Second visit to Six Twists ... our server this evening was Lorcan (sp?), he was awesome! Thank you sir! We did two "Somm's Choice" champagne/bubbles flight and were treated to many incredible bubbles. There are hundreds of bottles available, and everything we had was first-rate! We enjoyed the trio caviar flight as well, accompanied by crème fraiche, blinis, and chips. Delicious! Left with six bottles! Yum! Wonderful evening, bubbles and caviar in lieu of dinner. Fair trade! Highly recommend Six Twists!

So happy that even though this wasn't a Texas wine focused spot that we went! We went on a Sunday afternoon and were the only ones in the building for awhile. The lady who took care of us had an extreme amount of knowledge and travels to back it up! My husband did the wild card tasting and I did the champagne tasting. Really great pours for what you pay for! We even took a bottle of special club home!

    Bubbles!

Our first visit to Six Twists and we loved it! We will be back! They had a great selection and it's so cozy inside!

Amazing experience, the waiter was so fun, engaging and knowledgeable. The champagne was awesome, and the atmosphere was moody chic. 10/10

10 stars champagne & caviar bar. If you are headed to wine country, do not miss this establishment. It is as good as it gets outside of a Michelin restaurant in France if you are seeking serious champagne and wines. Check out the story about the 3 co-owners, all special in their own way, but in particular Mr. Andre Boanda. Frankly, I would go to Fredericksburg for the sh why opping and perhaps restaurants, but for champagne & wine recommend Six Twists. Everyone there is wonderful... enjoy.

This place is full of knowledge and everything is absolutely delicious and perfect. The owner is a an encyclopedia of champagne. My wife and I were impressed with the level of service and quality of food. Thank you all.

First and foremost, Andre is amazing!! We opted for the champagne tasting and every glass was phenomenal. In addition to taste, Andre was able to tell us, in full detail, about each one and why we would like it. This spot is classy, elegant and intimate. 10 out of 10!!!

If you're looking for an elevated champagne and sparkling wine experience in Fredericksburg, Six Twists is the place! The staff was very welcoming and friendly and the space is comfortable and classy. The chef was very accommodating when it came to my food allergies. We had the charcuterie board, truffle fries with garlic aioli and the bread board paired with a Pinot Noir. Everything was delicious. After the food we had sparkling wine flights, our sommelier, Lorkin, was very informative and helped us to decide which flights would best fit our tastes. He shared very interesting details about the regions each wine came from and was a lot of fun. Overall an amazing evening!

For a one night best friend impromptu trip this was definitely full of joy and laughter. The ambiance of the cozy little champagne bar and the decadent treats made it a night to remember. As we sipped on our champagne and indulged in the luxurious caviar while receiving the best service from two amazing gentlemen we couldn't help but feel grateful for the simple pleasures in life and the special moments shared. It was a perfect reminder that sometimes the best memories are made when least expected. Cheers to spontaneous adventures and good company!

My fiancé and I had such a great time here! We loved the relaxing atmosphere, the beautiful black and gold decor and more importantly the bubbles!! We tried the world tour champagne flight and it was an incredible experience. We also felt that their prices were reasonable-which was a plus! Bob and Andre walked us through each pour while showing us on a map the different regions that they came from. Lastly, I recommend their flatbread for bitings, their marina sauce was homemade and delicious!!!

The first pour of our champagne and World Tour flights.

They sell only sparkling wines, mostly champagnes with a few proseccos. Great service and relaxed vibe. They have a nice patio area.

