My wife's favorites are grouper Ruben sandwich, grilled shrimp salad and pecan pie. The service is very welcoming. Everyone gets greeted when they enter this cozy restaurant. My husband got the barbecue plate. He loved the burn ends and he did like the pulled pork, but he thought the ribs were a bit dry. Their blueberry barbecue sauce was good though, and I had the chipotle sauce and it was wonderful. I think the service is excellent for the type of service that they have you walk up and order and then they bring you your food and I'm absolutely fine with that. We sat outside and really enjoyed people. Watching in my glass of wine was a great pour. I had Savignon Blanc and it was really nice. I would go back again. I did try their grits on their sampler and it was wonderful so I might get that next time. We spoke with the people at the table next to us and they've been there many times and they really love it. Definitely a place worth trying.

So close to NYC but so far away too. Would recommend and will be back. The sandwiches were devoured by our guests as well as the sides.

When in Pensacola we always make it a point to visit The New Yorker. This visit we opted to sit on…read morethe deck for lunch as it was so pleasant outside. The deck is quite enjoyable for a number of reasons. It is shaded and surrounded by lush vegetation and it's much quieter than inside and more conducive to conversation, especially for folks like me who have profound hearing issues. Service is prompt and attentive here. We decided to share the hot pastrami on rye and the antipasto salad. As you can see from the pic the sandwich is ginormous. So good. The antipasto salad here is unlike any I've ever had in my 77 years! It is composed totally of Capicolla, Genoa, and cotto salami, pepperoni, provolone, Swiss and mozzarella cheese, green and black olives, and artichokes marinated in an Italian dressing. There is no lettuce as in all the antipasto salads I've had before. It is absolutely delicious. We were unable to finish our shared portions of the salad and took easily a whole half portion home to enjoy later. As I'm sure I've said before, there's a reason this store is always packed.

The veggies are super fresh, and the warm pita is my favorite menu item. * Bacon Avocado Club - 10/10 Hearty, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. * Lion's Mane Chimichurri Sandwich - 5/10 Flavor was great, but the mushroom texture was too chewy for me. * Sriracha Mac & Cheese - 10/10 Absolutely addicting. * Knuckle Sandwich - 8/10 Tasty, but not as filling as the club sandwich. Even my non-vegan friends love this place! Delicious food, good vibes, and a super friendly staff. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Not surprising though considering the lackluster lazy service on top of the horrible garbage food. Just because you get vegan food doesn't mean you want to eat flavorless, overly salty or oily food that tastes like ash. If you prefer to use words like rancid, inedible, unsalvageable, carbonized or say tastes like ash, it's beyond redemption/saving, tastes or has a charcoal bitter aftertaste, rubbery and charred, extremely oily or extremely salty for "good food" and like lacksadaisical customer service then you should go here.
