2 weeks passed and Sierra RV pressured him into making another $1000 deposit. He was unable to follow through with the purchase due to medical complications. The finance manager agreed to refund half the deposit which never happened. (Keep in mind he never took delivery, this was not a special order unit) When I called to speak with management, they were rude and basically said it was their right to keep the money due to a purchase contract. Contract aside, this is poor business practice and the complete opposite of the mission statement on their website. "Building lasting relationships with our partners and employees while serving the recreational and travel community. Our core values shall be based on Honesty and Integrity and Service to the Community." There is no integrity or honesty in this malicious transaction. At this point, my Dad is out $2000 for nothing, he did nothing wrong and was penalized by Sierra RV financially. I would recommend spending your hard earned money elsewhere! read more

I have rented an RV from Sierra RV in Reno, Nevada for 8 consecutive Summers. The staff have always been very helpful and accommodating. My most recent rental (last week) involved the refrigerator not functioning at all. Sierra RV sent a repair technician to my location (90 minutes away) to fix it. I consider this to be excellent customer service, which I can say isn't always the case with other companies. It should be noted, the address is 9125 S. Virginia St (not NW). read more

They said the owner told them to cancel any appointments for service on anything not purchased from Sierra RV. Their customer service is horrible and they don't give a flip about you once they get the sale finalized. They will not help you, they don't care how inconvenienced you are, they have no compassion for their customers that bought in good faith. I wish we had bought a Forest River, but because we had an older Keystone Cougar, that was a good one, we trusted Keystone 36 foot Montana would be a good bet. But, obviously, their quality is not what it used to be. You can see every tooth in their head what with all the smiles and good humor. Once you put the check into their hand, then it is get this guy hooked up to his truck as fast as you can and point him to the street exit. Didn't even get a hand shake or a thank you. We decided to by a new motorhome, we traded in our old one,after findi ng one my wife liked. Brand new and it had some things that need to be fixed, after three weeks the repairs were half assed repaired. We took off on a six week trip, were only gone for two. Came. Back with two pages of repairs, broken water lines, broken drain lines, doors falling off,and the list keep going. After months of nothing being done my wife called the manufacturer and found out they have never order the repair parts. The coach never got fixed right and more problems came up, the service department sucks they really don't care about customer service, they only care about making the sale and filling there pockets. By the way we got rid of the motorhome. This is no place to buy anything!!! Your better off staying in a motel then wasting your money here. read more

My experience with the sales staff was great, however after the purchase, customer service fails. Here is the "VIP" treatment I received. Firstly, it takes over a month to even get an appointment. Once my appointment finally arrived, it took over 6 hours to complete warranty repairs that I was told over the phone would be very quick fixes ("maybe an hour or two"), which is why I decided to wait instead of drop the coach off for my appointment. After 5 frustrating hours of waiting, I asked to speak to the service manager who was immediately rude, unsympathetic and unprofessional. He refused to inform me as to what had been completed on the coach (probably because he knew very little had been accomplished), and refused to get the owner for me since I was not happy with his handling of my situation. After getting the owner's daughter involved, it still took an hour longer. Seven hours to do an hour or two of work. A past experience with this service department was also unsatisfactory. I believe the service department employees at Sierra RV "Super" Center are overworked and over-scheduled. This place is under staffed and management is poor. I will take my business elsewhere so that I never have to be treated so poorly again. Shameful and definitely not "Super!" If I could rate zero stars I would. I encourage others who have similar experiences to make a formal complaint to the maker of their RV in order to bring attention to the owner that this behavior and poor customer service is just not acceptable. read more

I bought a 2017 Toy hauler in March and the buying experience went very well. I had a list of repairs that were needed when I bought the trailer. They assured me the repairs would be taken care of by the service department. I dropped the trailer off to be worked on. After two weeks they informed me every thing was getting done and the trailer would be ready for pick up. When I picked up the trailer I was so angry I didn't even speak to them. They had left me with more problems than I had dropped it off with and the work that had been done looked like it was done by a three year old. read more

