THE FOOD ---------------- = Irish Whiskey Burger - Had the makings of a delicious burger with the bacon and string onion rings inside, but was overcooked beyond medium. Unfortunately was dry, barely pink inside with none of those delicious juices oozing out. Wommmp. Fries were good though. + Prime Rib Sandwich - Prime rib strips were tender and good, but, once again, meats were overcooked. No pinkness at all on the meats. Au jus that came with the sammie was perrrrrfect. + Large Plain Pizza - Suppper thin, but a bit floppy. Came out piping "scorch the top of your mouth" hottt! Sauce on the pizza was tangy. Overall, solid. = Georgia's Peach Crumble Pie a' la Mode - Just OK. Pie was humongous, but the crust was a bit too rock solid. Ice cream was good, however not sure what flavor it was - possibly French Vanilla, but not exactly. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Waitress was friendly and quick with taking down our orders. + All of our food arrived super fast. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- = Dining room is located to the left of the main entrance and the main bar to the right. + Dining room has plenty of tables. + Multiple TVs located in the dining room. = Tight private parking lot with one way in and one way out. + There is angled street parking spots right in front of the restaurant. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Was crowded in the dining room and bar room on a Friday evening. Arrived at about 5:50 and waited for a table for about 20 minutes. = All of the doors at the entrance swing ... like hard, so be careful when walking through them.

4.5 Stars* Came here after playing basketball with a friend and he suggested this place since this place was the only few places open late in the area. It was a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy. Dined at the table in bar section. Started off with the premium bucket ($25) of Modelo. Bucket filled with ice. Very cold and refreshing. I will say that it was hard to decide what to get since everything sounded so good. Ended up getting the Prime Rib Sandwich ($19) which comes with fries. Sandwich was great, especially with the au jus and horseradish mayo. It's a big sandwich. The fries were seasoned nicely. Had a really good experience and I will be back to try the drunken chicken sandwich, pizza and wings. I highly recommend this place if you want great food while catching the game or catching up with friends. * Reasonably priced * TVs to watch the game at the bar * Parking in the back and street parking * Specials for dine in * Good service

GREAT food and large portions! Went with my family and everything was so delicious! My mom loved her huge burger that had perfectly cooked bacon and came with crispy sweet potato fries that were so good. My sister loved the chicken francese and I really enjoyed the chicken Marsala! Lovely amount of chicken and the mushrooms were so flavorful. The steamed broccoli and baked potato were perfect sides to dip into the sauce. Love that the entrees came with a salad starter. Yum! Docking one star as it was tough to get water and service from the wait staff though they were all very nice.

I work in Bergen county and my coworkers talk about this restaurant all the time. I had an errand to run up here today so I decided to go. It was 100% worth the hype it was given. The food was incredible and the service was great. It was super cute inside and had good vibes. I will definitely be going back ASAP!!!

Grant St. Cafe 25 Grant Ave. Dumont, NJ 07628 Dude Chicken Wings Prosciutto & Baratta Salad Sliced Filet Mignon Platter Jameson Irish Whiskey Burger Chicken Parmesan 14" Pepperoni Pizza Cookie Dough Cake Conveniently off Washington Ave. where President George Washington once actually passed is a pub with great meals and deals! Stop in anytime on Monday through Thursday for discounted entrees; each day is a different special. One of the specials offered on Wednesdays are different parmesan entrees. With a difficult decision to make, I chose chicken and was not disappointed. The marinara sauce with a touch of Parmesan cheese is the way to go! Thursdays are wings. The dude wings are smothered in sweet Thai chili sauce. There's a whole bunch of flavors to choose so make multiple trips if you want to try them all! Even if you miss any of the specials, you will still have a really great time. The prosciutto & Baratta salad eats like a meal. It can easily feed a couple. You can never get enough onions and gravy as you chow down on the sliced filet mignon platter. Underneath these delicious toppings are the thinly sliced steak and buttered toast. The best part of the Irish whiskey burger are the frizzed onions. This bad boy has several toppings so you'll get the best of many worlds! Whether you are looking to dine indoors or outdoors check out this local spot as you won't be disappointed. With so many entrees to choose, especially on Special days, no one can eat just one! #grantstreetcafe #GrantAve #washingtonave #jamesonirishwhiskey #Sweetthaichiliwings #filetmignon #salad

Have read the great reviews and finally checked it out! Would be 5 stars except for the poor service. Took a while to have our order taken even though it wasn't particularly busy. Am guessing our inattentive server forgot to get our food and and it sat for a while. When brought by a different server our food was luke warm. Nice selection of dishes, tasty food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. I look forward to going back and hopefully getting hot food!

Place is the most perfect balance between a restaurant and dive bar. The setting makes you feel like you can grab a brew with your buddies after work or come here with your family. If the GWB didn't cost $16 to get back into NYC I'd be here more often. One of the best pizzas I've had. I was staying over my cousins for the weekend and we literally came here 3 days straight...it was that good. I'm not a barstool guy because I'm not sure who made Portnoy the 'za police but he gave it an 8.2 for whatever that's worth. Some people may think it's too thin/crispy, but I personally think that's what makes it.

