Apparently it is not important enough to service staff to understand what is like to have someone in your party that has a food allergy. The most important thing, is to have the ability to empathize with your guests, and make their experience a good one. If there is an issue with cross contamination in your kitchen, then create an area in the kitchen solely to address those with food allergy needs. For example, when your customer tells you the sprite has no flavor, you don't just come back and tell them it looks fine to me and everything is hooked up. Try tasting it yourself and at least bring a new cup of it to the table. Don't come back empty handed. Then there was the Crab Cakes. After all of the seafood places I have been to in the southeast I found these crab cakes to be just so so. If you are going to deep fry them, please understand that the crab meat will turn to the consistency of tuna salad and is not pleasant to eat whatsoever.
