We decided to give this place a try based on positive reviews. We have been looking for a good coffee place. The girl that took my order was very helpful in getting the account set up. Alex on the other hand is the reason for this review. We ordered one coffee black and the other with cream on the side. When I opened the cup and saw how much room was left in the cup I assumed that was the one with the room for cream. When my partner opened her cup there was cream in hers so she went back up to see if she could get a black one like she ordered. He was very rude saying he didn't take the order and was just trying to see what the problem was and I'll remake it angrily. When my partner thanked him as he handed her the new cup he gave her a dirty look and just turned around and walked away. Maybe he's having a bad morning but it wasn't a good first impression sadly because the place is so cute and we really liked the selection. read more

Such a cool shop and has a drive thru which is always a plus. I order the Temptation coffee and the Berry Energy to drink, both super good. Food we ordered cheese danish (it was good), egg bites (little over cooked, waffle sandwich (really good), and cup of fruit (overpriced). Love this place, great service, and addicted to their large iced Funky Monkey. It is delicious. It was the first one I ordered there, and I am a very picky coffee drinker. Highly recommend them; coffee is expensive to begin with no one wants to pay for bad coffee. I go to the one at 6700 North Davis Hwy. My baby peanut is also a fan of their pup cup. I have been coming to Pensacola for work for about 3 years now- I had Coffee Guy Cafe on my first visit and have come every time since! It's my morning ritual- I love the variety they have and appreciate how many sugar free specialty drinks they have. My favorite and my go-to is the iced Snickerdoodle- sooooo good!!! They also have food options and baked goods. The cake display is amazing- I would order it more often if I wasn't trying to be a healthy eater haha! What a cute concept! An eyeglass store and coffee cafe! The location in the west side of Davis highway is the newer location of the two and it is so cute and unique. You walk in and are greeted by the aroma of coffee and an eye glass store. Anna and Leah were very helpful in recommendations and providing information about the cafe. This specific location has a neat underground element that is great for a quaint quiet space. I order a hot Honey, I Love You latte (honey and lavender) and my husband ordered an iced Pumpkin Spiced latte with Pumpkin Cold brew. Each created with taste in mind. This is BIG coffee likened to big pharma. The place is all flash but low quality. Returned my drip coffee and got an americano and still terrible. Looking for a do over. No vegan options. The "New York bagels" looked like Sysco brand and they use Almond breeze for "almond" milk. That stuff has like 3 almonds in the whole carton. Just terrible quality stuff but looks like the people come for the fanciness. Never again! read more

They won't let you change anything on the menu. Which is ridiculous when I'm asking for is a different kind of syrup and they are snarky about it. And if you get a bagel, they won't put the cream cheese. You have to do it in the car, which is awkward. I'm taking my business to a more flexible place. read more

What an interesting concept. An eyeglass shop with a coffee shop, but it works. We ordered our drinks and browsed through the products they sell. Shirts and coffee mugs were cute. Love the big hot coffee cup outside. That caught our attention while driving by so great marketing. Coffee was good in flavor, and I drink coffee black. After giving us all of our food and drinks, we stood there, still waiting, and I noticed they were wondering why and realized they forgot to give us one more item, which was on the side. No biggie. Cute coffee shop with high carbs options! Coffee has excellent flavor and service was very nice. Lots of delicious looking cakes to choose from. I was really trying to watch my carbs and saw a sandwich with an egg and I think it was sausage. I asked if I could just have like two eggs and they said no. We absolutely LOVE the Coffee Guy Cafe!! We don't live in the area and would always see the sign when we were cross the street at Whataburger (also doesn't exist where we live), so we finally decided to check out the menu and then just had to give it a try the next day. Boy are we glad we did! I don't eat any sugar regularly, so it's amazing you can get almost any drink sugar free! Over the next few days we were in town we tried a bevy of beverages, including: The iced I Love You, the frozen s'mores, banana pudding, hot peppermint, iced Velma, and Superman (not available sugar free) for my son. We loved them all! We also visited both locations and both were equally as good with the drinks as the other. This particular visit happened to fall on my birthday, and they offer buy one get one free cake slices, so I did cheat on the sugar free diet to try a bite of them. We did the cookies and cream cake and the strawberry cake. My family (who ate the majority of them) loved both! They also tried to lemon stuffed blueberry muffin and liked that too. I will say the newer location had a better selection of baked goods than the original location. Not sure if it's because of the amount of orders each receives or just so happened they got a shipment the day we tried the newer location, but I did find it interesting, especially since they are right across the street from each other. Either way, both locations had phenomenal drinks and very friendly and helpful staff who were both kind and patient helping me order all of the drinks sugar free. I travel to Pensacola monthly for work, and since I order out a lot I like to try to find places that are consistently good. This is one of those places. This is my second time ordering from Coffee Guy Cafe. Both times I have ordered the sausage, egg and cheese bagel along with the cinnamon roll latte and an order of waffle minis. Yummy. The breakfast bagel is an everything bagel; soft, warm with a sausage patty, egg patty and cheese. Very filling. Even after the delay for delivery, everything was still warm and the bagel did not become too chewy. The waffle minis are just that, mini waffles. They come with syrup and are dusted in powdered sugar. Just that little something to enjoy with your coffee. And, let's talk about the coffee. There are a number of appealing coffee choices, but I really enjoy this cinnamon roll latte, and I love that you can customize it with added espresso, choices in milk and sweeteners, and especially that they have sugar free options. Yeah, and that double shot espresso keeps me going all day long. I'll definitely order from here again... maybe for a chicken salad something and a refresher for that mid-day pick me up! read more

