    Upscale feeling, very good

Ambiance: it is what gives it automatic 3 stars... food: ribeye- great flavor but presentation super basic, literally its just the meat. For price being paid, plate should have also another small side, or butter on the meat, or roasted garlic on the plate... literally anything else... drinks are specialized and for that they did a very good getting their point in the glass... my drink tasted like vacation Dessert: best gelato, very competitive. Service: without judging character very, informative could be a more ppl person but it was end of the night probably tired. Host young guy very cool and helpful. Wish i could give 3.5 stars Definitely worth a try,

There's only good things to say about ORA and it's a total MUST to go back again and again. I wish they were in my neighborhood. Went to ORA for a dinner with gfs and qas so pleasantly pleased with a wonderful dinner. Ambiance was modern, pretty, classy, warm and cozy all in one. Great for dinner with gfs, date nights, families. They also have a separate bar area with TVs for more casual nights, which we got to enjoy after dinner to watch the Knicks game and a lounge upstairs, which is nice for after dinner cocktails. Food - omgoodness! For apps, we got the scallops and mussels. They were both delicious. Scallops were light and fresh and the mussels were light but deep in flavor. For mains, we got the spicy rigatoni, bucatini (I think), rib eye steak, and crispy potatoes. The pastas were perfectly al dente and flavors were spot on and sooo good. I was also surprised by their rib eye steak, which was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender. I honestly didn't expect too much from their steak, but it was GREAT. So happy we ordered it and can't wait to bring my husband so he can try one of their steaks as well. Crispy potatoes, exactly as said, but better! Service was very warm and attentive. Our server always checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted and gave us some great recs for dinner and cocktails. This is a spot I'd choose every time I'm in the area and definitely need to go very soon for a date night. Thank you, ORA, for an amazing dinner.

Came here for the first time on a Thursday night for a birthday dinner. We were very impressed with the ambiance and the service. There is a separate bar area, dining area and a lounge upstairs. We did not get to see the lounge as there was a private party that night. There is free valet parking as well with a suggested tip of between $5-$10. The appetizers we ordered were delicious and our entrees were even better. The drinks were strong but not overpowering and the dessert was the icing on the cake. This is an upscale restaurant perfect for date nights, birthdays or anniversaries. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for.

My husband and I came for an anniversary brunch. The service was good and attentive. I do want to come back and try the dinner menu. I tried the smoked salmon pasta, and a pizza. The pasta was al dente. The smoked salmon is on the salty side, but that's to be expected. The star of the meal was honestly the Gelato. The Gelato was sweet and salty - I'd go back purely for the Gelato. I didn't care for my mocktail. It was too sour for me.

We had a great experience at Ora. It was our first time there and it was very impressive. The ambiance was very modern, yet still had a quaintness to it. Noise level was great. The hosts were all smiling and attentive! Our server Ed was friendly and knowledgeable and did not hesitate when we asked his opinion. The food was delicious, we started with the baked clams, nicely balanced with crumbs to stuffing ratio. The entrees were excellent, my guest had the Scallops special, cooked perfectly, cooked through but not rubbery. Very flavorful. I had the double cut pork chop, again, cooked perfectly, not easy to do. They were accompanied by thick cut fries. It was delicious. We finished with what I could only call a cross between a crème brûlée and cheesecake. I highly recommend Ora in Oradell.

    Mafalde pasta! Excellent!

My wife, reading the NJ Monthly constantly gets me trying new restaurants pretty much anywhere. We are today it was Ora. Great ambiance, full bar and pretty terrific food. We started off with a salad, followed by a short rib pizza for my wife and a Mafalda pasta dish for myself. Can't really complain about either of the dishes or the salad. They were really very good. I started it off with a bloody mary while my wife had a glass of Nebiollo. Good bloody mary by the way. Today we came here at early afternoon, so we're thinking we may need to come here at night sometime to see what it's like. Once again my wife picked a good one. We started their version of a Caesar salad, which was very good. My wife craves pizza, so she went for the Short Rib pie, while I went with the Malfade pasta... Mafalde (a la carbonara, guanciale, egg yolk, pecorino & black pepper)... a dish I would order again and again. Trouble was the pizza looked so good... I just had to have a 'bite' and we ended up sharing both meals. We finished by sharing a Gelato for dessert, which was fantastic. There was a 'name' for it, but I'll be damned if I can remember it or find out what it's called online. Regardless... it goes without saying... we'll be back!

I went for dinner tonight with my friends. I'll say the ambiance and drinks were great! I loved the whole vibe of the place and our waitress is so friendly. However, my food was lackluster. It wasn't necessarily bad but my pasta was a little salty for my liking. I'd go back but try something else I think.

