If I could this place 0 stars I would. Staff is extremely rude and disrespectful. Screamed at by Paulie after my order was over 1 hr and 15 min. Late. He just kept on screaming 10 minutes, 10 minutes and wouldn't give me his name. And then hung up the phone. Girl taking orders couldn't handle phone and was extremely overwhelmed. Stating we got very busy and delivery would now be over 1 1/2 hrs. Also they wouldn't tell me when Greg the owner would be in. I called back to cancel order and girl taking order transfers me to Paulie and he stated yes I hung up on you. The specialty slices here are great! I love the Philly Cheese Steak and Buffalo Chicken slices. Who else puts little potato chunks on a Philly Cheese Steak slice besides these guys? The Buffalo Chicken slice is loaded with bits of chicken doused in buffalo sauce but it also has cheese and marinara unlike other places Buffalo Chicken slices. The pizza's always good here. The only thing I don't like is that I can come here twice in a month and get charged a different price for the same things each time. Quick heads-up, the drinks in the fridge are sometimes not that cold but they'll gladly give you a cup that you can fill with ice if you ask them nicely. Anthony Franco's is an awesome friendly local pizzeria! They have a ton of options and all are better than the next. Our favorites are the grandmas style pizza (which is cheese on the bottom and sauce on the top) and the buffalo chicken pizza. It used to be great, but the quality seems to be going down and whoever answers the phone, sometimes they aren't too friendly. I once accidentally ordered from another place in a nearby town, I was surprised how friendly they were and the quality of the food was great. The only problem was they are not that close and took little longer than we expected. I hope this place can be more polite and improve the quality as it used to be. Solid pizza joint! I usually stop by here during lunch time when the car is charging next door. Their pizza slices are really good and great variety. I've had their cheese slice and chicken vodka slice and both were relish. Great crust, delicious chew and give (oh yea, it's all because of all that glorious gluten). I generally don't eat the crust, it I eat their crust every time because the dough has a great sweetness to it and it has the perfect amount of chew... Their sauces are good, and like another reviewer said slightly on the sweet side but it works great with the seasoning on their cheese. The vodka chicken slice had HUGE and PLENTY CHUNKS of chicken with a creamy delicious vodka sauce on top of the cheese. Mm so good!!! $8.50 for a bottle water, vodka chicken slice and cheese slice is a AWESOME deal! So yes, this will be my go to place for a slice when I am in the area. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is the seafood salad. Had it and it was very bland...it was one of those previously frozen seafood mixes you see at Restaurant Depot and the texture and flavor of the seafood was just terrible. There are mussels, calamari rings, shrimp and other random seafoods tossed in a red wine vinegar and oil...the dressing was quite dull and I had to douse it in garlic powder and oregano to make it edible. But that's probably partly my fault for ordering a seafood salad at a pizza joint. My suggestion, just take it off the menu if it's not going to be superb because it's dragging their amazing pizza down! read more