3 people in line, 3 people working. One of the people deciding to fill the muffins. No one literally no one paying attention to the people in line. No greeting. No nothing. I finally had to say something and the young man just kept working. The woman walked by me with the muffins, and the other woman said give us a second. I'm super disappointed with this place. There seemed to be a complete lack of interest in the customer. Well, this place looks like a very interesting place to have coffee. It didn't seem interested in the customers as the one woman who was filling the muffins instead decided to go back by the counter, grab her drink, which I'm assuming the other employee made for her to drink it and then go work the window, and not even say a word to the customers. I'm active duty military and came in on Veterans Day with a buddy and Hailey was the barista who took our order. She blessed us with a random act of kindness and she paid for our order out of her own pocket! We tried to protest, but she was faster to tap the POS machine. I have to admit that I initially wanted to visit this coffee shop because I was amused with how the logo resembled Guy Fieri! This shop is at the crossroads of N Davis Hwy & E Burgess Rd. It's hard to miss the white coffee cup on the building that's billowing steam! There's ample free parking here. If you want a quick coffee, there's a Drive-Thru! They are strong in the Coffee Guy Gear (merchandise) game ... drinkware, hats, and t-shirts. I ordered a large Cappuccino with an extra shot. It was a nice cup o' joe! I sat in one of the comfy plush chairs while using their free Wi-Fi to search out more things on my phone. There are electrical outlets for you to plug in your electronics. I love the seat backs on the bar-height chairs, they are in the shape of coffee cups with handles. Nice touch! In Pensacola for work on nightshifts, having this spot across from my hotel was a dream! Walked in around 6pm to grab some snacks and coffee - the line was pretty long, I was surprised for it being the evening with plenty of people using the tables to (what it looked like) study. Huge assortment of pastries, full slices of cake, and sandos - I wish I had more time to try everything! I ended up getting some kind of pumpkin coffee because it was October, it was fantastic. Not too sweet for being a festive drink and the XL (or whatever the largest size was) was perfect for the 12 hours I had ahead of me. I grabbed a yogurt parfait as I was attempting to be healthier and I think I recall getting something sweet as well. I think many remember Sharon Weiss and her infamous Mary Callender review on the pumpkin pie that was left in the oven for most of Thanksgiving day (if you don't, google it). Looks like Sharon is cooking for Coffee Guy these days! Two orders of spinach and feta egg bites and a tasteless and extremely watered down Gingerbread Iced Latte came out the window. One order of egg bites came out looking normal and one...well Sharon Weiss's attempt at a boxed pie. The barista said feebly that it was cooked from frozen and should be ok? In a hurry, we left. Of course, it tasted like burnt cinders you'd find after a camp fire. When a business table pounds about how we great they are and allegedly have awards suggesting the same, one expects better. Stopped here because Starbucks was few and far between in Pensacola. They have an interesting menu of smoothies, coffee, tea, and a mix of pastries. That made it a good stop for the car full of picky people that accompanied me. I had a cafe latte and bagel and my kids shared an XL smoothie. The cafe latte was good and I appreciate the staff allowing me to put my own cream cheese on the bagel. My intention with the XL smoothie was to allow my 16-year-old and 6-year-old to share but it really wasn't that big. Unfortunately, I think the smoothie was water-based and not juice based, so it didn't have a great flavor despite it being a Tropical blend.
