What a terrific place. Truly exceptional coffee selection - exotic sources and various roast levels from which to choose. Decor is lovely and eclectic, and the room is bathed in local art for sale. Great connection to the community. I had a pour over that took a little while but worth the wait. I didn't try the food but it all looked amazing. Only downside might be that the staff were a little transactional though not totally unfriendly. Just no one smiled. Sort of what you'd expect from that major chain that no one likes. Might have been a busy morning. ? Everyone has those sorts of days. I will definitely be back. read more

All of the above!!! Love the vibe. Chill. An eclectic & unique find. Artsy hobo chic with positive professional service. Enjoyed the chocolate croissant and the grilled cheese is the best bar none. Grab a menu while standing in line so to expedite ordering. It goes without saying that the coffee is delicious!!!! read more

Quality service- i know first thing in the morning during coffee rush's people can be real intense and everytime (3x lol) I've come inside or drive thru they have been nothing but kind and refreshing. The drinks are always amazing that's why I am slowly trying to taste all of their seasonal menu (so good). But really come back if the vibe of the place feels right. Props especially to my last drive thru experience (girl with curly brown hair and a green top) just top tier service. I felt appreciated and again... the drinks are so good and creative. I haven't found my go to drink yet but they've made it a fun journey along the way. This is not a rush to order kinda place so come here when you have time to sit and enjoy or time to wait patiently. It's worth it every time. read more

Alla Prima Coffee Roaster - Sticky pudding and it's amazing. It's not overly sweet and you can appreciate the coffee taste - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Pensacola, Florida

The Coffee shop is an absolute gem! The owner is extremely pleasant and welcoming. Also, Their coffee is top north, especially since they roast their beans right there in the shop which I really appreciate as a customer and coffee enthusiast. I love that they have a little gallery of local art and knitted goods for sale, too. It's the coziest spot, perfect for reading a book, chatting with friends, or just hanging out with family and playing games. I can't recommend it enough! read more

Alla Prima Coffee Roaster - Perfectly made Pour-over with milk on the side - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Pensacola, Florida

Cute coffee shop located in downtown Pensacola! The baristas are friendly, knowledgeable, and make excellent recommendations. All of their syrups are made in house. I want to mention they do not offer a sugar free syrup at the moment. There is ample seating with nice set ups for both social gatherings or quiet moments alone. There are also books available if you are interested in passing time. I like that Alla Prima offers a loyalty program and a drive-through service. Overall, it's a nice coffee shop with amazing drinks and ample seating. I discovered this coffee shop due to being invited to an event taking place. Now that I've tried a few of their menu items I can say I would definitely visit again! read more

We were excited to try this new coffee shop! The ambience is relaxed with jazz softly playing in the background. There's unique furniture to sit it and beautiful art you can admire and purchase! The service is really fast and friendly. We enjoyed a Brazilian drip coffee with a butter croissant. My husband had the blueberry muffin. The coffee was very good. I did enjoy the heated butter croissant. My husband thought his muffin was a day old, kinda dry. I read a previous Yelp whom also had reservations about the muffins being out and uncovered right next to the registers. This also got my attention and made me apprehensive. I would also advise some kind of cover or sneeze shield. It's a nice establishment with a great cup of strong coffee! read more

A unique vintage style coffee shop with the best tasting coffee in Pensacola! I tried the classic black drip style coffee, the honey/lavender/thyme latte, and the cinnamon roll pastry. I was crazy about all of them. The black drip coffee was very smooth, zero bitterness and a good flavor. Although I'm not in love with thyme, I was really impressed with the lavender thyme coffee, which is what I'll be getting next time. The pastry was soft, moist, fell apart in your hands, and everything I'd hope it would be. The actual shop is very unique, it's like going into a Time Machine back in the 20s or 30s, even the music is vintage. The bathrooms are clean, and the service is excellent. The barista explained how all of the unroasted green coffee beans are kept in oak barrels for 3-6 months, then are roasted in-house and sold - which is why the coffee is so good. The biggest criticism from my wife, which is very minor, is not having 2% or skim milk available for the coffees to make it healthier, but otherwise couldn't be better. You will either have to walk 10 minutes from palafox to get here or take a short drive, but it will be worth it. Can't wait to go back. read more

Love this place! Great coffee warm cool people. Relaxed environment to either work or chat. Also cool things from local artists!

