I came here with my family for a birthday celebration and my family and I truly enjoyed the dining experience here. We were a party of eight people and two children. We ordered 4 Caesar salads and one house salad. We ordered two large pies, one regular pie and a pepperoni pie. We also ordered fried calamari for an appetizer to share as a group, and we also shared a calzone with tomatoes and sausage to share altogether. Everything here was amazing. The service was pretty fast and we came to dine at a great time because there wasn't a lot of people. We typically avoid busy times for dining with children. I have two energetic nephews, which is why we avoid dining out as a family at busy times. I would love to come here again as my parents loved it here. My parents both ordered eggplant parmigiana and thought it was phenomenal. 10/10 pizza restaurant recommendation
Solid brick oven large pie well done. Was ready in about 20 min on Sunday afternoon. Cash only. A+ taste size quality and price. Brooklyn Brick Oven Pizzeria - in! How you doin? They're doin well!
This used to be a fantastic place, but unfortunately, it's not the same anymore. The quality of the pizza has gone down; they put very few ingredients on it, and they raised the prices way too much. On top of that, they only accept cash payments. We definitely won't be coming back -- we spent $71 on two pizzas, and you could barely see the eggplant (only three small pieces), and the pepperoni too. What a shame, but this is the last time we'll go there.
This place has definitely changed. Have been coming here for years. Servers are friendly, some have been there a long time. Was a regular at the Edgewater location when I lived nearby. Quality of the pizza isn't good anymore. I know places have there off days, ordered a personal that came with watery sauce. Fried mozzarella, not fresh. Refried & cold. Flat soda. Didn't eat and went home sick. It's a wrap for me here.
We ordered a medium pie with green peppers, sausage, and mushrooms for pickup -- and it was excellent! You can tell they make each pizza fresh right when you arrive, even for takeout. The ingredients tasted high quality, and the wood-fired crust had that perfect crisp with just enough chew. We also tried the fried calamari, which was crispy, not greasy, and came with a tasty marinara sauce on the side. One heads-up: it's cash only, which we didn't know ahead of time, so just plan for that. Otherwise, great service, solid food, and cozy, no-frills vibes. We'll definitely be back with the whole family next time. Highly recommend!
Great, delicious and some of the best pizza I've had in a while! BUTTTT this establishment is CASH ONLY, so leave the credit card at home on your trip here. I've been here a few times, once for pickup and once for dine in (and I'm SURE I'll be back many more times in the future). For the dine-in, we arrived super early ... as in super duper early just when they opened for lunch on a Saturday at 12PM. The reason we went for lunch and not for dinner was because we noticed that they only served their personal pies during lunch and what better way to get different pies with different toppings without taking home 20 leftover slices of pizza????? In the times I came for pick up and dine-in, we've had a chance to try the Cheese and Tomato pie with pepperoni (in large and personal pie sizes) and White Pie (Ricotta, Mozzarella, Garlic) with pepperoni. FYI, The restaurant only serves 2 types of pies - Cheese & Tomato and White - with toppings coming in at anywhere from $1-$3 each depending on the size of the pie. Pizza verdict?? SUPERB. DELICIOUS. SO FRESH. Both of their pies were some of the very best pizzas that I have had in a long, long while. If you've been to L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn, the tomato sauce here on their Cheese and Tomato pie sort of reminded me of the flavors there because it was so tangy. The pepperoni cups were a bit out of sorts on the large Cheese and Tomato pie we had for takeout and it was clear that it was haphazardly just thrown on because they were concentrated in certain areas of the pie. In some areas, there were 2-4 roni cups stacked on top of one another. Minor issue, but the pizza was still, of course, really, REALLY good. Also, if you do takeout here, oddly, and, this is truly the 1st time I ever experienced this, the pizza was served in a paper bag instead of a box. Maybe I haven't been to enough pizzerias nationwide, but I had never, everrrrr had a pizza handed to me in just a bag. Not very practical, but, it's what is inside that counts right? The restaurant is much more than a great pizzeria and they have a menu full of appetizers (great calamari), pasta entrees, strombolis and calzones. As I said, we will DEFINITELY be back.