Overall, 1 of our favorite food stops on this trip! Our order consisted of 1 order of bang bang shrimp, 1 spinach & artichoke dip appetizer, a shared seared salmon dish (not pictured), 1 blackberry margarita (not pictured), & 1 blueberry mule (not pictured). For me, the best part of our order was the bang bang shrimp. If I get to go back I'll just order 2 of those & call it good! The spinach & artichoke appetizer was good, but offered a pretty standard flavor profile. The seared salmon was the best salmon dish I've tasted in a long time, paring nicely with the mashed potatoes & roasted veggies that came with it. Both cocktails were amazing, but my wife said the blackberry margarita was fantastic. The most negative thing about GH was extremely limited indoor seating availability & the lack of reservations, but now you've been warned. It was a short trip for us, but we will be back to GH on our next visit to Fredericksburg for sure.

Stone House sits high above Lake Travis and provides beautiful views as you sip their Texas wines. Here you can enjoy their Australian or Napa inspired wines either in their AC cooled lounges or residing in one of their Adirondack chairs and enjoying the view. One of our Favs is the 2019 Angela's Wish Barossa Valley. This a Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz red blend. This is a very complex wine with a strong tannin finish. I love a good Malbec and their 2022 Malbec Napa Valley is good err great. It pours dark ruby red with an oak finish. Stone house offers wine tastings, a chef's five course pairing, and a deep dive wine master class. They do have weekend grilling, themed dinners, and a very interesting menu to accompany your wine. Food: Came here specifically to try bouillabaisse since it's pretty much the only restaurant in Austin that makes it. Large portion of seafood and very filling from the bread! The soup was a bit salty, but probably expected from the seafood. Also ordered the quail dish - this one was a bit underwhelming, decent but nothing special about it. I would say the drinks are really nice here - they have a large variety of absinthe and comes with a very cool water drip vessel. Service: Great service - came to check in often and offered some good insight into the different absinthe drinks. Vibe: Dark and moody - a bit on the rustic/industrial side but still a nice place for a date or a group. We could hear some music playing from the venues nearby which added to the ambiance.

Update to first review below, rating updated from a 3 to a 5 star (drinks & bartender would get 10+…read morestars if we could rate that high): Saturday night: Went back for after dinner drinks at the Downstairs (a "speakeasy" throwback, look up the history of the place to see why). Drinks were AMAZING! Bartender Rob made the best Negroni I've ever had. I asked him to use whatever gin he thought best--result was an artistic smooooooth full-bodied drink. Told him when I was done I'd lick the glass if it wasn't considered so uncouth for a 'mature' lady like myself to do so Hubby's Buffalo Trace bourbon old fashioned was also outstanding. Rob was the bartender last night who did such a great job, and his work was even better tonight. We highly recommend The EsquireTavern for excellent cocktails. We love the long wood bar and high copper ceiling upstairs, but love the intimate speakeasy atmosphere downstairs even more. We'll definitely be back every time we're in San Antonio! First review, Friday night: Drinks were great (Manhattan and Bourbon Old Fashioned). REAL drinks, no complaints at all about those. And the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Those aspects of the Esquire get 5+ stars from us. But the appetizers were not good, close to inedible. It was about 8:30pm or so, so maybe they were getting ready to close out the kitchen but the chalupitas with chicken tasted like rubber, and no flavor at all. The seafood platter had something in it that was breading with shell inside, but no meat of any kind. We couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be. The shrimp was good and the fish was good but those other things... We'll always love the drinks, the long wooden bar, and the ambiance at the Esquire Tavern, but we'll eat somewhere else and come here for before or after dinner drinks. (See update above to this review for when we returned the next night for after dinner drinks.)

However, if you come in from the street, you need to walk to the other side of the restaurant to get a table.. We ordered a limonada with prickly pear, fried quail, lamb burger, and bison burger. They came with a few spicy pickled veggies as a side. The limonada was as expected . I highly recommend a fried quails legs. We enjoy eating quails, but it's usually bittersweet relationship because of all the small bones however their appetizer for fried quail legs is super user-friendly. If you are scared of choking on small bones, these will not give you that kind of worry at all. We were impressed on how well-made and easily eaten they were. Our waiter was very friendly and he checked on us a few times. He was also the one that suggested the fried quail legs. We walked here .
