I really enjoyed the wine tasting here, all the reds were delicious and it's so cool drinking wine from grapes grown where you are. The service was top noche, she always came to pour the next sample as I finished the previous tasting. The menu itself is very open, beautiful indoor tasting room with large windows, and a great patio. The clubhouse is for members only and not open to the public during the weekend. That's where the have live music on the weekends and a great view of the vines while enjoying the tastings. I'll def looking into becoming a member because the wine is great and the clubhouse looks super cool! read more

If you drive here you must be a member club to visit the property they are offering. I wish they promoted that on their website. Members Club Only. Also no family centered , only 21 and up. At least you are a member club, I do not recommend to visit. Not worth the drive. read more

Augusta Vin is easily one of our favorite, if not the favorite winery, in the Fredericksburg area. We've been club members for several years, and every visit feels special, especially in the beautiful members‑only building. On beautiful days, the upstairs deck or the downstairs patio is the perfect place to relax and take in the views. The wine lineup is consistently strong. We gravitate toward their big Tannats and Cabs, and in the summer, their Rosé is wonderfully refreshing. Their food menu is also solid, offering everything from salads to charcuterie and cheese boards, sandwiches, and even desserts. Service is always spot‑on. Every server we've had has been knowledgeable about both the wines and the food pairings. Weekends can get busy, so reservations are definitely recommended. They also offer production and vineyard tours, and there's live music on the weekends. read more

The wine was amazing! I got the all red tasting and it was lovely. My favorite was the Merlot. The meatballs were delicious as well. My friends and I explored the vineyard that they let you walk through and we took beautiful photos there. Definitely a lot fancier and classier than other wineries in Fredericksburg. Another nice experience at Augusta Vin. Our 3rd visit in about 12 months. We are at the mid-point of our visit to hill country and we knew we needed to visit Augusta Vin. We've done tastings here before and we know what we prefer, so now we just order glasses of their Merlot. We'd just come from lunch so we didn't eat anything here this time but we've enjoyed their food in the past. Our server here was quite pleasant, as they all have been each time we've been here. During our weekend trip to Fredericksburg we had the pleasure of enjoying a production tour with Brett. He was very knowledgeable and super charismatic! He led a great tour and gave great wine recommendations! He definitely sold us on the products and we ended up going home with a few bottles! Went on a Friday and originally was going to sit outside but the tasting was like $40 for 5 pours but it's only $25 if you sit at the bar. After confirming there was no real difference in the wines we chose to sit at the bar. We were told you couldn't order from the food menu at the bar and the tasting would be "sped up." Seems like a money grab in my opinion which is why I'm deducting a star. Additionally the members only clubhouse and the vineyard is only accessible to the general public Mon-Thurs so don't expect stunning views like on social media. As far as the tasting we still felt the sommelier was informative and passionate about the wines. He provided lots of detail and gave recommendations when we went to buy additional glasses. He was running around in between customers but when he was with us he gave us his full attention and was thoughtful. My wife and I stopped by on our vacation. Megan our server was AMAZING!! If the membership was based on her knowledge and interaction, we would have joined for sure. Unfortunately, the wines did not all match my palate. I did enjoy the Cabernet and Tannat. Just not enough other wines to take the membership plunge. The drive up views of the vineyard were Awesome, you just need to be a member to get the upper level Full Vineyard view???? I joined several years ago and have been very disappointed with the quality in the wine. The good bottles are rare. The last 2 visits the service was very disheartening that I canceled my membership. Beautiful setting, great service--but bring earplugs for the tasting room Augusta Vin was near the top of my Fredericksburg wine list, mostly for their wine styles--and the property didn't disappoint. The tasting room and grounds are beautiful, stylish, and spotless. It's clearly a popular spot. The lot was nearly full despite plenty of parking, and several wine tour groups were making stops. The private tasting room looked lively, too, even though we weren't members. This place was hopping. We were warmly greeted and took seats at the wine bar for a tasting. Our server was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and helped us tailor a flight of reds to match our preferences, along with a few palate-cleansing snacks. Now, the big downside: the noise. The tasting room's acoustics are rough--hard surfaces everywhere make it feel like a wine echo chamber. We could barely hear each other or our server, which took away from an otherwise great experience. We didn't end up purchasing any bottles, as I didn't find any to be a strong value, though the tasting itself was priced fairly. Bottom line: it's worth visiting for the ambiance and service, but aim for a quieter time of day or week if you want to fully enjoy the experience. And maybe don't expect to leave with a full case. read more