This was our first visit, we had to come since my husband saw a TikTok clip and we were intrigued. Absolutely delicious pizza! Appetizers: 1. First off, we love how light and crispy the calamari batter is, well seasoned too! The squid itself was so smooth and easy to chew, not rubbery at all. 2. Mix hot appetizers consists of 4pc fried raviolis, 2 pc fries mozzarellas, and 2 pc chicken tenders. All amazing, especially the fried fresh mozzarellas. Unfortunately, the ravioli pastas were tough to chew! Pizza: We ordered a large pie and customized our pizza. I really love the fresh mozzarella cheese and the touch of fresh cut basils. 1.My husband ordered his half with sausage and pepperoni. He loved it! 2. I ordered my half with mushroom, olives, and peppers. I probably wouldn't order the mushrooms next time since my side of the pie ended up too mushy. Each topping has its own set price, and our pie was charged for 5 toppings, and it came out at $28. It is on the high end considering how thin the pies are made. Notes: 1. Plenty of parking. 2. We went for a late lunch at 3:30pm and overheard a staff inform a walk-in customer that they close at 4pm. Seems like staffs were having their lunch break and prob to prepare for the dinner crowd. They should update their hours on Google Maps to avoid and discrepancies. 3. Our waiter could be friendlier and welcoming with at least a smile. 4. Cash only. 5. No free soda refills. 6. Yes, we will definitely return!! Pies are delicious when eaten fresh.
Brooklyn's came highly recommended by so many people when I first moved to Jersey over 4 years ago, and now it's one of my top favorites. I always order half regular sauce with hot sausage and half white with no toppings. The pizzas are HUGE. The cheese so melty and stretchy; the garlic fragrant; the crust so crispy. I live 5minutes away and will often do take out but eating there takes the pizza to another level. It's just so good when it's piping hot straight out of the brick open. The fried ravioli is also good but the real hidden gem is the chocolate cake! You HAVE to get the chocolate cake slice. So moist and decadent.
The pizza here is delicious, and definitely one of the best in the area especially given the price and the size of a large pie. At the same time, I am only giving this restaurant three stars due to its inconsistency. Sometimes the pizza bottom is fine with no burns, while other times, the bottom is completely burnt and I wonder if I am eating a slice of pizza or a piece of charcoal. Despite this hit-or-miss situation, I keep returning for more pizza when I am in the area. The pizza is really that good, especially when not burnt! The restaurant is cash only, so make sure to have $21 on hand for a large plain pie.
Best Pizza in New Jersey! My husband who's from NY always says NJ has bad pizza, but he tried this place and changed his mind. Pizza is juicy and flavorful and not soggy! Passes the flop test and thin as paper. Service is fast casual. Busy restaurant. This place is definitely eat and go place. It was a full house on Friday night but wait was fast. Now my husband will only have pizza from here.
Service was amazing!! Antipasto was Soo good, mushrooms were a very nice addition. Pizza was delicious and crust was perfect. Cute atmosphere with lots of pictures.
Brooklyn Pizza is one of our go-to spots. The menu is small and it's cash only, but the fresh food and consistently good service keep us coming back. We usually get a large pie with toppings and a couple of appetizers -- always hits the spot. Prices are reasonable too -- our last visit was under $50 for everything. Just a heads-up: CASH ONLY, so come prepared!

