After I received my car, from being repaired, discovered that employees had stolen loose change from ashtray and canned beverages. Along with rifling through my glove box. They kept me abreast of the situation. When car was completed it looked great. They even did a terrific job of washing exterior and cleaning the interior. One start sounds about right. I ended up taking my car here after a fender bender. Geico referred them to fix my car should have gone to Toyota. Overall the work was done and fixed expected for the fact that they scuffed and scratched my other head light and didn't take ownership or responsibility for the damage. They tried to wet sand it didn't do anything. Talked to Florencio Alcala and the manger David that didn't want to take part of the conversation saying that they didn't do anything wrong. So they fixed the car but left cosmetic damage which is disappointing. read more

Caliber Collision Carlsbad did a fine job last year when my daughter's care was hit in the rear. A year passes .... and the trunk latch mechanism has failed. Took it in and asked about warranty work and they said no problem. They ordered the part yesterday and installed it today in 5 minutes. My car had a pretty significant collision on the front right corner which included damage to the bumper, headlights, quarter panel, right side doors, right front rim, suspension, and axle to name the main components that were damaged. I was pretty weary at first of bringing my car here after reading some of the reviews, but I also realized that all of the places I looked at had a majority of bad reviews so I relied on Triple A's recommendation (This place). So far I have been impressed with their updates and how they have called me back whenever I wanted an update. The parts from the car company seemed to take longer than expected and the work took awhile to be completed, but I think good things are worth waiting for. I picked my car up this evening and was greeted by Ray and the GM who walked me to my car and helped me look over it. They gave me details of the repairs and let me know that they stand by what they completed and want to make sure that I leave satisfied and stay satisfied. After the initial repair I went to pick up my car (I was eager to get it back) and found a couple of little items I discovered needed to be fixed like a small missing piece from my window molding and the leather in the center had some scratches. They allowed me to take my car and told me they would come pick it up and drop it off for me once they arrived (which they did early the next week). Good customer service, good repair job, and they follow through with what they promise. I will check in months later in regards to any flaws or defects that may arise as other reviewers have indicated, but as of right now I am very satisfied and just happy to have my car back looking good. read more

The staff was welcoming, helpful and attentive. I got regular updates on my car, and they were dead on when it came to when my car would be finished. The store and bathroom was clean, they offered coffee, and everyone working there seemed happy- along with the other clients. I was referred to Caliber by my Insurance company, not mandatory but recommended. I must say, I was very hesitant due to the questionable reviews I read. However, it was a great experience and I highly recommend them!! I showed up without an appt, after an accident, and met Raymond. He instantly put me at ease and was very thorough in explaining all that had to be done (I was a wreck). Because of some parts that had to be ordered, I knew it was going to be a few weeks. During the time it was there, he called every week with updates about the progress. And, they finished in the time he had estimated. I was especially afraid that the color would be slightly mismatched or that it would be noticeable that it had work done. Nope! It looked great!! Not only that, but he gave me a bottle of touch up paint, too! (now I can get rid of a couple of little door ding marks) The reception from the girls in the front was warm and friendly, everyone there always had a smile on their face, paperwork was not tedious and expedited quickly, and best of all...my car looks amazing, way beyond expectation! After being rear ended, I took my car to Caliber for repairs. I am not only pleased with their final work product, but also blown away by their first rate customer service. My service advisor, Eddy, was phenomenal. He kept me apprised of my car's status throughout the process and was very proactive, super polite and just a good guy. I took my vehicle in for an insurance repair and they were not very well at communicating progress of repairs. I got a call late afternoon one day to go pick up my vehicle and was told the insurance company might not pay for the next day's rental if I couldn't hurry to pick up that same day. It would've been nice to give me a heads up, as I was at an appointment and had to drive over an hour to get there, no way I could've made it. They also told me they could work on the other out of pocket repair simultaneously, but that was not done.i was verbally quoted one price, but when I finally picked up my vehicle the quote for the out of pocket was written for $800 more!!! And it was never emailed to me. After speaking to Dave the manager about the higher quote and the work not being done at the same time, so now i need to rent a vehicle again, he offered me an insurance discount and dropped the quote (verbally) by $500. We never talked about when to bring it in. I called a while later to speak to him, but he refused to remember the verbal quote he had called me about. I don't trust Nathan the advisor or Dave the manager and would not recommend this place at all. read more

I got rear ended during Friday afternoon rush hour on the 5 Fwy. Since I've never been in a accident, I did not know of a good body shop. My insurance company recommended Caliber, so they made arrangement to tow the car there. Caliber was quick with the quote. Unfortunately my ins company totaled my car. This is the second time in the past 3 years that (unfortunately) I've had to take my car in due to an accident. They worked with my insurance company and all I had to do was pay my deductible. They were very courteous when dropping off and picking up with snacks, donuts, popcorn, coffee, soda, bottled water, etc available while waiting (if any) in lobby. They kept me updated throughout the process via text messages. I had a battery fail right after picking up car...probably not their fault on body work but i took it back in since it wasn't bad before the accident (guess it hit it's time). They replaced it from the manufacture as I waited no questions asked. When I asked the cost they said we'll take care of it even if insurance doesn't on the bodywork estimate. They definitely went above their "Let us know if we did not exceed your expectations" motto worn by everyone. Great place and people. I would definitely recommend! read more

While driving during the rain on Monday, 4/15, the hood of my 1990 Honda Accord was splashed with some very dirty water that left discolored spots that resisted all efforts to remove them. I called Caliber Collision and made an appointment for this morning and they completely rebuffed the paint on the hood and eliminated the spots. There was no charge for this service. I am giving Caliber Collision - Carlsbad, and manager Dave Carter, 5 stars because of the exceptional treatment I received there. I was in 6 months ago due to a freeway accident that required significant repairs. Recently, the doors on the side of my car where the accident took place started having problems closing properly, and the electrical started to go out. I wasn't sure how Caliber would respond when I came in, since it was half a year later. However, the treated me well! I was given a rental car, and they took full responsibility for correcting the doors and the electrical, as if the accident happened yesterday! The manager, Dave, was exceptionally friendly and understanding through the whole process. When I got my car back, there was a little smudge mark on the side of my car that needed rubbing out, and Dave ran and got the materials and rubbed it out himself! I was impressed that a division of such a large corporation like Caliber could still be so customer oriented. I would recommend Caliber, and manager Dave Carter, to anyone! read more

I am sure that these people repair vehicles just fine but when it comes to trying to get an estimate, they have been terrible. I took my truck in for a dent that was not my fault because you need to get an estimate before you can do anything with insurance. They saw right away but after that I could not get anything done. The person helping me went on vacation and was the only one able to work with my insurance for some reason. They never sent an estimate to my insurance. This may be because I never made an appointment for them to repair the damage which I do not even want to do at this time. It has been months and I am still trying to get them to release my information to USAA. read more