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing due to inaccurate information on Yelp. The listing indicated that the venue was "good for kids," so we arrived excited to visit and explore the possibility of becoming members after seeing the beautiful spaces and amenities offered. Upon arrival, we were informed that the property is strictly 21 and over and that children are not permitted. Had this information been clearly stated online, we would not have made the trip with our child. The staff was kind, apologetic, and expressed hope that we would return in the future, which we genuinely appreciated. However, that doesn't remedy the time, planning, and travel involved in a trip that ultimately could not take place. As parents who currently travel with our child, returning isn't a realistic option for us anytime soon. It's especially unfortunate because the venue appears beautiful, and based on what we saw, we likely would have enjoyed becoming members. We hope the listing can be updated to accurately reflect the age restrictions so that other families can avoid the same disappointment. read more

While Augusta is another one of Wine Country's venues that don't allow outside food, there is quite the variety of food choices, including charcuterie, sandwiches and sweets. (Ranging from $10-$75). Similar to other venues, the prices do seem inflated (and unreasonable) and I do wish we could just bring our own snacks and enjoy the vineyard's wine. While I'm sure it's not often necessary, we do think that a few patio heaters could be beneficial for guests or, at the least, a functioning fire in the fire place on colder days (especially during the holidays). Pro Tip: Pack a few blankets to enjoy your choice of wine on the colder days. read more

Our server, Auggie was friendly and knowledgeable and saved the day (from the horrible hostesses) The Not So Good: The tasting room was large but empty as well as a the porch. It was a Saturday so we were a little surprised (but pleased) we could find a nice table. The Ugly: Really what this review is about. The two 20-something hostesses had an attitude like we were interrupting their day from the word go. There were 7 of us in the party, none of us was rude or rowdy when we asked for a table (and we clearly had a lot of disposable income) but were greeted with distain. Arrived to the tasting room and seated at the bar with no view of the vineyards. We spent over $100 on wine and charcuterie. We then went to walk around the grounds since we didn't get to see much and were yelled at from across the lot for walking down this dirt path (not the vineyard itself) to look at the vineyard by a lady stating that only members could walk on this specific dirt path. The membership area was empty and we were not obstructing anyone's view. This area was not enclosed nor were there any signs. Strange experience, will not be back especially after spending so much and not being able to spend even 1 minute looking at the actual vineyard. Another couple said they were also yelled at for the same thing. If you don't want people walking down this area then at least put up a sign so your guests aren't yelled at like children after giving you business. read more

*IF YOU'RE READING THIS & ARE CURRENTLY AT AUGUSTA VIN WITH A SERVER NAMED ADAM - JUST GET UP AND LEAVE NOW.* Now, for everyone else reading this review, please settle-in for the unfortunate tale of how Adam, a server for Augusta Vin, single-handedly ruined the bachelorette festivities of a dear friend of mine this past Saturday. (Don't worry though because the story has a happy ending - the amazing team at the female-run Barelle Vineyards redeemed the day for us) For added context - There were 6 women in my party. Of those 6, only the bride-to-be had ever visited Augusta Vin. Of the wineries on our agenda that day, Augusta Vin was her one personally requested stop. For everyone else, this was our first, and I'm pretty positive, last time visiting. We arrived shortly after 1 pm and entered the main public building for non-members. We arrived at a busy time for the winery, as there was a short line at the door just to be seated. However, as our table did not want to do a guided tasting, the two friendly hostesses at the front were able to immediately seat us on the back patio. Upon being sat, we were almost immediately greeted by a female server with bottled waters that she dropped off at the table. Quick clarifying note here - she did not ASK if we wanted the waters - she literally said "Here are some waters for you guys." She also brought more bottles than our group needed. We did not realize until we received the check that there is a $1 charge for each bottle. So just an FYI for when you're visiting. After this female server dropped off the bottled waters, we were not acknowledged for about 20 minutes-to the point we were literally starting to think that if you sat on the patio you had to go inside and order from the bar. A member of our party was on the way to the bar in fact when our server, the infamous Adam, finally made his introduction. The first words out of Adam's mouth in his greeting to us was that the team was short staffed & had run out of basically all food except charcuterie. This was fine, because we already knew we just wanted bottles. We informed Adam we definitely wanted a bottle of the Albariño but were stuck between two Rosés and wanted to sample each in order to make a decision. With this update, Adam wasn't seen again for about another 10-15 minutes. When he did arrive again, he had the bottle we ordered and the 2 Rosés to try. Once we settled on the Rosé, Adam poured 4 out of the 6 of us a glass of the Albariño (which WAS delicous btw) - the bride specifically opted out and told him she would wait for the Rose. He said he would be "right back" with a bucket of ice for the Albariño and with the bottle of Rosé. That "right back" turned into 31 minutes. At around the 25 minute mark, we flagged down a passing hostesses to ask her for our check. By this point we'd been there for over an hour with 2 in our party (most importantly the bride to be herself) having no wine to drink and the rest of us drinking warm Albariño since Adam never showed back up with an ice bucket. It was about 5 minutes after we flagged the hostess down to ask for our check that Adam finally showed back up like no time had passed, ready to yank the cork out of the Rosé. A member of our party politely, but firmly, stated we were no longer interested in the Rosé at this point and simply wanted the check for the one bottle as we had an Uber on the way with an ETA of 10 minutes. Adam said Ok and turned heel & in typical Adam fashion was not seen again. As our Uber was arriving, we left the patio & began walking up front to 1) flag the Uber down to let them know where our group was & 2) attempt to pay at the hostess stand. While our group was walking across the indoor dining area towards the front/hostess area, Adam spotted us while he waiting on a table seated indoors. He proceeded to yell across the room at us like we were a bunch of wine thieves, "You need to check out with me for that Albariño." I informed him we'd be waiting, per usual for him, at the front. During the checkout process with my friend who was paying he had a very condescending attitude and attempted to charge us for the Rosé at first! He even made a comment about knowing he wasn't getting a tip. I recognize the vineyard was busy this day. It was a beautiful September Saturday after all. I'm sure Adam was probably working more tables than he should have. However, we watched EVERY SINGLE TABLE around us on the patio, including another bachelorette party that had 15 attendees, receive consistent service throughout the hour & a half we were there. We couldn't even get the bottle we ordered or an ice bucket. *Apparently you're also supposed to receive complimentary chocolate cake when you're there, which we saw everyone around us receive but obviously we did not* This put a huge damper on the bachelorette festivities, but fortunately Fredericksburg is full of other amazing vineyards (like Barelle) even if Augusta Vin isn't one. read more