I cannot speak highly enough with how satisfied my wife and I are with having chosen Ora as our wedding reception venue. Michele and her team truly made us feel like royalty with how well they serviced our entire wedding party. The moment my wife and I walked into the venue space, one of the servers, Tim, approached us with our signature drinks and another server, Gianna, immediately offered to make us a plate before any of the guests had access to the food. Not once did we ever have to go and ask for a drink or food; Michele and the servers were already by our side the moment we thought of ever needing anything. Throughout the night there was always a drink in our hand, water cups filled to the brim, and plates of food ready at our sweetheart table. They also extended this same courtesy to our guests by consistently offering passed bites and drinks; they really took care of everyone. The venue space itself was also gorgeous; the upstairs area is already well furnished from the regular restaurant decor, but Michele really adhered to all of our requests with our decor and flowers, as well as our seating and table arrangements. Also the quality of the food and drinks were phenomenal; you can taste the passion that the chef and bartenders put into their work. I really didn't get to catch their names, but hats off to them! Our favorites included the steak crostini and short rib grilled cheese from the passed bites, all of the main dinner courses, the entire raw bar, and the Old Fashioned (which is a drink that can easily be messed up, but Ora delivered every single time). Ora is a fine establishment that is definitely here to stay and I am so glad this is a restaurant my wife and I can revisit every year for our anniversary.

    Let's do this. Yum!!

A late-night craving has a way of rewriting the evening. Just after 9:00 p.m. on a Friday, my better half--who rarely asks for pizza--turned and said, "I'm craving pizza." No hesitation. Andiamo. That's how we found ourselves at ORA FreeStyle Italian--a spot rooted in cucina italiana moderna, where tradition meets a more contemporary hand. Arriving late is always a gamble, but we were warmly welcomed and guided through a simple, satisfying order. The cacio e pepe arancini were crisp and golden with a creamy center and a subtle Calabrian chili kick--playful, yet familiar. The Margherita pizza followed--semplice, ma perfetto: bright San Marzano tomato, soft mozzarella, fresh basil, and just enough char. A glass of Eroica Riesling brought a clean, slightly sweet balance--un equilibrio perfetto--to the savory spread. The space, with exposed beams and warm wood, feels both modern and inviting. A glimpse of dry-aged steaks near the dining room promises a return visit. Sometimes the best meals aren't planned--they happen proprio adesso. This is the place to be!! Just when entering this restaurant you're greeted with beautiful decoration for the holiday season. You can tell someone put great time into the aesthetic of the restaurant. We had a reservation upstairs and it was a beautiful space to dine, comfy and cozy! Our waiter was PHENOMENAL!! Shoutout to Donnie, he was charismatic, attentive and very kind. He checked in on us quite often even though we could tell he was busy, and never failed to come with a smile on his face. Now the food was the main show of course. We ordered pizzas, mussels and the meatballs. My personal favorite were the mussels, I really felt like I could drink the sauce it was so delicious For my main I had the garganelli pasta, it had a perfect balance of mushrooms and cheese, truly creating a warm delicious meal. I would love to come back to try their other menu items, I'm especially eyeing their desserts! (I would give a perfect 5 but we did have to wait a bit for our table, understandably a busy holiday season)

Went to Ora for dinner for two with reservations. Parked a block away in the street but they do have valet parking. Upon arrival we were seated immediately. The hostess was very friendly. Upon sitting down we were treated by our waitress. We ordered cocktails. The margarita was overly sour. I like sour but this was over. The presentation of the cocktail was nice however. Appetizers: The Caesar salad (has a different name on the menu) but this was very good. I wish the lettuce was cut smaller so I had to use a knife to eat it. Nonetheless it was good. The meatballs were good, not the best but still good. The toast had good flavor but it was very hard even when you dip it in the sauce so I did not finish this. As my entre I ordered the branzino. This was delicious. The creamed spinach was also delicious and the presentation was interesting. Lastly, the service was a bit disappointing. Our waitress seemed out of it or at least disinterested in serving this night and it unfortunately showed. I like to give people grace so I still tipped her 20%. I hope all is well with her but attention and service is part of the experience as a paying customer. All in all, the atmosphere is very nice and the decor as well. It is a nice place to go for a date night, out with friends or to host a celebration as they have event space and a bar upstairs. I went to an event last month and it was great!

