Such a great dinner for my birthday!! The food was amazing, and our server was so knowledgable and helpful. We will definitely come back, and we were down visiting from CT. read more

Amazing food, service, prices, and ambiance! This new Italian spot opened up in my neighborhood and did not disappoint. Perfect for a date night will definitely be coming back frequently! read more

We went to Camillo on a Friday night after my friend flew in to town to visit. There was a wait, but the staff were extremely accommodating. Once we sat, I had an amazing Rosemary Spritz. I order the Gnocchi and honestly, it might be my most favorite Italian gnocchi I've ever had. It was so good, I still think about it. I live pretty far away from the area, but will make the trek down to have it again. I wanted to try their Olive Oil cake but unfortunately they had run out. I had a Cannoli to finish my night which was nice, but a bit dry. Overall, really amazing food. read more

Great service! Booze was great, delicious cocktails and their dessert drinks were on point. The pizza has great crust but the toppings are a bit disappointing. To me, it seems as if they just threw something together without considering the taste. Like broccoli rabe should be cooked beforehand. We ordered 5 different pizza to share and 1 gnocchi. The pizzas were fine. The gnocchi was actually quite bad. Oh their appetizers were great! So yes, a bit hot or miss. read more

The Coda alla Vaccinara (fresh pappardelle pasta, oxtail braised with celery, tomatoes, garlic & cloves) was delicious, as were the drinks. I was surprised the bar was so packed and required reservations in this up-and-coming area. Big plus on the decor, which is warm, cozy and tasteful. The service is also fantastic as well. read more

Well prepared food. I miss it during this health crisis. Very personable staff - they make you feel welcome and comfortable, which is important to me; it's not just about the food: Nice ambience. Good drinks as well! read more

I wouldn't travel to this place, but if you live in the neighborhood it's worth stopping by. The pizza was fine, but the service was kind of annoying. The server was constantly at our table interrupting us for something or another. And for some reason she decided that the best place for passing all items to our table was above my baby's head (no other babies at the table). It truly made no sense and was kind of dangerous. I give the experience a "meh." read more

I went to Camillo by myself and i was a little suspect about the authentic Italian food and pizza but they surprised me..i took a buffalo mozzarella (woooow) cacio e pepe (incredible) capricciosa pizza(amazing) and pistacchio cake(a dream) so food 5 stars..about service Filippo take care of me and that was a big touch he explain me every plate on the menu and he suggest me the orange wine(so fucking good)he told me all the story how they made a orange wine..it's was very professional..i can say Big Filippo..service 5 stars...I'll came back for sure.. read more

Good food (loved the Buffala pinsa), wonderful atmosphere. Next time I'll try the Negroni cocktails.

Great! Really enjoyed our dinner here. The appetizer salad, Insalata di Cicoria, was great, and so was the Fritto Misto w/ chicken. Had a couple of tasty, unique drinks from the bar, and very reasonable price for a bottle of wine (under $30 in brooklyn!). Our Vegetarian and Margherita Pinsas were delicious. The kids liked it too. 5 stars! read more

If you live in Flatbush or the Prospect Lefferts Gardens area do yourself a favor and check this place out, it's everything you'd want in a neighborhood restaurant. The staff was on point and let us enjoy our time, while also refilling what could be the best boulevardier I've had in my almost decade of living here. The chicken liver with jam was an incredible start of umami to the meal, and the bechamel lasagne they serve up is definitely top of my long list of best in the city. Will be back again, hopefully not tomorrow if I can fight the urge for just. one. more. boulevardier. read more

Great house wine, cheap and plentiful! The food, at best, is fine, not great. I had the mozzarella and tomato last weekend and it was completely tasteless, as well as the funghi pinsa. The most flavorful item was the chicken liver mousse. Unlike most restaurants with mediocre food, i'm willing to give this place another chance (the wine!) read more

We had dinner over the weekend at one of our hometown favorites. Great restaurant. Yum.

