California Paver Pros did a fantastic job on our back yard! We wanted pavers and artificial turf, including a raised patio area with pavers and lighting. First, we worked with Daniel, the sales manager, to finalize the design, help us pick out and then order the materials, and serve as project manager. We went through multiple iterations of designs with updated illustrations and quotes. Daniel helped us make decisions on the design to ultimately get us to a design we loved and within our budget. Daniel then introduced us to Danny who led the team who did all the work. We went through the fine details of the design including drainage, location and routing of wiring for lights, etc. Danny coordinated each day's work with the team and worked on some of the layout and detailed work himself. I believe he said he had 14 years experience and it showed. Danny often called upon me to come answer questions and review work throughout, which I greatly appreciated. I watched the team work throughout the project. They are hardworking, efficient, and professional. I was very impressed by what they did and how they did it. Again, Danny led the team throughout, but there were obvious specialists within his team on different aspects of project. The work was finished in about 5 working days. And it looks even better than we imagined!

After. Notice wall is level on each side of water feature (which was already there)

Bottom line up front: We are EXCEPTIONALLY happy with our new yard and California Paver Pros in Pleasanton, CA! I started working with California Paver Pros to re-design and remodel the hardscape of our 30 year old deteriorating backyard. Working with Anthony and Daniel on initial ideas and costs was straightforward. After a 2nd meeting, the two of them took additional measurements and began working on a conceptual drawing (at no cost to me, at this point) -- something no other contractor ever even offered to do. They patiently worked with me through several modifications and re-worked quotes for both design and material changes -- again without financial or contractual agreement in hand. They made lots of suggestions to improve design esthetic and reduce material costs. THIS EXTRA EFFORT on Anthony and Daniel's part is why California Paver Pros earned my business. Gold star #1. They also provided addresses for a few nearby projects where I could see their completed work in some front yards. Once I was happy with the design and price, they drafted a detailed contract and provided it for electronic signature. I then plunked down a CC deposit with the home office and requested the project be held for about 5-6 weeks until after the new year for a variety of personal reasons. They didn't bat an eye at this request and happily scheduled a start date around MY schedule! Gold star #2. In the meantime, communication was great as Anthony would reach out regarding little details and change order the contract with the details (at no further cost to me). Anthony also arranged for 811 to come check for gas lines etc. The start date was pushed just a few days due to California's crazy storms at the beginning of 2023 but they communicated with me and all is good. Once the project was underway Hugo (project manager) and Danny (the most awesome site manager) came with a crew and got right to work. And let me tell you Danny and his crew WORK HARD. Demo started and materials were delivered the same day (probably a little early, cause the weather pushed their start back by several days). No problems. Danny had a crew of 3-5 here from 8am-5pm every day and asked if they could also work weekends. No problem for me. This was a decent sized project with about 1000 sq.ft. of pavers and nearly 150' of retaining wall, the sooner it was done the better. At the end of every day (no kidding) the crew would collect their tools, tidy up, close my backyard, sweep my front walkway and driveway if needed, all so we could get cars in the garage, etc. This is a crew that cares about good work and appearances. Gold star #3. 3 weeks (21 days) start to finish the project was completed. When it came to building the wall every block was individually inspected for damage and checked for true before being installed. Danny even went through the trouble of leveling the retaining walls between two distinct sections of the yard so that when viewed from inside the house the walls were level to one another. The paver patio was just as precise with consideration for proper drainage and straight lines when viewed from various angles. Hugo came by the project numerous times to inspect work for proper slope, drainage and progress. Gold star #4 Throughout the project, any complication or question Danny encountered, he communicated with me directly or through Hugo and always ended the conversation with "no problem, I'll take care of it." I was never asked (by anyone) for a change order or additional money due to an unexpected issue. Not once. Gold star #5 Once the project was completed we were (are) simply delighted. Our yard is transformed and we love it. When the first rains came I found an area on the patio that collected some water (puddled). I alerted Danny and Hugo who immediately responded "no problem, we'll take care of it" and this was after final payment has been made. They soon returned and indeed "took care of it." Thank you California Paver Pros....ESPECIALLY Anthony, Daniel, Hugo and most of all Danny. Excellent work. Highly recommend.

These guys are great! I got quotes from a handful of different places and there's was the best price. They were also the most professional and were able to quickly draft up a scaled drawing for our HOA board. I really enjoyed working with Brandon who came out to our house with samples of turf and picture books of rock and pavers. He measured our lot and was able to very quickly give us a detailed price quote. Once we got HOA approval the team was out to our house the very next day and finished our entire project in a day and a half (half the time we thought it would take). I really cannot recommend this place enough. They did such a good job, I love our little side yard and I love that the pavers are covered under (I think he said 25 years?) warranty.

