    Drunken Grandma pizza

NJ pizza blows New England pizza out of the water every time. As soon as I walked in this place, I knew it was gonna be good. Crowded on a Friday, tons of guys working. You can watch them make the pizzas behind a glass divider. The Drunken Grandma sicilian pie was excellent. Essentially a plain pie with vodka sauce instead of marinara.

A bit dingy inside and outdated restaurant booths, BUTTTTT this spot reminds me all too well of the classic pizzerias I knew and loved as a child. With an interior straight out of the streets of NYC (and I should know since I grew up there), not only does Anthony Francos look the part, their pizza taste the part too - if that makes sense???? Unbeknownst to me the first time we came here, Anthony Franco's is actually part of a large chain of pizzerias in NJ. I've now had the chance to try their pizza a few times, including once when my company ordered a ridiculously large number of different pies from them and, honestly, they knocked it out of the park. I've tried their regular cheese slice, pepperoni, sausage, veggie, white, vodka, upside down and eggplant slices and all of them were really good. Really good as in not too thick, not too thin and a nice even breading to the regular slices (not counting the ones that had a massive undercarriage of dough). To be honest, this has been the closest thing that I've tried to a very, very good NY slice in northern NJ. Granted, I haven't even come close to going to every pizzeria in the county, so take it for what it's for. The only knock I do have is that they make a thick version of the Buffalo and Upside Down slices along with thin versions, which I don't understand, but go for the thin one. The thick slices are really unnecessary and way too thick in breading, unless you're looking to carb load for a marathon. Definitely on our list of NJ spots to just hit up if we're in need of a quick slice.

Went to grab a quick lunch with my boyfriend, walked in and was transported back to my childhood. The old authentic booths, the garlic shakers with oregano and red pepper flakes the glass cases for the pizza with the men working right in front of you. The vibes are exactly what you want when you walk into an old school pizza place. It's clear this place is a community favorite and that people have been going here for a long time. They were quick. The food was good and they even were accommodating to my dairy allergy. My boyfriend loved the soup and the ricotta eggplant slice. My salad was typical salad but delicious and awesome for the price. Would return!

Omg seriously. So good. No other words. They're quick and the pizzas are so yummy. I can't deal lol very friendly and the location is simple with parking. Thank you. The food didn't make it home. No bend on a heavy pizza.

If they send you a sloppy mess like this, don't expect a replacement. Really disappointed in the customer service from a place we used to go to all the time. Won't be back.

$3.75 for a pepperoni slice . They have many slices available, I wasn't sure which one to get, so I choose the pepperoni . You get a very good amount of pepperoni and the slice tasted decent. If I'm in the area and wants a quick bite, I wouldn't mind stopping in again.

Attended a training course and the facilitators ordered pizzas and a salad from here for us to have. One of the best pizzas I've ever had! I had a few veggie slices and absolutely loved them! The veggies were full of flavor, pizza bottom wasn't flimsy, fluffy, and not overly greasy. Really loved it. Even took a picture of the pizza box to make sure I order from them again.

Your typical spot with good pizza, lots of options, and nice staff. Closest thing to a Brooklyn pizza you can get, especially in Paramus.

Food is good but flies inside the restaurant during winter?! Mentioned it to the server but didn't seem to care. Not sure we'd be back here.

I felt a little like Ray Liotta in "Goodfellas". The service was excellent and our waiter rattled off an extensive list of daily specials and they all sounded wonderful. We settled on burrata and a fried vegetable appetizer. The burrata was good but the fried thing was even better. I wish I could remember what it was because it was so good. I guess that's what I get for writing my reviews 2 months later. It was some kind of vegetable stuffed with cheese, battered and fried. It wasn't too oily and all the flavors and textures went well together. For our entrees we went with linguini in clam sauce and cavatelli, broccoli rabe, & sausage. The linguini was a solid plate of pasta. Linguini, clams, sauce. It tasted exactly how you expect it would and the pasta was cooked well. The cavatelli was much more interesting to me. The different textures and flavors really made it a joy to eat. The pasta was al dente while some of the sausage had some crispy bits to it. And the broccoli rabe kind of made me feeling like I was eating somewhat healthy The ambiance was nice if not a little dated. Not bad though, it was cozy. I'd come back, but not too often. It's pricey.

The dining area is one room adorned with attractive art decor and a glass wall overlooking the main road. The Caesar salad was a light, yet satisfying starter. The romaine lettuce, croutons and house made dressing blended the perfect trio! If you are looking for an appetizer with a touch of sweet and spice, the sausage & broccoli rabe will do the trick. The protein and vegetable blended well together with some diced tomatoes thrown on top. As always, I can never visit any Italian establishment without trying the Chicken Parmesan. For the most part, it did not disappoint. My sole critique is the excess amount of moisture beneath the linguini. I also used any extra mozzarella cheese as a topping for the pasta and table bread. Named after its restaurant, the chicken ciao bella was breaded and pan fried. The lemon butter sauce definitely added flavor to the cutlets and the side vegetables were just as "bella" as the main entree. The coffee flavored dessert was paradise. The taste as so rich and pure in flavor, you definitely didn't need coffee either this final course. I highly recommend this location if you want a decent meal at reasonable price. Other than that, a solid spot for Italian food if you enjoy that cuisine and are ok with the prices. The menu has a pretty large selection of foods, from pasta dishes and seafood to pizza to parms, chicken/veal, ravioli, and salads. (A note: I don't always like going out to Italian restaurants because they can be pricey for the value [and i can't help but confidently think that i could make it for a fraction of the price], especially if the pasta isn't homemade.) I ordered the penne with broccoli rabe ($25) and for that price I would have wanted A LOT of broccoli rabe to be satisfied and perhaps a few more ingredients. It was tasty and filling but I didn't make a good choice there. The salmon penne was also well flavored, with some nice salmon pieces, rich sauce, peas. They also give you complimentary bread and what looked somewhat like garlic bread; both were good but added to the carbolicious experience. Service was pretty attentive. There's a 3% upcharge if you pay with a credit card. It's a bit dark in the restaurant, which adds to the nice ambiance. Parking is around back and seems not that big but we had no trouble parking.

She was very attentive and made our meal pleasant and comfortable. I started with a Blood Orange Margarita (Calirosa 'Rosa Blanca' Tequila, orange liqueur, fresh sour, blood orange). This drink was VERY GOOD. The hint of blood orange was the perfect amount of sweetness and I was content with my selection. The appetizer was the Slow-Roasted Meatballs (porcini-dusted veal, pork, grass-fed beef, tomato-basil sauce, brick-oven bread). Each meatball was tender, flavorful, well seasoned, and the sauce was sufficient to accompany every forkful of the delicious starter. The entrees were: Caramelized Sea Scallops (broccolini, mascarpone risotto). Next was the Seasonal Brick-Oven Gnocchi (roasted mushrooms, truffle oil, roasted tomatoes, Marsala and provolone sauce, green onions). The final entree was the Mediterranean Wood-Grilled Chicken Salad (arugula, toybox tomatoes, kalamata olives, red onions, chickpeas, quinoa, feta, lemon dijon vinaigrette). For dessert, Seasons 52 graciously offered a free dessert for my birthday. Another nice touch that places Seasons 52 on a pedestal. I chose the Key Lime Pie Mini (graham cracker crust, whipped cream). The mini dessert was deliciously sweet, the graham crust provided an appreciated different texture, and I highly recommend these mini selections.
