Don't use them. Terrible customer service. Poor workmanship. Unprofessional. I started a roofing project with them in July and I am still not satisfied. They don't know how to communicate with customers. I waited 3 weeks for an answer and never got one. I have filed a compliant through the Hero Program. The foreman doesn't supervise or communicate. The salesman hung up on me. The workers left a mess including nails and metal shrapnel in my yard and driveway. They also had no respect for my house. They damaged my walls and one of my appliances. Long review alert! I ran out of characters while writing this... We did windows, doors, attic insulation, stucco, and texcote paint. 1. A lot of workers cussing, smoking, throwing trash and cigarette butts on the ground. Even after complaining about the trash and being told to leave it there.... That they would clean it up. The manager comes on site the next work day and more trash is on the ground that I point out to them, and the workers laugh about it. 2. Lots of nails, screws, & razor blades left on the ground. I complained about this multiple times. I have kids and god forbid one of them cuts their foot on a razor blade left over from these guys. We've picked up over 100 nails and screws and 10 razor blades. Then my wife's car gets a nail in the tire, which prompted this review. :) I was even told that they would come out on the last day with a rolling magnet to pick up stuff, never happened. 3. Out of all the windows installed, 4 were wrong. 2 didn't slide the way we wanted them to, decided to keep them anyway. 1 window had privacy glass that shouldn't of, kept it anyway. The last problem window was supposed to have privacy glass, but didn't. That one they came and replaced and now doesn't slide correctly. The window doesn't line up right and looks crooked if not all the way open, or shut completely 4. The doors didn't come with the hardware we picked out. Wanted an antique black finish, was given a brushed nickel. Not a big deal, but why did we spend time with the sales person picking this stuff out if we didn't get it? Main door had to have the casing redone as it wasn't put in properly and looked terrible. The manager did apologize for rushing the job and leaving it that way. Complained about the door locks not lining up correctly and not being able to open the door from the outside with a key, they attempted to fix that problem, but still not the best. Second entry door was hanging out with one week of installation, they fixed that and it has been fine since the correction. 5. Busted off a electric plug, which took out the electricity in part of the house. They had an electrician come out and replace the plug and check the wiring. Electrician is friends/family with a worker of California Construction and he says this happens a lot as usually a nail is put into the electric wiring to cause a short. 6. Had some caulk on some materials that was put onto a red material couch. Still a spot on it after cleaning. A lot of mess in the house which is understandable. But when they put in attic insulation, it flowed out through a wall heater and flooded the house with a fog of insulation. After cleaning up the house from the windows and doors, to now have it filthy again from not taping up or even coming inside to check before starting the insulation fill was pretty bad. I told the Manager that maybe they should check that stuff in the future, and he shrugged it off. 7. Threw away my wood crawl space cover. Was supposed to have another one built, they never did. They put in a cheap metal cover, but I can't have a big hole on the side of the house. 8. Threw away my attic door which fit perfectly and added some architecture to the house. Replaced it with a poorly built square door that doesn't fit properly, has big gaps where it fits. 9. Was told they were leaving 5 gallons of house paint for touch ups etc, opened it up and there is maybe 1 gallon in it. 10. Upon stripping the siding off they were supposed to check the insulation and re-insulate where needed and fix any problems. I pointed out a rotted out section of the house by the master bathroom. Worker said they would take care of it. Next day I notice that new black paper is coated over it. Luckily the workers didn't show up that day, without notice of course, so I decide to pull back the paper and the rotted section is still there. The whole corner of the house is rotted out and would have had the added weight of stucco on it without being repaired. Called owner and complained and it was forwarded over to a manager. 11. Over spray on concrete, on roof shingles, on window casings. 12. Caulked the inside of our shower to prevent leaks, with brown caulk. The rest of the shower was in white. Last day of the project the worker supplied a white caulk container. 13. Concrete material stain left on hoses, nozzles, on the ground. 14. They stucco'd over a Verizon cable, had to have them pull it back out and fix it properly. What kills me is the trash issue. I understand that things on the job happen. They broke some things, replaced them. Installed gfci circuits, added two window shelves, textured a wall and a wall corner for me and they built up the concrete foundation so it looked well built. It's been a few months and we are still finding nails, screws, etc. read more

