So placing my order was super easy . I called back to pay over the phone . Then I was called back because my card did not go through. When it actually did . I was charged 3 times and my garlic knots were burnt when I called back the manager said they were crispy and we went back and forth for about 2 mins over the phone until he agreed to send me a new order . below are the knots . You be the judge . They did send me a new order of knots this time under cooked .... how do u mess up knots I'm really not sure . When I asked about the over charge they said they had canceled it . I work right around the corner from this location, and out of desperation, have ended up here more than I'd like to admit. From my experience, it seems they can only manage to do one thing -- make decent pizza -- and only part of the time at that. Their quality control might as well be the inspiration behind Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold". At least, my takeout slices tend to waiver between both, depending on what I order and who's working the ovens. Typically, I've noticed the thicker "gourmet" style slices tend to be under-warmed. The prices are also pretty steep. My plain slice and specialty white cauliflower square came to $7.50 alone. As for their sub sandwiches and entree dishes, I'd skip them. I've had a sandwich that left me feeling not so hot in the past, and their pasta dishes always have a watery sauce that doesn't cling to the noodles what so ever. The chicken rolls are dry and boring and garlic knots are okay, but you could easily find better. Some of the guys that work here are nice, but everyone's always sort of putzing around and joking with each other because they often schedule more workers than needed. Either that or their chatting up the new waitress of the month that'll be gone before you can say "extra cheese". It's nothing to rustle your Jimmie's over. Commercial joint suitable for a quick stop on Route 17. Nothing to write home about. Just about what I expect highway pizza to be. Mostly, junior likes this sort of grease slick so I don't quibble. As for me. My Manhattan and Brooklyn roots and pizza experiences from the 50's and 60's sets a standard that the average slice just can't satisfy. Glad to have been of service for my little guy. Friendly service. The largest selection of premade pies I have ever seen and I eat a lot of pizza. Pizza is exceptionally thick here. Good if you're into that but definitely an oddity in the Northern NJ area. The flavors: the sauce is oddly sweet. Why is it so sweet? I had a chicken parm slice and it just had an odd smell. Couldn't quite put my finger on what it was but I didn't finish it. And I always finish my food. I also had what they called an "upside down" slice. Cheese on the bottom, the odd sweet sauce on top. It was ok at best. Felt like the Brooklyn frozen pizza you find at Whole Foods. Each slice is $4.25. Big slices so fair prices. But overall I can't recommend it. I won't be going back. read more

You know it's a good sign when you see a bunch of county cop cars outside a pizza joint. Well actually... i guess that depends on who you are and what kind of trouble you have caused. But for the most part it's a very good sign because them po po sure know their food. I am glad to say I have found my new go to pizza spot when I am visiting home. Although there are several decent pizza places back in Fair Lawn I will definitely be willing to make the trip a little out of my way for the comfort and satisfaction of knowing that I will get exactly what I am looking for. To start off you will walk into a clean, family friendly atmosphere with more pizzas on display than you can count. Seriously, I am an accountant and I got tired of counting after 25. There are countless fresh toppings and combination to choose from. Use your imagination and they can probably do it up. To me pizza has no perfect dough consistency or thickness. It depends on what I am in the mood for. But it does need to be crispy. I love that crunch. Anthony Francos offers just that with thin crust, thick crust and sicilian slices. I have tried the buff chik, margarita a la vodka, and the chicken bacon ranch. All were delightful and I cant wait to come to try new pizzas and pastas next time I am in town. Used to be one of my faves...unfortunately, no longer. We stopped in for dinner with our 2 young Grands, to eat-in, they forgot to give our order to the kitchen so we waited a lonnnng time, not easy with 2 little ones. The table service was very poor, took till the end of our meal to get the bread that came with the pasta dish. My main problem though is the bathrooms, there are 2, only one was in working order and it was disgusting, shredded toilet paper all over the floor because people can't be bothered with the air dryer and if this is the same bathroom that the employees use...YUCK!!! Anthony Franco's is not my go to pizzeria in Paramus. I like it and I order here every once in a while when with friends or if I feel like changing it up at home. The pizza is fine. Pretty standard. I like their specialty pies. The Philly cheesesteak is good and the baked ziti pie is good too. Margarita and plain are just ok. Don't really love it but don't hate it either. This is a decent pizza place if you live in the area but I wouldn't travel for more than 3 miles to get to it though. If you live in the city and you're used to pizza joints at every street corner this will probably be just average. I like the fact that it's clean and they use quality ingredients. The pizza sauce is VERY sweet which I personally like. Unfortunately the crust, although thin it's very crispy - for some this might work but I personally don't like crispy crust. For awhile I was sleeping on Anthony Franco's; I had ordered the regular pie a couple times and thought nothing more. I recently revisited their menu, and was surprised to see a grandma pie listed. Perhaps it was a recent addition, because I hadn't noticed it before. I've ordered the grandma a few times, and it's increased my opinion of Anthony Franco's. I enjoyed the pie's dough, which is kinda chewy with some crisp, the sweeter sauce of crushed tomatoes, and its light dusting of seasoning and parmesan. The drawback was that I felt the cheese was slightly rubbery when not piping hot. Overall, it was a solid grandma pie. Recommended for that. read more

