Of those 3, Camping World was the only place that asked us to sit down in an office and provide all our personal information before they would even let us look at a single RV. WOW!!!! What lies I was told to purchase a 3 year Good Sam membership. Absolutely no dump station at this location or any other in AZ. Guess I need to drive my travel trailer to another state to use this service. Absolutely no roadside assistance "unless" i pay another yearly fee on top of the one I just paid. Fuel station savings are no where near me and I read that you have to have a Pilot Flying J credit card to use them anyway. Total lies!!!! We recently bought a travel trailer from Camping World of Mesa. The salesman was awesome, listened to our needs, asked a lot of questions, took time to really understand what we wanted and needed. And promised us that we were now part of the 'camping world family', whenever we required service we would be prioritized and put ahead of others, etc. etc. The reality - after our first shakedown trip we had a few items that needed servicing under warranty. When requesting an appointment, the first available date was 2 months away. We booked it, hoping we could work with them to pull it in so we could go on our planned vacation/family reunion. All attempts to talk to someone were unsuccessful. Called many times, calls were never returned. Tried to compromise and lessen the list to only the required 1 or 2 items. No success. They wouldn't work with us, wouldn't return calls. Upon asking about our appointment that is nearing it's 2 month waiting period, we now find out that a service tech won't even look at the trailer for 7-10 days from dropping it off, and it will take up to 45 days to fix any problems. My suggestion - don't buy an recreational vehicle from Camping World of Mesa. They have horrible customer service. read more

We had a few punch items that needed to be fixed when we purchased - nothing was done until I blew up! Service at this location is BAD. Just trying to purchase an accessory for an RV was an excerise in futility multi trips to store as they kept telling me it was on the truck from warehouse. Finally I ask if they could just order me one. They ordered wrong size then reordered. When I called to see if order had arrived no one answered the phone took multi times dialing and finally someone answered and took phone number said someone would call back. No one ever called. Overall Experience for Camping World 2222 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85213. Not acceptable! Purchased a RV in May 2011. The complete process from the sales transaction to delivery of the unit the service was extremely dissapointing. What is worse, no one would claim any responsibility for each error. It was always someone elses fault. I am very sorry they got my business. Before taking delivery, we discovered title work was done correctly. Unit was not ready for pick up when promised. The second time we came back it still was not ready. Three times a charm. After taking delivery ,weeks later we found out the title work was still not correct. We had a personalized plate on our old trailer and wanted to just transfer the plate. .......Yep, we were sent a new plate. It's a shame, but it appears no one at this location seems to care about getting the job done correctly the first time. ******Warranty Work******* March 2012. Needed warranty work done. RV unit was in service for 3 weeks. Camping World called me on Wed, I attempted to pick it up on Saturday and discovered 2 of the 3 problems were not completey repaired. The 3rd item was a water leak inside the trailer when filling up the fresh water tank. I will not know till I take unit out again and unfortunatly it will be out of warranty by then. I called CORPORATE customer service since the issue of Poor Customer Service is still exsist since May of 2011. What was I thinking....Everything trickles down from corporate. Someone is suppose to call me back in 2 days....I won't hold my breath. Just beware. This bad customer service is not a conicidence. read more

Parts & Service could not have been better. Ray in Parts gave me a great price on a supplemental Brake System and set an appointment with the Service Dept a week later. When I arrived Eric greeted me promptly and was very professional. When I asked a question he was not sure about he asked the Technician to come out and discuss with me. Technician was professional and answered my question, ( think his name was Jason). Eric advised when it would be ready to pick up and it was done when promised. Absolutely the worst experience I could possibly imagine from a large purchase from such a well known name. The salesman is the only person I dealt with who has any follow through and the service department is completely inept at best. The management is good at making promises, but so far 100% failures at keeping them. What a total embarrassment. They delivered a unit to me with the toy hauler frame not attached to the wall but didn't tell me about it which caused further damage, they damaged my roof and refused to do anything about it, they did not send the cables that hold the back door as well as other missing parts, they promised to replace the chair that was all gouged and did not, they do not return calls and worst of all, they have not replied to my local camping world in the warranty process, which in a complicated way negates the coverage for some of the legitimate warranty items. Keystone is no better than Camping World Mesa, but this review focuses on the failures of this poorly run dealership, which I hope no one ever goes to and experiences the same things I have experienced. Trent and Brian took great care of us overall. If you can remember to hate the game, not the player, then they are amazing! The employees are all very nice and personable, just keep in mind that the Mesa location does use old school sales tactics, every