Went last night. Just fantastic. Top service, nice unpretentious vibe and decor. Wonderful food. Got one of the Roman pizzas, a salad and a pasta to share. Was actually too much food. Would have been fine without the (very good) pasta. The salad was huge. Everything was fantastic. Great wine on tap and the famous olive oil cake is not to be missed. The service was perfect and friendly. It was a great value: too much good food (and a lot of wine) for ~$80. I almost never write reviews but this is a terrific spot and a real stand-out in the area. The nearest restaurants that can compare are on Franklin Avenue which is 20 mins walk away. This is the best restaurant within a mile all around and we're looking forward to going here a lot. read more

It was my birthday and had always wanted to go to Camillo -- we had the artichoke hearts ... and caponata... and burrata salad to start, then 2 pizzas and the lasagna ... AMAZING! Service was excellent, cocktails (Negronis) were delicious and fresh, and everything from start to finish was just delicious. HIGHLY recommended!!! read more

Cozy place, food, service and prices are just great. Traditional Roman menu, I must admit it's pretty authentic (I'm from Rome). I highly suggest this new spot read more

What a great spot that just opened in my neighborhood! Quality food, great selection of wine and welcoming staff. Me and my significant other have been back every week since they opened and we never leave disappointed. Amazing job! read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn. Very nice ambiance, very good food, and great cocktails. I came recently with a pretty large party, and Camillo was more than accommodating. One of my sisters has a serious gluten allergy, but they had gluten free pasta and pinsa, and they made a special pasta for my other sister who is vegan. I particularly love the carciofi alla giudia - I'll certainly be coming back. read more

Service really makes or breaks an experience, and unfortunately the food was not good enough to make up for the hostile and unaccommodating server. I was snapped at when I reminded him I asked for bread after about 10 mins. I was also never asked how my food was or if i need anything. he seemed to be stressed out but that's no excuse to be unkind and dismissive. A servers job isn't just to put food on the table, but to make guests feel at home after a long day. read more

been here twice now and both times the food and service were great, staff is super friendly

Great new addition to the neighborhood! This place serves up some awesome ambiance, solid Italian food, and delicious wine. The service was good. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here, and will be back for more! read more

I've lived in the neighborhood for almost a year now, and have been to Camillo at least 7 times. I've loved almost every dish I've ordered, and the portions/pricing are fair. While the food is good, that's not the only reason I return over and over. It's just a lovely place, not overly fancy, but good quality with a great vibe. Everyone is welcome and on any given night you see everything from couples on a date to groups of friends celebrating to families enjoying a meal together. This is the kind of restaurant that every New Yorker wants in their neighborhood. I hope they stay in mine for a long time! read more

Went here on a Sunday night .. not a bad atmosphere however one of the staffers have a bad vibe .. to be frank, he was just weird lol . He just shows up out of no where standing behind my chair .. didn't even introduced himself and nor had a smile on his face. That was a turnoff. Anyway, I was starving and decided to ordered the Baccala in Umido which says it was a big plate.. so I ask the weird staffer does big plate mean family style or is it just a huge portion. He said it's a shareable plate, I said ok and ordered it anyway. When our order was on its way over, I kept looking for the "big plate of food" and was disappointed to see it was just a plate that was big. Lmaooo Like what?!?? To keep it simple , the dish was just sliced potatoes drowned in tomato sauce with a very thin slice of fish on top .. nicely presented but zero flavor what's so ever... in the end service was ok.. if I was to ever return it would just be for the pizza! read more

We went here for our grandson's first birthday. Could have been a nightmare for us and other diners, but it turned out to be a great experience. The ambiance is subdued and pleasant, and looks adult, which is great. The staff is helpful and friendly without being obnoxious. While the sound level is fine and things are reasonably quiet, there were lots of other diners with kids, so despite this looking like a cool place for adults to go, they knew how to deal with kids. I have kids, I have grandkids, but I am SO not a fan of "family dining." These guys at Camillo get it right (But if your kid tends to scream and be obnoxious -- you know who you are -- please do stay away). We had a great meal, the advertised Roman food did not disappoint, Roman baby fried artichokes like in Trastevere, anchovies on bread, and pizzas (plus other foods we plan to try another time) were all great. The birthday boy did well (sharing pappardelle and ragu with his dad, as well as some fried artichoke, and pizza) and we all enjoyed the experience. We will be back. read more

Fantastic roman restaurant. Reliably awesome food with a good list of Negronis. My go-to option for a Saturday or when visitors are in the neighborhood. read more

So great to have a local restaurant like this. Pizza (pinsa) is great, as are the pasta dishes. I've been with my kids (on the early dinner side) and it feels like a family-friendly restaurant. I've also enjoyed a reasonably-priced and delicious negroni! Thanks for coming to our area, Camillo! read more