What could they improve? Honestly, everything. We did the full tour and tasting at $95 per person, and if someone asked me whether it was worth it, I'd probably say they should pay me to go through it again. I definitely would not pay for this experience. They poured us five wines to start, and each time we had to ask what it was. Only then would they say the name: no backstory, no varietal info, no explanation of what made it unique. Nothing. It felt more like pulling teeth than a guided tasting. Later, we ended up trying a total of about eight wines, and I usually can find at least one I like... but here, none of them were even decent. The food pairings? Five tiny, poorly made hors d'oeuvres that looked and tasted like an afterthought. For the price point, you'd expect something thoughtful--at the very least somewhat interesting. No descriptor for any of these. Even the arrival was a mess. First, they told us we were in the wrong room and shuffled us to another building. Once we got there, they told us we were too early and made us wait outside in the heat rather than letting us sit comfortably inside. It was disorganized, unwelcoming, and amateurish from the very start. On top of all that, the basics weren't even covered: the place lacked hygiene and general cleanliness. That, combined with bad wine, unprepared staff, and a lackluster experience, made it an easy call. Hard pass. I would never come again! read more

A wonderful experience! This vineyard was on a beautiful estate with grape vines as far as you could see! The actual experience at the winery was less "special" compared to other wineries we visited. It was quite loud and we were informed that you could not do a tasting outside on the patio, only indoors at the bar. The bottle we ordered was good, but it didn't seem as if the staff knew as much about wine as the other vineyards and wineries that we visited on this trip. We did order sandwiches at this location , opting for the ham, bacon and cheese. It came with kettle chips on the side and was served on crispy sourdough. The jam was sweet snd there was a generous amount of ham in the sandwich. Overall the vineyard was nice and the wine was good. I will definitely give them another chance and be back, but not my "favorite" spot of the day :) read more

Love every visit to Augusta Vin, and today was perfect! We enjoyed a bottle of Chardonnay and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc! Honestly, I loved both! The Chardonnay had hits of apple and buttercream and was so refreshing. The Sauvignon Blanc tasted like sweet peaches and sweet apricots! We also tasted the Trbbiano because our server Shay likes to get her customers to get outside of their comfort zone and I loved it. It was sweet and citrusy all in one. We also had the roast beef wrap and the turkey sandwich. The siracha mason on the wrap was delicious and I loved the turkey with the garlic aioli. We are now leaving with two bottles a Nectar Rose and the Riesling. Can't wait to try both! The winery is beautiful with vineyards of course but the landscaping brags of beautiful Texas hearty plans like roses, Pride of Barbados, and yucca amoung many other gorgeous plants and blooms. Our group of 5 picked visiting Augusta Vin because it looked beautiful and we know multiple people who are members of their wine club. The property is beautiful, however, I got the feeling that maybe they have high turnover with their staff, as the hostess was new, and our server was new. Our server was on his 5th day with us. While he was very nice, he could not provide us any education on the wines. The most he could do was repeat what was listed on the menu and even then, we felt like he was not ready to serve tables on his own and should have been shadowing a veteran employee or had another employee provide the education. If you are big on education and wanting to know more about the grapes and how it tastes, I would ask to be paired with a server who is excited to talk about the wines in depth. I likely will not return to Augusta Vin on my next trip to Fredericksburg, as there are so many other places to try out. read more

We had a great experience, and Graceyn was a wonderful tour guide. The wines were amazing and, even off season, the vineyard is a gorgeous drive. To be honest, we were hoping for more for the price than a drive through the grounds and a couple of stops to look around the rooms.