I am going to give 5 stars...for now...since we haven't had any work done yet. While I was outside in my front yard I was approached by Morgan. She was polite, friendly and wearing a mask while keeping her distance. My husband and I have been talking about getting a patio cover so thought "might as well get a quote". I got on the schedule for the next day for an quote. The day of the quote I got a phone call from Santiago who asked we a couple questions about where the possible cover would go (is there a slab, is there enough room between the pool and the house, etc). He was very nice and respectful as well. Ken was the guy that did the quote. He was on time, nice, wore a mask, and was very upfront with what we could and couldn't do. During the estimate we discussed changing out a challenging window. He gave a quote for that. We were told what the price would be if we scheduled today (30% discount), in a month (20% discount) or in a year regular price. Well we weren't ready to sign on the dotted line today BUT when we are we would have no problem calling California Showcase. Every employee was respectful and not pushy at all! read more

This company insists on having both husband and wife available when giving a quote. I needed attic insulation and was ready to make the purchase when they showed up. The sales man arrived and when I told him my wife and I could discuss it amongst ourselves and decide he said he needed to call his boss. He put me on the phone with the boss, who I told the same thing to. He said it was "too much information" for me alone and that they would need to reschedule. The only conclusions I could draw were: 1 - I'm not intelligent enough to understand the concept of insulating materials because it's too complicated a science for someone of my limited capacity. OR 2 - It's easier to manipulate a sale with both parties present. In compliment to my capacity, I'll assume it's the latter, since I've repeatedly demonstrated my ability to read AND comprehend such complex literary works as "Green eggs and Ham" and "Hop on Pop.." (Though i did have to look up some of the words).. So does this mean California showcase doesn't perform work for single homeowners? I must be confused.. The bottom line is, I would have made the purchase and they would have made the sale had they not insisted on something so completely ridiculous. Bad Taste! Had my beautiful Anlin windows installed and California showcase did an amazing job. They even cleaned the windows before they left. It is definitely pricier than other cheaper windows, but they are worth the investment. They make our hours look newer and keep the heat out and the cool in. I LOVE them and recommend. They came out to repair the items that I complained about. Everything is working well. Only problem: the service technician asked me if I could take down my review. When I refused and told him that I would update it with the changes and rate CSC higher, he got angry. He asked me again if I would take it down. I told him that I wouldn't. He then proceeded to tell me to have a good day and to enjoy my windows in a very sarcastic tone, while walking out. The higher star is for fixing the repairs. I can't, in good faith, go higher. Not with that type of customer service. I did call CSC to complain about the service technician. The customer service representative did apologize, but I will not be using CSC in the future or referring them to anyone I know. read more

The gentlemen who knocked on my door heard that my hands were filled with small children and returned another day to make a free estimate appointment. The estimate appointment went smoothly. The windows were installed with small children a foot and the men were patient and friendly. They cleaned up behind themselves and let me know that I could call if I had any questions or concerns. I have called the office and the staff have been professional and friendly. My 3 year old had broken the mesh and true to their word, it was quickly repaired. Windows are a big expense and we knew that coming into this we wouldn't be able to afford to replace all the windows at one time. Our salesmen was very friendly and knowledgable. He showed us our options and what the special they had going on. We measured our most needed windows and were quoted a very fair price. We are starting with 6 windows (ones that get the most sun and heat through them) Cant say anything on the window install because we just started the project and are not to that point yet and have few more steps to go but we are very please so far and will continue to use them as we replace the other 11 windows until all windows have been replaced. read more

These guys are awesome! We bought our windows years ago, and they still come out every time we call them and free of charge, even for small fixes like a screen door not working right. I did end up buying a new Pet screen door after they had to come out multiple times to prescreen our existing one, and I at first, I was not happy how it was working. About 8 years ago I bought my beautiful french doors from California Showcase and I could not be happier with the quality and the outstanding service. These doors were hard to find but California Showcase had them custom made to my needs. They were a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and I have NEVER thought I payed too much now that I have seen the quality, how long they last, how well they last and the service they provide. I have had small issues with the door and never once had to pay for anything to be fixed or replaced. I would recommend this company to everyone and cannot stress enough the professionalism and great customer service that is so hard to find. It's been a day since they finished the installation for our home. I must say, when their sales rep Joshua showed us the demonstration with his BTU checker, I was skeptical. The price was astronomical for just 7 windows. I could have used that money to remodel my kitchen with granite counters and the works! But, now that the windows are actually on, I can feel NO heat coming through the windows. We get temperatures that go up to 115 degrees at times, so it was amazing that on a day when it was in the upper 90s, I did not feel any heat through the windows. From Joshua to the workers who installed them, they were all very polite and efficient. However, the company can perhaps use people like Joshua to set up the initial appointment. Some home owners prefer to deal with conservative representatives. I read some of the other reviews and gathered that the initial rep was somewhat unprofessional, so maybe there is room for improvement. Labor efficiency-wise, top notch! If there is a change in the performance of the Anlin windows or services, I will return to leave another review. read more