Because I lived in Rome for years, learning about the imminent opening of a restaurant with Roman cuisine just a block and a half from where I live was a tantalizing prospect. Today I tried it for the first time, and I was transported back to a city that I love without having to spend hours on a plane. The alici e burro appetizer was a great combination of textures and flavors, the abbacchio alla romana was fork tender and super-delicious, and the panna cotta was an excellent dessert. Beautiful space + excellent service + delicious food = I will be back! read more

Terrific food! Very cute atmosphere! This was some of the best pasta I've had since I'd been Italy. Will 10/10 be back

We love this place -- have been coming once a week since we moved to the neighborhood. Sit at the bar, order a rye negroni, the salad with almonds and grapes, the cacio pepe or a pizza, and the divine ice cream truffle dessert. Service is warm and thoughtful. Camillo is lovely! read more

Food here is delicious! i love it...so close to my apt and also so good. the prices are reasonable. i love the carbonara. but the polenta is good too. ive been here 4-5 times now. the first time i went, we ordered a margherita pizza and bottle of wine. that was not good. so dont order that pizza if you are on a deliciousness quest. the pasta dishes are top notch. they have a good beer/wine selection and are nice about letting you try some samples. will def be back. i think im gonna try to make this place my sunday night dinner place--with friends or solo! read more

pizza: good service: amazing setting: beautiful atmosphere: calm gnocchi: burnt, weak attempt to be unique, sausage option = 2 crumbs of sausage, overall 1/10 read more

We left really happy and full after a late dinner last night. Good Italian food is very hard to find in this part of Brooklyn, but I think their food will hold up well even in an area with more Italian restaurants (I'm from Providence, so I think I can say this) Fiancé was very happy with his gnocci: a different style than your usual potato gnocci, they are softer and larger pieces baked with tomato sauce. I enjoyed the carbonara very much, the fresh pasta and guanciale were delicious. (just wish that there were a bit less olive oil, there were a layer of oil left in the plate when I finished the dish) Since the pasta were good we then ordered the pizza as well. They do a Roman version of pizza which has a thin, crispy crust with lovely chewiness. Mind you that the serving is a bit small in American standards, but in my opinion this is the correct portion. It leaves room for appetizers and desserts. No one needs to eat a full pound of pasta that Cheesecake Factory gives you. Bonus: house red was pretty tasty and very reasonable at $7. read more

Delicious food! Everything was made so well. I was excited to see a place like this in the neighborhood, but some of the other new places have underwhelmed me. This place didn't disappoint. Quality that could hold its own in Manhattan, but since it's in PLG the prices are so reasonable. We ate really well and didn't break the bank. Great place to take family in town or friends that don't live in the area. The table ordered a little bit of everything, some appetizers, pizza, pasta, espresso. All of it was great! The cocktails were also so reasonably priced and good. Negronis are their specialty, but I prefer a good manhattan. We didn't bother making a reservation, but on a Friday night this place was packed and had a 30 minute wait. Happy to see a new restaurant doing so well so quickly. read more

Great experience at Camillo . Had the cacio e Pepe pasta which is fantastic and the Pinsa was great as well with Artichoke and Olives , unlike any style I've had before , the staff is also very Warm and friendly not to mention a great wine selection . Will Def be returning read more

This place is awesome. Food and service are extraordinary. The place is quiet, great for group conversations. The carbonara was so good...

The pinza/pizza was amazing. Best crust I have ever had anywhere in my whole life. The owners made you feel welcomed. They seemed genuinely happy to be doing what they were doing. Appreciated that the diversity of patrons. read more

Ordered two pasta dishes and the panchetta for delivery. Overall the food was ok but for the price, it's not worth it. The portion was really small and it wasn't hot. I definitely won't order delivery again and am in no hurry to eat here in person. read more

Awesome service and ambience. The food was amazing. Truly authentic Italian restaurant and wines are well priced. They even have some Italian beers which is cool. Would highly recommend ! Staff is very attentive too. read more

Most excellent in every conceivable way! Everything on the menu is perfectly prepared and outstanding. The only problem I have is that the goat is actually too incredible as it makes it impossible for me to go there and not order it which in turn forces me to invade my wife and family member's plates with a heavy hand and fork. Perhaps this is a throw-back to my ancient Roman origins... We have enjoyed Italian food and pizza both stateside and in Italy and Camillo ranks with the very best of them! And if you don't believe me, go ask Romulus and Remus, they'll tell you. read more