Do not eat here. The service was the absolute rudest I have ever experienced in my life. They got my husbands order wrong and then wouldn't admit it. We bought another sandwich because it was 9:30 at night when we arrived. They actually turned the lights off on us at 10 pm and tried to kick us out. I only gave them a star because I had to. I like this place for a quick bite to eat. The pizza is solid with a nice choice of different specialty pies. The chicken bacon ranch slice is really great, but you can never go wrong with that combo. They have giant sandwiches too, I like to get the grilled chicken with fresh mutz, I can eat half for dinner and half for lunch. They have whole slew of different slices to choose from, as well as all the typical foods like heroes, pastas, garlic knots, etc. They're very fast paced and efficient, so you won't be waiting long before they take your order. The only things that put me off was the atmosphere, they have fast food style booths that's aren't very comfortable, and the color scheme is a little wacky. That, and they charge 50 cents for a side of sauce. It's worth it though, the sauce is very good. All in all, great food. Here is my simple play by play experience. I walked into the restaurant. No one greeted me or asked what can I get you. Pretty much the guy just looked at me. So I ordered 2 mushroom slices. I paid for them and went to the restroom to just wash my hands. When I came out, my slices were on the counter just sitting there. I got my slices and sat to eat. They were luke warm. I ate. Got up and left. Here are my observations: It's one thing to not greet all customers, but they were saying "Hi" and "Thanks, bye" to others and they didn't to me. Maybe they are racist to Asians or maybe they're just a$$holes. They weren't really busy at the time. The pizza tastes ok. It's not the best, it's not the worst. I've had better. The prices are above average. Slices were served lukewarm, but they were burnt on the bottom, which to me was strange. The service was pretty lousy. Customers, no matter who they are, are your life blood if you're in the service industry. Most likely, I won't be going there again. I just received the worst salad ever from this establishment. My fiancé picked up a "to go" chicken caesar salad for me, and by the time he got home, the salad was completely wilted and the croutons mush. I called to complain with my order number expecting the manager to say bring in the order ticket to be refunded. He did no such thing. Talk about a packed pizza place. I have never seen so many people going in and out. It was crazy!!! Of course it was a Friday night, but still, people were running all over the place. There food was really good. The garlic knots were delicious, however they could have been a little warmer. The sampler appetizer was filled with greasy fried food :-) My favorite were the jalapeno poppers and the Stromboli's were both very yummy. We got the meat and veggie one to split. So, the pizza in Ridgewood kinda sucks. I figured I'd branch out a bit to see what is out there away from Ridgewood. First place we tried is Franco's. Came away very happy. Got a Grandma's Pie, stuffed mushrooms, and mozzarella sticks. Grandma's pie was very good. Mozzarella was SUPER flavorful. Their sauce is quite tasty. Has a bit of a sweetness to it. Was expecting some more garlic and oregano on the pie as it was more reminiscent of a square cut margherita pie. However, it was delicious as it was. Their fresh mozzarella is outstanding. The mozzarella sticks were also delicious. Their marinara sauce has a much more acidic taste than their pizza sauce. This is no a bad thing, as it creates a bit of separation and you don't feel like you're eating a bunch of the same thing. Perfectly cooked and surprisingly crispy even after delivery! The stuffed mushrooms are not my bag, but I got them for my girlfriend. She said that they were OK, but just not flavorful enough for her. She ate them but wouldn't recommend them, flavor wise. Delivery was super fast for a Sunday night at 5:30PM. Wow! Delivery guy was very nice. Food came and it was all very hot and the sticks, as said above, were super crispy and not soggy at all. Much better than the pizza in Ridgewood. Not even close. Will order again. read more

The plain slice is forgettable. If you come here, then you should only order specialty slices. Personally, I'd opt for Mangiamo across 17. Their pizzas look and taste better. The only advantages Anthony Francos has is their dining room space and parking availability. Judging from the reviews, this is your typical hit or miss spot. I'm not a fan of places that are hit or miss. But I had to see for myself and I can say that I'll probably never set foot in here again. It's not terrible but it's definitely not memorable. This is our go to for pizza. We love the Grandma's round pie which is like an upside down pizza. Sauce on top cheese on the bottom. The salads are fresh and the grilled chicken is spiced and seasoned just right. You can't go wrong with any of the chicken dishes such as picatta or francese. Or any of the pasta dishes as well. It's not fancy decorating inside but there are plenty of seats if you want to eat in. We have used them for catering on many occasions and they never disappoint. They were always prompt and the guests never go home hungry. They have delivery and they never screw up the order just because it's delivered. read more

Anthony's does good specialty pies. And the do it and deliver by the slice of whatever is available. Sandwiches aren't bad. A chicken parm or eggplant parm with pink sauce is great. Pink sauce is vodka sauce. The only difference is their vodka sauce includes peas and other things. Not that I don't like that but I keep it simple. Quick delivery at night. Lots of cops eat here. I'm pretty sure cops know good food. That or they eat free haha. I'm a return customer for over three years so something's being done right. read more

Good pizza. Pass on the spaghetti and meatballs though. I was looking forward to a thick, flavorful sauce; however, the sauce was bland and watery. The order came with 5 ping pong sized meatballs (I would prefer 3 larger meatballs, but that's my preference). The meatballs were dense and flavorless. I'm actually so disappointed in spaghetti and meatballs that I'm going to Trader Joes to get their jarred sauce and frozen meatballs for dinner tomorrow because they're honestly so much more flavorful. very friendly and welcoming staff. I had a cheese calzone and it was a traditionally made, packed full of ricotta and mozzarella. In fact it was a little too much cheese if you had to make a compliant. The crust of the calzone was crispy and had the correct consistency. It is served with a small amount of marina sauce, it was tangy and gives the dish a little more depth. I will return to try their sandwiches and slices soon. read more
