Our experience at Wahizza was ok. Pizza was good and eggplant parm was fair. Quinoa salad was very good. Problem is how Wahizza is unclear who it is and type of cuisine it's serving. If you are expecting Italian food, you may be disappointed imo. read more

I really wanted to like this place--I've now ordered twice. The first time was underwhelming, but I decided to give it another chance when they opened a location in my town. Unfortunately, it still didn't impress. The pizza was small, overpriced, and overall just subpar. Everything leans overly sweet, especially the sauce, which tastes like a basic jarred sauce--nothing memorable. It honestly reminded me of an off-brand Costco pizza (and I actually think Costco's is better). The crust was decent, but not enough to make up for the rest. As a Dominican and a Christian, I really appreciated the Bible verse on the box--pero honestly, I was disappointed the quality didn't match that same level of care. read more

Wahizza recently opened up in Englewood!! Nice location right in Palisades Ave. It's really nice inside and they have good music playing. I hear they have a DJ sometimes too. We got the Margarita Pizza and it was really fresh and delicious! They are not cheap with the sauce either which I love! The sauce is very tasty, got a little sweetness to it, yum! The Sesame seed pizza crust is thin, soft, and tasty with a nice light char taste. The bruschetta was also really good with fresh garlic. All the ingredients taste so fresh. The coffee is really really good! Strong and tasty. The flan and guava cheesecake are also delicious. They are so friendly and took good care of us. The service was good too!! Visited waHIZZA TODAY Saturday Oct 18. Me and my co worker got there around 5pm. We sat down and order two pizza. They brought out the water and salad on time. But 550 came around and we still hadn't receive our pizza. The young server turns around and tells us it will be ready soon. I'm sorry but 50 minutes for two small pies is unacceptable. We got the check and just paid for the water and salad. Zero communication on how long it takes two make two pizza. The place wasn't busy to begin with. I have been eager to try this place since It opened. Unfortunately the food didn't meet my expectations. Although the food tasted fresh, it wasnt great and didn't justify the high price point. We ordered a large chicken chimi pizza, a small margarita pizza, and a small order of wings totaling $60. The margarita pizza was ok, and the wings were heavily breaded. Please don't confuse the chimi pizza as having a chimichurri sauce. Apparently the sauce is a Dominican chimi sauce, which is a combination of ketchup and mayo. The chimi pizza does not have mozzarella another point I overlooked. The crust has sesame seeds which is not for everyone. Overall the place is nice and clean, has friendly staff. Had dinner there tonight- our first visit. The staff and owner were very warm and friendly. The ambiance was welcoming and not fussy. More than just a pizza parlor. They have some innovative dishes on the menu. It's BYOB. We had pizza and wings and finished up with flan and espresso. Food was fresh and hot. Pizza was not soggy but thin and crisp. I am a frequent customer. when I place my order over the phone I am told 10-15 minutes but when i get to this location 20 mins or more later for a personal pizza on my 1 hr lunch break, the pizza is still in the over or just being placed in the oven. The female and gentlemen which are young in age thinks it's a good idea to smile amongst each other. what f-cking funny. so disrespectful. i am done. if you don't want my business that's on you.