We came here for brunch on a rainy weekend. I made a reservation to ensure we had a confirmed spot. Upon arrival we got the see the beautiful interior of the restaurant, with gorgeous modern furnishing. There was a huge bar area on the opposite end of the dining areal. The menu had small plates, pastas and popular brunch entrees. We started with the calamari that was a small dish but really good quality. Loved the marinara sauce it came with. I got the steak and egg for entree, another excellent dish. Flavorful steak, cooked to correct temperature, and decent amount. The kid's pasta was also super tasty. The service was nice overall. Our whole family had a wonderful time at brunch. Loved the overall upscale atmosphere.

The food is still great. We had scallops, chorizo, brussels sprouts, and a flounder ceviche special. Everything was delicious. The ceviche in particular stood out -- fresh, well-portioned, and nicely "cooked" in lime juice. The sangria is still a highlight too. A big carafe, no ice watering it down, served with glasses full of fruit. The problem is the service. They had two servers and one bus person, and it showed. Everyone seemed to be scrambling, and it was hard to get a moment of attention to ask for anything or even be heard. Our food came out in pieces -- three items, then a long delay, then another. The last dish, calamari, never came. When I tried to tell the waiter we didn't want it anymore if it was forgotten, he didn't listen and insisted on bringing it anyway. We ended up waiting even longer, which just made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, they're now adding an operating/service fee (around 3-4%), which wasn't clearly communicated and just showed up on the bill. It's disappointing because the food is still very good, but the service issues -- and now the added fees -- are taking away from the experience. After this visit, we'll think twice before coming back.

It's one of those places where you can immediately tell the owners care about both the food and the overall experience. The atmosphere is beautiful. The restaurant has a classy, Great Gatsby-inspired feel with elegant décor, plenty of space, and a spotless dining area. I loved the attention to detail, and the bar area is especially charming--it's the kind of place where you could easily stop in just for a glass of wine. We started with the hummus served with warm pita bread, and it was fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The chicken empanadas were another favorite--crispy, flavorful, and served with fresh pico de gallo that complemented them perfectly. I also enjoyed a glass of wine, and it paired beautifully with the meal. What impressed me the most was the hospitality. My daughter wanted fries, even though they weren't on the menu, and the chef was kind enough to prepare a fresh order just for her. That thoughtful gesture meant so much and really showed how much they care about their guests. The service was exceptional. The chef came out to greet us, and our server was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Before we left, they mentioned they have live music on certain nights, which gave us yet another reason to come back. This is truly one of Beacon's hidden gems. The inside was a tad dark, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, which was to be expected given our large group size and the various other tables they had to attend to. The food, overall, was excellent, with this being the first Spain-ish (last time I'll use this bad joke) spot that reminded me of the Ironbound in Newark. In terms of drinks, they have the usual sangria, wines, sherry, and some standard cocktails, but I went with something that's not commonly found in the city. That was the Tinto de Verano, a refreshing mix of red wine and lemon soda, which I believe was around $12. This is a more local drink from Spain, and I was happy to see it here. They also have the Basque drink Kalimotxo, a mix of red wine and Coca-Cola, for $9. They gave us some bread to begin with, which was munched on and soon used with their delicious sauces. As for the rest of the food, we stuck primarily to tapas, aside from a paella. The first thing that arrived was unfortunately something that I couldn't eat, as I have a cephalopod allergy. This was the delicious-smelling Pulpo a la Gallega for $22, consisting of sliced boiled octopus with paprika, salt, and olive oil. The rest of the people loved it, and from serving it to some people, I could tell it was fork-tender. Outside of the pulpo, we got two other seafood tapas. The $16 Vieras a la Casuela, or scallop casserole with red & green peppers, paprika, and olive oil, was delicious. There were plenty of plump scallops with a mild sweetness accentuated by the olive oil and paprika. The $14 Gambas al Ajillo, or prawns in garlic & white wine, was also excellent. The shrimp were cooked very nicely, and the garlic flavor was as strong as it should be. One of the earlier things to arrive was, ironically, my least favorite. This was the $15 Pimientos de Piquillo Rellenos, or Piquillo peppers stuffed with tuna, egg, olives & vegetables. The dish was cool as expected, and while I liked the sauce, I didn't find the texture appealing. The flavor was a bit light for me as well. Next came an excellent version of Tortilla Española for $13, a Spanish omelette with potatoes & onions. A lot of the other Spanish places mess up the texture, but this was perfectly soft and tender. There were plenty of potatoes in there as well, with the onions only mildly cooked down, which added a little bite. There were also two dishes featuring Serrano ham. One was the tasty $13 Judías Salteadas con Jamón Serrano, or sautéed green beans with said ham. The green beans had a nice texture, and the salty ham added a pleasant bite. The other dish with this ham was the Garbanzos a la Española, which was slightly more expensive but also better. For $16, this consisted of roasted garbanzos sautéed with Serrano ham & chorizo. I was surprised I liked this more, as I usually don't like these beans much, but the mixture was very pleasant with the chorizo adding some nice spice. We also ordered two other dishes with chorizo. First was the excellent Huevos al Antojo for $16 with cottage fries, egg, grilled chorizo, and red peppers. This almost felt like a fancy breakfast option with the thin-cut cottage fries having a nice texture, especially when mixed with the runny fried egg. The chorizo and red peppers added a necessary spice to this dish. Otherwise, there was the simpler Chorizo al Vino, or chorizo in wine sauce, for $14. This was as good as can be expected for such a plain dish, but it was still tasty. Rounding out the tapas was the $9 Patatas Bravas, or spicy potatoes with a cooling white sauce, which was pretty good too. I've had this in plenty of places, and this was decent. I have liked the texture more in some other places, but it was still good and was plenty piquant. Our remaining main dish was the $48 Paella Valencia, which had a mix of seafood and meat. The seafood included one of my allergens, but they removed it, so I was fine eating that dish. Otherwise, I believe the remaining ingredients, aside from the spices and peppers, were mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops, chicken, and chorizo. All the seafood inside was cooked nicely, and the rice had a good flavor. This was an excellent paella, and the portion size was quite large, still served in the large vessel it was cooked in. The remaining dish was dessert, the $9 Tarta de Santiago, or Spanish almond cake, served with vanilla ice cream, which might have been an extra charge, but I'm not positive. The cake had a marzipan flavor and was lightly sweet. It was a satisfying end to the meal. We had a very good meal here. No particular favorites, as everything was very tasty overall.