With this being my first winter in the Reno cold, and the first year with my motorhome, I didn't think of winterizing it until it was already frozen solid. That was not a smart move. I called Sierra RV and spoke with Margo. 3 separate times over the phone Margo helped me figure out how to thaw tanks, fix broken plumbing and winterize the RV. She went out of her way to help me, and up to that time, I was not even a customer of Sierra RV. That experience has sold me on Sierra RV. They had no problem taking our money. Paid cash for our 32' Jayco. We needed it pretty quick so they didn't have much time to clean it or fix any issues but we were OK with that and understood. When we got to our location to camp we realized that they never installed the extra battery that we were promised but now that the trailer is in Utah we had to drive our car back to Reno for other reasons and thought we could just come pick it up from them, well not so fast. First they asked me questions I being a new rv owner did not know the answers so he the finance manager started to treat me rudely due to my ignorance and lack of knowledge. I simply told him they failed to install the second battery no big deal just give us the battery and we will have it installed out in Utah. He went got the service manager and they came back with some paper saying they have 2 volt meter results proving they installed the battery. Then they told me someone must have stole it. The trailer was never out of my site after I bought to the point I noticed the second battery never got installed. You would think that the service department would be cable to verify inventory and see that they are one battery over. Just sucks to pay cash over 20k and they can't help you with a 100$ battery. To top it off was the rudeness when you needed help I've met nicer people at the rv park who want nothing from me. They were all so nice while we gave the money. read more

We brought our RV in to quickly check out a window blind that needed to be rewound since we had a trip planned the next day and the blind wouldn't open over the dinette. They fixed it on the spot without an appointment (not a super easy fix either) and didn't even charge us. Was super impressed with their customer service especially in their peak busy season. RV Super Center and Service in Reno rocks!!! We bought our Jayco Jayflight new from them and have run up against some issues, all covered under warranty, but none the less a hassle. I visited Sierra RV Service Department to obtain help connecting a new power supply cord to my RV. Misty in the Service Department was very helpful - she spoke to one of her mechanical technicians, who immediately assisted me with my project. The technician attached (crimped) some electrical ring terminals to my power supply cable so I could connect the new cable to my cord reel. The job was highly professional, with heat-shrink insulation applied to each cable/terminal. I am highly impressed with the level of service provided by both Misty and the service technician. Misty was wonderful. I will definitely shop here for all my RV needs. read more

I have never been so frustrated trying to spend a fairly large amount of money in my entire life. We wanted levelers put on our 2010 Thor 31R motor home so we made an appointment a month ahead of time and gave them a grand for them to order the correct parts. Time came for our appointment - Saturday - they called Friday and said the appointment was for that day. We'd made if for Saturday so we wouldn't have to take off work. The person I talked to was rude as hell but we took it in on Friday as they demanded. Then they had it for a whole week and when we were supposed to pick it up, literally the day we were scheduled to pick it up - they said "oh well we can't do the job - they sent us the wrong levelers - another guy said "you can't put levelers on that anyway" . Fine. Camping World says we can. Done with "shopping local" Total waste of our time and energy. Totally unprofessional operation. AND to make it worse, we bought the motor home from them and this was "preferred customer service" Wow, I'd hate to see how they treat non-preferred customers. Just saying. There are other options and I'd advise anyone who can to look at other options, other RV Service centers. read more

We visited Sierra RV at the end of Sept 2014..looking to buy a trailer. We were very impressed with the service and information. We dealt with Dave and Dave for the purchase. We ended up coming back a couple of times before we bought. We met with Bryan in the finance department..even though we paid cash..but that was great as he finished the paperwork. Ryan did the walk through and that was awesome! Dave and Dave even presented us with a bottle of wine after our purchase. After about 6 months of ownership we decided to take the Jayco in for a few warranty repairs..made the appointment and from other reviews we thought we wouldn't have it back for awhile. We met with Margo (who was great too)..and took it in on a Thursday and the following Tuesday she called and it was all done! We were very impressed with Sierra RV and still are!! read more

Avoid their service department like the plague! Backstory - we purchased a new trailer out of state (we couldn't justify spending an extra $3000 just to buy local), then needed some warranty work done. The original out-of-state dealer said to just take it to the local authorized dealer (Sierra RV) and they will be able to take care of it. My husband called to ask about the part needed, they asked if we purchased the trailer there, he said no, they said they couldn't help him. He pushed back and mentioned that they were local authorized dealer for warranties, they said 'we'll call you back'. Two weeks later, no call was received, so he went in to ask about the part needed and the first question was 'did you buy it here'. When he said no, they said they can't help him. He raised a big fuss, said he'd call the manufacturer about their refusal to help and they finally begrudgingly agreed to order the part. The people there were extremely rude, discourteous and we will never recommend anyone going there for any reason. read more

