Gem of a joint. Posh market bringing an elevated beachy aesthetic to a little section of Navarre beach. The outside grabbed me. Every time I drove by I was like, I gotta try this spot! We like to do the beach loop from Navarre to Pensacola beach. It cuts through the gulf island national seashore and is a majestic drive with water on either side of you. Stopping at the local is going to be a given now on this loop. We enjoyed iced lattes and my husband had the breakfast burrito. They had a really good menu. Lots of different items and espresso based coffees. I want to go back and try the chicken salad wrap. The place is redone and very clean. I didn't go upstairs, but I think it's a liquor store. The downstairs has your standard market fair but with fresh produce which is a plus! It also has cute locally made items like the candles I photographed and some body oils. I found the Crew working the day I went to be a little lackluster, but they still made us great drinks and a great burrito so I really can't complain. They also let me use the restroom when I spilled my iced latte all over my white T-shirt. Aye! So glad I found this place. They have great style and I truly enjoyed the vibe of this humble market! read more

The market is very nice and offers almost anything you might need/want from in the way of meals or snacks; they even have a sundries area. We love The Local. As Beach residents and a Pensacola Beach "local" myself, we enjoy the quaint "beachy" restaurants and stores that reside in our small community. The Local is especially great because they are "DOG" friendly (on leash) and have an outdoor patio seating area where our furry family members are welcome. Their staff is especially welcoming as they greet our girls whenever we visit and I so appreciate that. The store is small, nice, clean and offers everything a convenience store has but more.... including a coffee bar and a deli sandwich section where you can order your choice. There are also souvenirs downstairs and beach items. Upstairs is a liquor store with some select offerings as well as the norm. I particularly like the organic wines which are often hard to find. I go to Pensacola beach at least twice a year, and my biggest issue was that everything was so far away. Now that the Local has opened it is soooooo much more convenient. Everything you need for a beach vacation so close and easy. Liquor store, general store, and great sandwiches. I am looking forward to my next trip. read more

Great aesthetic, clean and tons of potential... pricey for what it is. Sandwiches not worth it. We got the ham and cheddar melt and the Italian. For a melt I would assume the sandwiches would be toasted in some way, not sure what they did but bread was not toasted at all and cheese was slightly melted kind of like they left it out in the hot sun.. nothing special about the sandwich good portion of meat but I would not buy it again. The Italian sandwich was definitely better flavor, however the deli meats were sliced way to thick.. prosciutto when properly sliced is paper thin and basically see through, this is done for easy consumption as prosciutto is a chewy, salty meat. I had to pull out all the prosciutto as it was to thick. We bought 2 pints of ice cream, 2 sandwiches, pesto sauce and a frozen dinner for 2. This was roughly $80 and to top it off the tip options were on the whole bill not just the sandwiches. Which I should have noticed but didn't. Staff is friendly, but will most likely not be going back. read more
