My canopy door has not been able to hold itself up recently. The lift supports have been slowly fading. I had planned to do this myself and attempted to do some research but found there were so many different makes, models and weight capacities out there. I could not locate a direct replacement from the information I could find on my existing ones. I decided to find a good canopy shop in the area and turned to Yelp. Well, I found one. Sierra Tops! We stopped by in the afternoon on a Saturday and they were not busy. After talking with them, they told us that it really slows down on Saturday afternoons, but they already replaced supports for about 4 canopies today. If you are going to visit, we would recommend Saturday afternoon. I wish we got his name but he was the son of the owner and he was awesome! As soon as we arrived, he greeted us and asked if we were being helped. We said no and he asked what we needed. I explained everything to him and showed him what was not working. I also showed him that we were having a little trouble with a window as well. He told us the price to replace the supports and I said go for it. Within minutes he replaced the supports and tightened up the window. The price was reasonable for what they did considering the time I had spent researching without coming up with a solution. Decided to use Sierra Tops based off of a recommendation of a friend and the fact that he was local to sparks. I was quoted a price for a bed cover and was informed that I would get $100 for the month of January. When we looked at the covers we were told that the quote did not cover the model I was looking at, as it was new, but that he would give the cover to us for the quoted price. Looking at the original quote, there was no mention of the $100 off, but once I asked about it, the discount was honored. The work was completed within an hour and a half. read more

My family has purchased three tops from this company. In doing my research, Sierra Tops was by far the best value. Though they may seem a bit more expensive than other dealers, this is misleading as all their tops come with various options (at other dealers) as standard equipment. Taking this into account, Sierra Tops is the best bang for the buck by far. Recently the third brake light on the shell did not work. I called, they got me in, diagnosed the problem, fixed it in all than less than 45 minutes. A fist bump later I was on my way. No charge, despite buying the top in the summer of 2020. These guys won't service what they sell. Had a minor issue with my Leer that I spent almost 3 grand on and they wanted to make it my problem. There is a Leer dealer in Carson that is very nice and was actually a bit cheaper but I wanted to "buy local" and not have to drive down to Carson if there was a problem. My presence for a simple window replacement was met with both employee's attitude towards me of being a big problem for them. I was in Gardnerville Nv this past week visiting a friend and taking two of my dogs to their vet appointments. I live in Weed Ca, which is about 4 hrs away from Sparks, Nv. I was looking for a camper shell for my Ram 1500 crew cab truck. I had previously checked with several dealers in N. Ca. and no one had one or carried any in stock. While visiting my friend in Gardnerville, I also called several dealers around this area and none of them had the camper shell I needed in stock. I then called Sierra Tops and the owner of the store told me he had one in stock. I told him, I was visiting from Ca. and was going home the next day. I asked him, if I came down within the hour could he put the shell on my truck today. The owner said, yes I can. He told me to bring my truck down and he would put it on my truck. When I got to the store, the owner pulled the truck out he was currently working on to put my shell on my truck. It took about 30-35 minutes to complete the paper work and installation. I cannot believe how fast and smooth the process was. The price was very fair and I am very happy with my new Leer top. The customer service here gets a 10 star rating from me. I would drive 4 hrs each way again to get the same product from these guys. A special thanks to the two young guys in the shop who put my shell on my truck. My husband and I purchased a Leer camper shell in July. Robert, customer service was great. We WERE happy with everything about our buying experience...FAST FORWARD... Have experienced rain, the windows leak. Took it back to be looked at, Robert was so RUDE to my husband. He denied selling it to him. Thank goodness he still had the invoice of the purchase which Robert demanded to see. Very reluctantly he told us to bring it in Wednesday. He would not give us a specific time. I had some broken pieces on my camper shell (totally my own fault) and I am to be heading on a cross country trip in two weeks. I started at a spot down the street that sent me to Sierra Tops, and I am SO glad. Camperman helped me with the two main problems I was having and fixed about three or four more things in the process! He was super friendly and never made me feel stupid about breaking pieces on my shell or not knowing what something was. I bought my shell from custom trucks. When the struts on the shell wore out custom trucks refused to sell me new struts. They sell new shells, but don't service them afterwards. So I came to Sierra Tops. By the time I finished paying for the new struts already installed! I was very happy. Then a year later the glass door on the shell got broken. I thought replacing it would be difficult with the COVID-19 problem we are experiencing. They got me a new door as fast as they could get one. They got it installed and did a good job doing it. Really like their prices and they have a lot in stock so you can physically look at what you are buying. Mind I tell you I called him earlier in the afternoon and he said he buys tops and sells on consignment as well he told me to bring it down and he will make an offer, I got there at 5:30 he took it off of my truck put it inside and proceeded to tell me That it wasn't even worth $1000 nor is he going to pay for it in cash or card but instead he hustled me into leaving it there for consignment only.
