Wow! this was my second time eating there and they worked their butts off to take our rather large party without any fuss or drama. I'm sure someone called ahead to tell them to expect our party of 500 [not a typo], but we may have shown up with more. The waitstaff, the kitchen and the cashier were just as friendly to the last person to sit as they were to the first. Michelin rates restaurants by its worthiness to travel a distance to enjoy... two stars indicated good food, worth a detour, 3 stars was exceptional food worth a special trip. I cannot say that the food is exceptional, it is exactly what I expect... good southern fried pork chop, good sides, and good comfort food dessert... I had the Banana Pudding. That would make this a Michelin Two Star raised to a power of 2... one fella drove over 4500 miles for the Buttermilk Pie. I'm already looking forward to my next visit... let's say Dec. 30th. read more

Food was plentiful and delicious. Staff was helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our lunch there.

Very good low-key spot to visit on Sunday. Nice staff. Terrific fried chicken and banana pudding. The place is a bit spare inside and could perhaps use some festive decorations (its VERY spare inside) to lighten it up a bit. It's an easy drive from Mobile or lower Baldwin County. Also don't waste your time on the fillers such as rice and gravy, go straight for the fried chicken. read more

Good dinner for the whole family! Not fancy, but the seasoning on the grilled shrimp and the Blackened Redfish was amazing. Finished off the meal with peach cobbler which was excellent. There was a buffet, but we ordered from the menu. read more

Food was home-cooked buffet style,. Food tasted good! Service was good/ great. They made sure I had extra napkins and something to drink always. They were friendly! There are Al kinds of desserts to choose from. Not a bad price for $14.55 tax included. read more

One of our favorite restaurant's to eat at. The food is wonderful and the staff are the best.

Wonderful people and good food! Without going into detail, they care about the people in the community ! We will be forever grateful! read more

They randomly change menu options when they have a catering job. Don't answer phone so when you try to check that you aren't able. Do better please. read more

Joyce and Sharon at Stagecoach catered for a celebration of life we were doing. We had fried chicken, shrimp pasta, turnip greens, Mac and cheese, potato salad, banana pudding, corn bread and dinner rolls. I'm telling you this was the best dinner I've had in a long time. It was cooked perfectly and everyone raves about it all. Highly recommend! read more

This is a locals eatery and bikers regular jaunt thru Stockton AL. Country and very casual. They have a buffet style all u can eat but also a regular menu. Food was ok, just not my style of cooking. The south truly does love their fat, sugar and salt! read more

I was given two small pieces of catfish when I went through the line. When I went back and asked for more catfish, I was told "we limit meat, you'll take this cornbread instead and be happy that you got it". Good is ok but rude service will keep me away read more

Great mom and pop eatery. Offers great buffet and your can always order from the menu to dine in. Service was really good and the staff was nice. read more

Joyce and Sharon catered the reception feast for my husbands Celebration of Life this Saturday and the food was absolutely AMAZING. Fried Chicken, Shrimp Pasta, Mac and Cheese, Turnip Greens, Potato Salad, Cornbread and Rolls...with a Meringue Topped Banana Pudding for dessert! Crazy delicious, prepared to perfection, loaded with love! Would definitely recommend these ladies and Stagecoach Cafe. Family and friends were amazed and delighted with the food! They took the burden off of my shoulders and delivered the perfect feast. If I had two extra hands I would give 4 thumbs up! Just amazing!! read more

Got a burger not great! Over cooked and came with cold fries! Looked more like a family reunion, sat forever before a waitress approached us. Had live music, and at least guy playing was really good! read more

Ate here today on my way home to Texas and I could NOT rate it highly enough!! The absolute sweetest staff, amazing options on the buffet and the BEST homemade desserts I have ever had. All of that for $12??? I wish I lived here! read more

I loved this spot! They have a little of everything, which is very convenient. What type of food are you in the mood for? Steak, seafood, or soul? Don't worry, this place has it all! The service is hands down amazing! They are more like family adding fun to the family experience! We all enjoyed this spot! Happy tummies and great smiles from a wonderful all around experience! See you all again soon! read more

Great place to get some southern cooking! Simple, down to earth, delicious. I've been here twice now and was not disappointed either time. People are very friendly and the food was great - fried chicken, greens, shrimp and grits, corn - what's not to love? My favorite though is the dessert, specifically the buttermilk pie and the chocolate buttermilk pie. I grew up in the north and had never tasted these dishes before coming here. MMMMMmmmMmm. Loved it. I want more right now. Not a lot of options in this area, so if you're around, why wouldn't you come here? read more

We have been several times for Sunday buffet lunch. Every single menu item was delicious and tasted just like my mom or grandma made it. Well worth the drive. read more

Wonderful buffet which featured on Monday, Turnip greens, squash, butter beans, green beans, rice and gravy, fried okra, liver in gravy, fried chicken and chicken fried steak. Accompanied by biscuits, jalapeño cornbread and desserts that were cake, ice cream , peach cobbler, chocolate and vanilla buttermilk pie, and banana pudding! 2 adults and and a child couldn't try it all! We tried and it was a wonderful southern buffet at its best! Nothing greasy but tasty fresh veggies and meat tasting their best! Try this buffet! The staff was efficient and very helpful and friendly! Nothing wrong here! A great little southern buffet that is NOT fancy with reservations but great fresh food at the end of the buffet! We didn't arrive early! read more

I will start off with the service being beyond excellent and our waitress was super sweet(which is why I gave it two stars)! We all had the lunch buffet, which was very disappointing. Everything was picked over and barely warm. When I eat at a Southern Buffet, or any buffet, mashed potatoes is a staple, except for this buffet. The sweet tea was half and half....half tea, half water. Not a place I would recommend or visit again. read more