I myself came for the Octopus and the patatas bravas. I thought food was fine. Not amazing but fine. Service was good, our waitress was attentive. Not too many other guests so she checked on us often. The place feels cozy and intimate. A little too dark, but it adds to the ambiance. I would come back.

The wine is sold in half or whole bottles (not glasses), so I opted out this time. The menu is a mix of traditional Spanish tapas as well as American and Latin American mixed in. Our original Resy was canceled due to a change in business hours, so we were offered a complimentary dessert. We tried the cheesesteak empanadas, croquettes, bbq pulled pork arepa, garlic shrimp, octopus, short rib gnocchi and finished with tres leches cake. My favorites were the octopus, shrimp, gnocchi, empanada, and tres leches cake. Croquettes were the least favorite, just not exciting, and they were kind of smashed. The octopus was very tender and enjoyed the sauce and sundried tomatoes that came with it. Everything came out at the right temperature and at a good pace to not overwhelm the table with dishes. The restaurant is dimly lit. I found the booth backs to be very hard and uncomfortable - could use an upgrade. Prices per dish are high for the size, but to be expected with tapas in the states. There are a lot of choices so there's something for everyone.

Was not disappointed at all, first off 50 bucks for 4 people, where can you go and spend 50 bucks for 4 people? I spent 33 bucks at Wendy's the other day for me and my kid. So 50 bucks for 4 people for 3 courses in awesome! We got the ceasar salad, which was good and they gave us plenty of dressing and didn't skimp on the croutons or cheese. Next was rigatoni with oil and garlic and I gotta say I don't know what they did to the roasted garlic but it was amazing, like I was picking all the little pieces out of the pan it was so good. Then we got the sausage and peppers and if that wasn't enough they threw in meatballs with it as well. There was more than enough food for the 4 of us and we are big eaters. The sauce was so good and that fact that we eating at home I could soak up all the sauce in my bread without fear of being stared at by other patrons. We plan on ordering again and plan on going to dine in as well, the place looked newly remodeled and was quite cute inside. 5 out of 5!

I felt a little like Ray Liotta in "Goodfellas". The service was excellent and our waiter rattled off an extensive list of daily specials and they all sounded wonderful. We settled on burrata and a fried vegetable appetizer. The burrata was good but the fried thing was even better. I wish I could remember what it was because it was so good. I guess that's what I get for writing my reviews 2 months later. It was some kind of vegetable stuffed with cheese, battered and fried. It wasn't too oily and all the flavors and textures went well together. For our entrees we went with linguini in clam sauce and cavatelli, broccoli rabe, & sausage. The linguini was a solid plate of pasta. Linguini, clams, sauce. It tasted exactly how you expect it would and the pasta was cooked well. The cavatelli was much more interesting to me. The different textures and flavors really made it a joy to eat. The pasta was al dente while some of the sausage had some crispy bits to it. And the broccoli rabe kind of made me feeling like I was eating somewhat healthy The ambiance was nice if not a little dated. Not bad though, it was cozy. I'd come back, but not too often. It's pricey.
