Came here on a Friday night at their new location in the mall which is slightly bigger than their last location. Let me start by saying everything that we ordered came out exactly how we ordered it. The only thing that needs improvement is their sever. I used to be a sever for three years at a chain restaurant and I know how busy it can be. However, his time management skills were lacking. Maybe he's a new sever but he seemed like he always forgot something. I asked for a pizza box and had to ask the bartender for one instead because we paid our bill and still waited for like 10 minutes until I gave up. I think he had a lot of tables and management should probably consider hiring more severs because this ruined the experience. I don't plan on coming here for awhile. read more

Overall, my friend and I had a nice dinner at CPK which is now located on the second floor at GSP. I arrived before my friend and when I asked to be seated the manager told me they "technically can't do that" since I was by myself. I found this extremely odd, not only because there were plenty of tables available, but because that's something I would expect at a fine dining establishment. I've never encountered that while dining at such a casual place. Our server, Andre, was fantastic and energetic. I've given CPK 4 chances in the past two years, and I can't seem to love this place. The service is always slow and shoddy, the food is sub par, and the employees always look bored and annoyed. It's hard to have a good experience here. My go to dish is the chicken tequila fettuccine. It's rich, creamy and has a nice little zing to it. On my most recent visit, I wasn't feeling carbs, so I decided to go for a Cobb salad. The portion size was very filling, and everything was fresh and organized neatly. I tried to get extra dressing, but my waitress kept forgetting, and I eventually gave up. We also had the spinach dip and avocado egg rolls, both of which were decent tasting. They moved from the ground floor parking level location that felt like a dungeon, to a new bright, well appointed, open floor-plan location on the main floor. We had lunch there last week; with outside seats that give the feel of a European street side cafe. I ordered scrod, which was dry and slightly over cooked, my wife ordered a salad. I haven't been here since 1999 when I used to work as a hostess during one college summer job. So much has changed including the menu! How could they have gotten rid of the Rosemary chicken and potato pizza?!!!??? We came Friday night and was shocked that there was no wait. I was even more shocked that they added tables on the 2 floor between the booths. Some advice-if the hostess seats you at the first table on the 2nd floor in between the booths asked to be moved. We kept getting bumped around as people were being walked to their tables by the food runners and bussers. Worst seat ever. Our server Brittany however was awesome! She made great recommendations and was really engaging and sweet! Their new agave mojito was watered down, but their strawberry basil martini was delicious. Unfortunately not consistent though because the 2nd martini I ordered was overly sweet and viscous as if they didn't water it down with the alcohol; I couldn't even finish it. Now I know this is called "pizza kitchen" but I am in love with their Quinoa and Arugala Salad in their "Lite Adventures" section. No matter what salad you get, make sure to try the Champagne Vinaigrette...SO GOOD! The Quinoa Salad is healthy, fresh, and delicious. I actually have yet to try their pizza, but their flat breads are around 400 calories for a meal. Not bad. We sat down and was looking at the menu and our waitress came to us with the worst attitude. After we ordered, we got our drinks. When we asked for bread, the waitress rolled her eyes and said yeah. A waiter brought us three pieces of bread. I asked if it would be possible to get another piece since there was 4 of us and if we could get side plates. She, again, rolled her eyes and said yeah. We never got them. We were a little frustrated at this point, but decided to just let it go. But when the food came, we were disappointed even more. We ordered our usual: Tricolore Salad Pizza, Kung Pao Spaghetti, Garlic Cream Fettucine and Shrimp Scampi Pizza. Like I mentioned, we've ordered these countless times in the past. The Tricolore Salad Pizza was missing tomatoes- we asked twice for them and never got them. The Garlic Cream Fettucine had no cheese in it and was just fettucine in liquid milk (no seasoning very bland). Then, our Kung Pao Spaghetti- almost half of it was chili peppers! When we told the waitress about the chili peppers, she had an attitude saying "that's what it usually is." After I explained that usually there isn't this many, with the worst attitude she said "so I'll tell them to take it out." We were so upset about her attitude and the food quality, we got the manager, got the check and left. Bottom line is: if you can't handle all these customers, then make them wait. Yes I know some will be surprised but I like CPK and always have even from way back in 80s. Way better choice than other mall places here - CPK food is relatively healthy, well made and service is very efficient and friendly. The cal style pizza is odd to many as are many other menu thjngs - but they are fresh and healthy (mostly) reasonably prices and they have a nice bar here too - especially useful when your GF has to shop for ages on end in the mall and you're bored out of your mind. read more

