I travel once a month to Jersey for work and I'm always looking for a good pizza place I ordered a pepperoni mushroom pizza tonight, delivered to my hotel it came piping hot and was absolutely delicious! Not sure what kind of tomato sauce they're using for the pizza but I am completely impressed, it was savory and the crust was cooked perfectly! I like my wings crispy so I ordered wings well done which I've done a lot of places and they come out not well done. My wings were nice and crispy just like I wanted them. I'm pretty honest with my reviews so I have to say I will definitely be back. I was also very impressed with the delivery time as it stated 55 to 70 minutes and it was here within 25 minutes And not only to the hotel in 25 minutes but fresh and hot. The delivery driver was excellent he had utensils paper plates napkins everything I needed and was very friendly. I give this location a very honest 5 star. 100% satisfied! Thank you! read more

This was my first visit to Savino's. It was a Saturday at 11am. I just assumed it was a bigger place but there's two tables with four chairs. Luckily, a table was available. From the eight pizzas available, I ordered one Sicilian slice. It was oddly rectangular in shape but the size of two small Sicilian slices. I can't speak on the pizza but I came in for some mozzarella sticks and it was delicious. The order came with a generous amount of mozzarella sticks and a lot of sauce on the side. A family member was at a nearby hospital and we wanted to bring in food. We stopped by Savino's three times. The folks who work there are very friendly. Food was ready when expected. Hot and fresh always. We loved everything we had. Pizza was tasty. Chicken parm sub was huge. We went three times! This is a solid mom and pop place. Was busy when I was there. I'd like to say the food is good here, but I never got any. I'm not too sure why the Savinos menu is in this hotel room if they're such a sub-par establishment. Like, seriously, if you guys didn't want to make the order - literally a single cheesesteak wrap and 2 bottles of water, you could have canceled it and I would have had time to go get food elsewhere. Haven't been in a while but the pizza tonight was excellent. Asked for well done and it came perfectly cooked. Pepperoni roll was also good at both ends but the middle needed to be cooked more, the pepperoni wasn't cooked through. Definitely will be putting Savino's into my rotation. read more

My favorite pizza and subs in the area. I've had nothing but great experiences here. Their pizza is always cooked perfectly and has such a great taste. Generous with the cheese, too. Not overly saucy. HUGE subs, meat piled high and always on fresh bread, never stale like some places. Prices are very fair too. What's not to love? read more

No thanks, I'm good... There's other pizza places around I can go to... Nearly every time I order here they get my order wrong. Then when I ask them to correct it, they act as if it's my fault (they do correct it). They're also expensive. I usually go through cycles where I get frustrated with them and don't order from them for a few years then I give them a chance again because they're so close to my house. Unfortunately, it seems to happen every time I order there. I really want to like them, I really do but it's just not happening for me. read more

The pizza here seems a bit expensive compared to other pizza options in the area. We ordered the Savino's Special, which was pretty good but nothing to write home about. I suppose for the value from toppings, it is better than most of the other lizza options. Add in a couple of salads, and our party of four had a meal. I'll come here from time to time again, but it's an average pizza shop. read more

Tired, hungry and in need of a bathroom today. Walked in and asked for a bathroom before we ordered. " We don't have a bathroom for the public, " she said. My husband asked her to please let me use the private bathroom. " No, it's dangerous to go downstairs " How does this place get by with no public bathroom ? What kind of laws do you have regarding food establishments in your county? Unbelievable ! No food review as we left ! But the place was not busy except for the staff's cars on the side....so that doesn't say much about the food either.. The Restroom Access Law would be of interest to the owner, I would think. Restrooms must be able to accessed by someone in need. The " busy " girls could have been kind to us and suggested the Tom Sawyer diner which is on the other side of the parkway but they didn't ... Not too many places open because of the new year so my smoking hot wife and I deviated from our go-to. Let me just say, we will definitely be coming back. We ordered penne vodka, rigatoni bolognese, and a shrimp parm hero. Everything was absolutely fantastic. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Vodka sauce and bolognese was so tasty. Let me begin by saying I have been a faithful Savino's customer for more than ten years. They used to be good. Gradually, the quality went down but I continued to order from them since there are minimal options in Paramus and to be honest they do have the best sauce so their mussels are awesome. The pizza however leaves a lot to be desired lately. I always order my pie well done to make sure the dough is crispy since I prefer that to a soggy floppy pie. Today I had enough and I called to let them know I was dissatisfied with my delivery- after explaining the situation and two brief holds they agreed to bring me another but wanted the pie that was originally delivered to be returned. Half of which was eaten after I cranked up my oven to cook the grandma pie (minus the pepperoni ordered and paid for) to the desired crispness. When I said half the pie was already eaten I was told so why do you want another. Bad business!! If Savino can afford to lose business so be it. My Friday night pizza will come from somewhere else going forward. read more