single one in the book... So if you can go in prepared to 'handle' all of that, then you can do well. Also be prepared to comparison shop- it may be the only way you will have any leverage. We still overpaid for a new camper in the end (especially after the finance and warranty dept got a hold of us), and I am going to have to personally own that failure to stick with my guns- my fault really, they are just doing their jobs and I can admit to getting outplayed. (grrr) ;-) Our orientation went pretty smoothly and we really liked Danny, our tech. We do have a couple items that need to be addressed, and hope that process goes smoothly- will update this review with our post purchase service experience. Meanwhile, we are celebrating the acquisition of our very first travel trailer and plan to squeeze every penny of enjoyment (lots and lots of pennies) out of it that we can! We had a great experience buying a travel trailer. We started shopping the weekend of August 10th. We met Jamie our sales person, whom after taking our name and phone # , allowed us to browse the lot just to see what we may want to buy. When we came back in with our choices he offered us ice cold water and answered the questions we had. He gave us his card and told us to call if we had questions. We went home did our homework and came back the 18th with a narrowed down list. Jamie remembered us from the weekend before gave us water and sent us out again. We picked the coach we wanted and the negotiations started. It was a smooth and fair process. We went back the 24th to pick up our new rolling vacation home. Levi was outstanding with his review and teaching of all the functions of our trailer. The finance department was fast and efficient . I recently had my brakes and wheel bearings on our 5th wheel redone at Camping World in Mesa. Our service advisor, Nate, was a real pleasure to work with. He explained everything in detail. The service started with repacking the wheel bearings replacing the seals and inspecting the brakes. On inspection, they discovered that the brake wiring on one of the wheels was messed up, causing total loss of braking to that wheel. Nate gave me a detailed estimate on all the recommended repairs and gave me the option of how much or how little I wanted to do. I opted to do the complete brake job which included new backing plates/shoes/magnets, resurfacing the drums and repairing the bad wiring. The final cost came in slightly lower than the original estimate. The repair was completed as scheduled, and I'm very happy with the results. read more

Absolutely the worst service department in Arizona.I took my 5th wheel in for a servicing package in March 2018.It is now July and it is still there.A total nightmare getting to talk to the adviser. The first adviser would never return phone calls and you could only leave a message.He eventually emailed me about needing more items repaired.It needed a new battery for $250 and also 4 new tires $905.He must think I am stupid.The tires were way overpriced and it was $50 per tire to mount and balance them(discount tire has excellent tires for $77 each plus $15 to mount and balance-go there).I drove down to Mesa to talk with adviser and ended up talking to the service manager.We cleared up what I wanted serviced and repaired and I thought we were good.Another month goes by and still the service is not completed.I called to talk to the adviser (BOE)and i was informed that he no longer worked there(he would have made a great high pressure salesman as he would come up with more things wrong all the time).So now I drive down again to Mesa(it is approximately 140 miles round trip)and meet the new service adviser (Pete)and we go out to the 5th wheel(in a large dirt field in Arizona)and went through what was done and not done(its been 3 months so far at this point).Upon opening the door it was full of dust and when trying to open slides the rear driver side would not work.He said he would look into it and get back go me with a price to repair it.They have it 3 months and are telling me I have to pay to fix something that broke while it was in their possession ?? The tires will need to be replaced as they are exposed to 110 plus temperatures every day.This new adviser told me that my trailer would be ready the following Tuesday or Wednesday(I went in on a Friday) so I took his word that it would be done.Two weeks later and no call.Finally 3 weeks later I hear from him and he says the work is done "BUT"--Here we go now more $$$$ for something.He began telling me about how the slide out(same one as before)was not working and he would have the service manager and shop person look at it and get back with the price.At this point I could no longer take it and yelled at him that they would charge me 3 times the price for the motor and another 3 times what it would take to replace it.He just said he would get back to me.Now its over 2 weeks and I have not heard a word.This means that I will most likely have to drive down there again o see what exactly is going on.This time however I will be wanting to meet with the service manager,general manager and the so called adviser as it has ow been over 4 months and the work is still not completed.I will after picking up the 5th wheel take it to another shop with the list of items that they supposedly did and make sure they were done.I can not trust them saying it was all done. Overall this has been the worst experience I have ever had with any type of service anywhere in my life.I can never ever recommend this Mesa store to anyone for any type of servicing or purchasing an RV of any type.Take the time to research a good shop other than camping world and you will most likely get top notch service and not treated like a cash cow for them.There are many shops around that can get you a turn around on repairs of 1 to 2 weeks for servicing and repairs.At this point we are approaching 5 months and its still is not done.I do not know why they can not complete work in a short period of time.My only conclusion is that the way totally overbook themselves with little regard as to how long it takes to do the work.The bottom line to them is how much $$$$ they can make and cause you the most aggravation they can !!!! Just to let you know all those months your RV sits in Camping World in Mesa or any other one you are still making the payments and paying insurance.The whole time not being able to use it and you might as well add that onto your cost factors also. read more