This place is just amazing. I need to come back ASAP. This was my first time and it was a great experience. Yes it's small and they stack the tables on top of each other but it makes you feel like you're in New York. The server Rainbow was super nice and just perfect!! She was super sweet as well. I signed up on the app before I came and they give you a free small plate. Ordered the quesadillas which were delicious even though they had black beans in it, which I hate. The ranch sauce was delicious as well, I think it had chipotle in it. Saved that for the pizza too. The BBQ chicken pizza was just perfect. I've been here a handful of times. The service has always been subpar but I don't expect much from a chain in the mall. This time though I was surprised at just how awful the service was. First, we were sat in the middle of the smaller end of the dining room. Then within the next 10-15 minutes three other groups were sat around us on booths and the other tables. No one came to the table, but I could see two male waiters arguing about who should take what table. They did a rock paper scissor and divided. I don't know how else they decided... This is 20 minutes in. One of the waiters visits the table next to us that just sat 5 minutes ago and offers them water. I wave over and he points to no one (as if trying to say we have a waiter coming). The other waiter goes to the booth table. It's been 25 minutes. I'm a patient person but this is ridiculous. Some waiter goes to a booth that came 20 minutes after us and brings them bread and water. At this point I'm getting pissed because it's been 30 minutes since we sat and we have menus and NO ONE has even TALKED to us. Finally someone brings us bread - no words- and says, "wait one Minute"! (Ok?) So I called for a waiter and they gave me the "wait sign". My boyfriend over hears the waiters say "oh no one went over there... they don't look too mad". After another ten minutes... at this point I'm fuming but I'm also starving and they had already given us bread. I also gave a little extra patience because it was the holiday season. Eventually someone comes sauntering over after I see the manager giving him a talking to..... and he says so nonchalantly "you guys still want something to drink or eat right?". No!!!!!!! We're just sitting here waiting to watch you guys fumble it all night? We're at a restaurant to eat. I couldn't believe that. I got up and said "of course we wanted to eat we waited here for almost 45 minutes". They didn't apologize but I could see the manager was extremely angry, I know she was mad at the staff and I just don't feel bad. I called after we left and spoke with her and she was very apologetic. She said she knew exactly what happened and offered us a free meal if we came back but I was so angry I don't think I'll ever come back there (that's how you know I'm not writing this review for any other reason. I want management to know their workers on this night (12.23) were awful. I work in restaurant management and this isn't it folks. I did express sympathy knowing it was the holiday season but manager ASSURED me this was not a factor in what the issue was.) We were IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DINING ROOM. I've been a CPK fan for the majority of my 20 years as a passionate pizza enjoyer. But the new location in GSP just isn't leveling up to the full potential of this place. No matter which location you go to CPK is going to be packed and probably loud - which is all fine and part of the atmosphere, just make sure you're prepared to wait at least 25 minutes. This one is slightly smaller than the old one, too. Since this location is inside of the mall, I'd recommend putting your name down before doing some of your shopping to pass the wait time. I've always loved CPK here, but my last visit to the new location upstairs left me doubtful. I ordered the "original BBQ chicken pizza" - thinking this one would be one of their best since it was one of their first specialties. But parts of the dough were crispier than an expired rice cracker from the back of the pantry, and there was soo much excess powder covering the dough. I was covered in pizza dust by the end of my meal. Plus, this was supposed to be a normal crust pizza as it was listed in a section separate from the thin crusts, but it was most definitely the thinnest of crusts. Other than that, the barbecue sauce was a good amount, and thankfully was able to mask the dried out chicken. My chicken on the pizza was fine because of all the other flavors in it, but the grilled chicken on my sister's cobb salad was tasteless. Maybe some of the other pizzas are better, but if they're branding themselves based on one of their "staff picks" and supposedly OG pizza recipes then I'm not exactly optimistic. Service was pretty quick, but abrupt. We went late but the place was pretty cleared out by the end and we felt a little rushed to leave. Overall, the old CPK was simply just better, I'll need to tour a few others to see if it's a chain-wide downward spiral or just this location. read more

Took my kids to the restaurant at my son's request since he just graduated from 8th grade. On our way there, I was telling them that a few years back, they had a carne asada pizza to die for but they no longer have it. The kids asked me why did the restaurant discontinued that pizza, I informed them that probably it was a slow mover. We get to the place and the hostess was not as cordial that I would wanted her to be but sometimes that happens. We got a table and we started to view the menu when my daughter pointed out to me that they had a carne asada pizza and it was a new item, I was glad and of course, I ordered. PROS: This place is a nice place to grab lunch and relax while being in the mall. The set up is nice by having tables both inside the restaurant and out in the hall fenced off. The bar sits in the mall's hallway as well. The place is clean, the staff is nice, and many people come by. CONS: unfortunately in order to get to this place you have to go through the mall rather than having an entrance outside the mall. Their pizza was also very soggy when we received it. Eating at the new location for the first time was a very disappointing experience. The passion tea tasted like water with a hint of flavor. The Margherita pizza was plain with two bits of tomatoes and dry. The fish tacos included one small thin piece of fish. The salsa served with the chips was extremely hot. Just had lunch here and thought the food was fresh and had great flavor. Although