California Paver Pros did an outstanding job. We requested pavers for a patio and walkway. Additionally, we wanted a lawn with sprinklers, rock and back retaining stones. Darryl (Designer) helped us design a great back yard that worked within our budget. Rob (Construction Manager) ensured that we were happy and that everything was timely. The gentlemen that completed the work were very professional and highly skilled. Rob and Darryl were very friendly and a pleasure to work with. You can tell all the employees care about their customers and producing quality work.

We had a great experience with Daniel, Brandon, Danny, and their team! They were super quick to respond when we started searching for quotes. The team was very collaborative and did an excellent job replacing a non-functioning pond with a nice seating area and walkway that improved the curb appeal of our house.

We needed major work done in our backyard asap before my sister's wedding, so I shopped around and finally found California Paver Pros. They gave me a quote, which was the best price compared to the others. Joel was our consultant. He was quick at responding to my emails/texts. He answered all of my questions and was super friendly. He made the process easy and gave great ideas at how we can improve our tiny yard to look bigger. He suggested that we expand the pavers all the way to the fence and that made a huge improvement! Joel even had PGE come out to measure our yard to make sure everything was ok before the work gets done. I rarely see this process get implemented during yard renovation. So this really reassured us that they follow the rules. Danny and his guys worked so fast and cleaned up as they go. They work efficiently and finished our yard in 3 days! The work was better than we had expected! He made our yard look so good! Daniel, our project manager was so knowledgeable. He knew what would work and what wouldn't according to what we wanted. His suggestions were also great. He gave us options of we wanted to add soil on our own or have their team help us. I didn't know they could do that so it was a great idea that they filled the rest of our yard with soil. Helped save us so much time than if we were to do it on our own. I'm super impressed at the team. Their administration team was also so nice, clear and to the point. Overall, the project was smooth and I highly recommend them to anyone!

I reached out to Geoff and as always, he was very responsive and offered to repair these items. Geoff and his team stand by their workmanship and products. I will continue to recommend Swanson!

They were recommended by my swim spa dealer, Turbo Spas in Dublin. The crew was easy to work with, professional and followed my instructions to the letter. I just want to give some feedback from what I have learned since because this will help others avoid the same mistake I made. After waiting 28 days for the concrete to cure I set my 12' swim spa and 8' hot tub on the pad. 6 months later my swim spa cracked on the bottom. I am not sure about this but I believe the spa cracked because of the control joints running underneath the spa because that is where the spa shell cracked. Lessons learned is never add control joints where a swim spa will be set. This was no fault of Swanson's, It was my fault for recommending control joint locations. All is well now because my swim spa was repaired and I have the spa floating on 3" of crushed rock and a spa pad. The spa pad and rock sit on top of 6" steel reinforced concrete.

They also carved out a lovely hillside with custom stairs, a spacious terrace, and game trails perfect for enjoying the view. LEI works with YesPlease.Garden (YPG) who managed the design process and Fresh Coat Restoration who completed the new fence. The partnerships were well integrated and it felt like working with a single team. See my Google Maps review for more on YPG. We are very happy with our project and would recommend LEI because they were professional, courteous, reliable, and provided clear and upfront pricing. Documenting decisions in writing proved helpful for keeping everyone on the same page. Any problems we had were resolved fairly, such as correcting the direction of our stairs. Aaron is a man of his word but prefers to conduct most of his business through texting. We first contacted LEI and they promptly scheduled a time to visit our property with YPG to see what was possible within the budget we set out. We completed the design with YPG and LEI scheduled a time for the project demolition. A later approximate time for planting was set, but that was dependent on the availability of the various plants we had selected. Everything scoped in the design was completed within the budget and any add-ons we later requested were priced separately and fairly.

After deciding to remove our pool, we hired Aaron as the installer for our new landscape project, and we are so glad we did. For months, work was moving forward almost every day, from demolition prep and grading to hardscape, planting, irrigation, lighting, fencing, pergola installation, pebble work, and the finishing touches. The quality of the work was excellent throughout. The paver patio, carport, and front entry all turned out beautifully, and the plants, irrigation, and lighting were installed with great care. We were especially impressed by the rock and pebble work, particularly the dry creek and front mow strip. The mix of stone sizes gave everything a natural, detailed, and polished look that really elevated the final result. Aaron also has a strong eye for detail. He regularly caught things that needed adjustment, even when we had not noticed them ourselves, and he stayed focused on getting everything right. While there were some issues that delayed finishing the project, Aaron took responsibility and worked with us to make them right, which we truly appreciated. In the end, what matters most is that we are thrilled with the outcome. Our yard feels beautiful, welcoming, and complete, and we look forward to years of enjoying it.