I'm surprised this place didn't get the 5 star it deserves for the excellent pizza! We had the margarita pizza...... I can taste the homemade mozzarella & bread freshness coming through. It reminded me of the pizza I ate in Italy. Leaving a review here so that I remember to come back next time I'm here in NJ. read more

Great pizza, never had there actual food before but if your in the mood for pizza go try it. I get it well done and they cook it perfectly every time. The service is good food comes out fast. Inside there are many tables to dine in. read more
One of the best around! Sure, it's cash only, but don't let that stop you. Friendly service, quick turnaround, fresh pizza, you can't go wrong. I'm a big fan of the regular cheese & tomato "margherita" with their homemade sauce & cheese - great crust too. You can basically even see it being prepared behind the counter as well! Came in for lunch and the large was plenty for us 3. read more
The only New York style pizza I could find on Yelp, came here on a recommendation. They have a super efficient take out, no box, just pizza with 3 plastic stands in a paper box. Got the large cheese pizza, of course. Super delicious. A little different than you'd find on the streets on NY I'd say. Instead of an even cheese of a single color, you have some bites of red, some of white, some yellow. But it was so good. Highly recommended unless you want to cross the bridge! read more
DISCLAIMER: This was for lunch time! Okay, so I came in and the host let me sit anywhere I wanted. Then the server came thru and asked me what I wanted and I went with the personal pizza and a coke. I waited for about 7 mins or so and I took in the ambiance. While there is a hint of a stale and lardy scent at first when I walked in, but that scent subsided in favor of the pizzas that were baking. Plus, the joint resembled the inside of a brick oven! So I got to the personal pizza and it was the perfect portion. The crust itself was very thin, not too crunchy and the cheese was gooey but not too much cheese and the sauce's sweetness shine thru. The edge of the crust was a little soft but not a big edge and it wasn't doughy. The coke was good too. I recommend this pizza spot, but remember this one important tip - this is a cash-only pizzeria so come thru with those dollars if you're looking to eat. read more

I'm a frequent customer here, but after my last visit, I won't be returning. I came in craving pizza and calamari and left completely traumatized. While the pizza was fine -- even though they got the order wrong -- the real issue was with the calamari appetizer. Toward the end of eating it, my pregnant wife found a worm tangled up with the squid. Absolutely unacceptable. This raises serious concerns about the restaurant's quality control and food safety standards. If they can't even keep worms out of their seafood, I don't want to imagine what the kitchen looks like. I immediately called and received a follow-up text from the manager, who assured me they would report the issue and photo to the owner and follow up with me. It's been almost a week, and I have yet to receive any call or acknowledgment. Given the complete disregard for customer safety and the lack of accountability, I will never be coming back -- and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Service was great. NY style pizza in Hackensack, NJ. My nieces were visiting from NC and wanted to try NY style pizza so we stopped by BK pizza and they loved it. We had 1/2 pepperoni and mushrooms and 1/4 sausage and mushrooms and 1/4 cheese only. The house salad, chopped was delicious. I highly recommend this pizza spot. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. read more
Paid a visit to Brooklyn's Brick Oven Pizzeria on a Friday. I had been here before as a child, and I remember not liking it because it wasn't like Pizza Hut. But now that I'm an adult, I actually like their pizza a lot. It was a late dinner, after 9pm, so it wasn't too busy. We were seated quickly and given menus and water. We placed our order for the appetizer combo and a large cheese pizza. Appetizer combo came with chicken fingers, fried mozzarella, and fried ravioli. They were fried and seasoned well. The pizza came shortly after. It looks interesting. The cheese is very white, and a lot of the sauce is visible. It doesn't look like they're using shredded cheese. But the pizza is tasty. The sauce is good, cheese is very creamy, and the dough was actually pretty flavorful. Guess my taste buds have grown up a bit. read more
Wow 10 out of 10! I just finished my personal pizza and already cannot wait to get it again or try their white pizza! This place was highly recommended and exceeded all my expectations! Normally I don't eat mozzarella a sit tastes like nothing, but this cheese was so flavorful! I also loved the thin crust, juicy tomato sauce, fresh herbs... it was wonderful! If you haven't tried this place yet, do it! read more

Was in the area and stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon for a take-out large cheese pie. Was told there'd be a 30 minute wait for the $20 pie which was fine. We paid, then ran and errand and came back and waited a few minutes more for our pizza. We finally got our pizza in a take-out pizza paper bag?! no box?! That's something new. We got home and threw the pizza in the oven for a bit...it didn't keep hot/warm despite out short 10-minute ride home. The pper pizza bag maybe?! The heated pizza was very good...very authentic and tasted fresh. Though, there wasn't much flavor in the sauce nor cheese. Definitely could have used some salt/oregano/basil...The crust was one of the best crusts I've ever had. The space itself is nice with lots of tables. The menu has typical pizza restaurant menu items including pizza and various pastas. Parking lot there with a few parking spots but it was full when we stopped by on Saturday afternoon. All the staff we encountered were nice, patient and friendly, despite being really busy with both in-person patrons and managing phone orders. All staff seemed to be hustling and working hard, which is always nice to see. Kudos to them. read more
