Awful. Yeah, I bought RVs, including a large class A from this CampingWorld store in Denton, Texas. Our camper was scraped by passing Semi. They guaranteed the insurance company a two day repair, a two week total time in shop. It was there four months! With the minor bodywork they did they removed the wrong decal. They put a new window in and did not secure it, and it fell out. They created ridges in the paint after a very simple body repair and worst of all they continually lied about the status of the repair. We were hostage for four months and missed half the camping season. Do not use CampingWorld. They took no ownership just delay after delay for what was to be a two day repair. I purchased a camper from Camping World's Lewisville, Texas location and the experience has been nothing short of alarming. I was assured the camper was in great condition, I later discovered minor issues, and serious safety issues like undercarriage rust, worn out tires, disintegrating brakes. When I requested inspection and service records, the dealership repeatedly failed to provide them and even claimed I needed a subpoena for these documents. This lack of transparency and refusal to provide basic information along with a remedy has been incredibly frustrating. Even after multiple attempts to escalate the issue they have not been cooperative. I expected better customer service, honesty, especially since it involved safety and negligence. In my experience I believe salesman should not be taken at there word. They will say anything even if its incorrect. Make sure everything is written down and signed by both parties and receive copies, also get a new and used camper inspected by a third party somebody not associated with camping world for obvious reasons, and most importantly ask for all prior documentation upfront , reconditioning slip, predelivery inspection sheet as they clearly will not hand them over readily. Additionally, I would never EVER be a repeat customer of camping world. Check out the reviews for BBB, Facebook pages, trustpilot, Reddit, google, and yelp. Buyers BEWARE!! First of all beware the campers are way overpriced. I bought my camper for $17,000 but the payment is only $250/mo, which at the time was all I was concerned with. Of course that for 30 years or something. I'll be paying on this until I die. Then 8 months later I wanted to trade it in for a bigger one and they'd only offer me $5000 trade in for it! And that's only if I upped my total to $30,000! If I wanted to spend 30 grand I'd just buy a small house! We waited at the place for EIGHT solid hours after having an appointment at 1pm we didn't actually leave until 8 pm to purchase the RV. During that 8 hours they were supposed to install a 7 pin wiring harness and braking system on my car, which they then said they couldn't do because there was "something wrong with my cars wiring", although there wasn't. They tried to charge me $500 more to "fix" it. They never installed the braking system which CAME with the purchase of my RV. I had my neighbor get the 7 pin working for $100. But still can't get the braking device installed by Camping World (which was included with my highly inflated purchase) because I keep getting the run around. AND there was sewage in the black tank when I received it although there's a huge sticker on the toilet saying "every" unit is emptied and sanitized before being sold... riiiight. There's a missing shade on one window, the screen in the emergency exit window doesn't fit, it's not even the right size, many of the interior lights don't work, they flicker and go out. The door doesn't latch right, I have to use a screwdriver sometimes to close it. Beware. Check EVERYTHING and be especially leery of last minute "problems" that cost additional. read more

Stay away from this dealership they do not disclose pre-existing conditions, even though they say that everything goes through a pre delivery inspection. on our way back home to California we discovered that our refrigerator a 16 cu ft was not secured properly, and therefore it shifted and hit the side wall inside the unit. After seeing this we decided to have an inspection of our own done to make sure this unit didn't have any other issues. We contacted a local reputable RV repair service man.He went over the unit and said that there is small cracking in one of the vents on the roof which has caused a leak in the roof which led to a soft spot. This does not happen in two months since we bought the trailer we live in California. There has been no rain. Trevor the general manager in Denton called us and was the rudest most arrogant inconsiderate person we've talked to so far at Camping World.His response to all this was "prove it " so that's Camping World's response. camping World of Bakersfield California who is going to complete a due bill to us,had to call Denton several times they didn't respond to them until I got a hold of corporate. We just had the wheel bearings checked on the trailer that we've had barely 2 1/2 months. apparently part of their inspection does not include checking the wheel bearings on the unit because they were dry so we had to pay for that to be done and that was another $314. Our service repair guy said the crack in the attic vent should have