Crab cake and tomato salad, with Anabelle Red Blend.

Great food, wine, atmosphere, and people. We stumbled across this spot just as we rolled into town. Dropped in for lunch on our anniversary. Chatted with Alex (of the husband and wife ownership team) and employee Brock. Brock by the way is a big asset. Wonderful experience!

Always an amazing time -- great wine, excellent service, super friendly owners, delicious food & a fun atmosphere! Leslie, Rolly, Mary, Zinn + everyone else there are top notch at what they do.

We was getting some ice cream at the most sought after place to get ice cream from on Main Street where there's always a freaking line and that's where Cameron from Calivence a Wine and Bistro place approach us and gave us a flier with a discount with any purchase there and they are dog friendly and that a definitely a plus since we had our four legged friend with us at the time. Main Street was like crazy busy due to two spring breaks over lap one ending the other beginning and after shipping for like hours we was in the mood for a place to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle and decided to go check it out but we almost didn't due to being frustrated with the traffic and we was thinking to get the fuck out of Main Street but my better half wanted to have some wine and I am more of beer and bourbon drinker but what the hell let's go.We found front parking what are the odds lol in front of this cute nice looking place with older mature crowd and a couple playing some contemporary older jams not bad not bad at all. We was approached by Jordon cool dude and I explained to him we really don't know much about wine so he helped us out to select our wines and the wine did not disappoint. We got saw the someone getting these Wago sliders and they looked so good so we ordered some and it was so good. Cameron remembered us and greeted us as soon as she saw us which says a lot to me! She explained that she wishes they were more located more down Main Street where all the tourists hang out and I understand especially during the off season cause money is what makes places thrive but this place has something that those other wine places has to offer which is quietness and relaxation to enjoy your wine and food and I know they have their loyal local customers to help them out and I see why. This place has a cool outside patio with plenty of seating as well as a nice seating inside and the restrooms were super clean which is a plus. I hope this place thrive and still around cause we definitely want to come back to enjoy the nice ambiance and good service this place has to offer as well as the wine and food especially those sliders.

Amazing food, wine, and service. Thank you for such a lovely Valentine's Day! We originally stopped in for a quick wine tasting and completely fell in love -- with both the wine and the hospitality. We ended up canceling our other reservation just to stay, relax, and enjoy the experience. Absolutely worth it.

Initially, the hostess told us they couldn't accommodate our party, but then they changed their mind. The interaction felt uncomfortable, as she emphasized their policies for large groups and mentioned that they normally require a minimum of $145 per person. She ultimately allowed us to bypass that requirement as long as everyone ordered an entrée. Our waitress, however, was wonderful and provided excellent service throughout the meal. I ordered the clam and mussel pot, which I found surprisingly bland, though the bread was delicious. The rest of my group seemed to enjoy their meals much more than I did. Unfortunately, there were also some cleanliness concerns. A spider descended from the ceiling onto our table during dinner, and another bug crawled across the table. There was even a bug zapper in the corner of the restaurant that seemed to be going off constantly throughout our meal. For a party of seven, our bill came to around $700. Given the overall experience, the food quality, and the atmosphere, it felt a bit underwhelming for the price.

We enjoyed the atmosphere - it looks like a house-turned-bar and has so much charm. We were able to place our orders at the bar and one of the bartenders brought it out to us in the backyard. We sipped on our delicious drinks while rocking on the swinging bench outside. We decided to share the volcano ashes and floating petals cocktails. The volcano ashes was a bit too bitter for my taste - if you're someone who wants very little sweetness in your drink, this is the one for you. The floating petals was much more my style - the mix of floral tastes was lovely and it was on the slightly sweeter end, just how I like it! We decided on two sangrias after that which were nicely spiced and absolutely lovely. As it got colder outside we decided to move to one of their side rooms, which has nice furniture and is a bit more private than the main room. The bartenders were very kind and the drinks were delicious! Definitely check this spot out on your next visit to Fredericksburg.

It has that rare combination of being polished and memorable while still feeling relaxed and distinctly Texas. The food was phenomenal. The cheeseburger was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, especially with the bacon jam. The cilantro pesto pasta was outstanding, with fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked shrimp. We also loved the chicken schnitzel, the burrata, and the black bean hummus--everything tasted fresh, generous, and thoughtfully prepared. The menu does an excellent job showcasing Texas comfort food with creative, seasonal touches. And dessert was unforgettable. The croissant bread pudding and blackberry crumble were absolutely incredible--rich, comforting, and generous enough to share, although I wouldn't blame anyone for keeping them all to themselves. The drinks and Texas wine selection were equally impressive, and the peach margarita is a must-try. What truly elevated the experience was the service. Our server was attentive, personable, and offered excellent recommendations without ever being intrusive. The entire team made us feel genuinely welcome, and the atmosphere--including the patio, music, and beautiful dining spaces--made it feel like far more than just a meal. I left Hill & Vine completely full, incredibly happy, and already planning my next visit. If you're in Fredericksburg, do yourself a favor and go.

Figure out which are the good ones and skip the others. Definitely order the margarita ceviche. Enough to split. Fresh fish, great flavor. Definitely order the fried pie. Enough for 3 to split. It's incredible with southern peach fried pie with flaky crust, pecan Ice cream and rum caramel sauce. The watermelon green tomato salad with goat cheese was dull. Not sure how they accomplished that given the ingredients, but I'd pass on that. The French onion soup was ok. Nothing memorable, not bad. The tri tip was again just ok. Too well-done and flavorless. A little dry. It was tender though. The carrots served with it needed salt. I'd return. Would like to try other dishes and see what's good.

The staff were very friendly so no issues there. We went in on a Friday at 6:00 pm and were the only ones dining. Shortly after one other couple came in. Not sure if it's this dead because summer is over or because it was a hot day but we were surprised how empty it was for a Friday evening. The menu itself isn't bad. No appetizers on the menu but a decent selection of entrees so no issues there. I order the NY strip with grilled Brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. I'll start with the positive - the steak was ordered medium-rare and it was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, there was just very very little flavor or seasoning to the steak - it wasn't bad but I wouldn't order it again. The Brussel sprouts were huge - and I expected they would be 'hard' in the center (as often happens with larger Brussel sprouts) but I was pleasantly surprised that they were perfectly cooked and tender. Unfortunately they were also very under seasoned. One of them had an oil or seasoning on it and it was delicious but the rest had none and lacked flavor. The garlic mashed potatoes were the highlight! Potato skins in them; nice rich and smooth texture and perfectly flavored. Best part of the meal! We also tried the steak tacos which had thin strips of steak in corn tortillas with corn, a sauce and cilantro and came with black beans and rice. The strips of steak were excellent - slightly charred (perfectly) on the outside and flavorful. The sauce had a wonderful flavor to it. The tortillas were very soft and moist. The tacos were very good. The black beans were black beans and the rice was rice - neither were bad and neither were great - no special flavor. Would we come back? If we were staying at the property again we might go back. The convenience is their main selling point. That said, Main Street in Fredericksburg with literally dozens of restaurants is only 3 minutes away. If The Club could 'up' their seasoning, they would certainly be worthy of 4 stars.
