I know we can all agree to expect the best whenever we spend our time and money on something with Extremely pleasant service and delicious food this place has it and more importantly they treat you like a person and leave space for you to enjoy yourself and eat good food but they are near by in case you need to be further served I've noticed don't hesitate to ask for anything if you need it they don't mind at all to do so! It was tender and swimming in juices but really lacked that Alabama pulled pork smoke flavor. Almost like crock pot BBQ. Other than the catfish, the meats were average. Wife hated the chicken and dumplings. Atmosphere was nice and after church let out the place was slammed. People weee enjoying it. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. We never had to wait for anything. I wish I had tried the desserts. Banana pudding, chocolate pudding, peach cobbler. Looked amazing but I had already blown my diet. I'd like to try again sometime and order off the menu. They only have the $14.99 buffet. And they have the rip off added up-charge for using a credit card. If I could run it as a debit card the fees are much lower. So many restaurants are doing this now even though pre-Covid they just built the prices with that in mind. Guess that's on me. BBQ chicken baked potato was so yummy. Service was great and the prices were very reasonable. I'll be back for sure.

Everything tasted like fish and the Manager was rude and gross. His stomach hung out the bottom of his shirt. We expressed how the food was and he acted annoyed and offered only 10% discount even though we only took a few bites because it was to bad to eat. We had to leave and go somewhere else to eat. We like to order their camp 31 burgers and the burgers are delicious so that's where the star comes from. The customer service is absolutely atrocious. The only reason this restaurant has for its low rating is its inconsistent service. I had to place an online order because no one would answer a phone for a call in. And after having to wait 10 mins for someone to acknowledge me waiting, I had to wait another 20 on my food. Then instead of an apology the waiter slung the bag at me with a "here". Just passing through town we decided to try this BBQ place. The wife and I both had the buffet. The food was what you would expect from a buffet, but I will say that there was plenty of meats to choose from. T bone steaks were kept warm in a gravy that my wife didn't care for. I was ok with it. They had lamb chops and plenty of chicken cooked all different ways. Several vegetables and salads too. On the day we were there they had chicken wings for the daily special. They looked good! Service was on point and overall, I was happy with our meal. If there is a next time, I would order off the menu and try the ribs or the wings. read more

First I'll cover our server. She was prompt,, courteous, and informed about the menu I was not expecting this quality of service at a BBQ restaurant. I had the 12oz filet (med rare/ but wanted it closer to rare.) cooked to perfection. That with sweet potato fries and a salad. All excellent. Only down fall , I was unable to finish the filet, since I filled up on salad. So I had to take it home. We ordered a slice of cheesecake to go, it too was very good. read more