the BBQ pizza could use some tweaking. ( more BBQ sauce and chicken. Also they should post a sign on the window next to Zinburger . We thought the place was out of business and until we went in Zinburger and asked we almost walked away. They need more staffing too. The bathroom was a mess. Stainless steel is not the way to go , it always looks dirty unless wiped down all the time. No seat covers in the stall and the door has such a big gap you have no privacy. I would have written this review last night, but I was stuffed and tired, I waited until I was fully awake to give a proper review To start off, Mercedes, our waitress, is an excellent example of how waiting at tables should be done. She apologized on behalf of the cooks who were backed up in the kitchen from all the orders, despite the fact that we weren't concerned with it since it hadn't felt like a long wait in the first place. I love CPK! Went around 2PM and it was packed, but managed to get a table within 10min. The tables were pretty close together, but service was great. The pizza was really good, but it was cut weird - one of the slices took up almost 1/3 of the pizza. One pizza is definitely too much for one person though. Menu: The menu is on the verge of being gigantic; composed of many different tapas, appetizers, meals, desserts, and drinks. But, it covers almost every option under the sun so whatever you want, you more than likely can get it at CPK. Service: The wait staff was friendly, accommodating, informative, helpful, and ticket times were as expected considering the amount of people eating. Food: My wife and I frequented CPK twice and haven't really had a chance to go back since. The first time we went nuts; we had mac and cheese bites, tortilla spring roles, lettuce wraps, the dumplings. The second time we had spicy sausage pablano and fennel flatbread, fish tacos, and the bianco flatbread. Overall, I gather some of the food is frozen but the general presentation and flavor is not bad. The food is fun and tastes as good as a chain restaurant can provide. Bar: Full. The fact this place is in the mall and you can get sloshed in it is crazy. The beer selection is decent considering and the prices aren't too bad. Price: Each plate alone might not cost a lot, but the serving size will trick you. Once you order a few dishes it will get expensive fast. I don't think I've left here spending less than $60 for two people. It's not too big of an issue though; you're here to have fun. Overall: I definitely want to return and try the habanero pizza, but be forewarned your experience might be detracted some if it's busy. Took my friend here for dinner last week -- service was great and our server was very attentive. What could go wrong? I always try to tip in cash because servers prefer cash over tipping on card. Got the bill, charged it onto my card then hailed down another server asking if she had change for a $20. She did and handed me 1 $10, 1 $5 and 5 singles. I crossed off the tip line and wrote cash. Tipped $16. I remember the bill being around $70. I checked my statement two days ago (surprisingly I never do this but because I got a new CC so I happen to browse my online banking) and saw that CPK took out $92.18. I was confused because I vividly remember the bill being $70 something. And I ALWAYS tip in cash. I asked my friend if she remembered if I tipped in cash and she said I did. Honestly, I was confused but wanted to figure out the solution to this. Our male server was very attentive and friendly so I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe this was an.. honest mistake? The extra charge wasn't the problem but the feeling of being cheated on made me feel so uneasy. My friend told me servers do this all the time and it's so common which caught me so off guard. I NEVER thoroughly check my statements from restaurant bills.. now I'm overthinking if this has happened before but I never noticed. I contacted CPK and spoke with the manager who was willing to figure out what happened -- he didn't seem in shock btw (maybe this always happens? Who knows) and said he would have to investigate. Luckily, I called a week after so he had all the receipts saved from the week we visited. He said he would give me a call back once he finds out more information. 24 hours later, I did not hear back. I called again to follow up. I seemed to catch him off guard and he seemed apologetic for not calling back. He explained that it was busy (I understand..) but found out who the server was. Regardless, we both got lunch specials. I ordered the mushroom and spinach lunch sized pizza with the spinach and quinoa salad. The food came quickly and was pretty good! Not stellar, but in my experience CPK does not have food to write home about. If you want a cheap and fast lunch at GSP I'd probably go with something in the food court, but I think this is a great option if you want to be served. Saturday night super busy. Waitress was very sweet. The food wait was a bit long. 40mins geez I had the Baja chicken rolls that were very good. Buffalo cauliflower was ok. Service was awful. Waited 10 minutes for someone to come over to us. Asked for drinks and waited another 10 minutes while server (Peggy) talked to all her other customers about an awards program. We asked where are drinks were and put in an order for pizza. Finally order came after another 15-20 minutes. They didn't give us plates. The pizza wasn't hot. Finally after waiting so long for our drink order and food, asked to see a manager. He apologized and said they were busy and it was her job to sell award programs. She was always talking to everyone else and not getting our order. He said he would cover our order. But he didn't. We waited for over 30 minutes for the bill and asked Peggy if the manager covered the bill. She said no even though she didn't check with him. Complained she worked since 10 an and told us that she used to be a manager. She said she'd pay the bill. That she had money. Like we didn't. Opened up her purse and threw her credit card down.