Really friendly service, fast to bring you food but don't rush you. You have the option to order take out or dine in, and if you dine in, you can take a booth of your choice and a waiter comes to you. Staff really helpful and accommodating. Food is pretty good, just needs more flavor. They have lots of great options from soup to salad to pizza to pasta to sandwiches, dinners, etc. definitely come and check the place out, they would be happy to have you! I've been coming here for years. The pizza is always good; nothing to complain about. I came here tonight for dinner and ordered my favorite dish- chicken francese over angel hair pasta. This dish had absolutely no flavor. I was quite disappointed with the dish. Not once did I taste even a hint of lemon. The chicken was cooked just fine, but still no flavor. It was boring to eat. Something else that was annoying was the guy behind the counter asked if we wanted bread on the side so we said yes. The bread was never brought to us. While we were sitting in our booth I hear him yell out, I look up and he's waving his hand to get my attention to tell me the bread is ready and I had to go up to get it. That's not service. If you're going to bring me my entree, why do I have to get up to get the bread? Doesn't make sense. Also, the utensils were dirty. I grabbed a knife from the "clean" knives and it was gross(picture attached). It's very unfortunate because this was the place to go for a quick bite to eat. Chicken francese is not their forte and definitely not worth the $18 I spent for it. read more

Anthony Franco's is a frequent lunch spot for the group at my office, meaning we go there at least twice a week. Luckily there is a large variety on the menu at the restaurant to choose from. I have seen my coworkers order various slices of specialty pizza, hot sandwiches and very nice looking salads. I usually opt for the Special Salad with grilled chicken. The ingredients are always fresh and the salad is consistent. I like that the greens are lightly dressed and there is no guilt that comes with it at all. I would recommend ordering a small unless you are looking to share the salad or bring some home for later because the portions are very generous here. AF's is bright and welcoming, the staff is always so friendly and seemingly happy to see us, the ceilings are tall and the temperature inside the resultant is often comfortable (sometimes pizza places are waaaay too hot in the summer time!) One of my favorites in the area, definitely check it out. read more

we've been long time customers of the Paramus location. Food was good, service was typical of a pizza place. Most of the servers are polite. The place has become run down but we endured. Occasionally the food was subpar but we endured because most times the food was excellent. Recently because of Covid the cooks have changed. The last time we ordered take out, the pizza and calamari were way overcooked. That means the cheese on the pizza had browned and was chewy, very difficult to bite through. The calamari was hard like cardboard, not plump and juicy when quickly flash fried. Texture was like when food gets freezer burnt, no moisture in it. Anyway I called back to request them to remake the order. All I wanted was for them to cook the order again. The guy that I spoke to started to insist that they were cooked like normal and I was always complaining. With that said I simply drove back and returned the food for a refund. We endured bad food but will not take bad service. Customers have a right to complain when food is subpar, and the right to not spend their money at that establishment. read more

Ordered takeout from here last Thursday, as I was driving home on Route 17.  Let me start with the positives.  They were quick, the food was hot, and they were polite over the phone.  Now as to the 3 out of 5 star review.  I ordered a sausage and pepper roll and a buffalo chicken roll.  The sausage and pepper roll was good.  There was a decent amount of sausage and they included a marinara sauce for dipping.  Now onto the buffalo chicken roll.  I could not finish it.  I bit into a pebble halfway through it.  I don't know where it came from or what was going on, but totally unacceptable. read more

Fantastic--pretty much sheer perfection for Neapolitan pizza. Arugula/goat cheese/beet salad was excellent. Italian submarine sandwich (ham and capocolla) was on the ideal fresh Italian bakery bread, and the meat was high quality and just sliced. Plus good service. I intend to stop in again. read more