I have taken my new R V back 6 times for various issues. The straw that broke the camel's back? I had waited for four months to have the countertop replaced. I was scheduled for an early week (Monday/Tuesday) installation, so I dropped my trailer off on Friday. I went to pick it up on Wednesday and was told it was not ready. I had an out-of-town emergency so I left after being told they could ship it from their location in Mesa, where they did not have time to install it, to Texas and I could have it installed there. I gave Nate the location/zip of where I would be and he assured me it would be sent with no hesitation to the nearest location. Well, we are at the nearly two-month mark and my husband went into the dealership and was told the part now has to be shipped from the factory in California!!!! Where's my counter, Nate????? Nate, lied and said he sent me an email requesting the location I needed to have it shipped and whoaaaa what'da know of all the thousands of emails I receive his just happened to be the only one to slide mysteriously into the loss email abyss. Mr. Marcus Lemonis. Since we started our business relationship with Camping World both of Akron Ohio and Mesa AZ, we haven't experienced any thing but BAD customer service, LACK of technical support, LONG DELAYS with the unit simply sitting in the back of the dealer's lot, and HUGE bills to pay. Our current experience has been the WORST of all. Your service advisor, Tash Natachu, at Camping World Mesa as well as your people at Camping World Akron, failed to advise us on critical maintenance items for our RV QG 5500 Onan-Cummins generator, especially the correct number of hours in the generator's maintenance interval. The most amazing part is that out of the 16 months that we have owned the vehicle, 377 days (12 months -12 days) our motorhome has been parked at CW/M's lot waiting for parts, and then service scheduling for repairs. None of the work orders of Ms. Natachu, Mr.Robert (another service advisor assigned to us) or Mr. Rick Williams (Service Manager, who needs a LOT of customer service training) recommended any generator maintenance at all. During our most recent 3-day vacation, the generator would start but would only run for 2-3 minutes before stopping. We brought our motorhome on August 12th, 2017 for that issue and other repairs under warranty with Forest River, the manufacturer. Three weeks later we were contacted by Mr. Boe Cottom (another service advisor) who said that the carburetor from the generator needed to be replaced. He also noted that due to LACK OF MANTENANCE the insurance would not cover the cost. The generator according to Mr. Cottom should be run every month for 1-hour, and also needed to have an oil change at 50 hours, after we were told at CW in Akron that maintenance would be at 100 hours. From the beginning there has been misinformation and lack of technical support from Camping World service advisors who are supposed to have the experience and/or knowledge that the job requires. Today, October 13, 2017 we received a call where Mr. Cotttom was informing the vehicle was ready to be picked up and the total amount to be paid for the generator repairs was $1.380.15. When I asked why the final price had climbed so high when the carburetor was only $349 and we are now well aware that the total number of hours to disassemble, removing the old carburetor, installing the new one, re-assembling it and testing, according to the generator manual as well as several YouTube videos for the identical generator model would not take more than 1.5 hours. Are we being charged $907 (more than 2.5 times the retail value of the carburetor) for no more than 3 hours of work ? Especially when all this happened because of a LACK of professionalism and communication on the part of Camping World. It was very clear to me that your Service Manager Rick Williams is a prime example that you don't care about your customers. He is very rude on the telephone, and resorts to yelling at us (the ones who along with other customers make his job possible). We want a clear resolution to this, we will pick up our motor home tomorrow because we did not buy an RV to leave at your place; however, you have to realize that our inconvenience in time, leisure and money was only caused by your team's LACK of proper communication with us and related technical support. If our motor home was parked at their place for straight two-to-three months at the time, and now they are saying the generator should be turn on once a month, the question is why they did not do it? I wrote a review earlier this month but did not give an explanation as to why I gave Camping World such a low rating. I purchased a 22 Ft. Travel trailer In March of 2016. The salesman at first was very nice and I'm not saying He is a bad individual but the fact is He makes money on commission. I took about a week getting my down payment in order and as time went on I got the impression that it was urgent for him to make a sale. Next I went to finance and everyone there was nice until my insurance co. was slow producing proof of insurance to the loan company. Then I received phone calls one after the other explaining that the loan company was holding the payoff to Camping world until they received proof of insurance. It took 4 or 5 days to get it cleared up. No fault of Camping World but