Dropped into the Frederick store the day before our crab feast to personally place our order. Pickup was scheduled for 3:30 the next day. Got to the store at 3:25 for pickup, store was empty and I was told to wait a few minutes. After 15 minutes, the fellow at the counter said it would be 30 minutes. Other people were now stacking up for orders. Finally they started filling the small orders. Our two bushels along with three other people who had ordered bushels were told "that's what happens". These folks couldn't care less about customer service. They seriously need some competition. On top of that, some crabs were mushy and they were barely of legal size. I will not return and will drive to Baltimore instead - it will take about the same amount of time! Too bad because we used to be regular customers at the Rockville store. read more

Could not give it a zero. Ordered #1 males on the special; received mix of 1s and 2s. Many were light and some mushy - almost like leftovers. Called and complained and Lito told us they didn't have any #1s when we got ours. Mad me mad that we were told they were 1s and they weren't. Went back to the store complaining and the guy says he wants to see the shells! They were 40 miles away in the trash. I suggested he give half back as all weren't bad. He wanted to see the shells. What a DF. We left in a huff with no satisfaction. Will never go there again - first and last time! Good luck if you deal with them. read more

Ordered two dozen blue crabs at $18 per dozen. While the price was excellent, the crabs were way overcooked. Meat was mushy or dry.

Have bought here many times but I think that has ceased. The crabs on several occasions now including those from last year have been small, over cooked, empty of meat and mushy. Guess it true that you don't really get something for nothing. Too bad, they used to serve good crabs when they first opened. read more

Been going to Cameron's for years. I ordered a bushel for July 4th. More than a dozen were mushy and nasty. When I called and told them they said I was lying and to come in and prove it! If I didn't live an hour away and it being July 4th I would have shown them. Never going back there now with such horrible customer service. read more

Order x-large crabs and they said 20mins. Show up no x-large and we had to wait additional 30min for them to steam so called large crabs. Avg tasting read more

The worst seafood I have ever had in my life. Not good. Not fresh. Just horrible. Food made me sick. They should be ashamed how they prepare food. This place should close down. read more

Nothing special..a little over priced. I was quoted one price on the phone for lobsters and received a totally different price when I arrived. It's Wal-Mart like for seafood. It seems massed produced, strip mall-esque atmosphere. read more

Trying to give them half a star. Their customer service is the WORST and had to nerve to tell me go elsewhere. Look you don't have to need my money I definitely don't need your service, I will make it a mission to spread the word on your establishment. I called to confirm the price on my order. The person answering said their name was Jose barely speaks and understands English but that's another story. I get there and they have another price quoted I said remember me I'm the one who called and you quoted me another price he says yes I remember you but the price is different now. I said how is that when I just spoke with you that's not good service. Oh well if you don't like it see if you can get them cheaper somewhere else. I did just that and left. Like I said if you think you're too good to need customers, then we can do something about that. I can spread the word about how terrible your service is. I won't be coming back to your establishment ever again and I'll make sure to let others know you don't need any new customers or that you're not worried about keeping the ones you have/HAD. I went to the Cameron's in Rockville where the product is always FRESH, the customers service is up to PAR and they care about their customers. Go there gas prices are cheap again, it's worth the drive. read more

For seafood carry out, you really can't expect much more. Got the stuffed flounder today and it was especially good!

Horrible! Bought a dozen and half of large male crabs paid $67.50 and 9 of the crabs were bad. Mushy inside and had a chemical taste. Looks like you have to give at least one star. I would give a -8 read more

I would definitely give them zero star if possible. Very lousy place, could NOT be worse. I had very high hopes for this place. After bought crabs there during crab season twice, their crabs were just mushy and could not be swallowed. As a regular crab-eater, I can tell that their crabs have been long dead before they were cooked. I felt like I got food poisoning after eating their stuff. The government agency should close this shop. read more

I love seafood we used to go crabbing a lot so I know what fresh crabs are like I bought a half bushel from here and the crabs were old and dried up they reheated some of them and threw the hot ones on top of the bag when they first came to frederick the crabs were good they were small but good now the place has gone down hill ,I wanted to save a few bucks so I went there never again I will spend extra And go to mays I always get excellent crabs from there read more