This is the go-to BBQ joint in Brewton Alabama. I stopped in for lunch while I was passing through. I had a rib and brisket lunch platter. the ribs were tender and falling off the bone delicious! I was kinda bummed because the brisket was not very tender and was a bit tough and didn't have much fat. I do like the fattier brisket so I might have just got the wrong side of the cut from what I am used to... Well not go back all the of us got food poisoning from the pork they prepared there. That was they only food item we all ate. I'm guessing you're under new management. Is what I've been getting from my cousin that lives in Brewton. So there's a chance I'll give you another go. But we did get food poisoning off the pork. That was established by the doctor we went to see. It was the only food we had all consumed that matched up and it is the most finicky of all the foods if it isn't handled correctly. Mistakes happen. We are not sure what all the hype is about here. We had so many comments we decided to visit. Rather full parking lot but few people at tables. Buffet looked and smelled great. BBQ sauce was not for either of us. Typical favorite is sweet baby rays for relevance. Food was terrible. Left within 15 minutes and threw take home away. Brisket was minus any flavor at all Clams were crispy rubber Catfish was ok Fried shrimp was extra fried - dry and hard All vegetables tasted exactly the same. Baked chicken was dry and bland. It was so bad we thought we had caught corona and lost our taste sense but we could still taste awful so that theory went away. Great BBQ spot in Atmore. Not a lot of choices in the area but this place was a great find. Excellent excellent service. They really went out of their way to make our group feel welcomed and taken care of. Brisket, wings, sweet potato fries, and the pork bbq topped French fries with bacon and cheese were a hit. A small group of Harley Riders frequents Camp 31. Overall VERY Good BBQ. The only reason I am rating a star short is because the Buffet is something you really need consider IF you arrive when they set the food out. The 'end of lunch' time is NOT the time to eat the buffet chow. After eating the Grand Slam one time I swore I'd never eat the buffet again for meat or veggies. We chose to eat their Thanksgiving day lunch. Time was 10:30 -3pm. . We got there a little before 2. The food was cold,then around 2:15 they were putting what food was left all on one bar. By 2:28 the employees were getting food to carry home. We have eaten there alot but was greatly disappointed and embarrassed because we had taken family from out of town. The history of Brewton's Timber prevailed post-Civil war with work camps around these (now thin) forests --- as it became known as the "richest little town in the south". Camp31 resides within the original bldg built in 1908 as a Saw Mill adjacent to long gone platforms along the railway thru Brewton *. it sure must have been bustling from the 1860s once the railroad was brought in by "Edmond Troupe Bruton". You can see how well this location would have functioned as a part of the "great Timber Artery to the Gulf" **. ...a center for timber dispensory to Murder Creek for local lumber camps & farmers for 75years; fastinating history that's a must read... and Camp31 remains a great stop. Disappointed for the second time!!!! The first time was when i drove from Pensacola (2 hours round trip) on a sunday after seeing their billboard stating "open daily 11-9m. Wrong!!!!! Not on Sundays. They were closed at 5 pm when I got there. Disappointment #2: i just drove up to Camp 31 BBQ, again on a Sunday (11:30 am this time). I went up there to get bbq to go for family and friends for Sunday football. Again I walked away with nothing because on Sundays all they have is a buffet. Nothing online states that this is all they serve on this day of the week. The website, after returning home, says "weekend super buffet". It does NOT say that this is all they serve on Sundays. I went through every page of their menu. Nothing, nope, nada. There wasn't much of a meat selection on the line. On my way out, one of the servers did stop me and said that they could "heat up" something. No brisket and minimal pulled pork. I appreciated the offer but if you don't have anything to heat up, don't offer. These guys need to get it together when they advertise. Check out my photos to see what i am saying. My husband and I found Camp 31 bbq on Google maps. Easy to find, interesting historical building. We had the buffet, all the food was Excellent ! The bbq was great! I usually don't care for bbq sauce, this sauce was very good! I had a wonderful, fresh fruit salad, then some bbq, potato salad, soft rolls, and sweet potatoes. Wonderful meal. My husband also enjoyed the buffet, he ate bbq, piece of chicken, veges, rolls, potatoes, green beans, and coleslaw. He enjoyed it very much. Our server was Austin, he was very polite and knowledgeable about the historic building. After our meal, Austin gave us a tour of the 100+ year old building and the oldest working wooden elevator in Alabama. We rode to the 2nd floor, a formal dining area, and to the 3rd floor, then back to the 1st floor. The building was beautiful , with many original features. Poor service and flavorless food . Me and my family Got the buffet and was nothing but disappointed . Was not worth the 23.00$ each at all . The only good thing I can say about this place is there cheesecake and wine . But the service just made the over all experience even worse . First we were asked to move with plates in hand because a big party needed the table . THEN we were charged for the dessert our waitress said was included in the Buffett . Then when asked why were we charged she said she never said that but she would ask her supervisor to remove it which he refused too because we ate it . The place is built like you'd expect, like an old wooden smokehouse-type building. Clean and plenty of space to move around for large parties. Food is well made, conecuh sausage was great, pulled pork had no chunks of fat or gristle, ribs had a lot of meat on them, and the BBQ sauces were good. Potato salad tasted homemade. The spicy BBQ sauce is actually spicy, instead of just mild like most "spicy" sauces. The Apple Jack BBQ sauce is thick and sweet. The mac & cheese is, well, it's mac & cheese. The price for two adults and three kids was $47.00 with tip, no appetizer, 10% military/first responder discount. Wait staff seemed pretty distracted, but it was getting busy, and our food still came out in good time and was correct, except one meal had mac & cheese instead of fries, so they just brought us some fries gave us the mac and cheese for free. Also, I openly carried a pistol in a holster on my hip the entire time (yes it's legal, your feelings about it don't matter), and no one batted an eye. I was stationed in Texas for a while and have always missed the BBQ. This is now my BBQ place of choice. read more
