After a long boating season, my poor boat needed help. I have had numerous poor experiences with…read morethe Mastercraft dealer in town, and had in the past had positive dealings with Shasta Inboards. $1,090 later, I go to take the boat out, and they have removed the drain plug from the rear, not replaced it, and it is nowhere to be found. Not trusting that they wouldn't have removed the middle t-handled plug, I unsnapped the carpet to remove the center bilge access and they had cross-threaded it in trying to put it back and and jammed it. Cannot open it. No idea if the center drain plug is in or not. It is 101 degrees outside, a Sunday, and I cannot take my boat out, am out $1090 and have ZERO confidence that any of the work was done right. It makes me sad, there is nowhere to take a boat to have it worked on in Redding. I suppose there are so many boaters and so few places to have them worked on that any kind of service is accepted. Right now I just want to sell my boat, this is too much work and too depressing.

My repair estimate was $1000 but the actual Price for my repair was $1430! I did not receive a…read morephone call telling me that it would be almost 1 1/2 times more than the estimate. A heads up would've been appropriate. The shop hours of 9 to 5 Monday through Friday make it very difficult to drop off or pick up your boat or motor without having to take a day off of work. I took a day off work to drop off my motor and I had to send my daughter to pick it up so I would not have to take another day off Three weeks later when my motor was finally ready, I paid for it over the phone and let them know my daughter was going to pick it up. I asked them to please help her secure it in the truck I will make sure there are straps provided. I was told they would take of care of it When my daughter went to pick up the motor she asked the service man to please use the straps she had to secure the motor to the back of the truck so it would not roll around. He looked at her like she was crazy, used one strap haphazardly and as soon as she pulled out of the parking lot the motor rolled to the other side of the pick up bed. Their lack of concern for my motor I just paid them over $1400 to repair was horrible All in all very disappointing I will not be returning to this shop

It completely broke down on us in May driving down our neighborhood 20/mph and had to be towed back home then...back to Motor World West. Prior to May it was at Motor World West 3 other times with problems. It has now been sitting in his shop since May of 2018 today..is September 27th. No calls are ever returned and when you reach one of the 3 guys who sadly work there, they tell you the parts just shipped.....and.....months later......still broken unusable UTV at Motor World West. Does not stand by his product and only cares about selling you something and making money....ODES Industries is as crappy as Motor World West....buyer beware. And if you ask for a refund, his answer is..."I WILL NOT DO THAT, AND I WON'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ODES PRODUCT!" Ha...

I dropped my bike off for two factory recalls, trusting them to handle it properly. Instead, they only completed one recall and wanted me to leave it several more days for the second part. I couldn't afford to be without my only transportation, so I had to take it back unfinished. Just a few days later, I removed the seat and discovered a sheared-off bolt exactly where they had worked on the recall. I've never performed my own service -- this was clearly their mistake. When I contacted them, they basically denied responsibility and said the bike "wouldn't have left the shop like that." The frustration and lack of accountability left me feeling completely let down by a dealership I expected better from. Fellow Harley riders -- beware. If you need recall service at Shasta Harley, go somewhere else. They're unreliable, unwilling to stand behind their work, and may leave you stranded or with new damage. Not worth the headache

They are a…read morebusy shop but I was given a timeline to get the repairs done on my Honda Shadow 750 and Frank not only got the work done on time but gave me updates as he progressed in the repair. The repair was more extensive then i had hoped but I let my bike sit for several years, so that's on me. I saw a few bikes that came into their shop that had been previously worked on by others, one in particular had missing screws, bolts, and the wiring needed to be resorted. Always find a reputable shop and stick with them. Frank got my bike running like new- bring yours here!

I Called the shop and asked how much to get a muffler welded onto my Engine [estimate 45.00 + shop…read morelabor] Then when I brought my **Bicycle** into the shop to have them Weld on a YZ80 muffler onto a Header to be mounted on the 2 stroke motor. The estimate went up to $120.00 *Including shop labor*. But His welder was out sick, So they had someone else work on it. It sat at their shop for 2 weeks waiting on the welder to get better. by the time the 3rd week rolled around Monday morning I was on the phone and the gentleman on the other end of the phone said he had another mechanic that new how to weld. Would I be all right with him doing the work, I said yes. 3 days later I was told I could pick it up. The Mechanic that worked on my Ride, He's such a Idiot! The welds are blobs and balls & pitted. Worst welding I have ever seen from a Newbie Welder! I had spent 20+ hours getting that Muffler to a Mirror finish and 3 separate coats of High Temp Gloss Black Baked in the oven at 300 degrees for 2 hours and wet sanded after each time before the next coat. It looked like a Black Mirror I loved it! The Welder decided on his own to re-paint my Muffler to it's original flat black using HTP and charged me 2x times the price of A can of High Temp Paint. The Mechanic was using the paint to cover up his poor job of welding. On top of this I was charged 157.29 for him to weld my Muffler & Paint my Muffler. Yes I took a Bicycle to a Motorcycle Mechanic to get a Motorcycle Muffler welded onto a 2 stroke motor for me. I've got over $2,000.00 into this ride. I was shocked at what he did to my ride and the price I was charged, I'll never send anyone to them.