be seen during the roof inspection and the soft spot was right next to it. Trevor the general manager is a total jerk. I purchased a travel trailer from Camping World, Denton, TX on 09.30.25. I just want you all to be aware of the gouging that takes place there, as well as some questionable business practices. First, my car needed a trailer hitch to pull my trailer and they quoted me $4,050. I guess because I'm a single female they thought I was too stupid to know any better. Needless to say, uhaul charged me well under $1K for a better hitch. I did purchase a stabilizer bar from them but they conveniently left that off when it was delivered. Interestingly enough when asking for my refund, a couple of the staff members were not as helpful and courteous as they were when I was purchasing the trailer. When seeking my reimbursement I asked for my original sales order so that I could confirm my return only to later learn my original sales order was reworked after the deal was completed adding more expensive items that I did not purchase, and deleting the lessor value item. All in all they owed me $1,320. It took some push to get my refund as every time I called I was shuffled to a different person. When voicing my frustrations, the General Manager was very disrespectful to me. I asked him several times to not speak to me with such disrespect as I was being calm and stating the facts. The last time I asked him to please stop speaking to me so rudely, he hung up on me. I know there are a lot of Karen's out there, but I assure you, I was not acting like a Karen. I was simply requesting my money that was owed to me while expressing my concern that I was not getting answers. I finally received the refund check, but it took a month of being shuffled around from person to person. If you plan to purchase a trailer or RV from the Denton location, please go slow and look over EVERYTHING methodically. Have them be very transparent! I know we all expect some upcharges when purchasing a vehicle, boat, or trailer/RV, but in my experience, they are looking at all angles to wrangle you into paying more money. I chose one star, as I could not choose less. The service department added a backup camera to my wife's truck. The installation was as shoddy as they come. The wire was hanging under the rear bumper, about 3 inches from the pavement. She drove from Denton to Bentonville Arkansas like that, pulling an RV. The few zip ties used were never trimmed, and stick out like whiskers. Furthermore, when installing a power port on the bumper for the brake controller, bolts were cross-threaded and went in at an angle. All shoddy and sketchy.. that is the nicest thing that I can say about it. Trying to get any remedy from the Service Manager, was like pulling teeth. No customer service, no pride in work. Customer Service is horrible. They ignore you and they gouge you - if you like that, you will love this place. EDIT - to my original comment: I ordered two RV shades to replace ones that quit working inside our RV. I ordered these sometime around June or July of 2023. They were received and installed in Jan 2024 after multiple attempts to install by me - they kept failing. Failing in the regard the tension let go. Camping World ordered new ones to replace these after having (literally) losing the first set and the second set losing tension (twice). Eventually after a lot of frustration Camping World got the new replacement. After all this: Camping World, quoted almost $300 to install the shades. This made me very upset because I had already had multiple issues and struggles to get this far - then to charge me that much more to bring them to me and install was too much. Eventually they decided not to charge me like that and made it right so I am changing my comments and updating the experience. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a business. I wish I would have read the reviews before we purchased our RV from this place. Found a RV we liked and there were some things that had to be fixed before we picked it up on June 20th. Showed up at 10 for a walk thru and had to wait on the person doing the walk thru. The first walk thru most of the things weren't fixed and the things that were didn't look good. The cleaning left something to be desired. If that's the best detail you can do you should hire new people or make sure they do a better job. We missed a couple of things and that's on us. I'm sure they knew the 2nd set of lights weren't working on the outside and I found a piece of metal behind one of the recliners when we got home that's supposed to hold the chair in place. They did another detail and fixed the things that should have been fixed the first time. I was still not impressed. The customer service needs to be better. What should have taken an hour or 2 took all day. When they get you back in the office to sign papers they keep you there forever. When one person leaves they send someone else trying to sell you something you've already said no to and that you weren't interested in having. Make sure you're paying close attention because one person tells you one thing and another something totally different. I wouldn't trust the people working there. We should have walked away and went somewhere else but we