My family and I purchased a trailer from Sierra RV and we were pleasantly surprised by the WHOLE experience. We told the salesman what we were looking for and our truck's limitations and he paired us with the PERFECT trailer! After the sale their Parts Department guided us through the Service Department and SOLD us on the accessories that made the RV more "kid friendly"--the EXACT information we needed. Just like everyone else, we felt that buying and RV is a big purchase that could have lasting consequences. In our dealings with Sierra RV we learned two things: 1) seeing an RV is better than viewing one online; and 2) choosing the right dealership is just as important as choosing the right RV. About a month ago, I met Scott and Craig at Sierra RV while trying to buy (2) used trailers. I agreed to buy these units based upon EVERYTHING WORKING PROPERLY and that they were 'all weather' units since they were to be used as rentals in a trailer park. I made it clear that I knew absolutely NOTHING about owning a trailer....so, I was depending upon them to look after my best interests. A few days ago, I had a tenant move into one of the units, I then find out there was a problem with the water heater, the furnace and a propane valve leak that could cause the place to blow up? I had asked both Scott and Craig to personally check out everything on both units to make sure they were 'ship shape' knowing they were to be rentals. In the second unit, once it was delivered I could see the Magic Chef stove was not working, so I bought and installed a new 'ignitor', then realized the gas lines and burners were all rusted out and would not work. I bought new parts for the stove from someone else and installed them myself. I had some other initial problems, like no propane in the tanks, etc. The General Manager, Gary, was a stand up guy and said to get them filled and he would get me a credit from their parts dept. for the cost of propane, but couldn't refund any money. In summary, since their title transfer paper work makes it very clear that the trailers are being bought 'AS IS', since Scott & Craig said they'd move to trailers over where there was power, to make sure everything was working, I thought they'd be delivered in proper working order....I felt I didn't have recourse in Small Claims court, so, I am in the process of making sure everything is safe and operable and it is costing me hundreds and hundreds to have the VERY reputable Mobile RV repairman, John Larson, fix everything. I should have paid him to check out these units before I bought them, since I now realize that I should not have trusted the salesmen when they said EVERYTHING is operating properly. My wife and I have been in the market for travel trailers and decided to stop here. When greeted, we thought they carried Grey Wolfs - which the salesman said they didn't carry that product but had a better product and I came to the better dealership. Not very professional to bash your competitor in such a way. He never asked me what was important to me, never asked me what kind of truck I had to tow it with, therefore was pulled all around their lot looking at wrong campers. By the time I asked for his card, he had asked me what my name was... For a 3rd time. He asked for my phone number so he could call me if he got something in that would suit my needs. He never even asked what my needs were. Very bad customer service and I would never buy from this place. They demonstrated that they didn't care at all. We went down the street to Sprads RV where we were well taken care of. We even met the manager who THANKED us for shopping there. We will NOT be buying from Sierra RV. IMPORTANT INFO IF YOU ARE PURCHASING AN RV FROM SIERRA RV! We have purchased two RV's from Sierra RV. The first one was used and the second one a new 2010, $86,000 vehicle. We take our RV in for annual service every spring and purchased the complete 5 year warranty plan. We make the appointment for this annual service a least a month in advance. Our appointment this year was for 9 a.m. today, May 21st. We have a 45 mile ride to get to this dealership. Our RV required only annual maintenance as there were no problems. When my husband arrived he was told that this maintenance would not occur today and probably not until next week because they had sold 10 RV's over this past weekend and prepping those RV's now comes first per the owners of Sierra RV. Therefore we could either make another appointment [with no guarantee that it would happen as promised] or just leave the RV and they would get to it when they could. So...new owners beware!!! If you buy from Sierra RV, the only promised service you will ever receive will be the one to prep your new vehicle. After that...apparently you will be on your own and at the mercy of this company. I doubt we will ever buy another RV from them and am looking for someone else to service the one we currently own. read more

Smooth talking finance manager, sold me a tow service and flat repair for $600, but lumped it together with a $2400 extended warranty that he never mentioned. I was so tired of his dumb jokes I just wanted to go and didn't notice until later. He got very upset when I wanted to do walk through before handing over check. Commented on check off sheet that trailer was dirty, never heard Anything about making that right , they charge for that as dealer prep fees. In a recent visit they (including management) were rude and disrespectful and I would be concerned if you purchase an RV from this company and are going to be using them to service it. The rv we bought was nice looking but when we tried to camp in it the slide wouldn't work. There goes the Memorial weekend. It took the 2 weeks and we had to haul it to them. The next time was worse, Things not working, lights falling out of the ceiling. Montanas are nice looking but cheaply made. The AC didn't begin to cool things down so the 4th of July we suffered. When we called them their service was lousy and said you saw what you were buying. I even called Keystone to complain...same attitude.
