This little restaurant is off a block the beaten path and definitely worth pulling in to. It has an old school feel as you walk in and warm southern hospitality from their staff. This place is a hidden gem. We moved here about a year ago and kept forgetting to go try this place, when we finally did it did not disappoint. Menu is simple but definitely worth it. We've tried their breakfast and their lunch special and both were great. For breakfast they had blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries picked from one of the owners house, delish!!! Lunch is a typical rotating menu of southern dishes. Staff is super friendly and their food is fresh and homemade. Will definitely recommend. read more

This place may just be one of Atmore's best hidden gems! We almost didn't drive by because the majority of the online reviews were several years old and I was sure it was closed. It is most definitely still open and it is THE place to grab breakfast in Atmore! They are only open for breakfast and lunch on Monday - Friday so you're out of luck on the weekends, but if you're in town during the week, you hit the jackpot. Their cheese grits taste just like the ones my Grandmother used to make and that is high praise indeed. They cooked the bacon perfectly (Hallelujah and Amen!) and their pancakes were super light and fluffy. I am traveling with my husband and 5 kids across country. We are always looking for the local flavor restaurants. This place was great. We had fried chicken, fried pork, mac n cheese, a cheeseburger and a fried chicken salad. The staff was super friendly with the southern charm. We searched for a non fast food lunch outside of the Casino and found this little cafe off the main strip. Simple breakfast and lunch options. Breakfast options were the expected ones. For lunch he had a "big cheeseburger with bacon" and fries and I had a patty melt. The fries and onion rings were both good and the fry oil was fresh. Service was friendly and prompt. We came in & the staff waited on two other tables that came in after us. One of the servers that passed right by our table was the owner, she walked by us & waited on a table that came in over 10 minutes after we did. She didn't knowledge us or anything. After a few more minutes we left, & NO one said anything to us on the way out. Shame on this poor service. read more

Don't waste your money or your time. The place wasn't clean. The food was cold, the macaroni and cheese was hard and had no cheese. The lady serving me the so called desert had on dirty clothes and must have been their dishwasher. Never the mind the lady who waited on me to begin with had her hair all in my food!! My husband and I really enjoyed our meal here. I had eggs, bacon, hash browns, and whole wheat toast. It was hot and delicious. The bacon was a good quality thick bacon and I ordered it crisp. My husband had the club sandwich on wheat and it came with crinkle cut fries. Neither one of us left a bite of food in our plate! A hidden busy neighborhood cafe in the middle of warehouses. The place was packed throughout the morning up to lunch and everybody seemed to know each other here. The food itself was pretty good, although I didn't really like the sides - the coleslaw was to vinegary and the broccoli rice casserole needs more cheese in it - the chicken fried steak with white gravy was solid though! You may have to walk a bit further during busy time since you have to find parking on the streets. Closes pretty early - around 2.30 or so. read more

I was soooo disappointed. Me and my family use to eat here quiet often when we visited from Atlanta. Couldn't believe it!! The place has really went down hill. There were no friendly waitress to greet us. The lady that took our order was not dressed to waitress that's for sure! Her shorts were way too short for her age, and smelled like she was still hung over from the night before and all that hair hanging down was not helping my appetite. Looking around the others didn't look to clean either the one serving the deserts had on a nasty apron and smelled of body odor. The food was not too bad although the potato salad had too many eggs.
