These folks are fantastic. Family run business that takes the intimidation out of RV ownership and repair. They take the time to work with you and make sure you're comfortable with every step. They are more than fairly priced and go out of their way to ensure the work is done well. Excellent place, one of a kind. 2024 Update: Danny and Samantha have since taken over the business from the parents, and I can say the service and reliability has only somehow gotten better. They are kind, attentive, fair, and honest. Even if I moved out of the area, this is the only place I will ever take an RV. Great service and exceptionally knowledgeable family owned business. I love this place!! I started coming here because it's a small business and I like to support small businesses. But I found the most knowledgeable people work here! Now I'm loyal to DJ's because of the exceptional service I get here. THAT, is PRICELESS! I sold my motor home which I had just gotten customized to a fine tuned high end machine because I decided I wanted a towable I can detach to go 4 wheeling. I searched for months and specifically bought a lightweight double axle travel trailer with "good bones" and found it had been badly maintained - worse than I originally thought. I knew I was stripping it and customizing it but it was so different than the previous RV and had new issues I hadn't seen before, I needed advice. Jeeze, what a jerk! Told me he had $100,000 units in the back, and didn't care about my EVO.I paid cash, so I probably have more invested than they do. All because I asked, not demanded, to see his work area. I'm a retired master auto mechanic, so a clean, organized work area is important to me, but I understand "No." Just as I was making an appointment, he charged out of the back and had another tantrum about it. In 50 years of employment in the auto business, I have never worked with, or for, an ass, that knew what he was doing. They use tantrums to hide their lack of ability. I would never let a tantrum thrower work on anything of mine, ever! read more

Passing through town I arranged in advance to have my tear drop camper winterized. DJ's RV Center's customer service was accommodating to my limited timeframe, was willing to use an air compressor to blow out the water lines as requested in lieu of antifreeze, and did a great job! I would highly recommend them whether local or passing through! read more

Upon picking up my trailer that was supposedly ready the main issue was not repaired the owner was argumentative with me making excuses that his worker did not check things when it was put out front for pick up and I come a distance to pick up this is over an hour drive had to leave it and come back and yet again the issue was not repaired and not ready for pick up!!!! And I was overcharged for the work, or lack there of, that was done! And again attitude and rudeness. Never will take my trailer here again! read more

The owner, Dan, is to be frank, a con man. He required a$ 500 deposit for a new awning to be replaced. He then quoted me a price in writing and when I went to pick up my trailer the price was jacked by over $400...for shipping he said. Never was this disclosed and I think it's against the law. We got into a huge shouting match about how dishonest he is and in not honoring his written quote. He had my trailer hostage so I was forced to pay it. I have NEVER had a business not honor their quote. This guy is a total crook. read more

I delayed getting my refrigerator fixed for months, all because I was afraid of the cost of the repair. If only I knew how pain-free the repair was going to be. I wouldn't feel so silly now. Dan fit in an appointment early today, and I first called in yesterday. Not only did he do a quick and easy fix to my igniter, he helped teach me what I can do for it in the future. My husband and I are on a much needed vacation when on our first day out we lost our water pressure. We stopped at DJ's for help. If only everything in life could be this quick and easy!! Traveling through Carson City on our way North, imminent rain forced us to repair the recent corner crunch on our Lance cabover camper (bad tree!). Yelp pointed us to DJ's and we're grateful to have found them. Within moments of walking in the door, Dan was climbing in the roof of the camper to assess the damage. He was professional and honest about the extent of the damage, which was minimal. No up-selling or drama. The costs were also minimal and how often to you encounter that?? He also changed a few vents for us while he was up there. We were in and out, good as new again (sort of) in about 20 minutes. read more

I drove by the other day on my way back from a camping trip and decided to bring my rv in to have my refrigerator fixed after it stopped cooling a day into our trip! The owner Dan greeted me when I came in and quickly assessed my problem and checked my trailer in. The next day I received a call from him saying it was fixed and it was just a minor propane issue and only cost me $60 dollars to fix. Jackie and her family went out of their ways to help me and were very nice to me, despite the fact that I obviously have no idea what I'm doing. I needed a quick overview of my RV's water system before heading out to Burning Man ( I could not get it to work). I called a few other paces but they were too busy. I called DJ's and was told to come on down. This is a family owned business. Jackie (mom) is at the counter and Daniel (Son) was eager to see what my issues were. I am an older gal with no maintenance knowledge... none! They were very attentive, listened to my issues and summarized my problems within minutes. While waiting mom, gave me a bottle of water. I was so surprised to find out that it was just a little thing. I even had them help me learn about the water heater and pump system, I was so comfortable I had them check out a few more things. They recommended a carbon monoxide test, I had him replace a broken tail light, checked a few other things like fans, the sewer levers, and the whole thing came to less than $80 dollars!!! I was so happy and felt like I was totally taken care of and not taken advantage of like some of the other places I have been to in the area. I WILL return and have them winterize my RV and be a customer in the future. Great service and prices read more

Absolutely would not recommend this place. We called ahead with an air conditioner problem. We're told that they could repair. A week later, we're told they can't fix that problem, but charged us $50 to "diagnose" the problem. Not a happy face!!! read more

We were traveling in our 5th wheel and discovered a leaky valve on our toilet. We knew we would be in Carson City for a day and we studied the reviews on the RV repair facilities. Hands down, DJ's RV Center received all great reviews. We set our appointment and drove by the day prior and met the owner. A really very nice gentleman. He was honest and said they usually do not do same day repairs but that his son would look at our repair and they would do their very best. And the best they did for us!! We drove in at 8:15 and by 8:35 it was all fixed and we were on our way. We so appreciated the personalized treatment and cannot thank DJ's enough for taking care of our issue. I called this morning to have my pulverized roof vent (due to hail) repaired, and by 9:30a I was driving out of their store with a new roof vent, my door latch fixed, and parts ordered for a couple things that have been bugging me that aren't working right on my Sundowner horse trailer. Dan called me right after I'd left that the parts had already been found, and that once they are in, I will bring my trailer back up to get it fixed. I'm so pleased. I've lived in Carson Valley for just short of 3 years and have really not yet found anyone offering great customer service in the RV repair industry.