Replaced 25 windows in less than a day. Mike and the entire team were terrific. I was a bit skeptical that they would get it all done in a single day, but they completed the process very efficiently. Two teams of 5 men - one for each floor. Our new windows look great and I'm looking forward to the energy savings and other benefits. Very happy with the installation. We hired California Showcase to replace all of our windows several years ago and they did a great job. Years later we decided we wanted to change 2 of the windows so we called them back and after finding out they also work with Stucco we decided to get the entire house refinished too. Laz's team came out with Angel at the helm and as expected they did a fantastic job again. It was an extremely large job and required several weeks to finish but everyone always arrived on time, were extremely nice and never left a mess at the end of the day. They are reasonably priced and they will always be my first call when I decide to have more work done!! read more

Just had 9 Anlin windows and a slider put in by California Showcase. Wonderful company! Our sales person Josh was able to answer all of our questions and his demonstration was very informative. He was a class act all the way around. Then the owner Bryan came out and did all the measurements and answered more questions for us. Then the crew came out....wonderful workers. They were very polite and friendly, even cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. They made sure I knew how everything worked. After they left, I found one little issue and called the company....the crew turned around and drove back to my house and fixed it. I couldn't ask for better!!! And a happy 50th to Joey...you deserve a great birthday! :) The ONLY thing I would say needs work for this company would be the door to door sales lady. She was really weird. She told me all about her boyfriend's house, her grandmother's house, everything she had on her mind came out of her mouth that day. Had a representative named Shannon come to our door. She was in cutoff jean shorts, a tank top and tore up shoes. Was very pushy with my wife and tried to force a sale and then a consultation after being repeatedly told that we weren't interested. She asked my wife if she could just leave a brochure, my wife again for the third time said we're not interested but very rudely gave it to her anyways. She talked to my wife like a child and tried to say our whole house has old aluminum framed windows. Out of 13 windows, one is still aluminum, all others are new vinyl. She claimed their windows block 95% of UV rays and sunlight. Who the heck wants windows with tint as that would block that much light and UV. I was a finishing carpenter and I now work in the windows and doors market and this woman was blowing smoke! Totally unprofessional. read more

The quote and windows replacement was done quickly. However, the guys left a couple of my alarm sensors off and one shutter installed upside down. In 4 days it will be a month since I have been trying to get someone to at least fix the shutter - terrible customer service. I'm treated as if they are doing me a favor - to come here to fix their error. I was told Jen left me a voice mail. I know the information is incorrect because my voice mail is not set up. I told them that when I called and specifically told then to text me or email if I don't answer the call. California Showcase was professional and curtious from beginning to end. My husband and I had widows replaced throughout our entire house, 15 windows and 2 french doors total. It was easy to scheduled my consultation online and Dave arrived the scheduled day and did our free estimate. He was well informed about the product, Anlin Window Systems, as well as our financing options (we used the HERO program). We were offered a 10% savings if we decided to sign our contract to use them that day. We were sold and decided to go for it. The next day, the owner Brian came out and did exact measurments of all our windows and placed our order. We were given a 2-4 week timeframe. The windows arrived within that timeframe and were intalled the next day. The installers were punctual arriving right at 8 am and had all of the windows installed and inspected by 2:30. They removed all my blinds before they started, put them back before they left, and cleaned up exceptionally well before leaving. I was extremely pleased with every step of the process and would highly recommend them for any of the multiple services they provide. read more