Local pub that was surprisingly popular for a weekday lunch. They have great local beers on tap. The Reese's chocolate espresso martini was delicious. Sandwiches were large and tasty. Very reasonably priced menu. Server was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back to try the pizza.

This place is such a gem. Anytime I'm craving great beer, cocktails, food and impeccable service this is the place I immediately head to. This place is always decorated beautifully for all the holidays and in the warmer months, they have excellent outdoor dining. Everyone who works here is just so amazingly personable and helpful. As soon as I'm done w my meal I'm already thinking about my next visit.

If you haven't been to Grant Street yet you definitely must go. If you do go make sure you make a reservation because the place gets busy. There are two sides one that has a bar and the other side that is a more casual dining room. The bar is always busy and the bartenders are very friendly. Check out their website, every day of the week they have a daily special. We recently just went on a Wednesday when they do the parms and pots and you're able to get a Parm dish for $14 and a salad is also included. It was delicious and there was so much left to take home. Another big hit is their pizza. My husband loves the pizza there. The TP eats is his favorite with the vodka sauce and pepperoni.

Is it very noisy? A small group of sixty somethings planning dinner. Not yet ready for hearing aids but we don't want to shout to be heard.

It depends where you sit and the time you go. It can get so busy - we left one night cuz the wait was too long. They have booths in the bars area (easier to hear) and the dining side is quieter - outside has a variety of table arrangements - maybe… Read more

Last night was the last straw. A tiny bottle (caneca) of Buchanan's whiskey was $75? At any Colombian spot, the waitress not only brings the bottle to your table, but she prepares your first drink: puts ice in the glass, opens the bottle, and serves. The new staff is terrible and the girl dropped the bottle on the table and held her hand out to get paid. The DJ's are clearly amateurs. The volume is terribly loud (too loud to be comfortable and causes the speakers to sound distorted), they have zero ability to read the room not anticipate guest music selections based on the age group in the room and what dancers are responding to. For example, they played 4 of the most-unpopular salsas, but then went into a 12 song raggaeton/urbano set while only 6 people were dancing and 125 people were sitting down. The final straw was when the DJ's were running at full volume (speakers cutting off) then the power to the building turns off and emergency lights turn on. Well, this also turned off the AC and management was incapable of getting it turned back on again so within 10 minutes with a packed club with no AC, it was a sauna and difficult to breathe, so we left. Sadly, we must find another spot because Zona has deteriorated so much.

Location was pretty decent and the ambience was really good, with some great DJ Music. This was a Caribbean Themed Brunch, so we were all really looking forward to the Food and Drinks. Unfortunately, the Pros of this place ended there. Our party was squeezed into 2 small tables put together even though there were many comfortable Tables empty and unreserved. Guess they were holding out for those who might order Bottle Service. There wasn't much of a crowd (3 Tables seated) but our Drink orders took forever. Most of the Food items from the Caribbean Brunch we wanted to order was no longer available even though it was only 30 mins past the Brunch start time. After waiting for almost 2 hours with no food, we finally decided to leave. I am not sure whether the Themed Brunch was not planned properly or the Management is always this bad. Only positive is that they comped us $100 from our overall Drinks amount

Check out three of the most popular menu items I explored. Buffalo Wings: Sold by the pound, the wings came with a side of celery sticks and blue cheese dipping sauce. It's definitely a common bar appetizer prior to the main course. Breakfast Burger: Here is a breakfast spin on the classic burger and fries. The plump, juicy burger was loaded with crispy bacon and an over easy egg. Served medium well, each bite was like having breakfast and lunch simultaneously...hence the term "brunch." And no brunch is ever complete without a side of crispy tater tots. Chicken Parm Sliders: This is a unique bar twist on the classic chicken parmesan entrée. The three sliders are topped with homemade marinara sauce and mozzarella. The breaded cutlets were on the thicker side, but I didn't mind because it was similar to having a chicken sandwich. If you are a sports fan, this is the next best thing to a stadium or arena. The walls are adorned with athletic souvenirs and memorabilia. You won't have any trouble finding an athletic program to view on the multiple flat screen HDTVs. And speaking of televise sporting events, take advantage of this awesome meal deal. The IPA was fantastic. It was served chilled with a bit of foam up top. There was a hint of citrus and it had a smooth taste. Unfortunately, free refills are not included with the lunch special. Smash Cheeseburger & Fries: This is a perfect lunch serving portion as it will definitely keep you full until supper time. The double patty was served on a potato roll with special sauce and toppings; it didn't disappoint. The proportion of fries could have been a bit larger, but it they were still tasty. The food is where it was a bit disappointing to me. I can appreciate the wide variety of items on the menu, but not when the quality varies so much. We ordered a few pasta dishes (one that was on the daily special), a few taco dishes, an order of wings and the brussel sprouts. All of the pasta dishes were huge disappoints. They looked like pasta dishes from Applebees. The sauces were very runny and the kids pastas were the most basic pastas that were way overpriced for what they were. My daughter who loves pastas only ate about 1/3 of it and told me she didn't like it. The wings were dry and not saucy enough. The tacos were OK. The brussel sprouts were the only standout dish that we ordered. I liked their extensive draft beer menu though. Lots of variety to choose from and the drinks were fresh.
