I recently found myself in need of a battery after my car wouldn't start (and Tires Plus had recently told me it was bad). So I got it going and took it over to the Autozone on Prater Way. I had opted not to replace my battery before because it was expensive and my car was starting, so that's why I knew what I needed. Admittedly, as I've gotten older, I don't go to auto parts stores like I used to but my prior experience was that you go in, you buy what you need, and you figure it out. I had the good fortune of having Freddy at my cashier, aka Federrick W (I knew I would forget, so I took a picture ). He really went above and beyond coming out not only to sell me the new battery, but to offer to put it for me *and* clean the corrosion off the connectivity that apparently, Tires Plus had chosen not to do when they told me I needed a new one. It was about 98° out that day and of course I was parked in the lot, so it wasn't comfortable out but he took care of this *and* provided me with some good conversation while he did it. I don't get out very often because I take care of my mother with dementia, have my grandkids a lot, and just in general, tethered to home. I had that day to run errands, and I didn't want to waste that time. He also got me back on the road faster than I expected. I live closer to another Autozone, but I will go to this one in the future just because of this particular experience. Even the other employees I encountered were incredibly welcoming, and it made what could have been a pain in the ass a pleasant experience. This place has no personality. Customer service is nonexistent. You buy a battery from them, they "forget" to tell you about the warranty, but you know you bought it from them or one of their stores.. but then when you try to exchange the battery for a new one cuz the one you bought just 3 months prior was bad. They couldn't just show good customer service and exchange it anyway, at least not without a receipt. They just wanted to sell a new battery. So we just went elsewhere. Went in. Literally had the part I needed with all the numbers on it and the rep had to ask what it was and what it was for and what my make and model was only to tell me they don't carry it. I said you didn't look up the part number. You simply typed in the name. He said that's how it works. I said to look up the part number. I got it from AutoZone last time. He said sorry we don't. I went back and searched myself and wow. Found the part after 20 min. Save the time. Buy from Amazon. If these guys can't look beyond a basic search entry the company is doomed. read more

Jason is an absolute gem. He helped me and my friend with wipers and a brake light. He even came out to our cars and helped to install them and make sure everything worked. He was friendly and kind and was very patient. He was not at all judgmental or condescending about our lack of knowledge on cars. I would come back here solely for him. 10/10 read more

I came in with a a product I bought from there. A worker there looked at me and walked away. I looked around the corner to see him looking at his phone. He realized his coworker was already helping someone so he'd have to actually do some work. So he reluctantly did his job. I said I want to return something bc the product didn't fit. He said, "Do u have the receipt?" I said, " not on me, should I go get it or can you do the return without it?" He neglected to answer said nothing. & just handed me a store credit card. Wth? Whatever this guy really doesn't want to interact with the customers or do his job at all. So I went reluctantly to buy something that I didn't need bc he just elected to do the store credit option. I found a product and asked does this include the spray it says on the box is needed. He said, "I don't know." And walked away. So I opened it and saw it required buying a separate additional product. I asked him if they had it. He said, "I don't know." At that point I walked back to my car and came back with the receipt for my original purchase. Asked for the manager. She said we cant give you your $ back to your [person] CC bc we already issued a store credit. IF he had Told Me he was going to give me a store credit in the 1st place I would've gone and got the receipt! but he wouldn't talk! The battery I was requesting was not available in any of the stores so Raymond made sure to find a adequate replacement. I was glad I got him to assist me as he was very kind and helpful, not only with me but with everyone who walked in! Avoid AutoZone at Praeter Way Sparks. The people there are a bunch of LIARS I bought a car battery for my car and then i asked them if they do free installation, they said yes. So i bought a new car battery but when it's time to install it, the guy went with me to my car, the guy just said it cannot be done, that's it. So i go home and went to another shop. This shop install the battery for 10 minutes ,as easy as that. The people in Auto Zone are a lot of bull. read more

