This is a review on both buying a new trailer, and on the store. I haven't used the service department. I don't know why a few people have some bad experiences, but mine was very good all around. First off, my sales person, Ted, was easy to reach by email and super responsive. I spend a lot of time on the phone and working on projects during the workday. Email lets me accomplish a lot of personal items efficiently, so I appreciated that. Another dealer said they do not deal by email, because a serious buyer goes in. Well, no, the proof I was serious is that I did buy. The trailer was a great deal. Now, it was on clearance for year end, but still a great price all around. No haggling or BS, just a great price. They gave me an out the door price by email, so I'd know what I was into before driving 75 minutes each way to see them. The web site had plenty of photos. The buying process was probably as simple as they could make it. On delivery, a very friendly, helpful, and smart guy named Levi walked me through all the details of the trailer itself. He then helped get me hooked up, swap the hitch ball, and things like that. He clearly loves helping people with their new trailers. He was very detailed and asked clear questions like, "Is there anything else we could do to make you happier with this?" There was a small defect with the awning, so Levi photographed and documented it all for a warranty claim. Still usable, but needs to be repaired or replaced. The trailer was immaculately clean, delivered with a good amount of propane, right amount of water (some to use, but not full so it's not heavy), tanks clean, etc. Battery was fully charged. So really, ready to go right from the dealer. The store is HUGE. The only downside is that the prices vary from slightly high to outrageous. Honestly I only go to the store if I need something right now for a trip. For example, the sewer hose kit I wanted was $57 at their store, and $36 from Amazon. Identical SKU/UPS code. I understand a few bucks extra for having it locally, but that's a 63% markup! Some other items were a buck or two more than online, so I picked them up. That's fair. read more

I maybe write one review every few years. Basically, you have to have world class awful service for me to provide a review. I've made several calls to the Mesa location to try and resolve a problem we had with a brand new Country Cottage unit we bought. At delivery the fridge didn't work. Service wanted us to take out a window of the unit and bring the full size fridge in, rather then send someone to us. We have tried to get calls back from the GM and the head of the service department to discuss this. Each message has been ignored. Funny thing is they did a great job up until the unit was delivered and the deal completed. Then they suddenly turned into Patrick Swayze and Ghosted us. I found an RV I liked and I was assigned a salesman, I put in an offer, the salesman said he would talk to his manager about my offerand credit and they immediately pulled my credit, said he would call me back the next day. Days went by and I finally called him and he apologized but said he had been busy. Making me feel like a side sell rather than a buyer. He had to talk to his manager still and he would get back to me. Calls turned into emails and texts. Finally I called him and he explained the deal he and his manager had come up with and in the deal he said there would be a $2000 inspection fee. They didn't ask for a deposit for the RV and they had sold the one I liked. But they said they would find another one that I would like. My husband and I just bought a new 35' 5th Wheel from Camping World. We looked at many campers at many different sites but we knew this location was the place for us because of our sales rep. These guys have a terrible customer service, i have been customer of this business for quite some time but there is no way I am coming back after they treated me like shit and won't get me a reimbursement or credit for a defective brake controller. I recently purchased a tow trailer RV from Camoing world, actually had a great experience with the sales person, but that is where it ended. Dealing with service has been a night-mare, from the start up, to know where I needed service after taking the unit out once, it has been in the shop for 3 weeks and I haven't received a single call to tell me whats going on. I did reach out once and was told my RV would be going into a bay last Monday, still have not heard whats going on. Just tried calling service and no one was available to take my call. Terrible experience. When I dropped off, I was told 2 days to diagnose my furnace issue, and then they would call to authorize repairs. I had to call them 1 week after drop off to get a status and was told that repairs were done. I set up an appointment for 3 days later to pick it up. They overcharged for the work they did, could not find my trailer for 45 minutes when I showed for my pick up appointment, and when I went inside, I fouund everything they worked on was still dissasembled. Two service writers came out and put things back together since the tech was off work. I was there 1.5 hours for a simple pick up. They barely appologized. The receptionist Di was great to work with. Very high pressured sales here, and not honest in the way they deal with customers. We will not buy from here due to this. We went in, and just wanted to look at the different type RV's and trailers, as we are new to RV's and wanted to get an idea of the different types out there, and what might work best for our family. But at Camping World, you cannot browse any RV without signing in at a desk, giving them a copy of your driver's license, and providing them with your phone number. Then you are assigned a sales person who asks you what you are looking for and your price range (they will not let you browse alone). We gave them some details, and our salesman went and spoke to his manager. He came back with a list and said they found some RV's that fell into our range (huge lie). He takes us outside to the back of the store where there are many RV's, and we join him in a small golf cart and he drives us around the lot, expecting he has a few RV's to show us. But he stops at nothing! We see 2 used smaller RV's, and ask him about them, and ask him to stop. But he is evasive, and it is obvious he does not want to sell us anything older. After about 10 minutes of driving us around he tells us there is nothing on their lot that falls into the range we were looking for. The manager and the salesman simply lied to get us outside, hoping we would buy a more expensive RV. Whenever we go to any dealership and are lied to in such a manner, and our time is wasted, we never return, because if they can lie so easily at the onset, you know they will be lying all the way through any negotiations. read more

