I noticed the bid was based on 3 areas not the 4 we surveyed. ( two other contractors concurred on dry rot areas). I asked for a new bid plus cost of possibly replacing some gutters. The bid came back with another $5000 on top of original bid. Btw. The gutter replacement was not the expense. I asked for photos of the area left out of original bid and it was a corner that did not have dry rot. But I was told if it's a corner it costs more then twice of other areas. First one of the dry rot areas in original quote was a corner. This time they thought they could double the price. Funny thing. The company rep took a photo of an area that's not even dry rot Sort of bait and switch. Not ethical. I did not use them because based on this experience their work may have been shoddy. Stay away

When we contacted Carlos to repaint the stairs he refused to do so, he does not guarantee any of his work, we tried to work a deal with him to buy the paint ourselves so we know the right paint would be used and he stated that he does not work for free. All we wanted to do was get the clients property taken care of, we've had other properties painted before and never had any issues with paint peeling on stairs after such short time. I have a two year warranty with Weathershield Roofing that no moisture from the roof would enter my…read morepremises. After a big rain, my roof leaked. Weathershield came out and said they repaired the leak. I had another company come out to make sure the leak was fixed and you can see, from the pictures below, that Weathershield did a TERRIBLE job and my roof would have leaked again. The rotted wood was simply covered up with new black "paper" and tiles put back. You can see how they "repaired" and did not repair the tile over this leak. Can you believe they left several rotted pieces of wood? I've called them several times but they will not call back. I am deciding whether to take to court b/c my new roofing job cost $4000 that Weathershield should have covered on the 2-year warranty they didn't honor. My new roofing company is Cal-Vintage Roofing. They are GREAT and HONEST! Showed me pictures every step of the repair, including the horrible non-repair by dishonest Gordon at Weathershield. My experience started with a prolonged leak in the kitchen dishwashing machine that went unnoticed for weeks and ultimately required me to bring out mold removal specialists. Unfortunately, that required tearing down the kitchen island, all the cabinets, and the floor panels in most the kitchen stretching all the way into the pantry. Before starting the demolition & mold removal work, I was introduced to Kevyn (the owner) at Grandpa's Truck Construction Services who came out to visit our property and put together a plan of action for reconstruction before the demolition work started with the mold removal company separately. Kevyn immediately struck me as hands-on, detail oriented guy that knew his stuff and he immediately had recommendations, took photos of the existing configuration, and walked me through what to expect next. I also shared with him the desire to avoid insurance and he worked with us on the cost in full transparency and honesty so we all knew what we were signing up for together. Once the demolition and mold removal was completed, Kevyn and his team came out to begin the reconstruction work and did a phenomenal job in a timely fashion.
