Was very honest in his inspections and pricing.While there,I mentioned my slide out was not sealing correctly. He retimed it for me. We've used American Mobile RV on several occasion and the service has always been excellent. Most recently, our hot water heater sprung a leak (which also took out the furnace main circuit board which was placed below the dripping water heater - another winning Jayco design decision). Matt repaired the cracked water heater connection, flushed the heater and got it back into service - and then went to work on the furnace. He was able to diagnose the problem on site - pull the unit for repair and testing at his shop and re-install the next day. In the past, he has helped us with plumbing (installing a bidet) and replaced a bad water pump. Very responsive to calls and txt messages. Reasonable rates. Strong recommend. read more

We damaged our AC unit getting gas. We drove into Reno on Sunday and called Matt on Monday morning. Their hours are 9-5 however, I called him at 7:30AM and he returned my call before 8. He came by to get a look at the situation at 11AM and gave us an estimate and when the AC would be fixed. It's in the mid 90s here right now BTW. He had us up and running with an improved AC unit by 2:30PM Tuesday and all for under 900.00. He was courteous, professional, early for scheduled appointments, and very knowledgeable. He came to our unit and did all repairs on site which means we did not have to find a hotel that takes 3 dogs while a shop had our home. A+ service and customer service as well. We've used Matt's services twice now, and have been very happy both times. We have a pretty rare camper, and several places in town have declined to work on it because it isn't a typical Jayco et al. Matt, however, has been willing to dive in, figure it out, and get it fixed quickly and affordably. In the process we've learned more about our camper, too--he's been happy to answer our questions as he works, which is a pretty rare trait. I was very impressed with the service I received from Matt. We bought an RV second hand recently and did not think about having it checked out by a professional or someone who has owned one. We had rented RVs in the past but we were not really knowledgeable about them. I called Matt because I couldn't get the water on. He came to my house and found that I needed a new pump. Within a week he got the pump and installed it. While he was testing the pump he found that the water heater was damaged beyond repair. He knew we were planning a trip, so he bypassed the heater for us so we could at least have water. Soon after, he got a heater for us and installed it quickly. He also gave us some tips and showed us how to operate some of the items on the RV. His prices are reasonable and appropriate!!! read more

I am a new rv owner, and unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the electrical, and gas systems. For the first year, I couldn't figure out how to run my fridge off of gas. Other rv shops had charged me expensive diagnostic fees, but never really helped me. Matt came to my house in Truckee one afternoon while I was at work. Not only did he hook me up on short notice, but he was able to explain, and test out my rig. Turns out that everything was fine. I used yelp to find a RV repair person near Genoa, NV. We are on an extended vacation and needed a water heater switch and our awning looked at. I called Matt while we were in San Francisco and asked if he could help us when we got into town. I emailed photos and booked our appointment 7 days in advance ON HIS SCHEDULE! We made it very easy for him and assured him that we had insurance that would cover all expenses. HE NEVER SHOWED UP! He called to say that he was on his way over to where we were were to stop- 5 hours earlier than our arrival time! This was on a Sat. afternoon and so he said he would be there Monday- never showed up! I texted him AGAIN & CALLED - he said he would be there Wed. at 4:30 - guess what - NEVER SHOWED UP!!! We have an older, used rv. I am a retired teacher and have a friend who is also retired. The old rv lets us take affordable trips. We had an odd problem with the rv, the lights were flashing. American Mobile RV came out not once, but 3 times to make sure the problem was corrected. There was no charge the last time for parts or service. He 'made it right' and stood by his word.