And of course the installers! They showed up right on time ready to work. They installed 11 windows and a sliding glass door in 8 hrs. Every window came out beautifully done. They were fast but made sure everything was perfect! They did such a great job on the slider, I cant stop looking at how wonderful it looks! And the financing program they have, I got all that for a little over $100 a month added to my mortgage with no $ down. which I'm sure my energy savings will pay for! If I could give negative or zero stars, I would. Find another contractor, no run, they are horrible and completely unprofessional!! Here's our story: In 2016 a salesman named Joshua knocked on our door, claiming to have a fabulous product that could reduce our energy costs by up to 40%. Well of course this peeked our interest, so my husband invited him in. The product he claimed was so great was Tex-cote. So it was sold to us under the H.E.R.O. program because of the so called energy efficiency. Under the HERO program (SCAM PROGRAM) the contractor is paid by the federal government after the work is complete. You pay the cost in your property taxes each month, until the amount is paid in full, allowing you to right off those taxes on your federal income taxes. There was no money upfront. They would remove all the old stucco and replace with this wonder product called Tex-cote, in which Joshua stated this product consisted of thousands of glass particles in the paint and when the sun hit the paint, the glass particles would defect the sun rays not allowing any heat to be absorb into the wall, thus reducing your energy costs. Sounds great huh??? Their crew showed up, blasted all the old stucco, applied the primer, then the "wonder" paint Tex-cote. This process took a several weeks. I loved the new color and trim of our house. But noticed there was not a significant reduction in our utilities costs. Then 3 months after completion of the project, the stucco was peeling and lifting, and left a large crack in the wall. My husband called their foreman a couple of times and left and message and the call was never returned. Months went by because I wanted to see if my utilities would see a change. I called the utility company and asked for the previous 12 months before the application of Tex-cote and the 12 months after. Well to my surprise, there was a increase in my bill 7 out of the 12 months. There clearly was no change, but an increase. Not seeing a change in my utility bill and being blown off by the foreman, we decided to file a complaint with the California Contractors Board. It took filing a complaint that got their attention and we were able to finally meet the owner of California Showcase, Brian Jones. Him, his foreman, and the office manager made an appointment to come see the crack, and immediately Brian Jones starts playing the blame game. He states, "whoever installed the window did not install it correctly," also stating, "the window is bowed." After paying close to $24,000 for a glorified paint job, you would think Mr. Jones would do whatever possible to make sure he had a satisfied customer. But NO!! Then the foreman walks over to the other side of house and states the stucco is cracking in another area where a new window was installed. It was a crack that you could barely see and after having 2 different reputable general contractors look at it they both stated it is going to crack because its a "cold joint." But Mr. Jones in his arrogance again states "you had butchers work on your house." My husband is very upset at this point and raises his voice, and Jones states, "I won't stand here and get yelled at," and storms off and ends up on our driveway. My husband still upset continues to raise is voice, and Jones states, "you yell at me again, its going to get ugly." Really, so unprofessional, what Mr. Jones didn't realize is my husband is a former Marine and martial artist, so if anything was going to get ugly it would have been Brian Jones' face. You challenge customers to a physical altercation, Brian Jones is a JERK!! The 2 other contractors we spoke with stated the Tex-cote is a joke and they would never use it. Another paint contractor we also spoke with stated if there were millions glass particles in the paint, it would eventually clog up the sprayers. Wow, how's this for customer service, I have a Home improvement company were we service homeowners with energy-efficient products and where looking for a contrater that puts on Tex Cote coating and I was referred to Kari at showcase. I explained what we do and was told they don't do that, don't do Jobs? maybe she didn't understand the question, so then I asked her a retail price, rough price because we and most companies I know start by square feet, she went off on me saying there were to many variables, etc. yes I understand that but wanted to start at a price per square foot and talk about doing business using her retail price as I have home owners that have asked about it and I always need someone I can refer them too. California Showcase was hired to replace all windows in my home. A nice salesman arrived, and he guaranteed that the work would be completed in one day. This was what I needed. However, this did not occur. One window was measured wrong, by the owner, and multiple calls were made to take care of this situation. Later I heard from this company, and the owner, "This is construction and mistakes happen. What? You don't ever make mistakes." I was originally told this company is different than others and the work would be completed in one day, but this company is not superior to others, in my opinion. Customer service is unprofessional and the way I was treated by a manager was childlike. Now that the windows are put in, I can agree with other reviews and would like to state that the work was done cleanly, but not completely. Cigarette smoke will enter your home, cigarettes will be left out near the curb, and again, the professionalism from the front office was offensive. What