Stopped at this restaurant for the very first time and wanted to get a chicken cheesesteak, (they already offered a regular cheesesteak) and was told no. Then I asked for a grilled chicken sandwich on focaccia bread instead of whatever bread it came up with and again they said no. I would give this place zero stars if it was an option. I visit/order from Savinos once in awhile for their Chicken Parm hero. I think it's absolutely fantastic! The breaded chicken is to perfection and the way the sauce and the cheese melt in to the bread for a savory soft bread that just melts in to your mouth when you bite in to it. Only thing is if you order via phone, expect to wait over 30-40 minutes. When I pick up my sandwiches, I usually call 20 minutes in advance and yet I find myself waiting for an extra 5 minutes or so. The first time I encountered Savino's Pizza was in November 2016, and it was awesome. I.mean.awesome! Great pizza, great stromboli, good prices, quick service, fantastic delivery! I ordered regularly for several months before leaving the area. A year later, I came back to the area in December 2017, for a month, and once again ... great prices, great pizza (always fresh), and fantastic service. Now, after more travel for work, I've returned to the area, and am completely disappointed. The slices are regularly old, stale and tasteless, and the service is terrible. On more than one occasion, I've gone in to buy a couple of slices, with no one in line, and the counter-help makes me wait 2-3 minutes, while they (yes, there's usually more than one person there) ... talk to each other, clean the counter, restock the soda fridges ... The worst experience was when I stopped by to buy slices for the family one evening. I ordered three slices of pepperoni, and one plain slice. While waiting, i engaged in conversation with a man (and his son) that had arrived and ordered prior to me. After some time, they let me know that my 3+1 slices were ready. The man asked about the status of his four pepperoni slices - and was told "they aren't ready yet." I found it fascinating that my four slices took less time to absorb heat from the oven than his four slices ... perhaps it was because he was black? We'll never know - but it was strangely curious. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed in the 'crash-and-burn' status of the business. As a result, I've discovered several other shops nearby, and have found Scardino's to be making good progress (having taken over Kings' pizza) ... Scardino's isn't the best pizza i've ever had, but it's quick, affordable, tasty and the service is efficient. They're my new "go-to" shop. read more

i ordered delivery today and I'd give my meal a 3 out of 5 stars. Here's what I ordered: -Plain slice: It was a decent and typical slice of pizza. It wasn't amazing or horrible. The crust is very thin, which I like but it was lacking flavor. -French fries: I asked for crispy fries because I know some restaurants serve their fries on the soggy side, which I can't stand. The fries looked very crispy but they weren't. I'm not sure how or why that happened. -Buffalo wings: They were over-fried and didn't have a lot of meat on them. The buffalo sauce came on the side. Overall, I'll order pizza from Savinos again but not the fries or buffalo wings. I was disappointed but maybe my expectations were too high. That just sounds like idiocy, and you are probably a Yelp troll. What are you 15 years old? What the hell are you ordering that a pizzaria can mess up or have to fix? Whatever.. The ingredients they use are top notch, and all trumps flour instead of the usual high gluten sticky chewy pillsbury flour. I will agree, some of the items are pricey, but you get what you pay for.. Go for extra cheese pie well done, you won't find reddish orange grease because their cheese is 100% high quality.. This is classic comfort "Luxury" classic pizza - they've been there since the 1980's.. Same family operated owners! I'm sorry, but you can't keep an establishment that serves food in business that long if their food wasn't worthwhile. Some people think Domino's is pizza and some people think Costco pizza is better.. If you fall in those categories, don't bother eating here, and try 7-11's one dollar slices , and get a slurpee while ur at it..