I work at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Unit 12B. We have supported Anthony Franco's pizzeria for years not to mention during the entire COVID pandemic!!! Not just this unit but the entire hospital. From birthday parties, to retirement, and just plain old pizza enjoyment. On 6/28/2023 I called and placed an order at 11:00 am for 5 slices of pizza. The young lady who took my order asked for a phone number. I provided the phone number and she read me back the address it was associated with for confirmation. I told her the information was correct and provided the unit it would be going to. The order was placed and I was given a 45 minute time frame for delivery. At 12:00 pm the order had not received so I called the store. The manager told me the driver was outside so I went outside and stood for 10 mins, no driver. So I called back at 12:15 pm to inquire about our delivery. The male manager got on the phone and rudely said that he can no longer work with us. I asked him why and I also asked him why such a nasty attitude?! He said I told the other nurse the other day that if a cell phone number cannot be provided I was not delivering there. This was my first time hearing this as we have always given the floor phone number and extension for years!!!! I explained to him that none of this information was relayed to me when I placed my order so I was unaware of this. I explained we have been waiting over an hour for our delivery. He then stated that he was bringing his driver back and we not be getting our food!!!! That was totally unacceptable and the most horrible customer service ever!!! The real issue is that Anthony Franco's constantly changes drivers!!! The drivers do not or cannot follow very simple instructions to reach the building in which we are located. When you enter the hospital you make the FIRST and ONLY LEFT and follow that road all the way out!!! Our building is literally right there and we have never had this problem before! I had to leave and come pick up my order which I honestly don't think was ever sent out to begin with!!!! The manager just looked at me and gave no explanation or even apologize for the way he spoke to me on the phone or his crappy customer service. I have been working here for ten years and I've never encountered this issues. To be told that we can no longer order from Anthony Franco's and that you guys can no longer work with us is really sad. We really enjoyed the pizza and food from this pizzeria. I would also like to add that there have been times that we have ordered more than one pie and there would be no condiments that we asked for and no plates! If you order 3 pizzas common sense would be to send plates but to be told that we have to ask for plates and napkins is ridiculous!!! Just had diner at AF and this awesome veteran was next to me with his wife. I asked the waitress if I could pay the bill and she said they had already paid. I offered to refund the check and pick it up but she couldn't. I asked if they got a discount, On Veterans Day and she said "no the owner isn't offering anything" ON VETERANS DAY! What kind of awful business owner in Bergen County doesn't offer a Veteran a discount on Veterans Day. It's pizza pal. Cost you $.75 to make and it tasted like garbage. I had a slice and it was nothing to talk about. So disappointed in this place. I asked to speak to a manager but they said "they can't do anything the owner gives them no authority". Cleanliness is questionable. I've eaten here before because it's my wife's favorite place. I personally always thought it was mediocre. The reason for the one star has to do with cleanliness. I was just there last night and ordered a few slices. I placed my order with the young lady working there. The same young lady I would have to pay. Now, I don't know if it's just me but in the world of hospitality and food...you always have someone working a different station. The person handling food should NEVER handle money. The girl grabbed my slices with her hands and put them in the oven then took my credit card with the same hand and proceeded to charge me. She was also cleaning tables with a filthy damp rag and didn't wash her hands afterwards. I was furious but didn't say anything because of my wife. I was mad at the girl for being so inattentive with her hygiene in the work place. Then I seen one of the other workers do the exact same thing with the food and money. Easily one of my go to pizzerias in the Bergen county area! My family and I love all of their specialty pies like the penne ala vodka and chicken franchese pie not to mention their pastas and cold and hot subs. They also can make pretty much every specialty pie into a personal if you would like. They load on the topping when it comes to their pizzas and the crust is really tasty too. My mother and father are big fans to the shrimp parmigiana hero and dinner. The dinners are usually enough to feed two people and when I order the penne vodka it usually lasts me about 3 days for lunch. The garlic bread here is off the hook and sometimes I get melted mozzarella cheese on it to amp it up a bit more. Their prices are fair and the food is excellent quality. Delivery here is fast and efficient and they have never messed up my order. Love it here! read more

I ordered a sandwich from Anthony Franco's and told them I had a sesame and nut allergy. They assured me there was no nuts and that they had NO sesame and didn't carry any sesame in their restaurant. I opened the sandwich to see there was tons of sesame seeds on the bottom of the bread. When I went back to show them, and they did not take blame for it or for telling me there was no sesame on the bread. Did not even give a refund for what could have been a fatal mistake. The specialty slices here are great! I love the Philly Cheese Steak and Buffalo Chicken slices. Who else puts little potato chunks on a Philly Cheese Steak slice besides these guys? The Buffalo Chicken slice is loaded with bits of chicken doused in buffalo sauce but it also has cheese and marinara unlike other places Buffalo Chicken slices. The pizza's always good here. The only thing I don't like is that I can come here twice in a month and get charged a different price for the same things each time. Quick heads-up, the drinks in the fridge are sometimes not that cold but they'll gladly give you a cup that you can fill with ice if you ask them nicely. Also to note, even though there are other Anthony Francos throughout North Jersey, they don't all make the specialty slices the same way. read more

Our favorites are the grandmas style pizza (which is cheese on the bottom and sauce on the top) and the buffalo chicken pizza.