their finance people should have been more understanding. Next my delivery date was set for a Saturday. Went to pick it up and was told there were multiple problems. Shower stall leaked the breaker to the fridge did not work and therefore neither did the fridge. The television did not work either. Same Breaker? So I ask if I could leave it and pick it up when the warranty work was done. They told me that was fine it would probably take a couple of weeks to get parts and another week for repairs. I told them that was fine. June rolls around and I needed the trailer because I was going to My Grand daughters wedding and we were going to use the trailer as our place to live for a week. Called Camping world and they said they had the T.V. and fridge working but was still waiting on the shower stall. I told them I need it so they let me take it and to bring it in when I got back. Went on vacation up north. First night we were there the temperature dropped to about 40 degrees, went to turn the heater on, it didn't work. Thank god my Daughter had a space heater we borrowed. The next morning we tried to use the microwave. You guessed it. It didn't work. After vacation took it back in. They ordered all parts again. I waited 3 weeks to get it back. When I picked it up I noticed that the paint on the rear bumper and on the tongue was faded. I ask about it and the guy that was showing me all they had done said that the Arizona sun had that affect on things that it should just wipe off so he took a rag and sprayed something on it and indeed it did wipe off. I took it to my storage facility placed my cover on it and it stayed in storage until late October when we took it on a camping trip. When I removed the cover and rolled it up to hand down to my wife I noticed that the plastic vent covers were cracked I inspected them and they were like paper thin. I fixed them with silicone until we could get new ones. As I was hooking up I noticed the paint was faded again on the rear bumper and the tongue also the battery box strap was rotted and had dropped on the ground. I don't know what they used to clean it but I hope no one else had that happen to them. Never again will I use them and I haven't. Also I will never recommend them to anyone. My business partner and I bring our 5th wheels in every year on our way back to Minnesota. We've owned multiple RV's over the years and we know that no RV comes without some sort of failure each time we take them out. I've read Camping World of Mesa's reviews and must say that I disagree with their rating. We continue to return to them as I have always had fantastic service at this location. They are polite and the work that we ask to have done has always been done very well. They do let us know of services they recommend being done and most of the time, we agree to have them done because we want to minimize headaches down the road. If I could leave zero stars I would . Run don't walk away from Mesa Camping World RV repair/ parts/ service. Since 1/20/14 till today 4/25/14 they have been unable to make/ finish repairs to dock lights, stair cover and they broke our main cabin slide while they had it. They were unable to look at it as they were "too busy" for 3 weeks, numerous calls, no call backs, in disgust we took it to a great professional place( God Bless East Valley RV Specialists!) . The good news for other consumers? This place is shutting down for good. They never informed us since March that they had no techs competent to work on RVs!!! Case in point? In no business today should the finance guy tell you "We want 25,000 dollars down, you need gap insurance, you have to have a bumper to bumper insurance for 450 dollars a month plus your RV payment of approximately 800.00 dollars in no means is this helping you out only themselves. Look at the A Class Georgetown XL they have on their site. Should have been driven off the lot two weeks ago but because there were so many inquiries on this RV and I was not "the perfect SALE" never took my deposit and sold it from under my feet. Funny thing is the RV is still there and price keeps jumping up and down. My husband and I went to this Camp World in Mesa after having a great experience with the one in Tucson. We went to Mesa because my sister in law lives there and has had several travel trailers and Mesa has a different inventory. Anyway we dealt with Jeana, a saleswoman, who started off nice enough but became a little pushy in that she wanted us to buy what she thought we needed. We finally settled on new, so now comes the real shitty part the contract. We were very upfront with her about how much we were willing to spend and what our monthly payment would be. We have excellent credit and she came back with a deal that was clearly not what we talked about. When we tried to explain to her again she was pissy about it. Finally we get what we want and initial the deal and were told they would get the financing finished on Monday. So Monday comes and goes and Tuesday at 4p I call and talk to the receptionist who was a bitch and said there wasn't anyone to talk to. She hung up on me twice and the third time put me to a number that just rang and rang. However, my husband called like five minutes later and she was so sugary sweet to him and put him right through to the finance manager. And of course for two days we have been trying to get ahold of Jeana but she isn't returning out calls or emails at all. So now the finance manager comes up with some stupid excuse about how the guy who is handling out stuff is out for his 30th wedding anniversary which is why no one has called us. He looked up our deal and it is for less time that we agreed upon and for $250 more per month than we agree up and this interest rate is 2 percent higher. So needless to say my husband drove down there the next day got out deposit back and we will deal with people who are way more professional than Jeana and Mr. Matthius. These