We purchased our very first brand new camper from Camping World in April 2023. Our salesman was great, financing was easy enough and the guy who do our walk through was SO knowledgeable. The problems is, once they get your money they aren't gonna do anything they say they will. If you choose to buy from them DO NOT take your camper off the lot until everything is inside of it. Is it missing a cushion? The oven won't light? Refrigerator doesn't work?? Leave it there! Let them fix it, then take it home. Oh, make sure ALL your outlets work!! Once you take it home, they don't see an order, or their system is down. They'll call you back!! No, they won't!! Just play it safe, go somewhere else!! read more

Yesterday we went to Camping World to ask about tankless water heaters for our trailer. Everybody was helpful and said they could order 1 and the extra parts and gave us a print out. Today we called and nobody was available to talk to. So, we drove over there and talked to them, and a salesperson tried calling the supplier to find out a time line and price. She was put on hold for over a half hour and a coworker told her in front of us to just call the customer back when they found out the answer! Not to stay on hold for half an hour! We waited just a little longer and left and I felt bad for her getting chewed out and my phone never rings on a promise of a call back! The facility was clean and organized. However, when it comes to customer service and sales, I will not recommend working with Hayden. Before showing us any trailers or toy haulers, he sat us down at a table and wanted to talk numbers right away. Not a good way to make a sale. Brought my rig into camping world in New River, for possible rear pumpkin leak. Did a fluid change stating the anti foam was gone. Went on a trip and was still leaking. Brought it in after trip for same issue and level leg repair. They had the rig for 3 weeks and did nothing. No communication at all other than me going in to check on status. Pulled the rig out 3rd week. Brought it to another place. Rear pumpkin not leaking, it was the rear shocks blown out. Diagnosed the level legs and replaced level system with new one through extended warranty.. read more

Not only did they lie over and over but they also left my RV in worse shape then when i dropped it off. The Braun wheel chair lift was not working on your RV, so I called Winnebago and asked about dealers. The closest one did not want to touch the lift, even though it was part of the Inspire model from Winnebago. The dealer I bought it from, La Mesa RV said they couldn't get to it for two months. I was told there are no mobility techs that were familiar with the wheel chair ramp. Tony, the shop supervisor, there at Camping world let me bring it in the next day and he was able to trouble shoot the problem and resolve it while I waited. This place has gone straight down since changing ownership, will not be renewing our membership. Called to get a price on a part, person who answered asked what department, told her parts. She transferred to service, explained what I was looking for, the person said they have no knowledge of my trailer. Was calling for a price on a carburetor!! They transferred me back to the first person who tried to transfer me to parts, but they would not pick up. She asked if I wanted to leave a voice message, told her I had already left two in the last couple of weeks. It's obvious this place does not want my business. You've made that abundantly clear with this experience and the last. Yes you guys tried to rip me off on an installed of a motorized roof vent, you wanted $1,675 to install and supply. I purchased part from you, had it installed and it cost me less than half of what you people wanted. In response to camping world, why would I want to try and contact you. Thought I had a problem with an auxiliary fuel tank last night. I took it to Gander RV where I had it installed last June. So this morning bright and early I went down to them without an appointment to see if I could squeeze in knowing my chances were slim to none. Well, the stars were aligned I guess because they got me in but I would have to leave my truck for the day. No problem I told them, I was retired so no issues. So, I got a call around 11am and was told everything had been repaired. On another note I have had them do several installs and they have always taken excellent care of me. If I could go lower I would! This place has been a complete joke! Had my trailer for almost 5 months and did not complete the repairs that it was brought in for. Basically treated my warranty like a burden and did half proper work because that's all the hours they were permitted knowing it was not repaired correctly to begin with and they know that as tech they said but they could only piece it together. Now I have been told to remove me horrible repaired vehicle otherwise they will start charging me storage. Horrible customer service! Horrible work quality!