How have I never been to this place!? A hidden gem just a few blocks from downtown Penscola/Palafox street! Seriously might be the best coffee I've had in Pensacola. I've seen their stuff being sold at stores around the area but didn't know they had an actual coffee shop! The espresso was perfect and the service was lovely. We will be back!! read more

Alla Prima Coffee Roaster - staff recommended - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Pensacola, Florida

Alla Prima Cofee Roasters is a local coffee shop in Pensacola, FL that offers straight artsy vibes and coffee passion. This coffee shop offers house crafted coffees, specialty drinks, coffee beans, locally made pastries, and in store merch. Drinks: 4.5/5 Food: 2/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 I am personally not a big coffee drinker, but am a matcha connoisseur. I ordered their seasonal Sage Matcha Latte and THOROUGHLY enjoyed it! It was absolutely amazing. The flavor combination of the matcha with the sage was an unexpected yet fabulous surprise! The floral tones with the earthy matcha was absolutely complimenting. Although the drink was chefs kiss, it was pricey. It also had a HUGE block of ice, which made it pretty, however I felt like it was just stole space in my cup that should've been used towards my $8 drink. It made it kind of made me feel dissatisfied bcs it was a huge chunk of ice in an expensive drink. I would've preferred crushed ice or a block like half the size. If they want to be unique, I'd recommend matcha ice cubes. The look doesn't need to outweigh the quantity. I personally feel like the food can be improved. I was told that it was locally produced from a bakery near by. I tried their warmed up butter croissant. It was not my favorite, but okay! I used to live in France, so I'm picky with my pastries. I like it flaky. I think it could taste more fresh if the pastries were actively covered. I also think a sneeze guard is necessary to help protect the pastries from finger touches and germs. I mentioned this to the barista! It not being covered made me very uncomfortable due to potential germs. The ambiance is amazing! It has a very unique vintage feel which is perfect for studying and getting work done. They offer free wifi. TIP: There aren't that many outlets, so keep that in mind! Also, I saw the owner have a private art class and that is so freaking cool! The service is also nice. The barista, Olivo, was helpful in educating me on coffee. You can see their genuine passion! I love that and they gave me great recommendations. I also shared my feedback as they just recently opened! I'm sure they will only get greater and greater and I look forward to it! read more

The coffee is excellent quality and the pastries are really good, but they're like $9 for a croissant or $10 for a jumbo cinnamon roll. The cinnamon looked delicious, but sadly that's just too expensive for my budget. read more

I stopped in here, and I'm very late to the party as this writing goes. I found the establishment and took a few moments to admire the decor and atmosphere of the place, which gave off a friendly and welcoming vibe. I adore small businesses, as they have a charm that no corporate place could ever achieve. The individuality of the business owner definitely shined through here. I tried a coffee and a croissant, both of which were fantastic! When trying a new coffee, I tend to drink it black (though cream and sweetener are my preference) so I can gauge the true flavor of it. You can't really judge it unless you taste it on its own. This coffee was strong, but not overbearing. It maintained its smooth flavor without tasting burned. It's clear they know what they're doing in their roasting process, as the coffee doesn't have any of that burned taste that you get when beans are over roasted. I thought it was pretty awesome, as black coffee goes. The Croissant was also quite amazing! (and I wish I had taken a photo of it, but was absent minded about it that day.) She heated it up in the oven which gave it a nice buttery crispness, while evenly warm and soft on the inside. The young lady who served me, I think she was the owner, was very polite and while our conversation was short, she was nice enough to make me want to return there. Since I saw a ton of other options, I can't wait to go and try them again! read more