you are told by the salesman, may not represent reality. How you are treated by the manager, if something needs to be fixed, may not feel good. Just a warning. I'm giving this review based on my experience with their door canvasser and their salesperson. We did not end up going with this company for windows, but I felt they were still worth reviewing, just as some other reviewers have done as well. Their door-to-door person, Chris P., was very respectful in dealing with me. I actually thought he was the mailman or I might not have opened the door. Ha! So I was a bit surprised... but his company was selling replacement windows and I am in the market for a few of those. I figured I may as well get a bid. He left me with a very professional looking flyer, and explained that someone from his company would call in just a few minutes to confirm that I actually want an appointment. I thought this was a very professional way of operating, because it prevents the door-to-door appointment setter from making any "surprise" appointments to meet their quotas. It also gave me time to jump on the internet, look up the company and it's reviews - in time to decide if I wanted to keep the appointment or not. I found they sold a line of decent windows that I did not have a local source for, so we went with it. The salesperson, David McCure, showed up right on time. He was very professional, yet also friendly and - most important to me - respectful to women and in no way condescending. Many, many contractors I've dealt with only look at and talk towards my husband when we are in a conversation. That drives me nuts! David McCure talked with us evenly, and listened attentively to my rather stringent requirements for our project. He seemed like a very reasonable person and was a good salesperson who could converse easily and knew to figure out what it is that we, the potential customers, need and want. So many salespeople just try to sell you a product, not figure out what your needs are...this guy has clearly had a lot of experience working to actually please customers. (I spent 20 years in sales and I have no patience for high-pressure salespeople...so I was pleasantly surprised.) David's candor was refreshing, and both my husband and I liked him. We didn't end up going with their windows because our project is small enough that we plan to tackle it ourselves. my name is Lynn i'm home retired from having three heart attacks. I was visited by I think his name was Joe not sure? He got me to upgrade my windows as mane were very sad to that. California Showcase Construction came into my life. Our family ordered 15 windows and a sliding door. After waiting for them to be custom made. I was called and we set the instillation of the new windows and door. the truck showed up with a group of installers.Mike was there leader and what a team there were.They were all work, no one stood any where long. The new there jobs and want to work with little direction as Mike was checking and over seeing things they got the windows in the side on one day and came back to finish the sliding door the next day. Within two days the job would have been finished. But Mike was not happy with one of the windows, he said it had a crack. It was so small I could not see it but he would not excepted it so they put in temporarily. Mike ordered another window. When it was finished they came a gain the hole group to Mikes crew to install the one window. It took three men to get the bad window out, it showed me how good they if they just tacked this window in and took three men to get it out with pry bars. It gave me a feeling that the other windows were installed with great skill and care to see my family happy for a life time. The window are Anlin windows Systems and they are great. You can not believe how clear they and the screens are so cleat that you all most thank they are not there. One of the best experiences I've ever had, especially dealing with construction. Everyone I encountered was very respectful and courteous. I felt well taken care of throughout the whole process. I had 13 windows and a slider replaced and the guys didn't even take a full day to do the job. And kept the whole place clean while they were doing it. We had California Showcase Construction install a custom 60 foot aluminum patio cover over the entire back of our house. It was a large job. Lights on the posts. The crew was there at 8:30AM and the entire project was completed by 4:30PM. The guys cleaned up. It looked like no one had even been there. Professional from start to installation. While I am sure this company does quality work this review is not about the work or the product. I was very disappointed with the individual who came out to talk about the product and do the initial measurements. In essence the sales person. I spent nearly 30 years in sales and I know most of the tricks but I never left anything out when making my presentations. After spending 2 hours telling me and convincing me about how wonderful this company is (and I believe they are very reputable) he failed to mention that the payment that you will be making on your property tax includes 2.5% in additional monthly fees if you go through the HERO program. In my case that came to almost $50 a month ... nearly $600 a year in additional fees that were left out of the "bottom line". When caught the explanation was "there are always fees". This was in addition to 8.9% interest. To say the least I felt this is a lie of omission. Be sure if you use HERO or if you allow someone into your home to make a presentation that you have a computer handy to figure out what the real cost is going to be. read more
