We stopped by and I went in and was immediately greeted by Derek at the front desk. I explained what was going on and he got up and went outside with me to investigate the issue. He pointed out a few things that were wrong with our set up (Factory installed) and made some suggestions. I purchased a breaker box per his suggestion and we went home. Upon speaking with the manufacturer they recommended a fix but since it was solar wiring I asked if they would cover the cost under warranty and they agreed. I contacted JD RV and made an appointment with them a week later. Got the trailer in to get it repaired. The let me know the cost and when it would be ready for pick up. They had it fixed sooner, let me know and we were done. They fixed the wiring issue and we are back on track with our solar system...

The "dealership" representing the show promised us that everything that we noticed on the day of the sale was covered under warranty. Well, here it is 3 years later, No warranty coverage for anything, no extended warranty coverage. Nothing. Decided to take it to JD RV. They Fixed EVERYTHING!!!! Yes, RVs are very expensive. This is just the way it is. But with that being said, they were MORE than fair, stayed in contact with us almost 3 to 4 times a week, and were finished in less than 3 weeks. They also did a complete walk through on our motorhome and showed us how to work everything!! This is the only place to take your RV in all of northern Nevada!!! Thank you all so much Jordan and Derek!

Well, driving our diesel pusher motorhome on our first leg of our journey from Acton to Bishop our…read moreAC went from cold to warm about 1/2 way through the desert. I smelled a slight odor similar to truck brakes that have been used too much down hill. I assumed everything was okay because no lights came on and no gauge indications had changed. The only thing different was it was very warm in the cabin. Our final destination was Idaho. We pulled in to Bishop and backed the Motorhome in our friends driveway then shut off the motor. AND THEN... Smoke came billowing from the back of the rig... OH CRAP was our only thought. After taking some fire prevention actions, the serpentine belt that turns pulleys for the alternator, water pump, and, yes, the AC, melted off and fell to the ground. That was Monday June 10, 2019. I spent Tuesday hunting down everyone in Bishop qualified and able to work on diesel engines and replace an AC compressor. That netted me ONE business, namely Britts Diesel. They have an excellent reputation in town, however, they could not fit me in for two weeks. I don't have two weeks of my life to just sit around waiting to get an AC compressor replaced. Britts Diesel said I would have to get my rig towed to them. Turns out the closest tow truck that can haul a 43' diesel pusher is in Gardnerville which is about 180 miles away. The cost was $300.00 an hour port to port. WOW!! So I called GUIDED TRUCK AND REPAIR in Gardnerville Nevada... This turned out to be the best call I have EVER made regarding ANY BUSINESS transaction... EVER!!! Kory basically dropped everything for us because he knew we were 100% stranded. He had two weeks worth of work in front of him also. However, he had pity on us because of our situation and because we live in our motorhome. We ended up having the motorhome towed all the way to Gardnerville and to GUIDED TRUCK AND REPAIR. This for same price as it would have cost for the tow truck to come from Gardnerville to get us, tow us only a few miles to Britts Diesel in Bishop, and then return to his home town of Gardnerville. Kory at GUIDED TRUCK AND REPAIR was so incredibly professional, so polite, so respectful, so accommodating, and every other compliment you can give a person in customer service. Kory was truly a blessing in many ways including an excellent mechanic. The rest of the details really don't matter for this Yelp review. However, for the "take away" of this real life experience, please know how much this customer truly appreciates Kory and the entire crew at GUIDED TRUCK AND REPAIR in Gardnerville Nevada. They are beyond amazing and professional and polite genuine GOOD PEOPLE!!!!! THANK YOU, Kory, April, and Becky!!! Thank you!!!

But we found Guided Truck on a web search and decided to give them a call. These people are amazing! Corey immediately took the time to search for the leak. At first we thought it was hydraulic, but since it wasn't leaking when we brought it to them, it was hard to identify where it was coming from. Corey did find a coolant leak, then a small hydronic leak. Later, Corey offered to come to our house and look at where it leaked on our garage floor. He confirmed the large leak was coolant. Corey ordered our parts, and set us up with another appointment. I can't say enough about everyone at this shop...From the owners, Paul and April, to Corey and the other mechanics. These folks are honest, reliable and reasonable. When we brought it in for the coolant leak repair, it was done quickly and we were able to pick up our motorhome later that day. While there, I asked them if they would bolt a hitch onto our Jeep, and they did that for us too. It is so rare to find a business like this. They've earned our trust. These guys are very impressive!!

However, the 2nd and 3rd time he was 2 hours late, always blaming having to take care of a child, traffic, weather, another job or what not. I mean over 2 hours or more. He really only wants to work only on big money projects. Not little things. He also wanted to work in the dark on my RV in the cold. I did not think that was a good idea, so after a couple more long waits and re-scheduled appts. I never heard from him again. The guy knows his stuff but is a little arrogant and puts little jobs on the back burners or wants to work late at night.

After countless calls to establishments in the area, Tor's vmail message set my expectations for communicating with him. The first thing he said after my explanation was "turn off the gas." The only person that considers safety over money. He clearly outlined availability, potential cause, and expected effort. He connected with my renter and even advised us when his ETA was impacted by traffic, while on the way (over an hour drive). His professionalism aided in my ability to provide golden service to my customer and probably saved their vacation. Although I was not present I was made aware of everything along the way through text messages after the initial phone call. As a courtesy he even pointed out an additional repair that would probably be necessary in the near future and suggested it was something I could do myself. I'm eternally grateful. If I lived in that area he would have earned my exclusive patronage. Sincerely!

They are one of the last" if not " the last family-owned recreational vehicle dealer in my area. I am sure this may hold true for most areas in our country. Owning a recreational vehicle is an investment. While enjoying that investment is a must, "arriving alive" is the top priority! Just when you think you are getting the hang of it you are sharply reminded how much you still do not know & how much still there is to learn. That is why having Jason and a dealer like Western Sky's a true good luck charm. We brought our tailer in to have my furnace serviced. While I was there it was brought to my attention my solar batteries were not installed correctly, as well as a short that was discovered causing the inverter charging system to shut off while charging. (Safety mechanism) To top this all of when my husband was hitching up Jason, because of his wealth of knowledge, and expert eyes noticed parts of our hitch had loosened (how did he notice?) by noticing our weight distribution bars showed signed of wear. Had Jason not caught this what could have happened on any future journey could have been catastrophic, and possibly the end to our travel trailer adventures! I am incredibly thankful to Western Sky's, and to Jason for showing us how to check our hitches integrity frequently & adding this to our safety check list. No adventure is worth having unless you arrive safely and ALIVE! Thank you again Western Sky's for having Jason there for all of us. Sincerely, Brick and Cindy Anderson P.S. We first met Chris while he was working on a renovation project in our neighborhood. Chris showed exceptional expertise and attention to detail from the very beginning. When he reviewed the specifications for our new light fixtures (already ordered but not delivered), he quickly identified that they wouldn't fit our sloped ceiling. Thanks to his sharp observation, we were able to stop the shipment immediately, saving us significant time, effort, and expense. Despite the busy holiday season, Chris scheduled our installation for December 20th, one of the last working days for many people. He and his team arrived right on time--7 a.m. sharp--and completed the job within the estimated time and budget. The quality of the work was outstanding, and his team was efficient, tidy, and respectful throughout. Before hiring Chris, we sought quotes from three other electricians. None of them identified the issue with our fixtures, and their quotes were either unreasonable or came with long delays. Chris stood out for his professionalism, honesty, and clear communication. We are very happy with the results and will undoubtedly turn to Chris for any future electrical needs. He is a true professional and a pleasure to work with. Helen & John Reno