people suck....customer service is terrible and they lie. Not to mention the fact they tried to sell us a Good Sam product that isn't even available anymore. What a rip off these people are i took my coach in there on the 15th on november for generator service and for them to check entrance door air leak and why the furnace wasn't getting and gas, when i dropped it off they said they would be done with it the 23rd of november not to call them e-mail them for which i did and the only email response i got was the water valve was on order and wouldn't be in for another week ? I emailed back said there was nothing wrong with any water valves it my coach was in for the heater and gen service with no response back till i called the main manager then i told them im leaving december 7th on a trip and they said it wouldn't be finished so i went and took possession of my coach on the 2nd at a cost of $420 for a service on the generator and for them to tell me what i told them about my darn heater i will never take nor will i ever recommend them to anyone for repairs read more

I took a chance on these guys even with all the negative reviews posted on yelp. I kept thinking I had to go with a chain store in case I ever needed warranty work while traveling, but this location is really struggling in the service repair business. I'm new to the RV service culture being a new owner, but do not understand why they need to keep my vehicle for three weeks before they even get to the diagnosis? Seems like I could just keep my vehicle and bring it in when they are ready to actually work on the repair. I was given a date when they would get to the repair and the date came and went with no communication. A few days later I reached out to them...numerous times...before I finally got my estimate for the repair. I had a small piece that needed to be repaired in my awning and I was told I needed a completely brand new awning. I'm going to shop around more for an estimate as I'm perplexed this piece can't be replaced. I had them add some support straps to the plumbing and that repair was fine. However, due to the lack of communication and going far beyond what I was told when I would get my vehicle back I would avoid these guys. read more

Went in to buy a new Pullrite Automatic fifth wheel hitch for my truck. Dave was real helpful and contacted me with pricing the "next day". I thought of checking with two others local businesses for pricing and delivery before Dave got back to me. Glad I did. Guess what Camping World even with my GS discount was 15% higher then both of the local dealers. I would give them a 5 if I were reviewing the awesome support I got from the regional service Director. I went to the main street location to have repairs done on my motorhome. Bottom line, the communication was awful. The tech who works with you did not communicate with me. The repair tech did repairs that a 10 year old would do. The workmanship and quality of repairs was way below standards. After nearly having my rv a month, I found many things not fixed, the carpet was all greasy from walking all over it with greasy shoes. Never did clean. I had to do it myself. Service manager a joke, he was told everything and basically, disregarded my concerns. Basically backed his staff. Very incompetent. Had to have the repairs corrected at La Mesa Rv. The only shining experience was the great communication style from the Regional Service Director, Russ Hunt. A quality individual with great communication skills. Listened to my concerns. Said he'd take care of me. And Mr. Russ followed though and made all his promises come true. He took care of the repair bill and I would highly recommend that if you ever need someone with Professionalism, Great Customer service skills, Seek out Mr. Russ. I think this might be the worst experience we have ever had with a business. We dropped off our 4 horse trailer with live in quarters at camping world for maintenance and to have the generator fixed. After it being there for a week and a half and not hearing from them, we give them a call. We get some big story about how they were waiting for our approval on repairs but after pushing more, we were told that the person handling it quit. So after getting that handled and about another two weeks, we are told it is done. After getting it home, we find out that we were charged over 3K and the trailer has more damage than when brought in. The generator still doesn't work, the overhead recessed lighting is hanging , the blinds that were suppose to be restrung are just gone, the tv is missing and the list is just to long. At this point, we are leaving in a few days for a two week barrel race excursion and can't take it back in. We are told to bring it back in when we get back and it will all be taken care of. We get back and bring it in immediately. Well almost two weeks later and daily phone calls to them and we are finally told that basically they couldn't fix anything and to come get the trailer. We are just bewildered that this place is still in business read more

I just bought my first motorhome and i'm thrilled with it !!!! my salesman , Jamie, was fantastic !!! as a single older women it was nice not to feel pressured , he explained everything so I could actually understand it !! I was in a few times before I made up my mind and he was very patient. I needed to change my pick up date and Jamie not only made sure everything was taken care of( i had them install a solar panel and vent covers ) he came in on his day off so he could be there when i picked it up !! Steve did my walk through with me and he was great , knew everything about the rv and answered all my questions, i never felt rushed. everyone i dealt with was friendly and willing to explain things to me. i would definitely recommend this place if your looking to buy a motorhome !! thanks to Jamie i had a great experience buying my first rv !!! read more