We originally called Jeff to talk about fixing our drainage issues - our yard would flood every time it rained, and pool near the patio and foundation. Jeff was so thorough and explained where all our pain points were and how we could most effectively fix them. We decided to install French drains and pumps on both sides of the house to get water moving the right direction. Once we started digging, Jeff and his team realized we could make the drainage work without pumps by grading the yard differently - saving us tons of money! Naturally, we got excited and decided to increase the scope of work to include more landscaping, a few footpaths, small seating area, a bunch of sod for a new lawn, irrigation and a ton of new plants and trees. Jeff and Courtney checked in with us about budget throughout the whole project, making sure to send us new estimates when I got excited about adding something else to the revamp. The team onsite were great - personable, on time, respectful, and they also seemed to really enjoy working with each other, which we felt was a good sign. I absolutely adore my new outdoor space and we anticipate enjoying it with our family for many years to come. If we ever need more work done, I'm calling TriValley!

Foundation Repair of CA (FRC) is the most disreputable, dishonest company I've ever encountered. I…read morehired them because I didn't want to hire the lowest bidder for a change, and I regret it. I wouldn't sign the contract when told I'd have to do my own masonry repair until sales agent Jesse Marquez showed me FRC corporate material that indicated the brick facade would be removed with a masonry saw, in an approximate 2x2' square. That was false and deceptive advertising. This is what they did to my house. No masonry saw was used, only impact drills, which act as small jackhammers. FRC significantly damaged the entire brick facade, adjacent areas showed extensive cracking, entire areas had the brick facade knocked completely off the house, and the wall foundation was separated from the brick wall entirely. I told the work crew, headed by Luis, to stop using impact wrenches on the bricks immediately, then told them TWICE. Not only did they not stop, despite direct STOP work orders, they then took all of the bricks they'd destroyed, which legally is theft, called conveyance. Jesse Marquez explained that the bricks were so old they'd shattered. Luis returned the bricks after Jesse Marquez called, ignoring my several phone calls and texts. Jesse texted that the bricks were so old they'd shattered. Luis returned them, none were shattered, all were broken by the impact drills. Luis confirmed, texting that the bricks were "broken". They took the bricks to hide the damage. The day FRC received my Contractor's State Licensing Board complaint, FRC messaged that someone would come to assess the damage for repairs, and FRC would repair the masonry they'd destroyed. They first sent Robert Pagan, who acknowledged both that there were no masonry saw marks, and that the damage was excessive. According to FRC, Jesse stated Robert hadn't said this. It wasn't until I pointed out he'd said it while standing in front of a Ring camera did that lie die. FRC then sent Troy Knight, who acknowledged the same, and stated he was there to help, and would see that the masonry was repaired and more. I have several texts, voicemails and emails from FRC stating they will complete the job. They never did. FRC employee Mike Crites was sent to perform the repairs. He returned the following week with the wrong sized bricks in the wrong color, and proceeded to do more damage. This is the work that they did. FRC employee Mike Crites initially stated that he had retired as a mason, he later revised that statement, saying he'd only worked with pavers and concrete. The work performed was so substandard, FRC sent Jovincio, who was the only honest person in my entire dealings with FRC. Jovencio said he wasn't a mason, but had "some training". Jovencio replaced the work done by Mike Crites. This is Mike's effort, and Jovincio's replacement work. The work performed is clearly substandard and unacceptable. FRC acknowledged the workers sent lacked the skills, training and necessary certifications to perform masonry repairs. When I requested that FRC send a mason, and included photos of the work, FRC responded that they'd done me a favor; the workers sent were a courtesy. The very clause they'd ignored (and invalidated) by removing the bricks was cited. That they would do no more, leaving me with the bill for their damage. This is what they left. I obtained a second quote to repair the deficient masonry 'work' FRC workers had done - without a REQUIRED permit, with no mortar pins, odd-sized and broken bricks mortared in randomly, mortar lines that range from non-existent to more than an inch. Crites' also removed the brick facade foundation in several sections, replacing it with sloppy concrete. This is a code-violating 'repair' that is neither plumb nor square. The legitimate mason company from whom I obtained a repair quote updated the quote, which has nearly doubled BECAUSE of the 'repairs' performed by the unqualified FRC employees. FRC called this doing me a favor, saying the inept crew was sent as a 'courtesy'. This is not doing me a favor, this is not a courtesy, this is at best fraud. After signing the contract (under false pretenses), Jesse insisted I needed an additional pier ($3,155) because piers can no longer be placed under a window. A pier was placed under the window. Two other piers were not placed according to the county approved structural engineering ($1,850) diagram. Half the piers were installed in the wrong places, apparently according to Luis' whims. Yesterday Groundworks gave an estimate on properly placing those piers. That's how I learned that the improperly placed piers had lifted a joist completely off its foundation supports. This, too, will require additional expense to correct, before it damages my house - literally to the roof. I should have stuck with Groundworks. This is your cautionary tale - no one who values integrity, ESPECIALLY senior women, shouldn't hire FRC.
