In 2017 we took a house we have in Winters, CA and removed the existing garage and replaced it with a larger one.
This project included extending the second floor out, creating a roof deck and placing a laundry room with a toilet in the rear of the garage.
This project was difficult for may reasons. The existing house design, the needs outlined for the project, and the pain in the butt homeowner that I am. Keep in mind while reading this review that I worked some of the trades when I was young, so I have a fairly good idea of what is good work and what is shoddy work.
Adam and Brian at Pacific Craft Builders raised to the challenge.
Although the project took longer then expected, as all projects do, they did get it done in one building season. They handled changes, screw ups, and our demands with aplomb.
The framing on this project was complicated. Adam and his crew worked through it and did an excellent job.
Their subcontractors, particularly Concrete and Sheetrock, did a very good job and I was very demanding in those areas.
The project came in within 10% of our original estimate even with the change orders and additions.
Adam has been good at following up on the one or two minor problems after the project was done. No bitching and stalling...he just took care of it.
We will be using Pacific Craft Builders in the future without reservation. read more
