Only place to eat within 15 miles of Baker Florida on a Sunday afternoon and talk about an awesome culinary experience! BEST BBQ in NW Florida. The Ribs and the Pulled Pork are to die for...seriously. The Family Pride of Ownership and BBQ Pitmaster experience is obvious. Outside dining only and that was fine with us... Wow...stopped mainly for the produce stand and boiled peanuts but my husband wanted the BBQ... What a great surprise on both accounts. My husband had the chicken sandwich and a pork slider. Also, ordered a rack of ribs to take with us. The bbq was amazing! This is a great place and it is in the middle of no where but we will always stop coming and going to FL. We happened to pass this place on the way back home from Destin. It's a must stop for great BBQ. We had a rib plate with beans and potato salad. Everything was delicious. The next time we head that direction, we will definitely plan a stop here for lunch. read more

The experience starts right when you open the door. The proper wood smell draws you in. The friendly greeting to all who step on the deck. Apparently, this is "award winning." Here's what's good about this place...location. Backwoods of Florida. Nothing else around. The set up is very nice. Cabin like with fresh produce stand on the right. Plenty of parking. Park like setting. Here's the bad...no smokers. No smell of smoke. How do you claim award winning bbq and you don't have any smokers??? Must be prepared off site or prepared in an oven. The brisket had no smoke ring, was overdone, and tasted like a flip flop. I couldn't eat it. It was served on a very dense corn meal dusted, hard, dry bun. I don't eat bread, so this wasn't a big deal to me. However, my wife said that her pulled chicken sandwich was more bun than chicken. The ribs were re-heated and slathered in sauce. The sauce wasn't bad, but I ordered it with no sauce. I was shocked at the 5 star reviews. No way. If you need a bite that'll fill that gnawing in your belly until you reach civilization, then this stop will do that. But, get it out of your mind that it's award winning. It's pot luck good at best. read more

I was actually very suprised how good this place was. I got the ribs and they were terrific, The pork is also good and most of the stuff comes with good sides. Wagon Wheel BBQ is as good as it gets when you are hungry for great barbecue. It is a small roadside diner, mostly take out business with a few tables under the covered porch. I love the chicken, brisket, and pulled pork. The Alabama white sauce(you have to ask for it) and the pepper vinegar are delicious.

I'm a hard core bbq guy. I travel throughout the southeast. Love to roll the dice on "hole in the wall" places. This is worth the stop. Enjoyed the chatt with the owner (never got his name). He makes all his sauces, by the way they were great. Surprise in his sauce selections: Carolina mustered, vinegar, original, hot all his own recipe. I love a good brisket, but most miss the mark in my book. This guy knows how to make a great brisket. They are Only open Thursday's, Friday's Saturday don't think Sunday. He had just started serving on Thursdays and only have chips for an option for sides. He has not been open long ( less than a year) but his heart is all in! I'm traveling on family vacation to Panama City beach soon and will drive a little out of the way to visit again! read more

We were passing through Escambia Farms on our way to Destin and stopped for brisket. A friend had told us how fabulous the brisket was and he was right...Best Ever!!! We tried the white sauce which the owner makes and loved it. Our sides were potato salad and baked beans which were fresh and good. We ended up buying a slab of ribs to take with us.