I am rating the food and presentation as being ok, but not bad. Now, the service that was given on October 12, 2016. I ordered two porgy platters and a croaker platter. The man in the front presented me with three white perch platters, NO that was not what I wanted. All the man had to do, is tell me what I wanted is not available. I would have either made another selection or no thanks. The bottom line, be honest with the customers. Honesty, was not there and I showed you respect and not cause a confrontation and left the place without the man giving me cocktail sauce (after I asked for it). So, if I cannot trust you wonder what you are doing in the back with preparations of meals hmmm. read more

Crabs are good but SERVICE is TERRIBLE!!! They post deals on there FB page all the time, I called to CONFIRM the price of crabs because it was " too good to b true" because I didn't wanna drive 20 mins there to get there and hear them say " no that's not true" so I called, some Hispanic man answered the phone, barly knew English, I asked about the deal on there fb page and if that price was the same in the store ( like the website said) he said " what, fb, what?" I repeated myself, Nd he said " OHH ooo fb, yes I know about fb" then I said " I just wanted to confirm that this is the actual price for a dozen crabs, I live 20 mins away and I'm not driving out there if the deal isn't valid" he said " ooooo ok, hold on" and then HUNG UP ON ME.... I was like ..."what!!?!?" So I immediately called back thinking I got axidently disconnected...SAME man answered, I said " I think we got disconnected " and he said " no goodbye" and HUNG UP AGAIN!!! Okay so at that point I'm PISSED all I wanted to know if the fu*king price online was ACTUALLY the same in the store. I got my mother in law to call and she got the same guy, asked the same question, and he said *yelling* " NO NO, NO FB PRICE, THRRE NO FB PRICE" and then she said " well why is it up there for THAT location if you don't honor the price" and he said " NO MORE GOODBYE" and hung up. I checked fb and they TOOK IT OFF THE PAGE!! If you don't know proper English you shouldn't b answering a phone and don't hang up on your customers. I live 20 SOMTHING minutes away and I almost drove there to cuss this guy out, be more respectful! read more

we got a 1/2 dozen of crabs last year no problems .waited on crabsthey were very got at a good price going back this year

I would never write a bad review unless warranted. Today I went into Cameron's looking for shrimp and crab cakes. I am a Maryland girl through and through - grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and my Grandmom always made the best crab cakes. There are various places where you can get a great crab cake like Dutch's Daughter and CrossRoads in Clarksville (yes, Clarksville believe it or not - look them up!).... I simply wanted 2 lump crab cakes and went to Cameron's because they are close to where I live and I liked the shrimp they had from the last time I bought there. They had both backfin crab cakes (never ever get backfin crabmeat unless you are not looking for an authentic crab cake and enjoy eating mushed up croutons with egg) and jumbo lump crab cakes. The jumbo lump crab cakes they were selling looked awesome with lots of chunky crabmeat - so I bought 2. HOWEVER, it turned out the jumbo lump crabmeat was merely a few chunks of crab they rolled (probably using egg white) on the outside of a very stuffing filled back fin crab cake. So there was literally NO CRAB MEAT whatsoever. I paid close to $50.00 and I feel like I was deceived and it is quite fraudulent for them to do that. We all know it is off-season so just say you don't have crab cakes until Spring or whatever, don't fool - or try to fool - your customers into buying something they will be completely repulsed by. I will NEVER shop there again and unfortunately for Cameron's, I will not recommend this place to anyone else - and I know a lot of people that frequent this place. Too bad for you - too bad you weren't more honest..... Good luck in your future endeavors - I don't foresee you remaining open for business too much longer. read more

I'm just talking crabs here and can't speak to anything else but for crabs they are 4 times cheaper than anywhere else. They also sometimes have coupons in the Gazette that will cut that price in half. So you could get a dozen for something like $8. BUT YOU HAVE TO GET THEM LIVE! Once and only once I got them cooked because they didn't have live crabs and they were terrible. I got them on a Tuesday and they hadn't got a delivery since Sunday (I've learned there delivery times since) so they cooked them on Sunday and re-steamed them two days later. So awful! But if you get them live and cook them yourself they are as good as anywhere else that you pay 4 times as much at. If you have to get cooked crabs I would still ask if they had live ones just to see how recent the delivery was because if they have no live crabs it probably wasn't recent enough and they don't mind selling you crabs that have been dead for days and vaporizing them so they look and taste like they had a disease or a dirty bomb explode inside them. So why the 4 stars? The only place I can afford to get crabs and if you get them live they are as good as anywhere. read more