thought we were getting a good deal. I found these people a little sketchy. We were there off and on from 10- 5 A waste of time and ruined my whole day. Something that should have been a good experience. read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Already ran credit, gave us a monthly price on payment, and was told everything was good to go. Me and my husband drove 2.5 hours to just. sign papers and leave with the camper, until my credit was it again while we were waiting. They came back with a lender of a 15.5% interest rate and double the monthly payment that was already agreed upon. They said We could stay in the camper n L their lot until the next day for more lenders!? Very misleading, very unprofessional, and to top it off, our salesman named Munty did not even come and apologize for his mistake. He was cowardly enough to pass right by us and say nothing. To buying them off of Amazon if you have a good Sam membership. The stuff very professional and knowledgeable. My sales person was Bianca and she was very attentive and helpful. She is worth seeking out if your looking for an RV. The Sales manager was Trevor and he was fair and gave me a good deal on a unit I am happy with. The finance side I dealt with McKenzie and John. Both were very good at explaining things to me. Service I had a tankless hot water and solar panels added. They did a great job as well as explaining the unit and hitch to me. I had ordered the wrong 50 amp electrical cable. The customer service representative understood what I needed and went to the shelf to select it for us. The exchange of parts was quick and easy. Keep in my mind this is a review of customer service buying small parts inside the retail part; i will leave a more comprehensive review after they put new seals on my travel trailer in the next coming weeks. There is limited help on the floor, and one of the shorter female associates is verbal about letting everyone know this. I wanted to help her bring large items up front to the check out because she was having difficulty, and other employees were standing around not doing anything. This location does have a decent selection of parts if you are fixing a lot of things with your rig yourself such as gasket seals, sealant, rubber roof materials etc. The prices seem reasonable. I have yet to see a manager present. Not sure. I'm a repeat customer, as the parts/service department are very familiar with services offered and are exceptionally friendly. read more

I was robbed by this store! I took it in for 2 issues, my grey tank always indicated empty, and the backup camera intermittently shows "No Video Detected". On the grey tank, they found a loose sensor, tightened it, and it was fixed. They charged me $185 for the diagnosis. I'm fine with this charge. But in addition they charged me $30 for shipping and handling, $9.21 for an environmental fee, and $74 for shop supplies! IOW, robbery. For the backup camera the write up just says "working correctly". However it said "no camera detected" all the way back to my storage unit. They charged me $185 for this diagnosis. IOW, I was robbed again. In all, I was charged $492.56 to tighten a sensor. Don't take your RV here to get worked on! read more

DO NOT do business with Camping World in Denton Texas. They provided me with the worst buying experience for a pre-owned Airstream Interstate drivable camper. Initially, CW presented an Airstream Interstate in a you-tube video and it appeared to be very nice. They promised to cover my flight down to Denton Texas and they promised to have the Airstream ready to go when I got there. I prepared for several weeks to buy this airstream, obtained insurance and arranged storage and bought supplies to stock it and store it for spring use. When I arrived in Denton on the day of purchase, the Airstream was out for inspection. I came to find out (on the day of purchase) it needed some repairs and I was expected to take it to a Mercedes dealer when I brought it back to St Louis for repair. The airstream required other minor repairs (so I was told) and it was in filthy condition so it also needed detailed and cleaned up. I declined to buy the airstream because it was clearly not ready to sell. CW staff had no consideration for the work I put into buying this airstream or the fact it needed to be ready for my 10 hour drive home. I had wasted $650 in air fare, money for insurance and storage and a great deal of time planning my trip to get it. CW made no effort to compensate me for my flight or trouble trying to purchase this airstream. They took NO accountability and they placed the blame on me for not accepting their solution to get the airstream fixed once I got home. read more

FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! One employee offered me top value for my trailer to get me to take it to them, and he set the appointment. Then, the employees on-site pretended they never heard of him. They refused to look at his offer and listed off over $5.300 of alleged/fraudulent repair needs in order to support their offer of just over half the initial promise from their own employee. I got those repairs done for $1,200 from JAMN RV, and can't praise them highly enough. Don't walk away ... run!!! If you need repairs, go to Jamn RV. UPDATE: Read their response below. Beware of buying an RV from Camping World in Denton. They accidentally damaged the RV I put a contract on before I purchased it but didn't tell me. So they switched RV's but didn't tell me and wrote up a new contract with a different Vin and stock # that I didn't catch until I brought the RV home. Although the replacement RV is an exact copy of the first one, it was underhanded of them to not tell what was going on. I think they would sell their mother to sell an RV. This is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with. We were on their lot for eight months and all they got done was the roof J siding and the cap painted. They put the water spouts on wrong on the sides of the trailer, they didn't even get the cover for the tire exchange for a new one rubber bumpers on the sides of the back bumper or not put on And all of this took eight months. They were supposed to fix the refrigerator the stove, the fireplace, the radio the shower leaky toilet leaky sink in the bathroom leaking pipes in the bathroom, cupboard doors put on crooked etc. etc. etc. Do you think they want that work. They were too lazy and more interested in lying about their receipts and what they were doing. They told me they ordered the cap back in April. They didn't order it until August 23. They ordered the J wrap in August and it was the wrong one. Piss poor quality work. Mikey lied about receipts dates work done. Tried to charge us for a 42 foot roof when we have a 26 foot roof. This is definitely the worst Camping World I've been to in all my years with an RV. The service staff don't even try to be helpful. I called in advance about some warranty work I needed to have done. I wasn't sure about a couple of the items so I wanted to check before driving an hour for nothing. The tech on the phone told me the items should be fine and to just bring it in and they would take a look. When I get there the folks at the service desk tell me nothing would be covered except the battery issues. They said they could take a look but would have to charge me $130. I asked to talk to a tech since the people at the desk didn't seem to want to help and they told me I could but it would be $130. This is the 4th time I've been to this store and each time it gets worse. If I were the GM I'd clean house and start over. read more

Had an RV to sell due to illness in the family. Filled out a request on line and received a fair offer in a few days. Took it to the Denton location for inspection, full expecting them to come back with a lower offer based on some imagined need for repairs. Much to my surprise, the final offer was only slightly lower due to some minor repairs! Deena handled the transaction, was very cordial, polite and professional. I was upset today. We arrived to buy a Class A or C today. I was directed outside in 50 degree weather to unlock units. Well they were all lock. So, I went back inside to tell the sales man which 4 units I was interested in, and get the keys. After walking across parking lot 3 times. He still had to go back 3 times to get keys. Robert at the service counter is the worst customer service agent He would not schedule an apt unless I brought my trailer in for a "meet and greet" then they would schedule the service. They tell you when you call for service that they are backed up which is understandable, but then you schedule a service date a month later. You drop your unit off and then they don't look at it for 2 weeks. The communication is terrible here. This is strike 3 for me with camping world. From now on going to anywhere else but a camping world. This is not my first bad experience with this company but will be the last. They don't really fix anything on the warranty they sell you they look for as many service charges. Go anywhere else to buy or get service you will be way ahead! read more

The cashier was so rude, I really should have left and gone to Bass Pro. I watched her for 15 minutes try to force an elderly couple in front of me to extend their Good Sam's membership another two years even though their current membership was good until 2022! They said no 4 times and she wouldn't let it go... I handed her my purchase and she asked if I have a good sam's membership. When I said no, she asks if I'd like one. I said no. "Well you won't get a discount then, are you sure?" Yes. She scans the 1st item..."You're going to have to py full retail unless uou get a good sam's membership, you know that?" At this point, I look at her and say "No to everything, I just want to buy this and a $50 gift card and go" She then slams the t-shirt in a bag, makes a loud noise and then starts agrily mumbling about "rude" and "nasty". Starts hitting the cash register buttons really hard and then stuffs the reat of my purchase in the bag, turba her head away from me and loudly and angrily says..."I hope you have a BLESSSED day" I step away and ask someone else for a manager. The retail manager is out but the service manager comes up. Nice guy listens to my story and say the retail manager will call me. Apparently the retail manager doesn't care enough to call. Moral of the story is to avoid this place like the plague and go somewhere where they appreciate your money and time. read more