So we drove back into town after our weekend in Brewton, Alabama for the Brewton Witch's Ride to help raise money for charity, and decided to stop by Alla Prima's Yelp Elite Event to try them out. We were glad that we did! Alla Prima is offering RSVP'd Elites a free drip coffee and a butter croissant to get us to try them out. Both were super delicious! Special thanks for serving my guest (wife) as an Elite, which she isn't currently. We were prepared to pay for hers, but instead we bought 45 dollars of coffee and tea to make up for it. We wanted the items anyways, so don't be fooled into thinking we are that noble, and did it just for the payback. The coffee is very good. It was mild with little, to no bitterness to it at all. I prefer espresso based coffee but this was good for a change. I drink a lot of cold brew at home and in part it is because it eliminates most of the bitterness too. I mean I like espresso drinks so bitterness is not a problem, but for just sipping on, I like less bite. The bitter espresso coffee is what wakes me up in the am. Anyways, I will be back for the espresso later. I work downtown so between patients it will not be a problem. I don't know if they prepare their own croissants or if they come from elsewhere. What I can tell you that it was perfectly baked, flaky and buttery. I didn't feel like I needed anything else added to it. I ate every bit of it! I definitely will try some of their other pastries in the future. Just looking around I did not see a lot of savory pastries, I actually didn't see any other than the croissants we had. I don't really eat sweets. Not a big deal. I don't eat breakfast often. Just give me my double macchiato and I am fine! We really dug the atmosphere here too. It is very eclectic so lots of mishmash of furniture and furnishings. The art on the walls is for sale and I liked some of the pieces so much I thought of purchasing them, and might have if my wife was as enthusiastic as I was. I did have one burning question. Where are patrons supposed to park? One possible area behind the building said "Do Not Enter", which I suppose may have been the exit for the drive thru. The lot behind the building looks to be completely reserved for Salon San Carlos. There could be some spots on the street, but I don't think any parking spots exist in front of the building and down the street was all taken. This might be a problem for a weekday. We will see. This makes the drive thru more appealing. I have to say that this little coffee shop is a wonderful addition to our downtown java scene. I am looking forward to going back. Thanks for the Yelp mugs! read more

I live right across the street, so I frequent this coffee shop. They are amazing! The quiche and biscuits and gravy (on Sat and Sun) are some of my favorite food items. The coffee is really good and they have some cool options if you're feeling adventurous. I've only gotten to dine in a couple of times, but the vibe in there is cool and calm. They also sell local artists work which is awesome. Most importantly, all of the staff here is super kind and friendly, which makes a big difference! 10/10 recommend this place. read more

Great neighborhood coffee shop that is away from the busyness of Palafox. Cute ambiance inside and a drive through if you're in a hurry!

Sometimes I get the best matcha latter ever and other times I'm basically just drinking oat milk. For $11 I feel like there should be much more consistency. Staff & environment are super sweet. But sometimes this place feels like a rip off. read more

My husband and I recently discovered this cute coffee place near our house! Our first two experiences were awesome! Great coffee, great service. My third experience was not so great. I waited at the drive thru window for 10 minutes and didn't see an employee one time. I called while waiting to make sure the drive thru was even open and they told me it was, but they were really busy inside and had only 2 baristas. I understand that this can happen, my recommendation is just to close the drive thru down during busy times if you don't have the man power to run it so people aren't left confused and waiting forever. 3 cars ended up driving off. I'll still be back, just bummed by this experience. read more

A legitimate coffee roaster and cafe! I love all things coffee and appreciate others who share my passion. The barista was friendly and had no problem answering all of my questions. Their espresso is smooth, tasty, has the mouth-feel I like. My wife enjoys their latte's and just loves the cinnamon bun. I believe it's made with croissant dough which gives it a unique texture. Its a clean and welcoming cafe and it's only a few blocks from downtown which is convenient if you need to drive through or park for free along the roadside. read more