Ordered parts online, and got an email the next day saying they were in. Picked them up that night. The computer in the store was down, so they couldn't print a receipt, but I took the bag and went home to get the car running. Wrong parts. Wouldn't fit. Next day, before I could get down to return them, somebody called from the store and said my parts were in. OK, mystery to me, but maybe it will be all right. Back to the store. They can't find the parts. Long wait, then somebody spots them on the shelf 6 feet from me. "Hey, I got 'em!" Same wrong parts as the first wrong parts. Won't work. And they won't refund my money because, you guessed it, I have no receipt. My name and order number are in the system, I have the unused parts still in the original packaging, got an email confirming my order, but I'm out $70. BONUS: Ordered the parts from Rock Auto for 40% less money and got them in 2 days. read more

Do not allow them to make a straight exchange. Get your money back and do a whole new transaction, especially if you are going to have to buy anything additional. They sold me the wrong part which I paid for in cash along with the core, went back and the core was an additional 15.00 plus I bought some sockets which I put on credit card. When I came to get my core charge back they put the entire 40.00 core back on a credit card. In addition they took off my original discount that I had on the original purchase and do not apply to the new purchase so it cost me an extra $17.00. And of course if you ask to speak to a manager, he's not there. What a surprise!!! I shouldn't known better then to stray away from O'riellys. read more

This place has amazing customer service and i just wanna give a shout out to the 3 employees that trued their absolute best to help me fix my headlight 2 days ago please forgive me I forgot their names. I know one gentlemen his name is Charles and I forgot the young lady and the 2nd gentlemen's name but it was 5 minutes before closing they weren't irritated they were actually 100% attentive and willing to even help me change out my headlight. told me exactly what I needed to do to get it done and all with beautiful genuine smiles. thank you very much for having a bad they made that experience a good one. read more

I want to give a shout out to casey and tasher (not sure if i am spelling their name right). I went for a little get away to reno from LA. I guess because of the cold weather my battery gave up, the day i was supposed to come back to LA. That was the closest autozone i had. Both of those associates named above were awesome helped with everything i need it to get my battery and car up and running. Is this what they mean by customer service? I'm disabled so I bought some items on-line so my friend could get my truck running so she could use it. I worked it out with the day Mgr so she could pick everything up after her work day ended @ 4:30 PM. At 7:30 AM I got the " ready for pick up " email and called my friend and told her and then I waited until she got to the house and when I asked where one of the items was she told me that's all they gave her. I called the store and they admitted that my missing ( but paid for ) item was there and hadn't been included w/the other parts. I informed them that they could give me a credit on my credit card and put it back on the shelf. I was informed that to get a credit I had to personally bring the receipts to the store to prove I bought what they know I bought in the first place! Couldn't email them, had to bring them in person. Did I mention I am disabled and that's the reason my friend did this for me in the first place??? Amazing!!!! I'm not one to suffer fools gladly so to you at STORE 4163 I say: Enjoy the $38.99 plus tax that you got for nothing. I won't shop at your store again. read more

My Mom and I have both visited this particular Autozone location several times, and we won't go anywhere else! This location is AWESOME! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and they go above and beyond to help you and take care of you. My Mom was there a few days ago to buy a replacement bulb for one her brake lights. She said Josh was excellent as he not only found the part she needed, but was kind enough to go out to her car and actually REPLACE THE BULB FOR HER!!!! She tried to tip him, and I think it speaks to Josh's honesty and integrity that he Thanked her, but said company policy doesn't allow him to accept cash tips. Perhaps a RAISE is in order for this outstanding employee **hint** **hint**!! So, if you need to replace your battery (I have a bad back and they carried mine to my car for me!), you're not sure what kind of motor oil you need to use, or you know what you need but aren't finding it easily, the amazing staff at this Autozone location is always right there to help you out and they do it with a GENUINE SMILE!!! I would give these guys and gals 10 stars if I could.