I have dined at stagecoach three times and I guess the first two times, by chance, lunched on a Friday. I was really impressed the fish, it was delicious, homemade fries, homemade coleslaw and other great items. Today I dined on a Monday and regret it. I thoroughly enjoy the home made fixins: french fries, coleslaw, vegetables, etc. Today everything was canned and warmed except for some kind of can corn that was fried in a skillet. The main meat items was fried chicken, baked chicken, roast beef all school cafeteria quality. So do I recommend stagecoach? , absolutely yes! just not on Mondays. I was told below is the following typical schedule a buffet items: Monday: avoid Tuesday: pork chops, hamburger steak Wednesday: fried shrimp Thursday: salmon patties Friday: fried fish Another bad report: the buffet table lights were out and you really couldn't see your food. The cleanliness of the store could be dramatically improved; replace the ceiling tiles please. What worries me when I go to a restaurant and the customers seating area is dirty, my mind starts to wonder what's behind the kitchen walls....... Oh I almost forgot you have to try the buttermilk pie! That one item is almost worth the price of the buffet. read more

Restaurants like this one used to dot the landscape of the United States. The food is so good, the people are so friendly, and the family atmosphere is like eating at your grandma's house (and boy can she cook!). Ignore the dated decor, the not so modern bathrooms and furnishings, because the food and service are so good it doesn't matter. On the buffet the fried chicken is by far the best you'll ever eat, and if you are lucky enough to get shrimp and grits, make sure you are seated when you eat it. You have to try the buttermilk pie with ice cream as it is truly a heavenly experience. This is a restaurant that should be on everyone's bucket list, and you'll want to go back and bring family and friends. read more

The food was great, call it soul food, southern comfort food, or farm food it was outstanding. The buffet service was quick. The interior was a bit dark and acoustics made it seem a bit loud. No fancy deco,r just grub and go but you will be full. read more

Good home cooked food and nice servers who make you feel at home, not that far off the Interstate and worth the short drive

I give it 3 stars because over all the people were nice and the food was good, but the inside of the building was a little rundown and in need of a lot of TLC read more

Overall tasty southern goodness. The staff was fun and very attentive with us as well as the regulars. The server recommended the fried chicken tenders and she was right! They do offer a buffet for lunch in a old stagecoach waggon which looked cute. But I suggest ordering from the menu because our chicken was hot and fresh. read more

Had lunch yesterday and it was great. Salmon patties and meatloaf just like my mom's. All sorts of great veggies and delicious desserts. Cabbage is awesome as are the fried green tomatoes. Some days they have fried okra and fried zucchini strips or fried squash. Menu varies with the day of the week, but any day is awesome Southern cooking! Oh, did I mention the variety of desserts? Don't miss this place. May 30 update. Collards today were out of this world. Rest of veggies and meats great, but collards won the day. If they were closer, we would eat there everyday ‼ read more

About 3 miles off of I-65 Stockton Exit, this restaurant is well worth the short detour. Their southern food is delicious and fresh, even off the buffet. They serve seafood and steak (we didn't get either), but their fried chicken, gravy and rice, fried okra, beans, and desserts were delicious. Buffet is affordable and worth it. After a week in New Orleans, it was nice to finally get some sweet tea with lunch. Locals definitely eat here. Not for those who are easily offended by frequent displays of religion. read more

It has taken me a minute to write this review. My family went to Stagecoach last Sunday for what we thought was going to be a wonderful lunch. Although the food was good the service was horrible. If you have any type of food allergies this wouldn't be a restaurant for you. My niece is allergic to eggs. Everywhere we go we have to ask if food items have egg in them or have been cook on the same surface as eggs. When we asked which foods may contain egg, we were told very rudely that they didn't know and if there was a chance just don't eat it. We were very stunned by the response because we have never had this type of response from any other place we have been. We spoke to the owner at the end of our visit. She was unapologetic and very rude giving excuse after excuse as to why she would not check to see what foods had egg. We asked about other food allergies and what she would say to those people. Her response "I would tell them to eat the green beans" and laughed. Food allergies can be serious and are nothing to joke about. We will not return to this restaurant but I felt it important to share our experience here so others with food allergies doesn't have to endure the rudeness of this owner and her employees. read more

I'm not in the area often, but when I am, I ALWAYS dine at Stagecoach. Stagecoach is Southern cooking at its best. Everything is amazingly good - just like your grandmother would prepare it! Their biscuits are my favorite. read more

The Black and Blue Burger is truly exceptional so we stop here every time we kayak in the delta! Awesome pretzel bun, HUGE juicy burger, sautéed onions, and bacon. The delicious homemade blue cheese sauce makes it perfectly creamy. Great price for a giant juicy burger! read more

Several meats, several veggies and bread, salad and desserts. All well prepared and tasty. Especially the fried chicken.

Great southern food for an affordable price. Highly recommend. Awesome peach cobbler and good fish. Inviting staff.

First time in this place and although food was very good it would've been nice to taste their crab cakes I longed for, when ordered the seafood platter we found out after served they run out of them. Maybe next year we come back we get to taste those crab cakes. read more

It's OK...Typical Southern buffet food. Nothing really to brag about. I got the Western Burger with bacon, cheese & BBQ sauce. NO SUBSTITUTIONS on anything. Service was a little slow but friendly. They prefer cash otherwise it's a 3.75% uncharge on plastic. I don't ever carry cash so...that's a negative for me and NO WIFI..I didn't even have cell service..that's a BIG negative. read more
